  • When I try to install the program, it requests that I close firefox to continue. When I close the program from the internet, it still states that the program needs to be closed.

    It repreats itself from the beginning stating that firefox needs to be closed in order to continue.

    That would be my first guess.  You might be trying to install the 32 bit version of the program.
    Update the thread with more info on your apple software etc if its a 64 bit install you're trying to perform.

  • Photoshop brush strokes are smaller than the cursor, need to make them the same.

    My photoshop brush, pencil and Clone strokes are smaller than the cursor, which makes it very difficult for accuracy. Don't know what made them change, but want the cursor and stroke to be the same.
    I've tried different settings in the brush dialog box, with differenc tip settings, etc, with no results. Also, tried different settings in Preferences/Cursor setting. No luck.
    Help!

    <<<<
    Under Preferences (cmd k) > Cursors > Painting Cursors, the setting should be Normal.
    Usually "Reset Tools" as described in post 1 helps. Have you tried it yet?

    Yes, I've tried that, and all the variations on that page, without success.

  • Does the browser need to be closed when installing the new flash player?

    I had uninstalled the previous flash player version. Went to the adobe website to download the latest flash player 10.2.152.26. Followed the instructions including using the Adobe Download manager. It just said to click run and said NOTHING about closing out the browser first before installing.
    Should I have closed out the browser first, BEFORE installing???

    Hi, No, not when Uninstalling or Installing from a direct site. Now if you are using the manual Uninstaller/Installer that you put on your Desktop and run from there, then yes.
    Hope that answers your question.
    Thanks,

  • How can I determine programmatically which plot the cursor is snapped to?

    The waveform graph cursor legend shows name of plot currently snapped to (in snap to any plot mode), even as user moves cursor to different plot.  But there is no property to read this plot name!  Active Plot and Plot Name do not update as user drags cursor to different plots.  I'll try to cast the cursor reference to something useful while I wait for a response.

    You cannot move the cursor from one plot to another unless it's single-plot (free and multiplot are the only other choices, and if it's free it doesn't snap, right?) mode AND the plot property is a "-1".  Try it.  I'm using probes and an event case in a while loop (but without a stop button and wait "statement"/primitive ).  That's how I know it's "-1", until I implemented the solution I mentioned above.
    I reproduced your test code (complete with stop button and wait) and got the same results you did, as expected.  The problem with test code is it rarely does anything useful.  Try reproducing my case by putting a case structure in your test code wired to a "free" boolean; in the false case put a "1" wired out to a Cursor.CursorMode property and a "0" wired out to a Cursor.Plot property; in the true case put a "0" wired out to the Cursor.CursorMode prop and a "-1" wired out to the Cursor.Plot prop.  With "free" = False you won't be able to snap to any other plot; with "free" = True Cursor.Plot will, of course be a "-1", no matter where it is, since it is "free".  Bear in mind that I need to give the user the ability to select a plot, click a button, then change that plot's data by clicking and dragging the cursor (the data at the cursor's x coord changes to the the value of the cursor's y coord); when the user clicks the button to change back to the "don't change data, just select a plot" mode, the cursor needs to snap to its current location, which is the last changed data point of the plot that he just changed the data of.  If you can come up with an alternative solution to mine, I'd love to hear/see it!
    But my real point, since I found a viable solution to the immediate problem, is that there is cursor information presented to the user in the cursor list box that I can't get at programmatically!  And this is info I could have used to solve my original problem!  I don't understand why NI wouldn't have made a property for it like they have for other, much less useful, bits of info.

  • Regarding closing the cursor

    Hi,
    I've one doubt. If we've opened any cursor in pl/sql session, & did not close it during code run, is there any chance that the cursor will remain open?
    My problem here is as below:
    We're calling a pl/sql package through a java based application, & the connection will automatically close oracle session after 1/2 hour inactivity. But the oracle session is not getting closed. Probability is that the oracle session is still active(which may be because of open cursor)
    Inside a package, a open cusror call was made, but there was no close cursor statement. Can this statement create any problem like above or is there any other possibility.
    Thanks
    Deepak

    The issue seems to be a concern that rows listed in V$OPEN_CURSOR are currently open. My experience is that that may not necessarily be the case.
    While rows in V$OPEN_CURSOR were probably open sometime in the recent past, there's no guarantee they are open RIGHT NOW. Sometimes entries get left in the V$ tables long after I think they should be aged out (this morning I found a last executed time in V$SYSSTAT from 2 days ago). Conversely, sometimes I cannot find things I am looking for that are running right now.
    I agree with Rob's assessment that if you're not using a cursor it needs to be closed to release system resources.

  • L need help with textedit, I inserted a picture then the cursor went from small to the size of picture and l need to write a header next to the picture not at the bottom of it. can anyone help please?

    Can anyone tell me how to make cursor smaller after inserting picture so that l can add somethimg right next to it instead of bottom of picture. Meaning the next line is too low

    AFAIK, you can't. The nature of TextEdit is that it allows the picture to be treated as a character and adjusts the cursor size for that line.
    You need a app that supports transparent overlays.

    I got it going.
    This was the 10.2 download from OTN installing to MS Windows XP SP2.
    Turns out that OUI won't start if the total length of the full directory path string is too long (to setup.exe or oui.exe). Solution was to move it closer to the base directory ("\") or to rename directories to make them shorter.

    Press the key combination command-F5 to deactivate VoiceOver. If that doesn't work, proceed as follows.
    For OS X 10.7: From the menu bar, select
     ▹ System Preferences ▹ Universal Access ▹ Seeing ▹ VoiceOver: Off
    For OS X 10.8 or later: Select
     ▹ System Preferences ▹ Accessibility ▹ VoiceOver ▹ Enable VoiceOver: Off

    hi use onmouseover event in your button and set the cursor style for button through java script

    > include this function between your script tag
    var e = document.getElementById('select');
    e.style.cursor ="hand";
    call this function in your button onmouseover event

  • Need to detect when the cursor is outside of the stage

    I need to detect when the cursor is outside of the stage. I
    have tried hitTest() but this doesn't seem to work. Someone must
    have a good solution to this one.

    What about putting either a thin invisible border just inside
    of the frame,
    or it might take 4 separate lines around the border and
    detect if they
    rollover that. Or check if the mouse x is less than 0,
    greater than the
    width, or the same for the top and bottom?
    I might have to code something like this myself in the next
    few days which
    is why it caught my attention.

  • I NEED a larger cursor & TOOLTIPS because I am visually impaired. In use, the text is always covered by the cursor and as such is unreadable and therefore u s

    Most comfortable AND practical cursor size for me seems to be midway between MAX and MIN. I like a minimum of 12 point text (14 is better) but some text is provided as an image in small type (useless) and many times editors allow 10 or even 8 point text. I don't want or need high contrast, I will not use flashing text, It would be nice to receive consideration and have this nightmare solved.
    Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me.

    For Windows users I may suggest tools and advice from the following site, and It may also be possible to get advice relating to Mac over there.
    * http://www.accessfirefox.org/
    I know in Windows cursor size and features can be modified from the Windows control panel. It may be worth trying to ask on Mac sites to see it thy can help you.
    Regarding modifying text of the browsers webpage content possibly the addon no squint would help you. Or for even higher customisation consider grease monkey scripts

    * https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/greasemonkey/
    ** https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greasemonkey
    I do not know if there may already be a suitable add-on for modifying the cursor to meet your requirements you could wade through this listing

  • Need help for focusing the cursor from one textbox to another textbox

    hii all,
    I have a problem in java script.
    Note:The textboxes are generated dynamically.it is not having fixed length.(the number of textboxes generated may be 3,2,4....etc.it is not fixed.
    To move cursor from one textbox to another text box ,I have taken the length of the textboxes of the first column.I used onkeyDown event .
    in the function ,first i checked the condition like
    for(i=0;i<form1.box.length;i++) //box is the name of the textboxes
    if(event.keyCode==13)
    form1.box[i+1].focus();
    return false;
    by using this the cursor is moving from first text box to second textbox and stops.
    if i use event.returnValue=false; instead of return false ,then the cursor automatically going to the laxt textbox of the column.
    my problem is how i can focus the cursor from one textbox to another textbox one after the other till the end.
    if any one has solution please help me.
    also if we can do in another way also,please help me.
    thanx.>
