Doc to PDF conversion failed for Acrobat 9 on IIS7/win 2008 system

I wanted to convert a doc to PDF. But getting error when PDF distiller initialized.
Error : 006~ASP 0177~Server.CreateObject Failed~80080005
at statement : Set Obj = server.CreateObject("PdfDistiller.PdfDistiller.1")
This is done is classic ASP.
This works perfectly fine on IIS6/win 2003 with Acrobat 5 . but getting error on production server where IIS7/win 2008,Acrobat 9 is installed.
I have added all the necessary permissions.
What could be the problem?
Any help would be appriciated.

But the same thing is working fine for Acrobat distiller 5 on IIS 6 and Win 2003.
With Acrobat 5,printer installed is called Acrobat Distiller and with Acrobat 9, printer installed is called Adobe PDF. This should not affect the distiller functionality/execution I think.
Manual Doc to PDF conversion works, means if document is passed to Adobe PDf it converts the doc to PDF.
Somehow automation is not working failing at statement
Set oDistiller = CreateObject("PDFDistiller.PDFDistiller.1")
Could there be case that Acrobat 9 doesn't support automation or need license or so?

Whether it's maxed or not doesn't make any difference.
The bottom part of the image/scroll bar is always under the Windows taskbar any time the URL is opened.
It is always fixed by doing something, either switching to and back from another window, or turning on and off one or more toolbars.
That shouldn't be necessary. The bottom part should be visible when the URL is opened.

Acrobat Pro XI V11.0.2 - Word 2010 to PDF conversion fails to generate header text

Hello,
Following the recent update to V11.0.2, the Acrobat PDF converter for Word 2010 fails to generate the output document correctly. It misses out the text box part of the Word header.
However, using Acrobat XI via the "Print to PDF printer" appears to generate the output file correctly.
System is Windows XP-SP3 with Office 2010 (and all current updates), plus Acrobat Pro V11.0.2
Example Word source and resulting PDF are available, if anyone can figure out how to use this web interface to post examples.

No, there is no change in behaviour on my Windows XP machines, nor would I expect there to be given that there has been no change until V11.0.3 was released.
Given that you’ve reproduced the problem, albeit on a different machine, it seems reasonable to assume that the problem is related to Acrobat. If you can reproduce the behaviour, then you should be able to fix it.
The problem still exists with V11.0.3. I look forward to it being resolved shortly.

Add User for Native PDF Conversion fails on Windows 2008 for WebSphere

I'm installing LiveCycle ES3 Generator on Windows 2008 R2 server with WebSphere 8. When I try to add users for the Native PDF conversion as part of the generator configuration I get an error. I've included the installer log error and some of the related WebSphere logs below. Anyone have any sugestions?

I today finished installing on W2R2+WebSphere 8 LC ES4 with a similar error on XMLForm.exe. This link worked for me and my error was similar.

How do I Install a PDF Printer Manually for Acrobat 6.0 Pro

My PDF Printer disappeared from my printer list. How can I manually re-install it? I tried following the directions given to another user for Acrobat 10.0 in this forum but was not successful with my 6.0 version. Can anyone help please? I really need my PDF Printer.

A repair can be done from the Help>Repair menu (at least I think that AA6 can do that). Sometimes the repair can be done from the Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel, but you may need the CD in this case. You might also try just updating AA6 (now at 6.0.6) either from the help menu or by downloading the updates from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=10&platform=Windows (similar for MAC). For the downloads, be sure to install them in order and probably disable antivirus during the updates. You generally do not have to reboot until you have completed all of the updates.

downloaded CS2 from adobe website, installed successfully, can read pdf file, but cannot save words or excel doc to pdf, please help!

There is no chance that Acrobat 7's PDF printer can work in 64-bit systems. This PDF printer is used in converting Word and Excel documents to PDF.
So it is time to upgrade Acrobat along with upgrading Windows.

However, currently those documents are all in Word .doc format only and the customer does not want to consider converting those into other formats like RTF.
Does BI Publisher provide library for converting .doc format directly into PDF? If not, does anyone know a Java library on the market that can best do the job?

How to avoid record rejection due to conversion failed for dirty data

There is a source delimited flat file created with codepage CP936, simplified
Chinese. Data Services XI on HP Unix has to extract this file to a UTF-8 db2
table.
However, because the flat file contains a lot of dirty or corrupted
characters for Chinese word columns, some records are failed to convert and being
rejected by DS to load to db2. Typically the error is the corrupted character
causes DS to think there is less delimiters on the record then it should be.
I use less perfect workaround to cheat DS to tell it is UTF8 codepage input file
instead of CP936 codepage file, and DS doesn't complain missing delimiters no more, but the
extracted Chinese columns are not readable.
However, problem resurfaces again when DS encounters this gibberish data value in
one column of the record:
u20AC\ \u2021 u20ACxu2019 u20AC
The record will be rejected entirely and no error and no warning being generated
by DS to explain the rejection. Even I try to use Text delimiter of double qoute to enclose
this data value, but DS still unable to extract it and rejects the whole record without warning.
Is there a way to use Validation Transform or other transforms to catch all the conversion
errors before hand, and assign null value for dirty data values, rather then
letting the records being rejected?
Or there is a way to set the options and relax the conversion errors to let
all data records successfully extracted? Currently at Error handling section
of flat file format object, all error handling and logging options are
selected Yes.

escape character and set the whole value to null to avoid data rejection.

I agree with what you said if record is broken up too much, DS has no choice but to skip it.

Excel to PDF conversion fails to preserve freeze-frame heading functionality

Using Excel ver 13.3.4 on MAC OS 10.6.8 and Acrobat Pro 10.1.3.
I want to convert a 2-page Excel spreadsheet to a PDF.
The spreadsheet has a repeating header row, which has "Freeze-Frame" applied so that you can see the header when you scroll to the next screenload. But when I open the PDF, the Freeze-Frame doesn't work. I can't find any posts about this problem. Can anyone help me out?

Upgraded to FF 4.0 and now I cannot download monthly statements (PDF) from Wellsfargo. Had no problem under the last 3.x version. With other sites I have no problems getting PDF docs. Interestingly, I can get the PDF docs from Wellsfargo via Internet Explorer. Running Acrobat reader 9.1.0 on an XPSP2 system
Any ideas?

I don't think Acrobat 7 can recognize Office 2007 files; Acrobat 7 was released way before Office 2007.

Updater fails for Acrobat 9.1.3

For the past week, I have been getting a message when Acrobat 9.1.2 tries to upgrade to 9.1.3 - The installation process has encountered a problem. Please choose from the following options: run again, stop and continue later, cancel. Nothing seems to work to get it to install, and nothing clears the error. Is there a proper sequence of events to get this taken care of so that the updater can run through successfully? Thanks.

I was also having this issue. I ended up removing Reader (and other Adobe stuff) via "Windows Install Clean Up" (download from microsoft.com) I restarted the computer, downloaded Reader and then updated. It worked!
I did not have to turn off my Anti-virus program and I was logged in as the main user.

Update failed for Acrobat X Pro - Error 1321

I'm unable to update and receiving the error message:
Error 1321. The Installer has insurfficient priveleges to modifiy the file C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acro install files\program files\Adobe\Acrobat 10.0\Resource\Font\CourierStd-Bold.otf
Can anyone help with this.

This worked for me.
1) Uninstall adobe acrobat pro x
2.) Restart
3.) Rename c:\program files\adobe\acrobat 10.0 c:\program files\adobe\oldactobat 10.0
4.) reinstall adobe acrobat pro x and update.

It depends on the OS you are working. Navigator files (Portfolio templates) usually go in the following locations:
Windows
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 11.0\Acrobat\Navigators
Mac
