Hello everyone, I would like to preface this post with, this is my first time dealing with DNS records. However, the instructions seem a little confusing, so i would like your professional feedback.
Currently using Godaddy for hosting. Ill start with the instructions, then my set up, my result and my questions.
Instructions:
You will be adding two separate TXT entries to your DNS record - note - be sure that you do not add any carriage returns when copying the key, below:
First Entry (This is called the DKIM policy record):
Name: _domainkeyTXT: "t=y; o=~;"If your domain is 'foo.com', then the 'name' entry will look like this when it is displayed as: "_domainkey.foo.com"
Second Entry: (This is called the 'selector record' and includes a public crypto key):

You can send a test message to a yahoo email address, then select Actions->View Full Headers in Yahoo
when you view the email. If you have configured DKIM correctly, the header information for the email will include a line similar to:

Questions
1. Should the TXT value include "", like they have it in the instructions?
2. In the first entry, should there be so many spaces after the .com: t=y
3. What are carriage returns? (assuming spaces)

but I don't understand anything else then you will use Godaddy.
What is the aim of this? Connecting an email domain to your internal network or about web services? Please be more specific in your description what you are trying to achieve.

SQL Loader problem while loading records from txt file to database table.

Direct path load, can only be used with SQL*Loader and Database have the same version.

everything is fine but the # at the and of record is not getting eliminated.
I have tried with CR_LF and NEWLINE tooo ... no use....

if you open dataset in text mode and read dataset into <textvar or string>, the linefeeds should not be read but used to distinguish lines of (possible) different line length.
The # character just means non-displayable character. Depending on where the file comes from and how it was created and/or transfered to SAP server, this may be anything.
In debugger, you may switch to hex view and see what it is. Compare to the attributes of CL_ABAP_CHAR_UTILITIES and choose the right one for deletion or replacement.

How to make this faster?? read millions of record from txt file

Hi there,
I got an issue. There is a txt file contains 2 million records, I also got another file contains over 10000 numbers. Now, I need to compare this 10000 numbers with that 2 million records if any records contains a number which belongs to 10000 number set, i retrieve this record and keep it. later on, when i finish the comparison i'll write all the result records into a txt file.
What kind of data structure shall i use to keep the records and numbers? how to make the comparison quicker? Any idea will do!

if i were to do it, i will insert bout the records into the db. then do an sql statement on the two tables to get the results. Then get the rs and output it to another text file.
just my opinion. not sure if this is faster.

There is nothing wrong with your code it removes the lastline, if there is no carriage return on it.
If your input file is like:
line1 <cr><lf>
line2 <cr><lf>
line3
The result is:
line1 <cr><lf>
line2 <cr><lf>
But if your input file is like:
line1 <cr><lf>
  line2 <cr><lf>
line3 <cr><if>
The result is:
line1<cr><lf>
line2<cr><lf>
<empty line>
So when you have a carriage return on the last line, it results in an empty line, can this be the cause of your problem?

How can I write waveform data to a txt file or an excel sheet?

I want have a table that I can follow up in excel. In first column should be the timestamp (in ms or better in us), in the second column should be the value. I made an effort but it doesn´t work.

Yes, you must change block (Get Date/Time String.vi).
You must write new subVI - this new VI convert date and time to the second [or ms or us].
First choice is: time column will be count of second [the better ms or best us] since 12:00 a.m., January 1, 1904, Universal time[function "Get Date/Time In Seconds.vi"].

Hi Friends,
My requirements like this way, any changes make in mara, mard, mbew, makt, vbak, vbap, vbrk and abrp table. that newly created data should come in .txt file of application server.
I have already developed a program for that. it is downloading data in every 3 hours slots. it is running in background. whatever changes made during these hours it will download.
now, my requirement has been changed, instance data should come in .txt file of app server. e.g. when newly created record save in database table, same time that record should come in .txt file with proper format.
is it possible? please let me know.

Hi Parag,
To obtain changes you know you can get the details from the tables CDHDR and CDPOS.
Also you have questions about performance and so. SO here are some details.
- When you flag a data element for change document (is checked) it is ONLY a marker that allows for registration of this field's changes into CDHDR and CDPOS. The actual control is done on datafile level in its technical settings (Transaction SE11 with datafile name and then push button "Technical Settings" or CtrlShiftF9). Herein you will find a flag "Log data changes".
Within the CDHDR file and CDPOS file a field OBJECTCLAS is used. Only for existing OBJECTCLAS values the changes are logged.
- Now obvious this is the trick for standard SAP (as Subramanian has already pointed out you can find "OBJECTCLAS" values with transaction SCDO). If you want to know on how to create your own "OBJECTCLAS" values with working logging on your own designed fields follow Subramanian suggestion and read the documentation.
Now to your questions:
You gave some tables you need to track changes (and now also for initial creation) like MARA, MARD, MAKT and others.
To get changes for these tables use the following "OBJECTCLAS" values:
- MATERIAL (Tables MARA, MARC, MARD, MBEW, MFHM, MLGN, MLGT, MPGD, MPOP and MVKE). By-the-way, this object will be replaced by MATERIAL_N (available from release 4.6x).
- VERKBELEG (Tables VBAK, VBAP, VBEP, VBKD, VBLB, VBPA, VBPA2 and VBUK).
To collect changes (suggested by Andreas) you could use function module CHANGEDOCUMENT_READ. This is very usefull if also archiving is active for the objects you need to track changes for and your changes are scattered through time, but for your problem it is better to approach the log data directly.
1. First select the main change documents from CDHDR table for a given "OBJECTCLAS" and "OBJECTID". Here you can use additional filtering on DATE (field UDATE) and TIME (field (UTIME). Even filtering on a specific transaction is possible (field TCODE).
This gives you a number of change documents (field CHANGENR).
2a. Secondly select the specific field changes from table CDPOS by using the found fields from CDHDR and additionally fill TABNAME with the specific table and if required FNAME with the specific field name. 2b. Since in your case the values will not be known, you need to track changes, you have to be very carefull in your selections. If you track the object MATERIAL or MATERIAL_N, you best loop over the MARA table and for each MATNR fill the OBJECTID field of CDHDR with this MATNR value.
3. In order to find NEWLY created items you need to check the CHANGE_IND flag. When 'I' it is an new insert, when 'U' it is an update. Now this rule applies ONLY to key fields, since SAP first creates the key record (CHANGE_IND = 'I') and then the other fields (CHANGE_IND = 'U').
Finally the warning given by Andreas (runtime increases - you MUST select with OBJECTCLAS and OBJECTID) is very important. Not supplying OBJECTID will have a very heavy impact on the runtime.
Hope this gives you some clues on how to approach your problem.

Hello! This is my first time in this discussion group. The question posed is the subject line itself:
What is the smallest data structure record in a .TXT file record to be recognized as an Apple Address Book "Data Card"?
I'm lazy! As a math instructor with 40+ students per class per semester (pCpS), I would rather not have to create 40 data cards pCpS by hand, only to expunge that info at semester's end. My college's IS department can easily supply me with First name, Last name, and eMail address info, along with a myriad of other fields. I can manipulate those data on my end to create the necessary .TXT file, but I don't know the essential structure of that file.
Can you help me?

How to Open the FailedFilesLog.txt File (statement), and How to Increase the 100 File Limit (question)

It took us a while to figure this out, so I'm posting this in case it's helpful for someone out there. Plus, I have a question...
DPM gave the following error for one of our file servers:
Description: The replica of Volume D:\ on <servername> is inconsistent with the protected data source. Number of files skipped for synchronization due to errors has exceeded the maximum allowed limit of 100 files on this data
source (ID 32538 Details: Internal error code: 0x809909FE)
Recommended action: Review the failure errors for individual files from the log file
\\?\Volume{8492c150-f195-11de-a186-001cc4ef89a0}\B1E9D373-2C03-464E-A472-99BC93DB1E2A\FailedFilesLog.txt and take appropriate action. If some files fail consistently, you can exclude the folders containing these files by modifying the protection group or
moving the files to another location.
So, how do you actually open the FailedFilesLog.txt file shown in this DPM alert? What is this path referring to? Well, this is the mount point for the protected server's replica volume on the DPM server, which is mounted under \Program
Files\Microsoft DPM\DPM\Volumes\Replica\servername\File System. Here you'll see the mount points for all of the server's protected volumes. However, if you try to open one of these mounted volumes
in Windows Explorer, you'll get Access Denied, even if you have administrator rights. (If someone knows of a way around this, please let me know). As a workaround, you can access this mounted volume in an elevated
command prompt. Steps:
Open an Administrator Command Prompt
Type mountvol <AnyAvailableDriveLetter>: \\?\Volume{VolumeGUID}
Example: mountvol m: \\?\Volume{8492c150-f195-11de-a186-001cc4ef89a0} Note that we're only using the first part of the path to the FailedFilesLog.txt
file given in the DPM alert, starting from \\? and ending after the
} character.
Next, type m: to change to the newly mounted m: drive.
Then type cd B1E9D373-2C03-464E-A472-99BC93DB1E2A This is actually a folder name so we're just going into this folder.
Finally type dir and you should see the FailedFilesLog.txt file. This file can be copied to another location where it's easier to use (i.e. in Windows Explorer).
Be sure to unmount this volume when you're done by typing mountvol m: /d in the command prompt. (Mountvol reference:

What a pain, eh? But at least by reviewing the FailedFilesLog.txt file you can determine which files or folders caused the sync to fail and thus take action accordingly.
Now, here's my question: Where is that registry key that lets me adjust the limit of 100 files that DPM allows to be skipped before it fails the replica? Hopefully someone out there will tell me. I know this can be done because Kapil Malhotra

Do I add this registry key to the DPM server or to the protected servers (or both)?
In either case, the ContinueOnFailure key does not currently exist. So, I must create this key and the MaxFailedFiles DWORD value
manually, right?
Does the server in which I create this regkey have to be restarted for it to take affect?
Can the DPM alert for the 0x809909FE error event (for exceeding the limit of 100 failures) please be adjusted to provide a path to the FailedFilesLog.txt file
that actually works if you click on it?
Any ideas on why the 0x80070002 "File not found" error happened? The files on the server were simply created and then deleted. Why would such file activity lead to this error?

You can type the questions on diffrent lines. Then using io you can use the InputStream.readLine() function to get each question individually.

A question about DNS records and split DNS

Can someone please help me with the following question
If I have an AD integrated DNS zone (currently running on Windows 2003 R2, soon to be updated to 2012 R2)
lets call the domain MyDomain.Local and here I have all my local Server, Computer and related records (A, CNAME MX etc.)
Also I have an external internet domain lets call is MyCorp.Com (both of these domain are completely separate)
I have a requirement for an internal URL (Web Server) to point to an internal host, however for various reasons (which I will not go into here), the company wants the format of this internal URL to include the MyCorp.Com element in the overall URL
Now the MyCorp.Com domain is hosted externally to the company by a dedicated provider (we just login via a secure portal if we want to add for example and A record to the MyCorp.Com domain) the MyCorp.Com domain is completely separate from the MyDomain.local
domain which is hosted on internal DNS Servers
Question:
without using split DNS can I, create a zone called New.MyCorp.Com on our internal AD integrated DNS Servers (to live along side the standard MyDomain.local) than add an A record to this zone say Host.New.MyCorp.Com
So internal users can locate Host.New.MyCorp.Com without being directed out to the internet (for MyCorp.Com) but internal users will still be able to resolve SomeOtherHost.MyCorp.Com as they do now

access the web server by using an URL which include the MyCorp.com.
In this scenario, internet users access your domain name by connecting to the WAN IP address of your router. However, to make the internal users access the website, you would need
to create the external domain name as a zone on your internal DNS server.
After creating the DNS zone, right click the zone you created, choose New Host Record.

Another DNS record deletion question

I am fairly new to the environment, as i switched my consulting job to an internal job.
The environment was a flat file dns, with one primary DNS server and multiple secondary servers. I move away from the flat file DNS (single master model), to an active directory integrated DNS with multiple DNS zones. So I moved the multiple DNS domains
away from the master zone to their own dedicated DNS zones on the domain controllers within their domain.
The Colleagues already warned me that DNS records tend to mysteriously disappear from time to time, but could not find any proof. I checked the usual suspects (scavenging), but that was disabled. 3 weeks back, I splitted the single DNS zone, in multiple
DNS zones, where the splitted DNS is pointing to their own dedicated domain controllers. I used following procedure to do it:

Since the migration we had several encounters of DNS records which were deleted, some were explainable (wrong ILO settings), but some were not. As i could not explain the deletions, i enabled auditing on DNS to see who or what is responsible for deleting
those objects. This morning i was notified that again a records went missing, so I went to inspect the audit logs. To my surprise I saw that my admin account was logged with the record was deleted. Now I did not delete any records, have no scripts running
that modify DNS in anyway, and i seriously doubt that my admin account has been compromised. Is there anyone who could explain why records (A records of members servers) are being deleted, although scavenging is disabled?
I have checked the DNS suffix, and verified that it is not set. In which the client uses the active directory domain to which it is a member.

Because the Active Directory integrated DNS replication between all the DNS server, one of the DNS server delete the record others will delete the record too, so Mahdi’s suggestion
is better to know what happen when the DNS records deleted.

In order to read the last line you must read all the lines before it. To read lines you can use the BufferedReader and LineNumberReader classes.
