Do i need wired keyboard during the installation?
Hi,
I am trying to install OVS 3.3.1 on my home computer. I currently have a wireless keyboard and mouse for that computer. While bootup using DVD, it asked to press enter to continue and I was able to press enter using the wireless keyboard.
After sometime it is at screen which say Disc Found and asks whether I want to do media test. At this screen the keyboard is not working. Is there a requirement to have wired keyboard to complete installation and use OVS later on?

Hi Vishal,
I'd suspect, that you'd really need a physically wired keyboard, less you have some IPMI hardware available. Seems that the mininal install kernel lacks support for the USB device you popped into the PC and thus doesn't recognize the USB device as a keyboared.

SAP authentication plug-in needs to have been selected during the installation
Can anyone help me with an issue I have with the SAP authentication setup please. Unfortunately our BI 4.0 SP4 installation was installed without the SAP authentication being selected. On the setup document I have it says that the SAP authentication plug-in needs to have been selected during the installation. Does anyone know if it is possible to set this up retrospectively?

As Sebastian said, this is a default installation, but you must select the correct one that you need, I guess that Enterprise is the default one.

I am using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS.I've never had this problem before... today I opened iTunes and it prompted me to download the newest version. I use iTunes all the time and have updated it multiple times with no issues. During the installation process it gave me an error message that said:
Runtime error!

I quit the installation, uninstalled iTunes and rebooted my computer. I now receive a similar message with a slight difference:

I did not leave anything out from the error message. It doesn't point to a specific file, it just ends with "(x86)..." Every time I boot up my computer, this error message pops up on my desktop.
How do I repair this issue? I have found multiple suggested solutions but am unsure which one is the best, and I don't want to try a bunch of different things for fear I may make the problem worse. I would like to try and fix this myself if possible but I need to know if that is really possible or if I need to take my computer to someone for repairs. Hello. Today, I was updating my iPod Touch 4th Generation to iOS 6. I unplugged the iPod when it was during the installation because it appeared to be frozen. Now the iPod is stuck at a light blue screen even after I reset it. How do I fix it?
You will need to do a DFU restore by holding the home and power buttons down (while the device is plugged in to your computer) until the device's screen goes black and as soon as the screen goes black, count down from 3 and release the power/sleep button, but keep holding down the home button. Then, iTunes will say the iPod needs to be restored. The restore process will take some time and even though the iPod may appear to be frozen, don't interrupt the restore.

Otherwise, try to fix and update windows system filesas follows:
Go to command prompt (START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES right mouse click "command prompt" and choose "Run as Administrator"
type in
sfc /scannow
let Windows fix any system files that need to be repaired.
Restart the computer if it did actually repair any files.
Then do the download again. -
At first i got a problem with my Apple Mobile Device Support, but then after i've done some research browsing the net on how to fix that problem, i've finally found the solution to that problem... However, after I've finish installing and trying to run ITunes, there's a pop up says Error 2 , Apple Application Support is needed to run ITunes.... So i've followed the instruction and suggestions given out which is to extract my iTunes64Setup and install Apple Application Support standalone manually, but during the installation, an error pops out that really really really could give me cancer.... the error goes like this-

Im running on Window 7 ultimate 64-bit btw...OK. If both of you are Windows 7. Make sure you go to Windows update (START button, type in Windows Update). Check for updates and update whatever that are available. (especially Microsoft .NET Framework 4 )
After that see if you still get this error message.
The last resort would be to unistall and reinstall the whole thing.
Follow the steps below:
1. Go to Microsoft website to fix install and Unistall problems. Click "Run now" from Fix it to remove all iTunes & related installer files:

Be aware that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility will not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall over.

During the installation of grid infrastructure(cluster) for Oracle 11.2 RAC One Node on AIX6.1 ( PROD) , ASM used. I am getting below errors when executing ./root.sh
Upon investigation ,I managed to get note: 1068212.1 from the support oracle site ( see below for details) . I might be hitting Unpublished bug 8670579. I also logged Severity 2 SR with Oracle support to get the bug/patch fix and no one has attended the call.
This might be configuration issue or otherwise , if you have experienced the same issue please assist ? ( if you need more logfiles please feel free to request)….
I ran the Cluster Verify Check – all passed.

We are also trying to install 11.2.0.2 Grid infrastructure for Oracle RAC One Node on AIX 6.1. We did a POC in our lab environment and after much struggle got that working. Now we are building 4 clusters in the production environment and the first cluster installation failed while running root.sh on node2. We already have a Sev1 ticket open with Oracle Support but have not heard anything.

Dear Experts,
When applying SAPLicense following error message is geeting, please help how can i resolve this issue
" Error during the installation of permanent license keys"More information needed.
For example:
Your SAP version?
Is it a system copy?
How exactly did you try to delete from SAP level?
Without this information, nobody here can do anything but guess.
There are a lot of SAP notes about similar problems.
But for this you will have to supply more information.
Or better; Search in SAP notes yourself!

I currently have Acrobat Professional 9.5.4 loaded and attempted to load Acrobat Professionl XI on a Windows 7 box. When I do, I receive the below error:

I've tried a few things to resolve the issued with no success. I've tried:
1) setting the RegistrySizeLimit to 4294967295
2) Installed .net Framework 4.5 (upgraded from 4.0)
3) Clearing the transaction log via command prompt (admin level)
I have over 20 users that need the program and performing a new OS load is not an option.
Heeeeelp!!!!!If you had to activate AA 9, deactivate it before proceeding, then uninstall it (though the install should also do that). Then run http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html to clean up the registry for Acrobat. Also, remove any left over parts of the Acrobat folder. Reboot and do an install. Be sure to log in as the administrator and disable anti-virus. Maybe these steps will help. Let us know what else you run into. After the install (if successful), you will need to install the updates. Best to use the Help>Updates if possible.

I am trying to download iTunes for my ipod touch. Everytime I start the installation proccess I get this error message

after this error pops up and I click ok the installer back tracks then installs.. my ipod cannot connect with the iTunes that is installed it says I need to uninstall and install iTunes with 64 bit..

Go into your Windows update and try to check for new updates. If updates install, stock up on the ones you're behind on, restarting the PC if requested to do so. After the restart, try installing iTunes again. Does it go through this time for you?
If windows updates fail to install, go into your Update History and doubleclick the failures. What alphanumeric codes appear for you? Are they also 80070BC9, or some other number? (If they're another number, what number are you getting?) -
I,m start to install my adobe master collection cs5 in a new PC and during the installation ask me a aditional serial number to a previus version (CS4). I put the serial number of my cs4 and recived a message indicating that this number is not correct, but I check in my acount and is correct

check if /bin/ld exist.
On my ubuntu I need to create severel soft links like /bin/rpm.... /bin/awk....
Find program
find /usr/bin/ -name id
Create softlink
ln -s /usr/bin/id /bin/id
