Distribution of cost over periods in detailed planning in CCA KP06

Good Day everyone
Please advice how to control distribution of cost over periods in Detailed planning in Cost center accounting. KP06.
When detailed planning is carried out which is integrated with MM, distribution of cost over periods is automatically set (02 distribution as before) and i cannot manually set the distribution key to 0 or 1
We are using ECC6
How can i control manual distribution of plan cost while remaining in Detailed planning.

Hi,
You can distribute your planned costs at activity level based on the distributionkey you specified. The distribution is done for the entire duration of activity depending on the Dist key you select. If you do not put any Dist key, then the costs would be distributed equally across the entire duration of activity. If you want to have equal distribution of costs, you can use DK- SAP020 which distributes on earliest dates of activity using Factory calender. If you want you can also define your own DK in SPRO under: Production->capacity requirements planning->operations->capacity requirements->distribution.

Hi,
In case you have done detailed planning for your project you can specify whether you want to copy the detailed planning data using this check box.Planning done using cost elements is called detailed planning in PS. CJR2 is the transaction to do that. For more details you can hit F1 on the field and check.

Use PROJ get object no. and then enter this object no. in rpsco.

Personnel Cost Planning - Detail Planning

I would like to ask you if some user in R3 system can handle the detail planning functionality of personnel cost planning component for all the plans-scenarios for all existing organizational units;
how is it possible and through wich connection between the user and this role.
(For example this user must be able to add or to increase cost items to the total sum of the company)

Please review the note 736170 and make sure that the suggested support package is implemented in your system.
And also please check if your cost plan has the 'Detail Planning Possible' date filled in, because it should be maintained.
If Badi HRHCP00_RESP_OBJECTS activated, then did you try to regenerate the Badi definition for checking the
resposible objects? (Se18)
Is any other Badi activ instead of this one?
In IMG - Cost Plan Runs - Badi Specify Authorizations & Objects in Area of Responsibility if badi is activated, see if you get this error if you deactivate it.
Please check further the configuration for the BSP application. Is transaction PHCPDETLC called properly?

All cost items not reflecting in Detailed Planning PCP

Hi All.
When i am executing the PHCPDETL - Detail Planning .I am able to process the other functions.But when i am trying to access the insert cost items then I can see only one cost item but i have more than 10 which are not coming when i try to increase or add other cost items.
What is that I am missing.
Help appreciated

Personnel Cost Planning and Simulation - Detail Planning

Hi,
I am trying to access the PCP Detail Planning (t-code PHCPDETL) and for any of the Plan I choose it gives me the following error:
No Object exist in your area of responsibility
No data exists for the objects you are responsible for
We are on SAP ECC 6.0 EHP 4.

Hi Asim,
First of all check note 736170 and see if you have sugeested SP implemented in your system.
Also check if your cost plan has the 'Detail Planning Possible' date filled in.
Then check if Badi HRHCP00_RESP_OBJECTS is activated in your system. If it is, then make
sure you regenerate the Badi definition for checking the resposible objects in SE18. The problem
might be another Badi active here instead of the one I mentioned.
Also check IMG - Cost Plan Runs - Badi Specify Authorizations & Objects in Area
of Responsibility if badi is activated. Do a test - see if you get this error if you deactivate it.
Make sure configuration for the BSP application is OK and if PHCPDETLC is called properly?
Note 592085 can be also handy.

How to recalculate the capacity distribution over periods

Hi All,
    I'm working on cProject (release 4.5). In a custom report, I need to recalculate the "Req. Capacity Distribution over Periods" for a given project role, simulating the "Distribution Functions", but I'm not able to find out the ABAP object / FM or similar that split the required capacity.
Can anyone help me ?

Why do we choose APO over R/3 for planning? What are the inputs or other factors that make APO a better planning tool?
Are the factors which make APO a better tool not available foe R/3 planning?

CJ40 Detailed Planning options not active

Hi Experts
I wish to do Detailed Cost Planning for my WBS elements, but when I go to transaction CJ40 >> Extras >> Detailed Planning, the options are grayed out (inactive). So I am not able to do detailed Planning through CJ40.
Can sombody have an idea how it can be rectified.

I think you are trying to access detailed planning from CJ40 in overall value screen. Detailed planning is available for fiscal year wise. Change the period from overall to any current or any fiscal year and now check again, detailed planning will be active now

Report to Check material attach in CJR2 (detail planning)

Hi All,
Is there any report to show which material that i already input in CJr2 (detail planning)
Step 1. CjR2
       2. choose layout 1-701 CE planning
       3. Input WBS and CE
       4. Go to edit and detail planning
       5. Input material no dan plant , quantity, when it save it goes to the total value. But i could not find report to show material that was assigned.

I go to CJR2
Then I put WBS element : let say ABCD
Cost element : 630600
Then I select august and go to Edit - detail planning
I choose item category M and put material number and qty
then save it and post
After that i try to use standard report S_ALR_87013532 ..its only show the plan cost.
I wish there is standard report to check which material has been assigned in the WBS and CE.

Dear Kavya,
1.Product cost by period is used in a REM scenario - Repetitive Manufacturing.
2.Here a product cost collector is created for the material + each production version combination.
3.All the costs(activity posting,Goods issue,goods receipt) are captured in the product cost collector of the respetive material.
4.Each product cost collector has an order number and based on this variance calcualtion and settlement can be done according
to the business scenario.
5.This type of costing can be used for a continous production like cement industry,steel manufacturing(dealing with furnace).
6.Here along with the costing part there are certain other shop floor control parameters to choose or select this scenario or a
Discrete scenario(where Production order's are used).
7.In a REM scenario confirmation will be made against a planned order or even with out any planned order.

Cost Center and Profit Center Planning

Hi,
I have one Co issue. Pls Suggest me the wiseful solution.
Cost Center and Profit Center Planning.
For F-2008 Planning data they have updated in the month of Aug, 07 for Profit and Loss Items and they have revised the plan data of some cost elements in the month of oct, 2007 (say 5% Increas). when comparing the cost center report to profit center report, both are not matching. the reason when i see and reconcile the document nos and values in between cost center and profit center reports i found out that there are some documents are missing in the profit center report.
wherever plan data had revised e.g for cost element Salaries they have updated 100000 Planning cost in the month of Aug, 07. In the month of Oct, 07 increased 5% i.e.5000. In cost center line items details i found 2 documents for Rs.100000/- and Rs.5000/- But in Profit Center Line Items i am getting only Rs.5000/- Value Document.
Note. As and when KP06 Plan data has been updated Profit Center line items are generating. It is not necessary to run any programme inorder to transfer Plan Data from cost center to profit center.
Observations From My Side:-
I tried to run the transaction code 1ke0. i have selected the cost object is Cost Center, version and had given Cost Center Parameter in development and quality clients and executed the same.By this time already existing data either deleting/ riversing and creating new documents fully except manually changed data in profit center through 7ke1.
My Question is
1.Upto what extent it will work.
2.will it be possible to transfer data from cost center to profit center only missing documents which are available in cost center, without disturbing of existing data in profit center.
3.suppose if i done this activity, there are some data which was already transferred from other cost objects like internatl orders & wbs elements to Profit Center. will the data get disturbed (deleted/riversed).
Pls suggest me the wiseful way to solve the

The performance of Distribution of Cost Object Hierarchy Costs.

Dear SAP Gurus.
I am checking the function and the performance about Cost Object Hierarchies distribution with Control Through Variance Key.
The number of production orders assigned to COH is about 100,000 per month.
All orders will be closed at current month and new 100,000 production order will be assigned to COH at next month.
My concern is about performance of Distribution of Cost Object Hierarchy Costs
because a huge number of orders will be accumulatedly assigned to the Cost Object Hierarchies.
I think that the COH will be distributed with not bad performance.
(Actually I want that to be OK.)
What's your opinion about that?

Hi Mahnkwi,
Sender-/receiver-relations should definitely be below 1:1000 or even below 1:500. This depends on other factors like general size of the hierarchy and data to be processed as well. This hierarchy needs to be restructured. In case you do this the
distribution needs to be reversed first.
Below are some other hints on performance in KKPX
- Parallel processing should be used.(note [386508|https://css.wdf.sap.corp/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=0000386508])
- Switch off detail lists since the consume lots of memory.
- Old orders should be archived.
Note [77718|https://css.wdf.sap.corp/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=0000077718] also explains tips to avoid the memory error for transaction KKPX or KKPY. As note explains, you should consider
whether a distribution of the cost elements according to their origin is required; if not, the corresponding indicator should not be set in the costing view of the materials.
If many error message is issued in the error log, this may have bad effect on the memory of your server. In this case, you should make these error message "not to be displayed" by message control in IMG.

PCP - Detail Planning

Hi Experts,
In the detail planning screen Im not able to get any Plans or Cost units in the drop down to edit the cost plan details. Can anyone please suggest on how to get this data displayed to edit the cost plan details. I understand that in IMG we set the evaluation path to PERSCM2 - Compensation Manager of Org. Unit for D_OPA. But as a consultant how will I be able to accesss and modify the Cost plan info.

Hello Everyone,
I've found the solution to the issue and wanted to update the message just so that the answer is available just incase
I was missing a date in the "DetailPlanning Poss.Until" field while creating the Cost Plan Attributes while Creating a cost plan Run. As soon as I have entered a future dated date in that field I am able to get the Detailed Planning screen with all the appropriate values.
