Document type AB needs to be changed

Hello everybody,
I have a question regarding document type. The document type AB is made by default for the transaction like f-30, FB1D and many others. I have a request that for the transaction FB1D on specific accounts on clearing a down payment with the invoice the document type to be other than AB precisely AV. Does anyone now a method to do this?

I've been trying to change my Nat type from a 3 to a 2. I have a ps3 20gig (sadly) that is directly connected to my laptop (wired). My laptop has wifi and I'm able
to play games online. The only problem is that I'm not able to invite friends into my party or host any games for Call of Duty 4. My ps3 is set at Nat Type 3
and I think that's the problem here. I have a Linksys WRT54G router and UPnP is enabled on it. My laptop has UPnP enabled as well. I've tried everything I could
find, but there's not much info for someone who has a setup like me.
I setup a static ip for the ps3 on my laptop, and the only ip that will work is 192.168.0.10.

Your WRT54G is connected to another router (maybe your modem?) which has IP address 192.168.2.1. To get that working you have to configure port forwarding on 192.168.2.1 and on the WRT54G at 192.168.1.1. UPnP won't help you here because UPnP will only configure the WRT but not the router to which the WRT is connected to. Thus you have to set explicit port forwardings (don't know which ones the PS3 requires).
Otherwise consider setting up the WRT as access point only like this.
Or find out how to set the modem into bridge mode (i.e. turn off the router in the modem). After that you have to configure the router for your internet connection (usually PPPoE for DSL or DHCP for cable). This way you have the WRT54G directly connected to the internet.

SC based on item category po document type need to be choosen

Hi I have a require ment
Based on the SC item category or ........ etc    the PO document type must be choosen
ex: If SC item is   LIMIT item then when ur creating the po The PO document type must be zlimit PO ...some thing like
same way for service   --- PO doc tyep may be Zsercie PO
and same way for catalouge - PO doc type may be Z cat PO
please guide me how to do this
Basaed on the SC item the PO doc type need to be automaticlly choosen.

'Propagation of Properties' report changes unintended document types

Hi All,
could someone explain how the 'Propagation of Properties' works?
I tested it for changing the custom property change. I have 4-5 different resource types with each property structure.
My intention is to change a particular property value. So,
I created a document of that resource type and assigned the value for it.
I selected the target folder(which also has other document types and doesnt contain this property) and give the property to propogate.
then in the result summary, i could see along with the relavent document type, all other document type and folders meta data also changed. However i couldnt see those changes in the corresponding object details.
I am really confused on how this is working.
1. Does it changes other document types by adding this property as a new property?
2. How can i see this new property value in the document type where the property is not maintained itself?
3. how to avoid this ? in preventing other document types and folders to get changed.
Please kindly clarify the questions. this would be very helpful in understanding.

             yes it impacts all the document types... including the folders
2. How can i see this new property value in the document type where the property is not maintained itself?
              if the added property is not part of property group. you wont able to see that.however the meta data would have updated with new property.
3. how to avoid this ? in preventing other document types and folders to get changed.
             Need to develop a custom report for the mass update of properties...

Change Document type

When we run Balance sheet adjustment(F.5D), Automatic clearing (F.13), G/R I/R clearing(F.19) system creates entry with document type "SA" .We want to change that document type , please confirm can we change that or not?

Double Click on UMBUCHNG in the transaction code OBXH, there you can fill in the desired document types.

If you use another existing document type, check that it has a number range suitable to you. Else create a new 'z' type and assign an entirely new number range, not used in the other doc types.
It is useful to make the FI document number the same number. If I understand from the forums, the FI number range must be external. Search the forum for this. It is very useful for the Finance people.

Document Type PHP quite working

am using dreamweaver cs4 runing under window vista.
I have two websites that uses php/mySQL to interact with databases. Both were built with dreamweaver cs4 on this same computer. Both have been up and running for some time.
Today I needed to make some changes in one of them. I loaded a php file in dreamweaver and in the DataBases panel, instead of listing the databases that this page interacts with, it says...
To use dynamic data on this page:
   1. create a site for this file.
   2. choose a document type
   3. set up the site's testing server.
Also, the +,- symbols at the top of the panel are grayed out
There is only a check mark in front of #1, Create a site for this file, even though all have been done and all were working properly the last time I woked on this site.
When I click on choose a document type and select php, nothing changes.
If I choose a different type, I get checkmarks in from of all steps and the database +,- symbols are no longer grayed out.
If I go back to document type:PHP, I loose the checkmarks and the +,- symbols gray back out.
The same is true for the other site I have that uses PHP.
Could I have a corrupted file in the Dreamweaver installation? If so, which one?

In case anyone is wondering, I solved this problem by reinstalling Dreamweaver. Everything is working fine now.
I'm still curriour what caused the problem in the first place, or if it could have been fixed in a simpler way.

Why should we create a new sales document type

I want to know the actual reason behind creating new sales document type when the standard document is available

General procedure when setting up sales document types
You have three options for configuring new sales document types:
1. Change an existing sales document type.
2. Copy an existing sales document type and change it according to your requirements.
3. Create a new sales document type.
Recommendation
For small changes, SAP recommends that you copy similar existing sales document types in the standard SAP R/3 System and make the appropriate changes. Small changes might, for example, be, a changed description, a different number range or a different increment for the numbering of items. The name is to start with the letter Z as SAP keeps this range free in the standard system.
This procedure has the following advantages:
All the specifications of the existing sales document type are copied. In particular, the data concerning, for example, partner determination, pricing or document flow which you would otherwise have to edit manually is copied.
You can test your new sales document types in respect to the settings made without having to edit the other settings.
When copying sales document types, item categories and schedule line categories, the SAP R/3 System automatically creates a log with the copied data. Using the log, you can check whether all of the copied data applies to your sales document type or whether you need to make changes.
Actions
1. If you need to make further changes, you should define new sales document types. To do this, you enter an alphanumeric key with a maximum of four characters for a sales document type and a textual description for the key.
2. Maintain the specifications on the detail screen according to your requirements.

Can we delete a document type?

Dear All,
I created a document type supposedly to be used in a One-sided reclassifcation.
But, i understood that, one-sided reclassification will not post a document.
(I have configured this long back & i believe that it did not allow me to create the One-sided recalssification task without creating the document type. But, i m not sure of this).
Now - if i try to delete this document type - system will not allow me.
It gives an error message as
If you want to delete Document Type R1, you must first change Cons of Investments C1 so that Document Type R1 is no longer used.
Note that further uses of Document Type R1 may exist. That is, after you have changed Cons of Investments C1, the system may display yet another usage the next time you attempt the deletion. Hence, make sure you eliminate all uses of Document Type R1.
In my system there is no C1 in Consolidation of Investments.
Is this C1 a special version?
I searched in special versions - but could not make any sense there.
Any clues on how to go about this?

Yeah, i did this before.
Here is what i got:
Master data Characterisitics: 1 use (this is a folder icon)
Cons of Investments Charact Values: 1 use (this is a folder icon)
Characteristic C1 (this is a charcteristic - adjacent to this there is a button to change it)
When i click the change button, I get a message
No maintenance screen exists for the object
Diagnosis
Using the where-used list, you found a data record that is version-dependent. The data record belongs to special version type Consolidation of Investments and special version 100.
Procedure
If you want to display or change the data record in the Workbench, you should check the parameters to see if a version combination belonging to special version type Consolidation of Investments and special version 100 has been specified.
If this is not the case, change the parameters before you change the data record.
Re: "If the document type is not assigned to a task in any version it cannot be used and may not need to be deleted".
But we dont want to keep the unused doc type's :'(

PO's Document type created from Shopping Cart

I work on a SRM 5 system with Extend classic scenario.
when I create a PO from a SC, the system assign automatically a document type.
I have to change this assignment.
I already define transaction type for BUS2201, but I'm not able to find where the assigned doc type from SC is.

Hi Enzo,
The P.O in SRM has document type has either ECPO or ECDP.
These document types are assigned in the attributes of the root org.
The attributes you maintain in the root org for document types are :
BSA & DP_PROC_TY
You can find the possible document types in SPRO > IMG > SRM > SRM Server > Cross Application basic settings > Define Transaction types
Choose BUS2201 (Transaction category) and click on the Transaction types in the Dialog Structure on the left side. There you can see ECDP & ECPO transaction types.
Hope this makes you more clear. Clarifications are welcome.

I have created 4 document types in PO
Domestic, Import, Service, Subcontracting,
I have to add extra one document type and i want the print out of this document type should be different from remaining 4
only for this 5th document type i need to have different output..

You should have different document types for all process( Domestic, Import, Service, Subcontracting and 5th one) and can have one output type for all document type ( where you have one SmartForm) OR you can have different output types( five SmartForm ) for each document type.Just talk to ABAPer for inclusion of all PO output formats with all condition types.

PO - Document Type FO and Item Category B - Can they be transferred to SUS?

We are using R/3 4.7 with SRM 5.0 - Classic Scenario and XI 4.0. We are just about to launch an SUS project to put our PO's on SUS for our suppliers. Our organization is dealing with PO's for both Goods and Services. As we know that there are no problems about putting the GR-Type PO's (NB type) on SUS but I would like to know if it is possible to transfer PO's that would be from the Document Type FO and Item Category B (Blanket PO) to SUS and ensure that our suppliers can do the entire PO Acknowledgement, PO Change and post the Invoice via SUS. If not, what are the options for our R/3 - SUS installation?

How to default the Document Type in Dynamic selections linked with DDF LDB?

Hello all,
A report is associated with Logical database DDF. In the selection screen we have Dynamic selections screen in which Document type is one of the fields. As per the requirement, this field document type(BLART) needs to be filled by default on certain actions done by the user. To be more precise when user clicks on a particluar check box, then document type values from a customized table should appear in that parameter in dynamic selections.
Query here is I am not able to track the selection screen name for those dynamic fields. Can you please guide me in knowing the selection screen name for document type so that I can append values into it upon certain actions. I tried to check in the LDB 'DDF' but I could not get any apt information there.
