Distribute functions

Hi,
Could some one explain me how the below standard functions work and what is the differenec between each of them.
1.Distribute by Keys
2.Distribute by keys from sender to recipient.
3.Distribute by reference data from sender to Recipient
4.Distribute with reference data.
I looked at help.sap.com but that did not help much.
Any kind of help is appreciated.
points will eb assigned.
Thanks,
Subha

Hi,
Distribute with Reference Data:
Suppose i am planning sales quantity of materials for a sales representative and one sales representative has 3 customers (say). Now the quantity planned per sales representative has to be distributed among all the customers.
In the level where layout is defined, we wont have customer because it is for planning per sales representative. So on this layout, customer is blank.
Now distribute function should distribute this customer # record to all the customers.
The primary requisite for distribute with reference data to work is that there should be at least one record existing at the lowest level to which we want to distribute. Otherwise, it says no reference data exits.
Material  SalesRep Customer Quantity
M1          SR1          C1           10
M1          SR1          C2           20
Suppose these records are already existing in the cube. When you open the layout at the sales rep level, we will see 30. If we plan it as 90, the delta record wil be
M1       SR1       #        60
Now for this record to distribute among the customers C1 and C2, distribute with reference data fetches the above two records in the cube. When it finds them, it will distribute the corresponding amounts.
for C1, 60*10/30 = 20
for C2, 60*20/30 = 40
So it will generate two delta records in the cube along with the exitsting two records. Finally cube data will be
M1   SR1  C1  10
M1   SR1  C2  20
M1   SR1  C1  20
M1   SR1  C2  40
For the distribute function to run properly,
fields for condition: Keyfigure name
fields to be changed: Customer
fields for reference : Material and customer
If it cant find reference data, it wont distribute and if we save that, a delta record of M1  SR1  #  60 gets saved in the cube.
Hope this example clarified about distribute with reference data.

  • How to return fillable pdf form via distribute function in live cycle?

I am trying to have a fillable form be submitted back/returned by e-mail (through using outlook)to multiple users, via the distribute form function through livecycle, so that they know a pdf form has been completed and sent back and that I can place the information in the dataset as well (in case I need to export the info). Currently the distribute function only accepts it going to one e-mail, even if I seperate the e-mails with a ";". How do I have the form e-mail multiple users and allow me to place the form field data go into a dataset via distribution?

I tried it and I am seeing what you are seeing. If I send to a single user then it works fine. I think it might be outlook blocking the multi-address through programmatic interfaces. They do this so that viruses cannot turn your mail client into a spam generation. This is simply a guess.

  • Urgent - 'Distribute' Function is reffering to wrong planning area

    Dear Consultants
I have problem with 'Distribute with Key' function.
I am using Actuals cube and Planning cube in my multiplanning area.  I like to distribute planned quantity from material level to sales office level. No selections for planning area, year and verion at planning level or package.
In the Distribute function, I am using Sales Office characteristics as field to be changed and Planning Area,Year, Version characteristics as Fileds for condition. I am restricting the planning area to my planning data and year and version to planning year and version in the function.
While executing this function, it selects data records from the Actuals Cube, ignoring the values set in the function for planning area, year and version.
    Please guide.
    Best Regards
    Shahid

    Hello,
In case you don't want to work with your actuals cube for this function, I think you should select the area (and year, depending if you distribute on the same year or not...)in the planning level.
I think that (please somebody correct me if I'm wrong) the data that is taken into account by your function is what is selected in the level, then, the function runs for its own (sub)-selection.

  • I can't use the distribute function in livecycle design?

I can't use the distribute function in livecycle design?
I have spent many hours designing this and the feature is not able to work it is greyed out.
I am using adobe XI (not pro). What am I doing wrong?

    Hello,
Do you want to make the form editable?
    If yes,
To make this you need to Reader Extend the form by following steps.
    - Open the form in Acrobat Professional.
    - Click on Advanced option and then on Enable usage rights…here you can select the various usage rights to be enabled.
    - Save the file.
Now you can distribute this form and users can fill in save for their records, print.

  • Distribute function not working - always freezes

    Hi,
I have created numerous interactive PDF forms successfully, but since this year I have been unable to get the distribute function to work. When creating a form or even editing an existing form once I go to distribute I get through the first couple of prompts before the program freezes and shuts down. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program - when I do this it works one time but then never again.
Has anyone had this problem and is able to help?
    Thanks!

Well I've uninstalled FF22, thanks for the suggestion.
Chrome works perfectly with ZA and C&P.

  • Use of Role Distribute function in PFCG?

    Hi Gurus,
We have a set of roles that will be of cross system nature. The simplest one is the security user admin, being the same across say BI dev, ECC dev, XI dev... etc.
To maintain the sync between systems on any updates to these roles, I tried to explore the distribute feature in PFCG, distributing the role to another system upon any update.
First thing I noticed, is, I can only mention one RFC, also I cannot maintain multiple entries in SSM_RFC for one variable. Hence, I can only push it to one client.
Second, it only pushes the text and menu information. It does not push the profile. Any tcode added to the menu, is pushed, but the underlying authorization is not. and on any push, we have to go to the target client to generate the role for consistency.
Can anybody tell me, where and why can this feature be used? Am trying to understand it
    Thanks

Assign this role to the user in the solution manager client, and ola!

    Hi Abishek,
that was the idea behind this feature. Users needed to log on only once to the Workplace system and could
execute transactions in the target systems without having to log on there explicitely.
As you mentioned, the technical preconditions (RFC-accessability) have to be set up seperately. Please be careful when allowing the systemaccess through (trusted) RFC for the users.

  • How to transfer data between planning functions in BPS

    Hi All,
I have requirement, where user will enter the sales qty plan in manual planning function and need to read the zinfo object to distribute the sales qty accordingly to manufacturing plant and push into infocube.
To fulfill above requirement, i'm thinking to create one manual plan and user will enter the total sales qty and create one more exit planning function to distribute the sales qty for each plant.
For above approach, i need to get the data enter in mannual planning function to exit planning function.
Can anyone let me know how to transfer data from one planning function to other planning function under same planning level and package.
    Thanks you,
    santosh.

    Hi Santosh,
You can achieve the Distribute functionality using the Standard Planning Function for Distribute (Refer SAP Help for details).
Moreover you would not have to do anything specifically to transfer data from one Planning Function to another. The application picks up the latest data records for processing whatever Function you are executing. If you want to execute a series of Planning Functions you could use a Planning sequence to achieve the same.
    Hope it helps

  • Adobe Crashes when attemting to distribute/email Forms

I created a very simple form and saved it as a PDF.  I can fill in all of the form fields but when I try to click the "Submit by email" button or use the distribute function the software crashes and I get an C++ runtime error R6025 -pure virtual function call.
I'm at a total loss, any help would be appreciated.
I'm running Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro which is using LiveCycle 8.05.2073.1.374024

  • How does Illustrator allign and distribute work

    Hi
I am trying to understand what is happening behind the align and distribute functions in Illustrator.
I am working on a PC with Illustrator CS5
I have taken a photograph of a stone wall in to Photoshop:
    Converted it to grey scale
Reduced it with levels to black and white
Then selected the black and converted the selection to paths.
Exported the path as an illustrator
Imported it to Illustrator ( I know I could trace it in illustrator but I prefer t work this way round).
All objects are un grouped and on one layer in Illustrator.
    Select all objects
    Open the Align pallet
    Set Align To Artboard
    Apply distribute Horizontal Center
    Apply Distribute Vertical Center
The objects are distributed across the Artboard
    Select all objects
    Horizontal Align Center
    Vertical Align Center
    Apply distribute Horizontal Center
    Apply Distribute Vertical Center
    The arrangement is different
Do the same exercise with 15 circles of the same size and a similar redistribution happens.
What is determining or influencing the re ordering?
it does not seem to be size or the layer order.

Thanks to everyone who has replied to my question.
    Some interesting information and comments.
I am still unsure as to what logic Illustrator is using. I can understand that layer or other orders might effect the order. I started thinking about creation order and if this is different to layer order. So I exported my dots test file as .svg so I could look at this. I then re imported it at the distribution was more predictable. If I align to bottom, left then distribute h and v I got a diagonal line of dots. This is what I would have expected to get. I still need to test this out more.
    before svg
    after svg conversion
My main problem is that if I am going to use the distribute I need to know and understand what it is doing.

  • Distribute Form Grayed Out

I am using Livecycle Designer ES4 and I opened a form that someone else had designed and made edits and Saved it as my own. When I attempt to distribute the form, the distribute form is grayed out. If I send my form back to the original author and he opens it, he is able to distribute. How can we change ownership of an edited form so that I may distribute it?

    Hi,
you'll need Acrobat installed parallel to Designer.
The menu item in Designer just opens Acrobat an executes its Distribute function.

  • Defining the order of objects when using Distribute?

    VERSION: Illustrator CC Mac
So, I've always assumed that the order of the layers determined the order and position that shapes are moved in the Distribute function.
I'm having a wierd problem today and the order seems to be defined by something I can't figure out. I'm trying to vertically distribute a set of the same shape and instead of counting the shapes in order from left to right or vise versa the distribute function seems to be randomly picking the order of the shape, not basing it on location or layer order.
Here are a couple of examples:
In both examples I have used a Vertical Distribute Center and both groups of shapes are ordered from left to right in the layers palette with the left most layer being the first layer and the right most shape being the last.
What is causing the shapes to be distributed in this order? How do I specify what the order is if it isn't based on layer or position order?

So, I've always assumed that the order of the layers determined the order and position that shapes are moved....
    Wrong assumption. Only true sometimes.
...instead of counting the shapes in order from left to right...
    Wrong assumption again.
So first, let's deal with the above assumptions:
When distributing objects, you are not usually talking about stacking order at all. You are talking about modifying initial reading order based on the initial relative X or Y positions.
Although you want stacking order to be a factor in some cases, you wouldn't want it in every case. Nor would you want it to be the default criteria. To understand this, consider the matter of reading order in text objects:
You open a PDF. As is often the case, it has a plethora of individual text objects. Those objects have a particular reading order which is really nothing but a perception of the viewer based on their relative positions. There is no guarantee whatsoever that the object stacking order corresponds to the reading order (creation order). For all the viewer knows, the body text may in fact have been created before the decorative headlines. The subheads, bullets, and callouts may also have been created in any unknown order.
In fact, I have just such a real-world frequently-reccuring situation: DXFs exported from engineering drawings frequently contain columns/rows of text in which the reading order does not correspond to the object stacking order. If the DXF is opened in Illustrator and then those text objects are threaded, or if their text is copied and pasted to concatenate them into a single text object, their reading order becomes scrambled, because threading and concatenating text is indeed dependent upon object stacking order (as are Blends, Mesh patches, and Pattern Brush tiles). By the same token, if those "lines" of text are distributed for uniform spacing and if the result were determined by the object stacking order, the text reading order would be similarly ruined.
So for this and similar situations I wrote a set of Javascripts which I use to rearrnage the stacking order of objects according to their relative positions on the page (i.e.; their reading order) first, before concatenating the text. But you wouldn't want to have to do this in every situation in which you want to distribute every and all kind(s) of objects.
The concept of "reading order" is not limited to text. Consider a fan of playing cards in a poker player's hand. Or chess pieces on a board. Or a row of houses on a map. Fence slats. Deck boards. Bricks or stones. Holiday icons on a calendar grid. You might want to make the XY spacing of such objects uniform, but that doesn't mean you want the stacking order changed, and inversely it doesn't mean you want the XY positions to be determined by stacking order.
So unless and until there is an "Ordered By:" control with which the user specifies "Stacking Order" or "Reading Order" (which there isn't), the feature just uses initial position values (reading order) as the first sorting criteria, and this is the most "normal" behavior.
...drawing a set of overlapping squares in decreasing size order, smallest on top. Drag the top square out of alignment.
I start with a group of shapes, all repeatedly copied from the first one on the far left...Then I move up the last one up...
On the left is before with two circles on top of each other...
In all the above instances, note that the situation starts with multiple objects already aligned in the direction of desired distribution, and moving only one of them before performing the distribution. So think of the math:
You have a set of horizontal position values: [0,0,0,3]. You want to "equally space" those values. How do you do that if, as explained above, stacking order is not a determinant? How do you "order" three zeros based on their numeric values? The instructions are ambiguous. In such situations, you have to use some other secondary criteria, even if it is arbitrary; even if it is random. Example:
Understand, I'm just replying to your initial post here. I'm not saying there is no bug in the Distribute interface. There may be, and if so, the bug(s) may be version-specific. I'm not addressing what Steve is trying to explain in Post 18: But note that when you do what he describes, the Distrubute Spacing value field automatically changes to zero, even if it is initially set to Auto and you are only clicking the Horizontal Distribute Space button.  (At least in CS3; I don't have later versions in front of me right now because I'm not in the studio and I don't have CC at all because I'm not going to rent Adobe's software),

  • Master Slides - Need alternate solution.

I am an Apple Keynote/Aperture user who desires to create multi-image slides using a grid in which individual photos are deposited into cells like picture frames - sort of like a school yearbook layout. I have experimented with creating master slides using "Tables" and "Shapes" within Keynote, but find that they have limitations:
    1. Using shapes in Master Slides, it is extremely difficult to get equal-sized borders between images using the "align" and "distribute" functions, particularly so if the cells are different sizes. As you are aware, these functions only operate on a horizontal or vertical basis. Is there a function that would automatically align all the cells on a slide in both dimensions?
    2. With Tables, I cannot zoom or re-orient the image other than "fit" or "fill".
I would like to have a variety of various "grids" stored and available for use again and again. I am guessing that some software manufacturer makes a variety of template type grids - like the type graphic artists must use - that can be employed within the Apple system. If these do exist it would make my job a lot simpler. So my question is: On what computer user's forum should I raise this question?
Thanks for your time and I would appreciate any thoughts you might have.

    1. If I click "create a new master slide", Keynote duplicates the nearest master in the list. Is there a way to start out with a blank master?
No. As you say, creating a new master slide always just duplicates the currently selected master
    2. I dragged some images from Finder into media
placeholders in a new slide. Later when I came back to Keynote I found the images had been replaced with a grey background, outline "X" and question mark. What happened?
Keynote doesn't treat images the way it treats audio and video i.e. images are always copied into the presentation, whereas with audio and video you have a choice to simply link to them. You wouldn't see the 'broken' image holders if you, say, dropped some images into a presentation and then moved/deleted the original images in the Finder. Keynote would be using the local copies it made of the images, and would have no dependency on the originals.
The only way I could duplicate this was to actually view the package contents of the presentation and manually delete the local copies of images that Keynote had stored. When I did that to a presentation and then opened it, I did indeed see the grey boxes with question marks that you describe.
Can you describe in more detail what you did between placing the images and then "coming back to Keynote" to find that the images had broken. Was it really just a case of closing the file, and then opening it again?
    3. What is the proper way to select a master slide when creating a new slideshow slide?
I'm not sure exactly what you mean here. Are you talking about the best way to choose which master slide is applied to a new slide that you create in a presentation?
Similar to creating a new master slide, you don't really have much control over which master is used. Keynote will use the master of whichever slide you have selected when you add the new slide.
After that you can do one of 3 things to choose which master is applied to the slide:
    1. Choose one from the Masters button on the toolbar
    2. Drag a master from *Master Slide* area in the slide viewer onto the newly created slide in the Slides area
    3. In the Slide tab of the inspector, under Appearance choose a master from the list of thumbnails

  • How to Allow the End User to Save a Form

How do I allow an end user to save form after they've filled it out? I understand this can be accomplished using the distribute function where you email the form to people. We don't want to do that. We want to put it on a website and allow them to access it, open it, fill it out, then save a copy to their hard drive (with the data they entered visible). I have searched the forums and cannot seem to find a solution for this.  Thanks, in advance!

Hi Kyle. Thank you for the reply.  I do have Acrobat Pro, so I will try that. To make sure I understand correctly, the form has to be create in LiveCycle Developer, then you have to open it on Acrobat Pro and set the permissions?

  • Data transfer using ALE/IDOC into XML.

    Dear All,
I have to transfer FI document data (FB01) from the sap system ,convert it into XML and dump it in 1 of the file servers.I want to do this using ALE/IDOC.Is it possible to do the same and how.Similarly i want to do the same for Vendor and Customer master i.e sending the data in XML format.
Kindly Suggest how do i go about doin the same..Its very urgent. Please help.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Lailu Philip.

    In continuation:
    Example Purchasing & Selling scenario
We will develop a custom IDoc to carry the billing number from the Service Receiver’s system to the Service Provider’s system. We will populate the IDoc in a user exit on the sending side and we will process the transaction on the receiving side using a custom function module and a BDC transaction call.
No rule conversion, segment filtering or version conversion will be implemented in the model as described in Figure 1.
    Requirements
    • Working ALE environment - See ALE Basis Configuration Guide;
    • ALE scenario design together with the business requirement;
    • Development access; and
    • ALE configuration access.
    NOTES:
    1. All IMG references to transactions are located in the transaction SALE which is the ALE portion of the IMG
    2. This is one way of developing a scenario where no message control exists. If message control exist (EG. On purchase orders) then NAST can be used to call an outbound function module that would create the required IDocs.
    3. Extensive knowledge of IDocs and ALE basis configuration is required in order to understand this guide.
    2. OUTBOUND PROCESSING
2.1. Create IDoc type (WE30) Client independent
The IDoc type refers to the IDoc structure that you will require for your development. In our case the IDoc type is called ZINVRV01. This IDoc type will have 1 segment called Z1INVRV with 2 fields, LIFNR & XBLNR, in this segment. If you require many segments or nested segments then they are also created using the same procedure.
We will create the IDoc of the following structure:
    ZINVRV01
Purchasing and Selling - Invoice receipt reversal
    Z1INVRV P&S - Segment 1
    Segment fields
    LIFNR Vendor account number
    XBLNR Reference document number
    Figure 3: IDoc type ZINVRV01
To create the IDoc type, follow these next few steps:
    • Enter transaction WE30 (ALE -> Extensions -> IDoc types -> Maintain IDoc type)
    • Type in ZINVRV01 and click on Basic IDoc type, click the Create icon
    • Click on Create new (we are creating an IDoc from scratch but you may want to copy another IDoc if it is similar to your requirements) and enter a description, and press enter
    • Click on ZINVRV01 and then on the Create icon
    • Enter Z1INVRV as the segment type (must start with Z1), check mandatory if the segment must exist (in this case check it), enter 1 in minimum number and 1 as maximum number. (Make the maximum number 9999999999 if there are going to be many of these segments in each IDoc. IE. When line items are passed via IDocs), click on Segment editor
    • Enter a description for your segment type and create
    • Enter a description for your segment, enter each field required in your IDoc, in our case type LIFNR across for Field name, DE structure and DE documentation, repeat for XBLNR and press enter to validate.
    • Save and generate, press back
    • To release the segment choose Goto, Release from the menu
    • Check the box on the line of your new segment
    • Save, back and enter
    • Your IDoc type structure should be displayed with your new segment
    • Save and back
    • To release the IDoc type choose Extras, Release type from the menu and Yes
Your IDoc is now ready for use. If you need to add fields or segments to your IDoc type, you will need to cancel the release of the IDoc type as well as the segment release using a similar procedure followed above (except now you uncheck the release box for the segment and you choose cancel release for the IDoc type).
2.2. Create message type (WE81) Client independent
To create a new message type, follow these next few steps:
    • Enter transaction WE81 (ALE -> Extensions -> IDoc types -> Maintain message type for intermed. Structure -> Create logical message type)
    • Choose Create logical message type by double clicking on it
    • Click on change icon to enter change mode
    • Click on New entries to add a new type
    • Enter the required message type, in our case it is ZINVRV and an appropriate description
    • Save and exit.
Your message type has now been created. The next step will be to link it to the IDoc.
2.2.1. Link message to IDoc type (WE82 & BD69) Client independent
To link the message type to the IDoc type follow these next few steps:
    • Enter transaction WE82 (ALE -> Extensions -> IDoc types -> Maintain message type for intermed. Structure -> EDI: Message Types and Assignment to IDoc Types)
    • Click on change icon to enter change mode
    • Click on New entries to create the link
    • Enter the message type ZINVRV and the BasicIDoc type as ZINVRV01
    • Save and exit
    • Enter transaction BD69 (ALE -> Extensions -> IDoc types -> Maintain message type for intermed. Structure -> Assign message type to IDoc for ALE)
    • Click on change icon to enter change mode
    • Click on New entries to create the link
    • Enter the message type ZINVRV and the BasicIDoc type as ZINVRV01
    • Save and exit
Your IDoc is now linked to your message type. We still need to link object types and add the message to the model before we can use the message.
2.2.2. Maintain object type for message type (BD59) Client independent
The ALE objects are used to create links between IDocs and applications objects, to control the serialisation, to filter messages in the customer model and to use listings.
For our own message type and IDoc you must maintain object types for the links.
If you want to check the serialisation for the message type, then you must maintain object types for the serialisation. If no serialisation object has been maintained for a given message type, then the serialisation will not be checked for this message type.
To add an object type to our message type, follow these next few steps:
    • Enter transaction BD59 (ALE -> Extensions -> ALE object maintenance -> Maintain object types)
    • Type in your message type ZINVRV and press enter
    • Click on New entries
    • Enter your object type, LIFNR (We need to use the vendor as a filter object), the segment name where LIFNR resides, Z1INVRV, a number 1 for the sequence followed by the actual field name LIFNR
    • Save and exit.
You have now created an object that we’ll use as a filter object in the customer model to direct the flow of messages to the various logical systems based on the vendors in the filter of the message type ZINVRV.
We now need to add our new message type to the distribution model.
    2.3. Configuring the Distribution Model
This task is performed on your ALE reference client.
2.3.1. Manual Configuration (BD64) Client dependent
To manually configure the customer distribution model, read the ALE configuration procedure, and follow these steps:
    • Perform the Maintain customer distribution model directly function. (ALE -> Distribution customer model -> Maintain customer distribution model directly)
    • Specify the customer model you want to maintain and the logical system that is to be the sender of the messages OR create a new model. (Create model ALE with logical system ALELS1C400)
    • Choose the receiving systems to which the sending system must forward message type ZINVRV to.
    • For each receiving logical system allocate the message type necessary for communication to the receiving systems as per ALE configuration procedure.
    • Create filter objects (in our case LIFNR as the object type with the associated vendor number, 0000018001 with leading zeros, in the object area) for the message types.
    • Save the entries.
    NOTES:
You cannot maintain a message type between the same sender and receiver in more than one customer distribution model.
Only the owner is authorised to modify the model.
To change the owner of a model, choose the 'Maintain ownership of customer distribution model' function. Make sure that all changes will be distributed to all systems that know the corresponding model. To do so, you can use the correction and transport system.
To transport the customer distribution model you should use the Distribute customer model function of the IMG as described below.
2.3.2. Distribute customer model (BD71) Client dependent
After the customer model has been created centrally, it must be distributed to the other remote systems. This entails first of all setting up the communication for the distributed systems and then sending the model.
2.3.2.1. Distribute Model (BD71) Client dependent
This task is performed on your ALE reference client. To distribute the customer distribution model, read the ALE configuration procedure and follow these steps:
    • Make the settings for the communication with the other decentral systems, you have not set them yet.
    • Define the RFC destination for R/3 connections whose names correspond to the name of the corresponding logical system.
    • Create the output partner profile.
    • Distribute the customer model
    • Specify the name of the customer model.
    • You must specify the target system to which you want to distribute the customer model.
    • You must repeat this function for every distributed logical system.
2.3.2.2. Maintain sending system partner profile (WE20) Client dependent
With this function, you define the partner profiles for all outbound and inbound messages on the basis of the customer distribution model.
After you have defined and distributed the customer model, you will have to maintain the partner profiles locally. To do this read the ALE configuration procedure.
    • Enter the output mode (background, immediately) and the package size for outbound processing.
    Requirements
    • The customer model must be maintained.
    • RFC destinations must be maintained.
    • The customer model must be distributed.
    • To ensure that the appropriate persons in charge are informed if a processing error occurs, you must make settings in: Error processing Maintain organisational units.
2.4. Populate & distribute IDoc using ABAP
An IDoc consists of a control record with structure edidc and one or more data records with structure edidd. The control record contains the sender and recipient of the IDoc, as well as information on the type of message.
To be able to pass an IDoc to the ALE layer, you must set up a field string with structure edidc and an internal table with structure edidd. They are used to call function module master_idoc_distribute, which performs the save to the database and triggers the dispatch if necessary.
    2.4.1. Example code
The code displayed below does the following:
    • populates our IDoc segment Z1INVR with the 2 fields XBLNR and LIFNR, populates the segment name and appends this to an internal table used to store the IDoc data;
    • populates the control record info with the message type and IDoc type; and
    • calls the MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE function module which distributes the IDoc as configured in the customer distribution model.

    3. INBOUND PROCESSING
    3.1. Create Function Module
This function module is called when a message type, of type ZINVRV, comes into the receiving system. This needs to be configured and is dealt with later in this section. The function module is passed the IDoc as a parameter.
    Example parameters
Import parameters Reference field Opt Y/N
    INPUT_METHOD BDWFAP_PAR-INPUTMETHD N
    MASS_PROCESSING BDWFAP_PAR-MASS_PROC N
Export Parameters Reference field Opt Y/N

    Exceptions
    WRONG_FUNCTION_CALLED
    Example code
The code displayed below does the following:
    • populates a BDC table with the IDoc info;
    • calls the transaction via a BDC call; and
    • updates the IDoc status according to the BDC error status.
    EXTRACT FROM: Z_IDOC_INPUT_ZINVRV
    Declaration of local variables
    DATA: C_SEGNAM(10) TYPE C VALUE 'Z1INVRV'.
    *-Loop through the IDOCs
    LOOP AT IDOC_CONTRL.
*---Loop through the data for the IDOC
    LOOP AT IDOC_DATA WHERE DOCNUM = IDOC_CONTRL-DOCNUM.
    CASE IDOC_DATA-SEGNAM.
    WHEN C_SEGNAM.
Here we get the info from the idoc table
    IT_Z1INVRV = IDOC_DATA-SDATA.
    ENDCASE.
    PERFORM REV_INV.
    ENDLOOP.
    PERFORM UPDATE_IDOC_STATUS.
    ENDLOOP.
    FORM REV_INV "Reverse invoice form
    Local variables & constants
DATA: C_TCODE LIKE BKPF-TCODE VALUE 'VF11'. "BDC transaction code
Now we can build the bdc table to call the reversal transaction start of screen 109
    CLEAR BDC_TAB.
    BDC_TAB-PROGRAM = 'SAPMV60A'.

    CLEAR BDC_TAB.
    BDC_TAB-FNAM = 'BDC_OKCODE'.
    BDC_TAB-FVAL = 'SICH'.
    APPEND BDC_TAB.
Now we can call transaction 'VF11' with the populated bdc table. The transaction is called inside the idoc-contrl loop, so a transaction will be called for every idoc (journal). the transaction is called in no-display mode ('N') because this code runs in background as it is called by ale. The update is specified to be synchronous ('S') because we have to wait for the result to update the idoc status correctly.
    CALL TRANSACTION C_TCODE USING BDC_TAB MODE 'N' UPDATE 'S'.
Store the return code for use in another form (status update)
    RETURN_CODE = SY-SUBRC.
Here we check the return code, if there was an error, we put the transaction in a bdc session for the user to review and correct.
    IF SY-SUBRC NE 0.

Figure 5: Inbound processing example code
    3.1.1. Debugging inbound FM
Use transaction WE19 to test inbound function module in debugging mode. Also use WE05 to view the IDocs and their statuses.
    3.2. Maintain ALE attributes
The inbound function module needs to be linked to the message type and the message type needs to be linked to the appropriate inbound process code at the partner profile level before the scenario is enabled. These steps are described below in detail.
3.2.1. Link Message Type to Function Module (WE57) Client independent
To link a message (ZINVRV) type to a function module (Z_IDOC_INPUT_ZINVRV) follow these steps:
    • Enter transaction WE57 (ALE -> Extensions -> Inbound -> Allocate function module to logical message)
    • Select an entry (EG. IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS) and copy
    • Type in module name Z_IDOC_INPUT_ZINVRV
    • Type in basic IDoc type as ZINVRV01
    • Type in message type as ZINVRV
    • Type object type as IDOCINVOIC (Invoice document) - Used for workflow
    • Direction should be set to 2 for inbound
    • Enter and save
3.2.2. Define FM settings (BD51) Client independent
    • Enter transaction BD51 (ALE -> Extensions -> Inbound -> Define settings for input modules)
    • Click on New entries
    • Type in the name of the new function module Z_IDOC_INPUT_ZINVRV
    • Enter 0 for mass processing in the output column
    • Save and Exit
3.2.3. Maintain process codes (WE42) Client dependent
A process code needs to be maintained on each client. It then needs to be linked to the message via the partner profiles on each client. This allows the various clients to use a unique function module for the same message type.
To maintain the process code follow these steps:
    • Log on to the appropriate receiving system client
    • Execute WE42 (ALE -> Extensions -> Inbound -> Maintaining process codes inbound)
    • Choose Inbound with ALE service
    • Choose Processing with function module
    • Click on Processing with function module and choose create icon
    • Click on New Entries
    • Type in process code ZINR and give it a description and save
    • Now you are asked to Please maintain codes added in ALE entry methods, enter and choose Z_IDOC_INPUT_FIRVSL and copy it. You should choose a FM similar to your one.
    • Enter your process code ZINR
    • Enter your function module Z_IDOC_INPUT_ZINVRV
NOTE: The next 6 steps are used in workflow error handling.
    • Enter IDPKFIDCMT in object type
    • Enter MASSINPUTFINISHED in End event
    • Enter IDOCINVOIC in IDoc object type
    • Enter INPUTERROROCCURREDFI in IDoc start event
    • Enter INPUTFINISHEDFI in IDoc End event
    • Enter IDOCINVOIC in Application object type
You will need to determine the task associated with object IDOCINVOIC, and then assign the appropriate position to it. This position will then receive the application error messages via workflow.
To set up the workflow area please consult the Workflow config guide.
    3.3. Create inbound partner profile
For each message type you need to maintain the inbound partner profiles.
3.3.1. Maintain receiving system partner profile (WE20) Client dependent
To maintain inbound partner profiles read the document ALE configuration procedure:
    • Add the message type ZINVRV with process code ZINR.
    • Enter the output mode (background, immediately) for inbound processing and NO message code.
    • Enter the position S and choose the ALE administrator 50000085. This position will then receive all the technical ALE errors via workflow.
    3.4. Test
Once the inbound function module has been debugged the scenario should be ready to test in its entirety. If problems occur, read through the relevant areas of this document to check your configuration or code.
    Hope this will help you,

  • Many bugs and problems in Pages 5.0

    Hi everybody!
I just send this bug report to the Apple's feedback team.
Meanwhile, maybe you guys could help me find any solutions? Thanks!
    I downloaded Pages 5.0 yesterday.
It seems that it is impossible to use the Align and Distribute function. When I select more then three objects I can't use those function either by the Inspector window or the main menu at the to of the page.
    Those functions appear in grey.
Also, I noticed that I can't group or ungroup those objects. These functions also appear greyed.
Also, I wonder why Pages 5.0 doesn't allow to show the vertical ruler.
Finally, it seems - as in the previous version of Pages - impossible to select multiple objects with a selecting arrow allowing the user to circle the desired objects. Command-A or click-shift is not an option when you want to select specific and multiple objects in an area. Dammm! That is something so useful in Word!

    UPDATE
    Some problems solved
Notice : I use a the french version. I'll try to use the right terms to get me understanded.
About those functions : group, ungroup, align, distribute... They get available when :
         - you first select one or more objects
         - in the Format Window at right you choose the « Arrange  » menu.
         - Then you select (I'm not shure about this one in english) « Stay on the page ». Don't select « With text ». SEE IMAGE INSERTED here.
Now, what about the vertical ruler? I guess it's all gone in this version.
Also, to easily select multiple et specific objects I didn't find any way better then the shift-click avery one of them. Bummer.
