Divs to stick together?

I have a page i'm working on at http://www.metrocog.org/index061613.html
I'm trying to learn how to postion the div on the right of the slideshow so it dose not move when the page is resized. Right now I have them together but if you shrink the page down to much the colored blocks move down away from the slide show. I would like them to stay together no matter what size the page is. I tryed putting them in the same div and that didn't work. I also tryed postion absolute and fixed. Can anyone help?

ALV Grid with rows sticked together

Hi,
Is there any chance to get two <b>rows</b> of an ALV grid sticked together.
This means if the user selects the first row, the second one is automatically selected too. On the other hand, selecting the second row should select the first too.
This also applies if the users deletes one of the two rows.
Using FM REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY btw. and grouping is not useful in this case.

I am not sure if that could be done dynamically however what can be done is when he selects some row and tries to process an event you can check whether the other row is ticked and then pop up a message asking the user the other row will also be selected does he want to proceed with his event of deletion.
So for eg..

Original and duplicate version stick together

I just duplicated a picture in Aperture 3 and wanted to move the duplicate in a diffrent project but both version stick together. If i move one, the other follows..

How to stick together two recordings in Audition?

I've recorded an interview recently but the connection break down, so I have an interview in two parts. How can I stick them together in Audition? Whenever I am saving it together (even if I manage to stick it on Multiple Tracks) it then save each of them separately... Please help! Big Thank you! Vesna

When you have it sounding correct in Multitrack view, you have to do a mixdown to a new file, which you then save as the new complete interview.
And if you are asking stuff as basic as this, I'd strongly suggest having a look at the manual/help files as well.

Getting things to stick together

I am trying to create a very basic game using Flash MX. In
essence, it is a catching game. Objects fall from the sky and there
is a slider at the bottom which catches these objects. When the
objects are caught, they must stay on the slider, therefore making
it an easier target. I want the caught fallen objects to
essentially become part of the slider and so if another falling
object lands on one already caught, it will also be caught. The
part I am struggling with is making the objects 'stick' to the
slider and then act with the slider. I would be very greatful for
any help on how to do this.

Disected a clip, now I need it to stick together again

So, I've been taking video clips a few minutes long, extracting the audio, and cut-n-pasting photographs into the boring parts while maintaining the consistent background audio. But now the audio track is no longer locked to the visuals and the string of visuals are not necesarily locked together. If I try to move this edited version to the side so I can work on a new clip, it breaks up into the sum of its parts.
The question: How do I save what I've done into one block of info so that I can move it around like the original clip?
Also: Is there a simpler way to do this?

Welcome to the discussions.
You cannot put the clips back together after you have done considerable editing. You can 'undo' step by step, but that would just put you back where you started.
You can lock the audio to the video by selecting 'Advanced' and 'Lock clip at playhead' so that the audio stays with that particular video clip or photo.
If I try to move this edited version to the side What are you trying to do here? You can work on any clip by clicking on it. Why do you have to move it if it is already in its place with its audio?
If you really want your edited block to be one clip, with its accompanying audio, and you are finished editing it, you can export just those clips as quicktime, and reimport the resulting quicktime.mov clip. Now it will be one longer clip with all your edits, but you will not be able to edit it further without splitting it/ losing and having to redo the audio, etc.

Compilation series doesn't stick together

I have a series of 20 CDs, all accurately tagged, with files of individual artists. In the browser, iTunes will give me the folder "compilations" as I wanted, but in the window below it will show each file of the album individually - so per album I end up with something around 20 covers - all the same.
What can I do?
I checked the tags and they are fine. Are there any tags that iTunes has difficulties with?

I can try whatever sorting method I want.
I use album/by year/by Artist but mainly plain Album.
The files are scattered.
It is odd as album by year should also make them stick - each CD has only one year. It seems iTunes always groups them by artists in this peculiar case.
In all other cases, I have no problem. Other compilations sort nicely.
I have no idea what's happening there...

Problems of MacPro 2010 Mixing 2gb & 1gb memory together

Actually my MacPro 2010 12-core was running 8x1gb sticks before.
I just got 4 of 2gb sticks memory from a friend today.
And I do have problem mixing them with the original 1gb sticks.
Only plug 2gb sticks in Slot 1,2,5,6 - No Problem
When I have 2 x 2gb sticks in Slot 1&2, 2 x 1gb sticks in Slot 5&6 - Still No problem
However, when I have more them 4 sticks installed in the system, no matter when the combination is(sure I'm talking mixing 1&2gb sticks together), the MacPro just don't can't start and keep the front LED flashing.
So I just want to know anything I did wrong? Is that tri-channel can't run with mixing size of memory?
I know that's not good to mixing the memory in MacPro, I just want to know the reason behind(why it doesn't work), any advice?
p.s. 1gb module 1Rx8, 2gb module 1Rx4 (<- would it be the main reason?)

Both 1 & 2gb sticks are 1333 ECC, the only different thing is "Brand & Size" and "Organization", the original apple 1gb is 1Rx8, and the 2gb is 1Rx4. I heart that different organization mixing together will have a huge chance doesn't work properly, and I guess I'm having this issue right now, haha
I work on CS5 a lot, however 12-core is overkill for everything...I could do anything while I'm rendering the CS5 stuff, so I don't really need more than 16gb RAM to make it faster(for CS5) at this moment, but larger than 8gb should be way better.
The reason I try to mix them up(I know mixing is always fail), is just want to find out if it works or not, if it works, then it should be a bonus, since I can get them with a low price, and if it doesn't work, I can just give it back.
I just wanna make sure
*those RAM won't hurt my system(if it doesn't work properly with MacPro), and how can I make sure it?
*if I got no choice, I might get 8 sticks of those 2gb(since the price is really cheap) and sell all the 1gb sticks(if those 2gb RAM is no problem)
*Ideal for me is upgrade 4 sticks at a time, like 4x1 & 4x2, then 4x2 4x4, etc.. but I guess this wouldn't work...

DIV Confusion... Basic help for a measly beginner

Everything is going   great... except I am having trouble getting my footer div to stick to   the bottom of my browser window but still stick to the white content area. Div with a image

Hi ,guys, when I use the image on the site and div to control
its position, I put the div and text together in the layout.But i
am not sure how to layout and make them look well as the image

Floating sidebar divs in DW6

I'm trying to totally remake my antiquated FP website using DW. I'm a goat herder and DIY'er and NOT a coder. Using fluid grids in DW6 I'd like to use three divs stacked on the left to be my side bar (#logo, #mainNav, #sidebar) and then three divs stacked on the right for #header, #content,# footer. I can't get the 3 sidebar divs to stay together vertically once the content div is longer . I know it's a float issue but can't figure out how to deal with it. I want separate divs on the side bar so that i can make the bottom one hidden for mobile devices.
Is there a way to do what I'm trying to do?

The way you're describing it, no. For better help, we need to see a link to your page.
Always build Mobile first because everything else is based on that primary structure. Then build Tablet, followed by Desktop.
Basically, you need a very basic HTML5 structure inside your body tag.

Related tabs are not opening together

I recently got a new Windows 7 laptop, and decided to use Firefox Sync to move everything related to Firefox over. I think it got everything, and I'll be going through later to be sure and add my Stylish and Greasemonkey scripts. Everything looked fine...'till I started opening new tabs. Every tab opened in a new tab at the far end. Related tabs weren't sticking together. I've checked my settings, and everything looks in order; I can't figure out what's wrong.

Text sticks to the left edge...

Hi
i have tables, labels, text fields, and many more controls where i experience this in my application.
The text starts at the very left edge of the control, thus appearing very sticky and a little not very clear.
Is there a way that this problem could be solved...? (like i wanted atleast some fixed gap everytime in each of these problematic controls.....!!)
Since I have localised resource strings to fill in the controls i am talkin about so its not very
feasible to manually insert a space of so on the left end of the string in the control.
Kindly suggest.
1. This above behaviour seems to cut a portion of the letter 'W' when it comes in the beginning (left most character in a string...the part of the letter W that bends a little out on the left is what gets cut off!! : (

Also, when in a Table, i have two consecutive colums with the alignments bringing them together....(say the left column has right aligned contents(say numbers) and the other column has left aligned contents...in that case because of the 'above mentioned lack of margin/space of the contents with the edges of the control' the two columns' contents stick together and it appears very confusing to look at.

the part of the letter W that bends a little out on the left is what gets cut off!! : (I seem to remember this a a know bug. I'm not sure if its for all fonts or not, but appears to be ok in JDK1.4.1 using the default font. Check the bug database for more information.

Pages linked together

When working in pages as a word processor, a new page is created when I go beyond the bottom margin. That new page is linked to the page above it and cannot be deleted without deleting the whole thing. How can I avoid ever having this linking of pages. It does not happen in Microsoft Word and is very irrritating.

That is not true.
Microsoft Word has page based text flow as well.
It helps if you tell us what version of Pages you are using.
If you want to break up your document insert a Section Break where you wish to divide it.
The pages of a Section stick together because they are one continuous flow of text.
I am not sure what you expect to happen when you effectively rip out a page from a book ignoring what comes before and after it. Including text in mid-sentence.

MSI-6315 ver 1 only reading half of each stick of RAM

I have two identical sticks of 256mb PC133 ram and each shows up as only 128mb when used in MSI-6315 ver 1 motherboard. I have the latest BIOS (ver 1.3) for this revision as far as I know. I've tried both sticks together as well as 1 at a time in each of the two slots. Any suggestions?

I found out that exact thing while looking up the specs on the memory. The chips worked fine on a VIA chipset mb, but the Intel chipset is just too picky. Thanks for the reply.
