Does anybody have DRI working with radeon x700/Xorg 7.3 and OSS driver

I hope this is the right place to ask this question but I'm just trying to figure out if its possible.
I am currently running Ubuntu but plan to install Arch.
Currently, I have no DRI with my radeon x700.
I'm wondering if its possible at all or I should forget it for this card.

You don't know how long I've been trying hard to get confirmation that the 3D on this card works for somebody.
I know its supposed to be supported but DRI doesn't work in ubuntu.
If you see this, do you mind posting your xorg.conf (or the relevant sections)?

Does anybody have any experience with keyloggers and a good program to detect one on your mac? I think I may have one.

So yesterday I found out that my email address password had been changed. I don't remember doing this, but it is possible I changed it a while back and considering I keep my email constantly logged in. But at the same time, two of my apps were trying to access their "store". I play a game called League of Legends, which has an online store, and it randomly came up with the message "Could not connect to Maestro" (credit card). Then, Itunes (which I rarely use) came up with "sorry, we could not continue with your purchase". I think it's very strange that all of this happened at the same time, but hopefully it's a case of a forgotten password and two games bugging/crashing. I scanned my entire computer with iantivirus and it hasn't found anything, but I've heard keyloggers can be a bit hard to detect. Does anybody have any experience with keyloggers and if so, what program did you use to detect and destroy it?

If you think that a keylogger has been installed the only safe thing you can do is erase your drive and reinstall.
I don't think that is the case however.

I have recentlly moved to Australia with a iPhone 4s bought in the UK. Although; I stopped of in the Philippines and bought a SMART sim there and iMessage and Facetime worked fine (as it did the UK), as I got to Australia: My iMessage and Facetime worked for 2 weeks on a Telstra sim then I turned them off doing something and ever since they have not been able to come back online, they are always going on "Waiting for activation", I have tried restoring my iPhone, following instructions online. Nothing, so I was wondering if anybody would be able to help me.
Also: My email does work with activating my Facetime and iMessage, it's just trying to activate it on my phone number.

Does anybody have cubemapping working on Flash 11 RC1?

I have posted another topic on CubeMapping / Cube Textures here on the forum, but unfortunattely have had no replies as yet, so I wanted to ask a slightly broader question.
Does anyone have a correctly functioning Stage3D application (in the latest Flash 11 RC1), that performs environment mapping using Cube Textures, and the cubemapping texture sampler?
Of course it is entirely possible that we have a bug in our code - but the code worked correctly prior to Beta 2 of Flash 11. I have also looked at other code I have found online, and it seems to exhibit the same problems.
So if anybody has it working, I would be very grateful if you would let me know -

Does anyone have SSL working with the Sun Java System App Server PE?

We have been having problems (to say the least) getting SSL to work with the Sun Java Application Server 8.1 Platform Edition.
We have a signed certificate from VeriSign and have it imported correctly, but when you test it by going to https://localhost:8182/ (note that 8182 is the port set up for SSL) you get a warning mesage saying that the certificate cannot be verified. When you view the certificate you see that it is the one that got automatically generated for you by the app server and not the one we purchased from VeriSign.
So, I was just wondering if anyone out there has gotten this to work and if so, what document did you follow to tell yoiu how it was done!

What facilities does Photoshop have in working with Fisheye photos?

Now I am reading that there are 'filters' or available plug-ins for Photoshop that will work with the wow factor and do some straightening for added creative ability with this lens. This is a new untouched area for me.
The thing that is not available in post-production software but is controllable right in the camera is 'horizon' which I know nothing about yet. I hear that you can keep the horizon level if you center it in the composition in the camera? Sounds tricky, but I do see that things 'curve up' or 'curve down' and that happens a the the bottom and at the top of photos in different shots. So, I don't know how to understand what is happening yet, but, again, this lens is so much fun I do want to learn more about working with it.

You'll want to look into the Adaptive Wide Angle filter in Photoshop. It's designed for the correction issues that come up with fisheye lenses in particular. (The Lens Correction feature is great, but it's for more standard focal lengths.)

Does anybody have an issue with not hearing custom text tones on their Iphone 5?

I am having a problem not hearing any custom text tones on my Iphone 5 even though it is not on silent mode. It's very upsetting cuz friends will text me when I'm at work at my phone is in my pocket but I don't know until I look at my screen. Never had this issue with my old Iphone 4 plus my WiFi seems to kind of suck to with reception.

I have the same problem! I have been on the phone and emailing apple support for several days and still not working. They credited back my purchased text tones. I even repurchased a couple text tones and they work for a couple hours then it stops working. If I click on sounds under settings and try to just listen to the tone, all It does is vibrate

it is a long time ago since the last post but maybe someone could help me. I got a Thinkpad T22 with a Lucent Winmodem which doesn't work on Archlinux with kernel 2.6.27. I tried to install the martian and martian-utils package but WvDail doesn't recognize the modem. I also tried to compile the ltmodem, ltserial modules but it fails. I heard that for kernel >2.6.12 the ltmodem-drivers where replaced by martian drivers.
So after trying last four days to get the modem run with martian drivers I'm frustratetd that it doesn't work. How can I check wether the driver is working?
I did the following:
# pacman -S martian martian-utils
# depmod
Added martian_dev to MODULES-array and martian to DAEMON-array in /etc/rc.conf
restarted computer and run wvdailconf
# wvdailconf

Sorry, no modem was detected! Is it in use by another program?
Did you configure it properly with setserial?
The martian arch-package seems not to be absolute correct. After installing, the install script didn't do a depmod which ist necessary to load the module via modprobe martian_dev. So my assumption is that the driver is not really vaible. So how can I test the driver?
Has anybody an idea how I could get this modem working?

Does anyone have Trash working with OD users?

I think it is a general Dock issue but OD users are not seeing Having trouble with their Dock trash. You move files in and they either just dissapear (not in the Trashcan) but they are in the .Trash folder or they show up in the Trashcan but you can't empty the Trash.
I have tried fixing it using 10.6 where the trash works fine with the user accounts.
I thought it was an issue from my Server setup so I set up a brand new Mac mini wwith a fresh and clean Lion Server install and set up one test OD user and it has the same issue!
Lately too some users who have their Downloads folder in the Dock are seeing their system lock up when Safari completes a download and the Dock icon changes. The Dock will take up 100% of the CPU and force quitting it will cause EVERYTHING to lock up with and nessisitating a force reboot.
I was hoping 10.7.1 and 10.7.2 updates and then 10.7.2 combo updates would fix the issue not no it is still there.
Between this and OD users seeing beachballs 30-60 seconds every time they open a document is a program that supports auto-save and versioning I am ready to migrate everyone back to 10.6 and start looking at Linux server alternatives for the future.

Yeah, even the Secure Empty Trash workaround can sometimes have issues.
I tried wih user homes stored locally and on an external drive. The only way I could get it to work is by creating a user and NOT setting a network home, then the trash would work. Makes me think it is a weird permissions issue on the client-end since 10.6 users work fine and no matter how the system sets or I set permissions on the Users directory I still end up with Trash and other issues.
Between this and the beach-balling with auto-save/versioning enabled apps my Lion users are not happy campers.

First of all, is the music only disappearing from your iPod, or from your iTunes Library as well?
From your other thread, I gather you swap between Manually Managing and Syncing. This is a bad idea, it will lead to confusion on your part about what should be on the iPod. You'll make a choice that iTunes later overrides - because you've told it to. Choose one method or the other, not both.
Peresonally, I recommend using the iTunes Sync process. Using Sync will not prevent you from deciding what's on your iPod. You will still have a free and full choice in that. The Sync process will however, make it far easier for you to put everything back onto your iPod in the event that you need to Restore your iPod, or when you replace this iPod with a newer one.
Back to your issue though. Is the music, missing from your iPod, still in your Library?

I have a ipad 2 , now with ios7 . My problems started when I updated first the wallpaper size that was solved sort of . Now may ipad is slower to respond and my apps keep crashing also at times i cant even get my e-mail !
I am tempted to go back to the older system can i do that?

I updated my ipad via me computer that was the the only way i could get ios7 I backed up my older system on my computer before updating to ios7 can i get that back some how?

Why does Live View not work with the following: @media only screen and (max-width: 480px)?

When I use the above media query in my stylesheet Live View ceases to update the viewport. I have to update it manually each time I add or change a style. This is not the case when I use styles under a common tablet sized query @media only screen and (max-width: 768px), or when there is no query at all. Is this a bug or is there something I am missing here?

I have never used it...I find jEdit to be valuable to me...mainly for the syntax highlighting..
My first 2 yrs' coding was spent with "notepad" and or "vi" (text editors) and command line javac...
I am of two minds as to whether to recommend this approach for everyone...I feel closer to the code I write in a notepad...but often times I missed things like "boolian" instead of "boolean" ... things that syntax highlighting assist you with... and unclosed brackets...which when you use an editor like jEdit (or I imagine jPad pro) you can catch easier, due to the auto-indentation.. Searching for these bugs teaches you little other than to be careful while typing :-)
I still run "javac" from the command line ... I think jEdit has a way for me to call it from the GUI..but I've never used it.
If it feels right to you..it is not wrong...the only thing I will NEVER use is a code-writing abomination... some people (even advanced users, and I will not say that they are pansies) use them.. In anything but expert hands, they are catastrophically dangerous.
The risk for code-writing IDEs is that you didn't write it, and there is an extra (un-needeed) level of abstraction from the code, one more level of complexity, that is a blockade to truly understanding the code and improving/maintaining it....

I've recently updated my iphone 4s with the ios7 update and there was a bug fix I also downloaded recently but I hadn't noticed anything wrong at the time. I know it's not happened that often today but does anyone have any problems with their 'slide to unlock' button and have to reload their iphone again? Do you think there'll be a bug fix for it? Just worried as it's not old and I have a feeling I shouldn't have bothered with the update at all.

Why would you think it's a bug? If it were a bug EVERYONE would be having the same issue.
Basics from the user guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new.
