Dock Apps don't show if opened or closed

My applications in the Dock don't have the little triangle to indicate if there open. Anyone else

Look more closely, there is now a small blue light beneath running apps. Threw me off at first too.

I thought I resolved it, but the problem came back! And this time, re-starting Muse didn't help.
I was creating a vertical line to separate the sidebar from the main area, and when I extended the line down to where the footer guide is, the page started to expand and the navigation bar at the top started growing, while the links disappeared again. Now all links from the master page are again missing from every page but the master.
When I undid it, the navbar went back to its normal depth, but the text links in it did not return.
Any thoughts on how to fix this?
Also, it really wasn't my intention for the navigation bar to grow vertically as the page grows. Is there a way to prevent that?

Apps don't show on Dock when open in Snow Leopard

I just noticed this today. I'm not sure if it just started or if it has been happening since I upgraded from Leopard to Snow Leopard. Anyway, I have noticed two things about the new dock. 1st, when I have an application open that is on my dock, there is no longer a light underneath it that indicates it is open. 2nd, when I open an app that is not on the dock, the icon is not showing up on the dock. Is this happening to anyone else? Any suggestions on how to fix?

I've had the same problem; its a minor irritant. I've trashed the preferences but the behavior continues. I find that some apps, Stickies for example, don't appear on the dock the first time you use them. However, if you restart the system, the next time you use the app it appears in the doc and behaves properly.

Open apps do not show as open in dock...

... command tab only shows Finder. I can navigate to the other 9 apps that are open with the mouse. Strange. I have repaired permissions, activity monitor shows nothing out of the ordinary.

Open System Preferences/Keyboard&Mouse/Keyboard Shortcuts. Click; Restore Defaults. Quit System Preferences and reboot.
See if that helps...
If not, try deleting this file: com.apple.finder.plist /Users/YourName/Library/Preferences. Drag that file from the Preferences folder to the Trash, empty the Trash and reboot.

My opened apps don't show a bar on the top of the screen when I move my mouse there.

When I open an app, for example Reading List or Camera, and move my mouse to the top of the screen, no title bar appears (with an 'X' on the right to close the program, if clicked). Can I fix this?

Links from Mail and other apps don't go to open copy of Firefox but attempt to open a second copy, so I get "A copy of Firefox is already open," FF 22, OS10.8.4

Links from within Firefox windows open new tab, but links within Mail, MSWord, and other apps attempt to open another copy of Firefox, and I get the "Close Firefox: A copy of Firefox is already open. Only one copy of Firefox can be open at a time." This just started happening less than a week ago. I don't know when FF updated to version 22.0.

My problem seems to be fixed--I cannot reproduce it now, though it had been consistently happening for the past 3-4 days. The suggestions above do not seem to apply in any case: I do not want to open another instance of Firefox but simply to connect with the one that is already running; and I do not seem to have a .parentlock file.
If the problem returns, I'll be back. Meanwhile, thanks for the suggestions.

Download error apps don't show up

after installing creative cloud, list of apps dont show up. it only says download error click try again or contact costumer service. I tried to everything but still it says download error.

And it could be necessary to use you have "Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool". Here an advice for that (The order varies depending on your individual needs. Please read all my proposals first, so you can better choose the first step:)
1. Maybe you have to activate/deactivate, so please have a look there:

2. Sometimes, we know in the meantime, the "opm.db file" is the culprit. In this case you should delete it.
3. Did you already try "uninstalling and re-installing"? Be careful with (de)installing aso. by (de)installing by your own resources. As much as I regret it and as strange as it may seem I fear it's a challenge for Adobe's Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. Sometimes - for whatever reasons - CC doesn't "want" to work. In this case you should CC completely delete and reinstall by help of Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. (A try to uninstall by own resources is not enough!)

Allowed Apps don't show in Simple Finder

Ok, because of the nature of this problem I didn't know exactly where to post this, so hopefully this is a good place...
I work at a High School where we've got about 30 or so student laptops available for teachers to check out to use in their classes. They are all iBook, iBook G4, PowerBook G4, and MacBook computers, and all running OSX 10.4.11. The problem I'm having is with Microsoft Office X and Simple Finder. I have it installed on all of the computers, but for some reason the MacBooks won't show it in Simple Finder. It works just fine on all of the other computers, but the 6 that are MacBooks won't work. I set them up the same as all the others and nothing... I came up with the idea to try logging into a student account, running full finder and create aliases for Word, Powerpoint and Excel. I then returned to simple finder and they were all there and worked, but as soon as I logged out of the student account or restarted the computer the aliases were gone...
Hopefully that makes sense. It's really frustrating because other than this one problem the computers are all setup the exact same, so I don't know why the MacBooks can't just do it like the others do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I found a number of similar threads - it's apparently a bug.
I came up with the idea to try logging into a student account, running full finder and create aliases for Word, Powerpoint and Excel. I then returned to simple finder and they were all there and worked, but as soon as I logged out of the student account or restarted the computer the aliases were gone.
It sounds as if you are putting the aliases into
username/Library/Managed Items/My Applications/
That seems to be the right idea, with further workarounds designed to stop them from being deleted when you log out. One way, according to [this thread|http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=3183420&#3183420] is to lock the My Applications folder after putting in the aliases.
Another workaround described in [this thread|http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=5600449&#5600449] is to place the Office aliases somewhere else accessible, either in a subfolder of My Applications, or in the Documents or Shared folders.

Ipad Video App don´t show 2 lines subtitles

I´m using homesharing to stream the movies i have in my itunes computer. i have many video files in Full HD
The problem only happen in the Ipad Video App, works fine in the Iphone Video App
The problem only happen with video files that have height of 1920x816 (I test with files with resolution 1920x1280, 1920x800, 1920,812, 1920x814, 1920x816, 1918x816, 1920,820, 1792x1080, 1920x1040)

UPDATE to this CURRENT LOCATION on iPad / iPhone / Find My iPhone issue -
I have a iPad that kept showing my OLD adress in Orlando Fl on BOTH google maps and Apple Maps, even after I moved up north to South Carolina. I tried everything. I then tried my FIND MY iPHONE on my Macbook Pro and same thing. Annoying.
This evening I set up my BACK TO MY MAC so i could acess my Time Capsule from work. After I set it up, and just for grins, i renewed the DHCP Lease while doing this. After the Time Capsule rebooted, my iPad displayed the correct location immediately. My macbook pro was still showing the OLD location in my FIND MY iPHONE. Did a restart and BAM, its all good.
Not sure if it was the renew or restart of the Airport Extreme Time Capsule.

My undertanding is that when you double-click the home button, the apps that are shown are those that are currently active. The reason you are not seeing all of them is that not all of them are active. Before you can access an app in the multitask bar, it has to be turned on first. As a test, try accessing the Notes application. Return to the home screen by clicking the Home button ONCE. Once the home screen appears, double click the home button to bring up the multitasking bar. The Notes app should be on the far left.

Go through the troubleshooting steps in this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5372. In particular, make sure you have Safari turned on in Settings>iCloud on both devices, and that you haven't enabled private browsing on your iPad.

Payment done, still shows as open item

SAP experts,
Last week, the User did a payment run (F110), paid the due invoices and printed the checks. But then realized that the wrong printer was used so she reprinted the checks with correct printer info (she doesnt know how, but she did). Now when she is trying to do a new Payment run, finds those paid invoices as Open items in vendor balances.
Please help, its urgent.

Thanks for the response. But let me re-cap with the latest info I have after looking into the system.
1. User did the Payment run and printed the checks thru the wrong printer.
2. Realized the mistake and canceled those checks and re-printed them with new check numbers.
3. Now I find, those same Invoices as open items. There is no payment documents as open items to link them and clear.
4. The payment documents are sitting in the cleared items list with the canceled documents.
My question -- Can I re-set those cleared payment documents and the link it with the openinvoices and clear it again so that it reflects correct vendor balances?
Is it possible to re-print the checks using the same check no.s instead of new numbers?

Why are my apps that i downloaded from the app store not showing up on my phone?

i have download 3 apps from the app store on my iPhone4s. when they are finished downloading, it gives you the option to open it from the app store but it refuses to do so. when you check on the page of your phone apps, the apps don't show up.

Have you tried restarting your phone? You could also try a reset: Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout.

Paid apps do not show up on my iphone 3 after restore

after i restored my iphone 3g the paid apps don't show up on the screen
however, itunes and the app store say that they are downloaded
also, in the iphone setting it shows settings for beejive and facebook
they just seem to not show up, as if minimized:S

Restore them from the app store. When you do this it will tell you that you have already purchased this app and do you want to reinstall it. Just say yes.
