    How can we find out that one document type is assingned for how many areas..???

    Hello,
    Each docment type is assigned to one no range.
    From number range you can find out which doucumet type is used for which area.
    For e.g
    Document type DR is no range 18 and used for preparing Customer Invoice

  • PO Document Types when Adopting from PRs

    We are using 2 docment types for both PO's and Purchase Requisitions (NB and ZX). When using ME59N to automatically generate PO's from requisitions, the PO's get setup with the proper doc type based on the requisitions type (NB requisitions convert to an NB PO, and ZX requisitions conver to a ZX PO).
    However, when adopting a requisistion in ME21N, it always uses NB for the PO, no matter what the requisition has. Is there a way to get adopting a requisition to work like ME59N and set doc type on the PO based on the requisition's doc type?

    Std SAP is set defule doc type in the System is NB but if oyu want ZX  Doc type in ME21N then you have to create screen variant for this doc type and assign the transaction to do that
    Go To SHD0
    enter ME21N in Transaction code field
    and then enter e.g. ZME21N in Transaciton variant filed then hit create button
    it will take you to the PO create screen.
    here you enter all the value and and create the PO.
    every popup screen hit enter
    and which ever value you want to defulat to the transaction
    those values you have to check the check box of
    W.content and output only
    then save. it will ask you the object where you wan to save
    if you want to migrate to another system then use the real package other wise use $TMP for each screen (until the popup goes away)
    and save it
    Then go back to main SHD0 screen and hit goto button and select create variant transaciton and create the tcode for this variant which can be used by user

  • Change document type NB to ZNB

                 For feight charges,SD PO automatically created by system with docment type NB. During creating PO by system, we want to  maintain docmument type as 'ZNB' instead of 'NB'.

    Can budget checking mapped as per the PR docuemnt type . i checked in derivatio rule but docment type is available as per the fi document type.

    Extremely  sory what i explained above is ok along with i want to add some more point.
    Scenario 1 -:
    same type of material is being purchased, but as per budget point of view they have dived in to two way
    -> if material quantity/value is more than 100000 rupees than it is seperate budget.
    -> If material quantity/value is less than 100000 rupees than its budget is different.
    same material but budget differes as per the value.
    scenario 2 -;
    If material is below 10000 rupees but in this case purchase order document type is different.
    with the help of ABAP i got some solution i will prepare a table and i will maintain diferent commitment item as per the purchase order type, i also checked it is working fine.
    Scenario 3 -:
    My clients wants budget check will be available at quation level.

    I try to do incoming payment for SD invoice posted with document type - RV. when i used to do incoming payment by transc code: f-28. An ABAP dun error occurs, stating termination " message type-X".
    Is it possible to do incoming payment for SD invoice from FI. Urgent help needed.

    While you post the document through f-28, the document type shuld be changed to customer payment.

  • Invoice back-end document type?

    Hello,
    I need to create an invoice in SRM 5.0 . We are in classic scenario. I have created the invoice but "error in process".
    The customizing I have done is to link an internal number range for the BUS2205 Incoming Invoice transaction type INV Invoice. I do not have problems with VAT.
    My doubts are:
    Where I inform the ECC invoice document type in SRM? There is an attribute in PPOMA for that?
    Do I have to put an external number range for the ECC invoice? (Because I think that for invoice we can link only one number range however for the PO we can put one internal and other external)
    Could you please help me?

  • Order specific control over condition type

    Dear Gurus...
    There are two oder (sales docments)types  and two condition types, out of them one condition type has to be applicable for both order types and another condition type has to be applicable only for one order type how to configure....
    This is Project Manager interview question any idea please help to rescue...

    You do like this
    You define two pricing procedures
    In one procedure you put both condition types(For Ex ZZZ1).
    Iin second pricing pricedure you put onecondition type which is applicable to both the document types(For ex:ZZZ2).
    You define two different document pricing procedures to that order types.
    Document pricing procedure for Both conditions order Z1
    Document pricing procedure for single condition order Z2
    Assign that document pricing procedure to those sales document types.
    Now you do the two pricing procedure determinations differently based on the new document pricing procedures.
    Sales area+Z1-->ZZZ1
    Sales area+Z2-->ZZZ2
    Now you can get one condition type in both order types and another condition type only for one order type.

    Perfomance Techniques for improve the perfomance of the object.
    1) ABAP/4 programs can take a very long time to execute, and can make other processes have to wait before executing. Here are some tips to speed up your programs and reduce the load your programs put on the system:
    2) Use the GET RUN TIME command to help evaluate performance. It's hard to know whether that optimization technique REALLY helps unless you test it out.
    3) Using this tool can help you know what is effective, under what kinds of conditions. The GET RUN TIME has problems under multiple CPUs, so you should use it to test small pieces of your program, rather than the whole program.
    4) Generally, try to reduce I/O first, then memory, then CPU activity. I/O operations that read/write to hard disk are always the most expensive operations. Memory, if not controlled, may have to be written to swap space on the hard disk, which therefore increases your I/O read/writes to disk. CPU activity can be reduced by careful program design, and by using commands such as SUM (SQL) and COLLECT (ABAP/4).
    5) Avoid 'SELECT *', especially in tables that have a lot of fields. Use SELECT A B C INTO instead, so that fields are only read if they are used. This can make a very big difference.
    6) Field-groups can be useful for multi-level sorting and displaying. However, they write their data to the system's paging space, rather than to memory (internal tables use memory). For this reason, field-groups are only appropriate for processing large lists (e.g. over 50,000 records). If you have large lists, you should work with the systems administrator to decide the maximum amount of RAM your program should use, and from that, calculate how much space your lists will use. Then you can decide whether to write the data to memory or swap space.
    Use as many table keys as possible in the WHERE part of your select statements.
    7)Whenever possible, design the program to access a relatively constant number of records (for instance, if you only access the transactions for one month, then there probably will be a reasonable range, like 1200-1800, for the number of transactions inputted within that month). Then use a SELECT A B C INTO TABLE ITAB statement.
    8) Get a good idea of how many records you will be accessing. Log into your productive system, and use SE80 -> Dictionary Objects (press Edit), enter the table name you want to see, and press Display. Go To Utilities -> Table Contents to query the table contents and see the number of records. This is extremely useful in optimizing a program's memory allocation.
    9) Try to make the user interface such that the program gradually unfolds more information to the user, rather than giving a huge list of information all at once to the user.
    10) Declare your internal tables using OCCURS NUM_RECS, where NUM_RECS is the number of records you expect to be accessing. If the number of records exceeds NUM_RECS, the data will be kept in swap space (not memory).
    11) Use SELECT A B C INTO TABLE ITAB whenever possible. This will read all of the records into the itab in one operation, rather than repeated operations that result from a SELECT A B C INTO ITAB... ENDSELECT statement. Make sure that ITAB is declared with OCCURS NUM_RECS, where NUM_RECS is the number of records you expect to access.
    12) If the number of records you are reading is constantly growing, you may be able to break it into chunks of relatively constant size. For instance, if you have to read all records from 1991 to present, you can break it into quarters, and read all records one quarter at a time. This will reduce I/O operations. Test extensively with GET RUN TIME when using this method.
    13) Know how to use the 'collect' command. It can be very efficient.
    14) Use the SELECT SINGLE command whenever possible.
    15) Many tables contain totals fields (such as monthly expense totals). Use these avoid wasting resources by calculating a total that has already been calculated and stored.
    Some tips:
    1) Use joins where possible as redundant data is not fetched.
    2) Use select single where ever possible.
    3) Calling methods of a global class is faster than calling function modules.
    4) Use constants instead of literals
    5) Use WHILE instead of a DO-EXIT-ENDDO.
    6) Unnecessary MOVEs should be avoided by using the explicit work area operations

    Can anyone brief me about events which appears in an ALV report.
    I want the events only for Alv report not for any report program.

    <b>ALV is Application List viewer.</b>
    Sap provides a set of ALV (ABAP LIST VIEWER) function modules which can be put into use to embellish the output of a report. This set of ALV functions is used to enhance the readability and functionality of any report output. Cases arise in sap when the output of a report contains columns extending more than 255 characters in length.
    In such cases, this set of ALV functions can help choose selected columns and arrange the different columns from a report output and also save different variants for report display. This is a very efficient tool for dynamically sorting and arranging the columns from a report output.
    The report output can contain up to 90 columns in the display with the wide array of display options.
    The commonly used ALV functions used for this purpose are;

    2. REUSE_ALV_VARIANT_F4
    3. REUSE_ALV_VARIANT_EXISTENCE
