Document Types Assignment

Hi,
How can we change the docment type assignment to some of the transactions? For eg, vendor invoice, vendor payment and vendor clearing.

You can do the same in FB00, where you can make the document type ready for input.

  • How to flip the FI document type assigned in sales billing type

    Hi Expart,
    We have a special requirement here,as per client requirement we need to flip the FI document type assigned in sales billing type screen (VOFA). The requirement has came because the billing type is used for one company code XXXX, and we need to use the same billing type with different FI document type  for another company code YYYY. Since we can't assigned two FI document types in biling document, i belive this can be done only through user exit, pl help me to get the applicable user exit in SD.

    The user exit (T.Code SMOD) u201CEXIT_SAPLV60B_001u201D, with include u2018ZXVVFU01u2019, will be  implemented. In user exit code will be written, as if company code found as u2018YYYYu2019 and Sales Doc type found as 'AAA' the FI document determine as u2018Z2u2019 in place of default value coming from one-to-one mapping u2018Z1u2019 (FI Document).
    IF VBRK-FKART EQ 'AAA' AND VBRK-BUKRS EQ 'YYYY' AND XACCIT-BLART EQ 'Z1'.
    XACCIT-BLART = 'Z2'.

    Spro-Materials Management-Consumption-Based Planning-Planning-Procurement proposals-Define External Procurement-MRP Group-Under Doc Type SPO you can maintain your default doc types in front of your plant.
    Now run MRP.
    It will work.

    In SAP, the number range intervals are created for various types of transactions in different work areas and
    each of these intervals are created and updated in different data base tables.  As I have mentioned earlier,
    either you can search through various number range objects in SNUM or in IMG screen if you click the
    binocular icon or use  ctrl+f and enter search term as number range, you will find all the work areas
    where number range intervals are required to be created for different type of transactions.  You cannot
    narrow it down to a single T.code to find the number ranges of different objects excepting SNRO.

    I have the following problem.
    These are my sales areas which have been created into SAP as follow:
    ZV     Dep. Vanz TCPS     99     Distrib. channel 99     ZA     Retail
    ZV     Dep. Vanz TCPS     99     Distrib. channel 99     ZB     Wholesale
    ZV     Dep. Vanz TCPS     99     Distrib. channel 99     ZC     Key Accounts
    I managed to assign the following list of documents to the first one:
    ZV     Dep. Vanz TCPS     99     Distrib. channel 99     ZA     Retail
    IN     Inquiry
    QT     Quotation
    CS     Cash Sale
    FD     Deliv.Free of Charge
    DR     Debit Memo Request
    DS     Scheduling Agreement
    QP     Rental Contract
    RE     Returns
    RO     Rush Order
    OR     Standard Order
    SC     Service and Maint.
    Now, when I want to do the same for the 2 last Sales Area the system asks me to create them?????
    What is wrong?

    Your basic understanding is different from what SAP offers.
    You have to create common sales area. For that you have to link your sales org to a common sales area first, d.c to a common d.c and division to a common div.
    Then create a common sales area of the combination of common sales org/common d.c./common div
    Now in OVAZ, yo only have to link ur doc types to the common sales area. This will enable you to use this doc types for all sales areas which are indirectly assigned to the common sales area.

  • Assignment of billing document type with accounting document type

    I need one information regarding SD Billing Document type assignment with accounting document types.
       Here CRM people asking me where we can see if the Billing doc type is BV( Cash Sale)  accounting document should be RV
    Just go to T.Code VOFA for Billing document types. Based on this only system generate the Accouning documents RV, AB so onu2026u2026.
    But how it is determining this accouning document type they want to know.
    Pls advice

    In VOFA where it says Document type enter the FI doc type they want to post to. Otherwise it defaults to RV.

    How to assign Document type to Plant. When I checked with our SD consultant he told Document type is independently configured and it's assigned to sales organization and not plant. Just want to check whether any report/view available to see the list of Sales document type assigned to a particular plant/sales organization.

    we cant assign sales document type to plant.  we  assign sales document type to sales orgn. just bcoz of simple reason that we create sales order with the data of sales area , sales office ,sales grp and not plant. bcoz we assign plant to material master data ,as we  need sales area for the sales doc type , for material also we need plant. bcoz material is stored at plant and storage location level.for that purpose only we create a material with plant,storage location , sales orgn, dist channel.

  • Customs document type cannot be determined for external document Type F8

    Hello Experts
    Need help
    I am trying to transfer F8 to GTS 10.1 and getting following message in GTS  Transfer log for export:
    Customs document type cannot be determined for external document Type F8
    New implementation
    GTS 10.1 running with SP 12
    ECC side Plug-In settings are fine. BAdi is Active.(There is no document mapping for F8/CUSDEC as it is not required in 10.1)
    GTS side configurations are also fine. Checked several times by 4 sets of eyes!!
    (Include general settings configurations, Customs communication configurations:)
    (Defining technical medium, conditions/output parameters, defining messages for communication process,
    defining determination for activity sequence and control settings for communication process)
    Despite this I am not able to trnasfer F8 successfully
    Can someone throw some light on this issue please?

    You asked me to check the following
    Please check following things
    1) Legal regulation is activated. - Yes Activated
    2) Process template assigned to the legal regulation - Yes Assigned
    3) Activity Sequence determination - Yes done
    4) Open the activity sequence in under Control settings for Communication processes and check if there is a document type assigned to it. Table- /SAPSLL/TLEPAF - Yes done.
    It is really puzzling.

    Can someone give me a clear and detailed understanding of how to maintain transaction types in SRM system and document types in the backend system based on various scenarios (i.e standalone,classic. extended.....)
    Is it mandatory that the document type assigned in org plan attribute BSA be maintained in the local system as well??

    In fact META BAPI are only BAPIs, with a certain way of developping: What SAP calls "Abstraction Layer".
    This allow you to manage Partner system version differences, and backend unavailability, the process is:
    ->META_BAPI
    -First try synchronously
    -->Read table BBP_FUNCTION_MAP (and now get into BADI) to get the exact function module to be called depending on the partner system type and its version
    --->Call of this function (which either makes local actions, or call the backend system with RFC)
    If the system was unable to call the partner system , it creates a job to re-try the call (based on what you entered in customizing).
    Here is the SAP description:
    <i>- Depending on the release level used, you can use various Business Application Programming Interfaces (BAPIs) to implement the business processes in the back end system. The abstraction layer encapsulates the BAPI calls in the back end system that are necessary to generate the back end documents from requirement coverage requests. The abstraction layer accesses the following sources of information:
    -Dispatcher: This function module analyzes the Customizing settings and then knows:
    --     Which driver it must call
    --     Which back end system it is communicating with
    --     The back end system release

    Hello,
    you vcan assign sales area to the document type.
    Please go into the customizing the following menu path:
    > PRO
    > Sales and Distribution
    > Sales Document
    > Sales Document Header
    > Assign Sales Area To Sales Document Types
    Assign Sales Area To Sales Document Types
    In this menu option, you allocate the allowed order types to each sales area group.
    You do not need to make any entries at all if all the sales order types are allowed for each of your sales areas.
    If you wish to check allowed sales document types, you must set up common sales areas. This means you must define common sales organizations, common distribution channels and common divisions. If, for example, you have define common divisions, then you must also define common distribution channels and sales organizations.
    Example 1 (simplest case):
    Only the sales document type "standard order" (OR) should be allowed for a specific sales area <0001/01/01> (that means: sales organization 0001, distribution channel 01, division 01). The following activities are required for this:
    1.1) Activity "group together sales organizations":
         Sales org.  Ref.sales org.
         0001        0001
    1.2) Activity "group together distribution channel":
         Sales org.  Distr.ch.  Distr.ch.  Doc.type
         0001        01         01
    1.3) Activity "group together divisions":
         Sales org.  Division  Division Doc.type
         0001        01        01
    1.4) Activity "assign allowed order types to sales areas":
         Ref.sales  Distr.ch.  Division Sales doc.type
         0001       01         01       OR
    Example 2:
    The above settings should also be used for the sales area

    Are you using periodic OR milestone billing plan in your project ?
    If NO , then
    Please keep the field  'billing Plan Type'  blank in sales order.
    If YES , then
    Please complete the configuration specified in the path as given below :
    SPRO --> IMG --> SD --> Billing -->Billing Plan
    Define Billing Plan Types
    Define Date Descriptions
    Define And Assign Date Categories
    Maintain Date Proposals For Billing Plan Types
    Assign Billing Plan Types To Sales Document Types
    Assign Billing Plan Types To Item Categories
    Define Rules For Determining Dates

    They just noticed that AB documents are showing whenever CCode d 505 payments are cleared. Can someone describe how and when an AB document type would be a payment document type vs normal like VP, KZ, VR?

    For your first query, Please check the document type assigned in OBXH. The document type defined here is used for generating the clearing document. If you want to change the document type here, you can do that.
    As for the use of a particular document type, it is again a process decision, which generally could vary from client to client. Generally for such transactions, SAP has defined document type AB.

  • SAP SD Material Determination not reflected in assigned sales document type

    Hi Experts,
    I have implemented customized material determination, with requirement to change the UoM of the entered material, from GJ to MJ. I have assigned the procedure to 3 document types:
    1. sales order type
    2. credit memo request
    3. debit memo request
    However, this setup is only reflected in the 1st sales document assigned with the procedure. It is not reflected in the credit or debit memo request.
    I have turned on the material determination analysis in sales order. Per my checking during credit memo request creation, the analysis indicated that the condition is found successfully. But the UoM did not change in the document.
    Please assist.

    But I am creating credit/debit memo request without reference to billing.
    When I create credit/debit memo request, the material determination is triggered.
    Per my test today for credit memo request, I found that the material determination is triggered.
    However, the substition UoM is not reflected in the credit memo request document.
    The result is reflected only in sales order.
    Please help.
