Document edits do not print

When I edit a .pdf document using standard tools (e.g., underline, highlight), they show up on the screen, but do not show when I print out the document.  What do I need to do?

In the Comments & Forms section of the Print dialog, select "Document and Markups" instead of "Document."

    Hi,
Looks like the printer is not on the network or the ip address may have changed
Please download and run the HP print scan doctor, it will identify and fix the issue...
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=Im-120773-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en...
or you may have to reconfigure the printer back to the network and install the printer drivers back on the computer...

  • For some reason I am no longer able to print website pages. The printer works for regular documents but its not printing Firefox website pages.

I don't know why it stopped printing documents that I want to print out such as airline confirmations or directions from a website etc., what are normal documents to print. It says "An unknown error occurred while printing"

hello ahegarty, you could try using the [https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/pdfjs/ PDF Viewer] addon, for more details also see [[PDF files are blank and can't be downloaded on Mac]].

  • Document edits not printing

    Afternoon All,
Supporting a user using Acrobat 9.0 (Standard / Professional etc. unknown but this can be found out) who has received a PDF as an attachment in an email. When she opens it, the edits that were made by a previous user to the document show in the document. When she goes to print it, the preview does not show the edits, and if she prints it out, the edits do not print. This is not the same for all the documents she receives, some are fine, and the edits show up in the preview and print out correctly). They are all created by the same user and therefore software. There are 3 other users who receive the same email (they are all cc'd on the same email) and they all have the same symptoms. It is believed they are all using the same version of Acrobat.
Can anybody put a suggestion forward as to why some would be OK, and others not?

It will remain in the PDF, but is not part of the document. That is why they have the selection of document and markup for printing. If you are sending the PDF to others, that leads ot a problem of telling the reader how to print the document and markup. The flatten is under the tools>print production as I recall (sorry, at the wrong computer to give the full answer).

  • Word 2007 not printing to manual tray

Word 2007 on a windows 7 64 bit machine does not use selected tray when printing previously saved documents, but he can print to the manual feed tray when creating and printing new documents.  User is printing to a
networked printer, which has been deleted and re-added to his system, print drivers looked at, and no one else has this issue with this printer on the server.  He has been able to select and print to the manual feed tray with these exact documents until
recently (last couple days or so?).  No windows updates have been installed recently.
Now he can only print to the manual feed tray in NEWLY created documents and not any previously created documents.  Re-opened documents only print to tray 3.  Settings are defaulted to "automatically select" in document and printer properties,
and that hasn't been changed recently either to cause the disruption in printing.  Even when changing the settings to paper source "manual feed in tray 1" on both the printer properties and in the document, it does not print to the manual feed
    tray.
What can I do to restore the function of printing to the manual feed tray without re-creating all his documents?

Try if this KB article resolves your issue:
The printer settings are ignored when you print a Word document

  • Combined PDF file does not print all pages????

I have roughly 20 seperate pdf files that I combine using "merge files into a singel pdf".  When printing these files that have 200 to 300 pages there are always pages within the last 1/3 of the full document that will not print.  I can see them on my screen but there are random pages that do not print?  Does anyone have any suggestions?

I found my solution. Go to:
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6590250
Old Toad, 4th reply down, listed how to install the old HP drivers. This I did and everything prints O.K. now.
Thanks to Old Toad and anyone else who sought a solution.
Confirms my contention: Why update what's working well?

    Hi steveflash,
I suspect your question would be better answered in the HP Enterprise Business Community,  as the HP LaserJet 2300 Printer series is a commercial model.
My technical expertise is with consumer products and software, I am sure the commercial folks would be happy to help if you re-post your question for them to answer. The HP Enterprise Business Community is an HP Forum designed for the Commercial and Enterprise customers to help one another. I am sure you will find some HP folks there to help too.
Click here to view the Printing and Digital Imaging.  When the page opens you will see the option to 'Log in' or 'Register Now' on the right. The commercial forums are separate from the consumer boards, thus you will need to register if you don't already have a commercial account.
You may find the HP LaserJet 2300 Printer series support page helpful while you wait for somebody in the commercial Forum to respond to your inquiry.
    Best of luck.

  • Editing Adobe PDF print documents

I am using Adobe Acrobat Professional 8.2.6 in Vista OS.
I normally print  documents into Adobe PDF and save it.  I want to copy some of the text from that document by selecting a sentence in the document.  However, I am not able to do it in the printed document. I am not able to make any undelines or any marks to the text or copy a sentence as I can do with other normal Adobe PDF documents.
I wonder anyone here knows how to make that PDF print documents editable, such as copy a sentence or make underline so on as we can do in the normal documents.
    Thanks for any help.

    Satyrias, try this-
Open the PDF document. Click on Tools Menu -> Advanced Editing -> Touch up Text Tool.
Select the Text. (It will show Loading Fonts... in the right bottom corner). Once done you can select the text and modify it.
However, if you only want to copy a text -> Use 'Select Tool' it looks like an 'i-beam' on toolbar. User it to select text and copy that.
If you want to apply styles:
Right click on the selected text and click on Properties.
Here you can change the color or apply stroke to make it bold.
But I'm afraid, you cannot underline the text here... Adobe recommends users to create the document outside Acrobat and when they are done with that they can finally convert to PDF. There is very limited options available when it comes to edit the documents. Only those that are majorly used.
If the document is a scanned pdf or its an image you can try the following: (However, using Acrobat 8, as its an older version, the chances are not as great as using Acrobat X)

  • How can I show only text edits and not text formatting when using print comments summary?

    Acrobat 9.3.0 for Mac.
Here is the scenario: I used the Compare command to see the changes between 2 PDFs. The resulting file some edits are inserts and some are deletions. I want to print a comments summary only showing the text edits. In the Compare Option pane, I select Text and deselect Images, Annotations, Formatting, Headers/Footers, and Backgrounds. Now on the screen I see inserts are highlighted in blue and deletions are marked with sort of a caret and vertical bar symbol. So all looks good at this point. However, when I show the Comments List, I see addtional comments that indicate "Replace - The following text attributes were changed: fill color." Those comments do not appear in the page view unless I check the Formatting check box to show them. With Formatting unchecked, I print a comments summary and all of the "Replace - Fill Color" comments" appear on the resulting comments summary.
I only want to show text edits, not text formatting changes. So questions are:
    1. Why, when the Formatting checkbox is unchecked, do the text formatting comments still appear in the comments list when they do not appear on the page display.
    2. How can I print only the text content edits and not show the text formatting changes when using Print Comments Summary.

    Hi,
You can set ExecuteWithParams as default activity in the task flow then method activity to return total no of rows passing to Router activity if your method has value 0 then call Create insert operation else do directly to page.
Following idea could be your task flow
Execute With param (default) > SetCurrentRowWithKey > GetTotalNoOfRows (VOImpl Method)
    |
    v
    Router
    1. If pageFlowScope outcome is 0 then call CreateInsert > MyPage
    2. if pageFlowScope outcome > 0 then MyPage
    hope it helps,

Mac desktop. 10.6.8. Text edit. Not locked. Read and write, not read only. Documents are locking when they are moved from desktop to another folder or saved directly into that folder on the server. Not happening with anyone else but me and the boss's computer so has to be in the properties for my text edit software. Techies can't figure it out after trying for two weeks. Boss can do a cut and paste and put into a new document, but that's starting to become a problem.
