Docs with two .pdf tags
I have clients that update with Contribute and I monitor the servers to make sure things are OK. I have noticed lately a lot of documents that end in .pdf.pdf that are obviously links the contributer has uploaded. Why does this happen? Usually there is an identical document in the documents folder with just one .pdf The documents with the double tags are in the site docs area with the html docs.

I have a problem with two PDF's when trying to open them through a link on a web page. The two PDF's open fine with Adobe on my own PC and on the server I have copied it to but when they are opened through a link on a web page (pointing to the server where the PDFs open fine) I get an error 'There was an error processing a page. Invalid function resource' The other one just doesn't open at all. Can anyone help with this please?

One sales doc with two currencies

I need to create a export sales order but payment will be received by two persons(Payer).Both the payer have different currency maintained in CMR.

JyotiThe Document Currency Does not come from the Payer customer master. It comes from the Sold to party Customer master. How ever you can change it manually. But this currency is applicable to the entire document.
Since the Order has two different payers. You SPlit the line item into two items, each with different payer and send two different invoices.
Do the necessary currency conversion in the smartform layout and send the invoice according to the payer currency..
if there is any difference in the amounts in the document currency vs Payer (AR) currency, that is managed by Accounts in a special G/L . -
How to get Acrobat Pro to save docs with the pdf icon in Finder
At the moment when I save docs as pdfs the icon is just a grey rectangle. I would prefer the red and white pdf icon which is easier to see etc.
click on the File or files in what ever folder you have to select. To choose multiple files hold down ⌘key - and click on each. To select
On one file just hold down ⌘ - type I key (Get Info)
Click on Open with
Click on button just under the word Open With: and selecet desire application in case of of a PDF would be Acrobat or Reader.
Below that choose Change All
You will be asked whether to "Open all files of this type with <whatever application you choose>"
Close get info and all PDF will show the crobat or Reader Icon. -
Create XML docs with hierarchy of tags and attr defined in databaste tables
Hi,
My problem is a little unique one. I want the ability to define the structure of the XML document (i.e. the hierarchy of element tags and attribute names) in the database tables. The values of tags and attributes will also be populated at runtime in tables.
Then write some generic API that reads the structure of the XML document through the database tables and spits out an XML document based on this structure and values stored in the tables.
So, basically, I want the tag names and values both to be values in the database rather than the tag names being the columns in database tables.
With this I should be able to have one procedure/function that can serve the purpose of creating XML documents with different structures by just specifying that structure in the form of database tables.
Almost all the Oracle XML utilities I read about, create XML docs based on a SQL query with tag names being columns in the database tables. Any help will be highly appreciated.

I am having an issue where when I insert a Content Query webpart into a page, and filter to managed metadata, all the right documents show up except one document that happens to have two metadata tags attached to it. The content query webpart is set
to only look through a specific document library. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong.

As I understand, you did not get the results with multiple metadata tags through Content Query web part in SharePoint 2013.
Check things below:
1. Check if you have set the item limit more than the display items in Presentation section of the web part. If the item number more than item limit, the rest items will not show.
2. Check if the item you cannot find uses the content type you have set in the content type section of content query web part.
When you edit the properties of the item, you will see the content type the item is using.

Problems with saving pdf as a word doc

recently upgraded to acrobt x pro, and i went to convert a one-page pdf into a word doc. i went to "file,"
"save as," "word document, and when i went to view
the word doc, the format/layout/font, etc. was completely garbled. what could i be doing wrong? thanks!Your problem is likely with the PDF not having the tags that provide the format information you are expecting. Such information is not needed for the PDF, but is used for the conversion back to WORD. You could try converting a file from DOC to PDF and back to DOC with both a print to the Adobe PDF printer and PDF Maker to get the format info. See how they compare and you should get the idea.

Hari.1) The option of creating the whole thing as a LiveCycle form means that you need to convert the Word document using LiveCycle Designer. The import utility won't preserve the fidelity of the Word document the way printing to the PDF print driver does. It will likely require a fair bit of tweaking in Designer to get it looking like you want. You will likely get frustrated, since Designer is not a word processor.
2) You can create PDF forms in Acrobat without launching LiveCycle Designer. While they look the same to a user as forms created with LiveCycle Designer, behind the scenes they are very different. When you create a form in Acrobat you overlay fields on top of an existing PDF document that you had previously created using the PDF print driver. There is an extensive scripting model for these "Acroforms". The technology pre-dates LiveCycle yet Adobe continues to improve the two forms models in parallel. In Acrobat, open a PDF and select tools-->forms-->show forms toolbar.
3) I recommend this option if it's feasible. I don't know what you mean by "doesn't show up in a flow". If you're going to use the form in Acrobat 7, then save it as Acrobat 7 compatible in LiveCycle Designer. This is one of the options in the Save As dialog of LiveCycle Designer.

I cannot send a Pages document, Word via email if the doc contains a picture. If I email a Pages doc without a pic in Word format or pdf with a pic it with go through to sender? Not sure why Pages won't send Word doc with a picture in it. I check the security on the email recipient and the email doesn't get blocked or throw in the junk box?

drainguy41If you have upgraded to Mountain Lion, Save As… has returned to the File menu when you hold down the Option/alt key. But you don't really "save" as other file types, you translate & export as Word or RTF or text or PDF & that is easily done by going to File > Export or Share > Export.
Also, please do us all a favor & don't use all capitals in your posts, either the body of the post or the title. All caps is the internet equivalent of shouting & is very hard to read. -
I get a weekly email with a PDF attachment and when I open it it's to large to print and I know of no way to shrink or resize the doc. It's created in M/S excel. Can anymore assist....TX

Need to setup a set of word documents, converted to PDF that has links from one file to a second file at a given page.
I would like to setup a set of pdf documents, on the hard disk of a PC or Mac, that can be open with acrobat pro running on the same computer and have the link jump to, and open in a new window, in acrobat pro, to a given page of a second document in the set.
Is there a way to setup a link in word and the conversion to pdf that will result in a link that is equivalent to the acrobat link type you get when you add a link of the type Go to a page in another document?
Tools-Advanced Editing-Link tool, make a box
Check: Go to page view, Next (Create go to view dialog opens)
Open second document and go to page
Click “Create go to view dialog” to set up link
Result is a link, when view by link properties, with an action of

I got close but did not solve the problem:
I have a version that uses links to a website, using #page=43 at the end of the hyperlink.
That works but will only open to the page if is through the web browser, opening the acrobat reader plugin.
I need to open from a folder on the local harddisk (with relative links), in acrobat pro to the given page of the pdf, on a PC or a Mac.
I could bookmark each page “pagenumberxxx” and jump to the bookmark/page if that would get around some problem
Current Systems in use to create documents with links and view them:
Windows XP SP3
Word 2003 SP3
Acrobat 9 pro version 9.4.4
Or just to view them:
Mac OS 10 Lion version 10.7.4
Acrobat 9 pro version 9.5.1
(note I have limited understanding of Mac’s)
JohnNo. There seems to be no automated way to do it. You can of course go into the PDF and manually add links after you have converted to PDF, but that is what we want to avoid having to do. We want it to be automatic from the Word doc.

They mentioned that we have to create form design (pdf) with same data model.. But When i tries to create form design by including the data model .. it is not allowing to me save as pdf and its telling that we have to save as xdp only. The problem might be in path of the resources. Please check the path for the pdf you includes at form guide.
Please check concat( ) operation .. make sure that it is correct and pointing as per your work bench.
And
At Configuring the REST endpoint for the PDF render service:, 6th point , please select as System level rather than INVOKE_PERM.

My hard drive died last week, and I needed to install a new one. Previously, I was able to save a .doc with text and inserted photo to .pdf and then to .jpg. Now I can get the .pdf but can't determine what to do to convert to .jpg. Does anyone know ?
Rather than do that, which means starting over from scratch, losing all your edits, organisation and so on, why not simply use iPhoto Library Manager to revert the Library to the older version? Easier, less destructive.

If you really want to start over: you can access the Originals folder simply by going to your Pictures Folder and finding the iPhoto Library there. Right (or Control-) Click on the icon and select 'Show Package Contents'. A finder window will open with the Library exposed. -
Can anyone help with this - do I have to uninstall Reader and then reinstall?
I have had a trial version of Acrobat X1 Pro - I have decided not to buy at this stage - for some time it has been conflicting with opening PDF docs after "saving as" from word 2007 - I uninstalled Pro X1 and now when I "save as" PDF from word 2007 to PDF it will save the document as a PDF but will not open the document to display after publishing - I have to got to where the file has been saved to view the new PDF document - this is really annoying - do I have to delete adobe reader and reinstall it - adobe needs to look at this conflict with acrobat pro as I have even gone it to properties and tried to have adobe reader as the default PDF program - the main issue is that I cannot view the PDF after publishing it from word 2007
