Hi all,
I used to run my program with 8.2 LabView software . Now i m updating into 8.5 version .
Do i need to change anything or reconfigure my cRIO controller ?

Hi Roxylat,
For just a LabView upgrade, you do not need to reconfigure your cRIO. However, for future information, you do need to reconfigure the cRIO in any of the following circumstances:
1. You change the versions of either NI-RIO, NI-VISA or Real Time.
2. The NI-RIO versions on your controller and your PC are not the same.

In my experience I've found that when I don't do the reset before and after I invariably have problems. For example when I updated my N97 to the v22 firmware the auto-rotate function stopped working properly.
I actually also remove all apps and format the mass storage prior to the firmware update which ends up taking a ridiculously long time with the reloading of my media and maps but I now realize that I'll end up having to do it anyway so I might as well do it properly the first time.
It could just be the N97 as it's such a hunk of junk but I think it's more likely that it's an issue with the update process in S^1.

I am having a script to deploy a VM from an CSV file . I need to change the vm ( CPU & Memory) configuration after vm deployment. where the name of the vm should be taken from csv.So any help is much appreciated.
Attaching the script used . ( downloaded and works fine)

A simpler, but not optimal, solution is to use the Wait-Task cmdlet.
Something like this

My xdcam footage previously imported into my new mac pro but after the update i now have the ferris wheel of death. Does anyone else have this issue

i tried resetting PRAM, i tried updating my plugin http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/pdzk-lt2 for the import window, i eventually had to give up as my imports were still causing my mac pro to hang. i eventually decided to look back at a sony content browser tool called Software: NXCAM + XAVC + XDCAM : Content Browser V2.2 (Win + Mac) which is now importing my footage to my external drive. the developers at sony and apple need to get together to fix the issue as im sure im not the only one who will have this problem with their xdcam footage ingest.

Reconfigured network lists after updating to 10.6.1

Our fifteen Mac Pros and iMacs are showing the Shared/Network computers in a weird configuration now. I took a scren shot, but i'm not sure how to post it to apple discussions. When you view the shared section in a window you get all the Mac Computers located on a network. When you click "all" at the bottom, we used to be able to see every single PC or Mac in our district. Now for some reason, we only see Mac computers on our network and a lot of grey colored balls indicating workgroup, mshome, etc. Accessing those no longer shows any type of PC on the network. We need to be able to see the PC's because we have several network drives we use to access music and animations. Has anyone seen this change? How do I get it back to showing all the PC's and Macs?

What are the PCs running? I am pretty sure that Vista and Windows 7 were changed.

Help needed - bose sound dock problems after update

I recently updated my iphone 3GS to the new iOS5 update and ever since then, it will not play music through my bose sound dock and it won't even charge. Has anyone else experienced this problem and if so, is there a solution yet? Seems like an expensive waste of kit to have my bose sitting there lifeless!

If you go to this page: Apple - OS X Mavericks - Do even more with new apps and features. and do the Upgrade now button, it will take you to the Mavericks page in the App Store and you can download it again. At least it worked for me.

I mean, i have an OEL5 box with 10g Rel2. I have configure the server with a static ip address.
This server will be sent to another location and it's possible the ip address will be changed. It will remain a static ip, but may change. Since i plan to deliver this server with rman jobs within OEM Database Control. I'd like to know if this will continue working after an eventual ip address change ....

When you created the dbcontrol, the configuration was put in a directory in ORACLE_HOME named something like 'hostname_sid' and there are also files under that where the hostname is baked into either the file name or a property of a configration defined within a file. If it is truly hostname, you might be ok, but if it is actually IP address instead of host name (I have seen that) then you obviously have a problem.
Over the years (and across several versions) I've found the OEM repository to be rather "brittle", and Oracle to have a rather cavalier attitude about rebuilding it. As a result, I specifically DO NOT have anything important - and very specifically my backup jobs - in the repository. I still schedule my backups through rman, though I know many people use dbms_scheduler. But even that appears to not be the same as an oem controlled schedule.

Typically, when changing out networking hardware, it is always a good idea to perform a complete power reset of all of your networking equipment.
I would recommend that you do the following as a minimum:
Power-down the modem, AirPort base station, and computer(s).
Power-up the modem; wait at least 10-15 minutes to allow it adequate time to initialize.
Power-up the AirPort base station; wait at least 5-10 minutes. Note: The AirPort's status light may continue to flash amber after it has intialized. That is because, there may be some additional configuration items necessary, like setting up wireless security, before the overall setup is completed to get a green status.
Power-up your computer(s).
If the above steps do not solve the problem, start over with step 1 above, but then perform the next steps between steps 1 & 2. above.
Disconnect the AirPort base station from the Internet broadband modem.
While all of the devices are powered-down, perform a "factory default" reset on the base station. This will get it back to its "out-of-the-box" configuration and make setting it up much easier, especially if you use the "Assist me" process within the AirPort Utility. (ref: Resetting an AirPort Base Station or Time Capsule)
After the base station resets, go ahead and power it back down.
Reconnect the AirPort base station to the Internet broadband modem. For the Extreme and Time Capsule, be sure to connect the cable to the base station's WAN (circle-of-dots) port.
Continue with step 2 in the first set of steps.
In this basic configuration, the AirPort base station will broadcast an unsecured wireless network with a Network Name (SSID) of Apple Network NNNNNN. Network clients, connected to the base station either by wire or wireless, should now be able to access the Internet through the ISP's modem. Once Internet connectivity has been verified, you can use the AirPort Utility to configure the base station for wireless security and any other desired options. Please post back your results.
