I know this doesn't help you much, but, I think you have to see if your Mac pro does audio out via HDMI. I don't even know if mine does via DVI. I think it may have to do with the adapter. Try going into Audio MIDI and setting the digital out to multichannel
and using the toslink cable for now. Lemme see...apparently DVI does not carry audio at all. Hm. apparently monoprice could be helpful? If I understand what you're saying correctly: you want to take DVI and multichannel audio via the Toslink and have it all go out over HDMI, right? Does anyone know how to stop my monitor from blacking out?
I am getting annoyed that my monitor keeps blacking out on IDLE! Ahh! It does not sleep or power off, I suppose. Just goes black and then comes back alive on a mouse move. This is a desktop.
Here is what I have set off:
Power Management Preferencess in System Menu = Sleep is set to NEVER
in gconf-editor for gnome-power-manager:

Does anyone know how to save to sharepoint from Acrobat XI pro with SDK or Javascript?
The goal is to have Acrobat Pro watch a folder, OCR any document that appears, then save it to sharepoint using the contents of the file name to determine certain meta data.
If watching a folder is not practical then it can be run manually, but it would be better if it could watch the folder. I tried searching but I am having difficulty finding examples of saving to sharepoint using the built-in javascript capability or the SDK.
If anyone can point me to or show me an example of any of these issues I would appreciate it. In the end I will need to find the documents, OCR them, take apart the file name to determine metadata and destination location, save to sharepoint, delete the original file.I think I will need to see a javascript sample that sets key metadata for the document to be saved, and some kind of documentation on how to tell the Action to save to sharepoint. I assumed it would be pretty straight forward but I am having trouble finding any kind of documentation.
Also as files are processed, I need to move them so they don't get processed again. I was thinking that in addition to putting them in sharepoint it would make sense to move the move to a processed directory as a backup and delete the original.
I did not see that option in action either, so I could use come guidance. -

Does anyone know how to do a factory reset on the pavilion desktop 6835, ruining Windows XP?? I've tried what I did on my HP laptop, but it only restored the settings.
Did the selller tell you what version of OS X was installed when the machine originally purchased. If it had Snow Leopard on it you have an illegal verison of OS X, as the license for Lion and ML upgrades are not trasferable, they're also pretty useless to you because they're tied to the old owner's AppleID. If you are not sure or cannot find out then call AppleCare.
However if the machine originally shipped with Lion on it, the simply restart in the Restore Partion, do and erase and install and you're set. You can start in the Restore Partition by holding down the Command + R keys when you hear the startup tone and then choosing the Restore Partition and open Disk Utility. -

ICloud will not sync my contacts or calendar in Mac Office 2011. ICloud does however sync to my PC at work running Microsoft office 2010 and also to my IPad and IPhone. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I have an apple emac powerpc G4 which is running 10.3.9 software. I downloaded the 10.5 leopard software. Does anyone know how to install the 10.5 without using the dvd installer? If your optical drive is broken, you will either need to replace it or get an external. There is no other way.
Why do wish to upgrade? As you can see it is going to be expensive, probably more the Mac is worth.

I've downloade bootcamp 5 to run windows 7 but i can't get the wireless internet to work. It does not seem to recognise it. Without the use of the internet the software that i want to install i.e sage instant accounts will be useless. Can anyone help please? i also have a problem of ejecting the cd disc. i press the normal eject button and nothing happens. The only way i could eject the windows 7 disc was to toggle to the mac side of the computer and it would eject from there. Does anyone know how to do this from the windows side?
You have not installed the Boot Camp drivers.
Start up in OS X and download the Windows support software from this site > http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1638 Follow the steps of the link except the ones to install Windows.

The candara font in italics is turning my words into what looks like another language (it's only happening in the italics version). Does anyone know how to fix it? (I'm running OSX 10.8.3 on a new iMac and the only change I've made recently is to install MS Office for Mac 2011)
This is what the font turns it into (it's supposed to say Chrysler Building & New York Public Library). The font came with Pages which is what I'm working in. It worked before but isn't now.

when I'm on an app, on iso7.1 it will now show the "iPad/iphone" sign - the time - and the battery whilst running in an app. does anyone know how to get rid of that as its effecting the games i play.
If you can hide the status bar, it would be an option inside the app. I have one or two apps where that is an option but in most apps it is not.
