Does the new Itunes 8 fix the slow playback speed issues whenever you are downloading music or a podcast within Itunes?

Iteration Speed issue when Indexing 3D array wried to a while-loop

Brief Description of my Program:
I am working on the real-time signal generation by using LabView and DAQmx (PCI-6110 card). My vi reads the big data file (typically 8MB txt file containing about 400,000 samples (complex double precision). Then, the signal is pre-processed and I end up with a huge 3D array to feed while-loop (typically 3D array dimension is N x 7 x M where N & M >> 7). Inside the loop, that 3D array is indexed and processed before the results are written to the DAQmx outputs. I have a speed issue when indexing the large 3D array (i.e, 3D array having a large sub-array size). My while-loop could not run fast enough to top-up the DAQmx AO buffer (at the output rate of 96kHz). It could run faster only if I use smaller 3D array (i.e, smaller-sized sub-arrays). I do not quite understand why the size of 3D sub-array affects the rate of looping although I am indexing same sub-array size at each iteration. I really appreciate your comments, advices and helps.

Question on LabView:
How does indexing an 3D array which wires to the while-loop affect the speed of the loop iteration? I found that large dimension of sub-arrays in the 3D array slows down the iteration speed by comparing to indexing the same size of sub-array from smaller-sized sub-arrays of the 3D array to perform signal processing inside the while-loop. Why? Is there any other way of designing LabView Program to improve speed of iteration?

Thank you all for your prompt replies and your interests. I am sorry about my attachment. But, I have now attached a jpg format image file as you suggested.
I had read the few papers on large data handling such as "LabVIEW Performance and Memory Management". Thus, I had already tried to avoid making unnecessary copies of data and growing arrays in my while-loop. I am not an expert on LabView, so I am not sure if the issues I have are just LabView fundamental limitations or there are any other ways to improve the iteration speed without reducing the input file size and DAQ output rate.
As you request, I also attach my top-level vi showing essential sections such as while-loop and its indexing. The attached file is as an image jpg format because the actual vi including Sub-VIs are as big as 3MB in total. I hope my attachment would be useful for anyone who would like to reply my question. If anyone would like to see my whole vi & llb files, I would be interesting to send it to you by an e-mail privately and thus please provide your e-mail address.
The dimension of my 3D array is N x 7 x M (Page x Row x Column), where N represents number of pages in 3D array, and M represents the size of 1D array. The file I am currently using forms 3D array of N = 28, & M = 10,731. Refering to the top-level vi picture I attached, my while-loop indexes each page per iteration and wrap-around. The sub-VI called "channel" inside the while-loop will further index its input (2D array) into seven of 1D arrays for other signal processsing. The output from that "channel" sub-VI is the superposition of those seven arrays. I hope my explaination is clear.

If not you have to convert it.
Try import it into iTunes then sync it to your iPad.

Audio pitch / playback speed issue, MacBook Pro 10.4.10

I experienced a very strange audio pitch and speed issue that affected a recording I was making in Ableton Live 6.0.3.
Setup is MacBook Pro 2.16GHz, Mackie Onyx Satellite FW interface for audio, recording straight to internal HD.
I made two multitrack recordings (3-4 tracks each) which played back fine initially within Live. I then rendered the audio to AIFF in order to burn data and audio CDs.
Testing the playback in iTunes, the audio was strangely pitched lower than what we originally recorded. Checking other tracks from my iTunes library, they were playing back FASTER or higher-pitched than normal, and so did audio streamed from MySpace that I was familiar with.
CDs burnt from these AIFFs exhibited the same "lower pitch" / slower playback.
Reopening the Live Set, they were now also playing back lower pitched than what we had heard just minutes beforehand during the recording / mixing.
After I let the computer sleep for a few hours, I came back and checked -- system and internet audio was now playing back at normal speed, but the Live Set was still lower-pitched - the individual WAV files in the set were all pitched lower.
The Live recording prefs were stock standard - set to record 24 bit WAV at 44.1Khz. Since the issue seemed to affect non-Live audio as well, I'm guessing it was something more at the CoreAudio level?
I managed to salvage the session by taking the exported AIFFs into Tracktion 3 and using the pitch change function in the Clip Properties pane. One track was 1.5x off, the other was 1.125x off.
I'm at a complete loss as to why this would happen. It's a first (and hopefully only) occurrence. Has anyone had this happen to them? Could this be some sort of intermittent hardware (clock) glitch? Something to do with 6.0.3 and OS 10.4.10?
I do need to take this MacBook Pro in for servicing - it experienced the "bulging battery" issue and has a partially dead keyboard (the keys near the upper right) - but even with those issues I've not had audio issues like this.

In any case, if my Mac had problems, I'd send it in for service....!!!
About your problem, I don't think that it depends on hardware.
I'd check Live configuration and the SR of the audio files: you know, Live has so many features to modify speed and a lot of other parameters that bacomes easy to forget something.
Try recording something with Garage Band so you will be sure if there is a real problem.

in iOS... when you add/edit content in a course or collection via course manager and site manager, does iTunes U then use notifications to alert subscribers? if not, do edits simply appear when a subscriber opens said course in his/her shelf? and how long do these updates usually take to post? thanks to all in advance.

There is no way to consolidate iTunes accounts.
Setting up an iPhone has never required creation of a new Apple ID.
You've apparently purchased content with both Apple ID's. Sign into the device with the correct Apple ID and sync the content.

There are no WiFi fixes explicitly listed in the content of iOS 6.1.
What WiFi problem are you having? I've never had any WiFi issues with iOS 6.

Internet speed issues when macbook pro joins Airport Network

I have an apple tv, two iphones, a PC and a macbook sharing a Airport Extreme internet connection.
The problem is that all devices are working on full internet speed until i connect my macbook pro late 2009.
Normaly i have a download speed at 650kb/s but when the macbook connects to the Airport extreme the internet speed is jumping between 20kb/s and 200kb/s
The unusual thing are the jumps and drops of the speed.
When i shut down the Macbook all other devices are running on normal internet speed and the internet connection is not jumping anymore.
What the **** is going on?

Flash Professional trial download button says "experiencing some issues" when downloading in Linux

I'm trying to download the trial version of Flash Professional from here : https://creative.adobe.com/products/flash
... but clicking the button always results in the message "We are currently experiencing some issues, please try again later. If the problem persists, contact customer support."
The problem persists, so here I am. Any idea when will this will be fixed?
By the way, the user experience of submitting a question here sucks ***. After I type in the heading of my question and click submit, I'm taken to a form telling me I need to sign up first. If I need to sign up first, why waste my time letting me type in my question?
Then after I've signed up and logged in, I type in the heading of my question again. Clicking submit now takes me to a form where I need to... type in the heading of my question yet again (a third time). Going back to the previous page to try and copy the heading from where I had just typed it a moment earlier does not help because some Javascript has cunningly cleared away what I had entered.

Why does iTunes keep prompting for password for Auto Downloads

What is the point checking off "Always check for available downloads" and "Download pre-orders when available" if iTunes isn't going to actually automatically download anything until I go to my computer and enter the password in the pop-up? I understand having to enter a password when buying something new, but why can't it just download the already paid for pre-order TV shows without me having to intervene? All that does it save one step (clicking on "Check for available downloads") and it causes my iTunes to stop or interrupt streaming to my devices such as AppleTV when that prompt is sitting on the screen.
There is no good reason this basic stuff shouldn't be completely automatic ... I should be able to go to bed at night, and when I get up in the morning and go to my AppleTV I should immediately be able to just watch any new episodes that became available during the night without having to stream them from iCloud (which means I would have to download it twice, once while streaming and again to have it on my Mac).

I went through point by point by point, top to bottom, checking and verifying every single item as a possible cause for why my system (Outlook 2013 running on Windows 8.1 and connecting to Exchange 2010) insists on prompting me for my password every single
time I start Outlook. None of the solutions worked, my system still prompts me. I don't even have to supply a password. When the prompt dialog appears, I just cancel it. Within a few seconds, the bottom Outlook status bar changes to
"Need Password" with a key icon to the left. Then I just click on that message and immediately Outlook connects to Exchange.
The freaking software is BROKEN! Period.

What do I do to fix a software issue when it's not being recognized by iTunes?

My iPad was working fine but all of a sudden it decided to to get stuck in a reboot loop. It's telling me the battery is dead when I don't plug it in and when it is plugged in to power it's in the reboot loop.I tried to plug it into iTunes but iTunes isn't recognizing it. Neither is my computer. I've tried and tried again to put it into DFU mode but that isn't working either. It didn't jailbreak it ever and havent dropped it. Also there are no signs of water damage.
Anyone have any ideas?

When did the problem start? (i.e. after an app update, iOS update...etc)
What happened after you placed the device into DFU mode?
I would drain the battery, fully charge your iPad's battery, then perform a hard reset.

If the issue persist after a hard reset then per Demo's advice follow the article (TS1538) to place your iPad into recovery mode.
It's a difference between Recovery mode and DFU mode. (if you want to find out the difference do a search for Recovery vs DFU mode).

What could fix my speed issue?

Hi Guys, I recently bought CS6 Production Premium on a Student Discount - I got a new laptop earlier this year with the intent to use it for lots of my editing, however lots of the time when I am editing either 1080i (the format our school cameras record in) or 1080p from our Canon 650D, even with the preview quality set on 1/2 or 1/4, the video can become jumpy and out of sync with the audio, usually solved by stopping the video, rewinding and then starting again. I'm currently editing a production for my school, the videos of the camcorders were MTS files (AVCHD), which I edited separately at first in a multicamera sequence, then exported into a H.264 video for editing in a new sequence (I'm probably crazy doing it this way round, but I'm still learning Premiere Pro) and it can happen every few minutes. The specs of my laptop are below - it's a Sony Vaio, and I believe I met all the specs except the HDD speed (my question!)

Could the hard drive be the reason behind my issue? The requirements said it should be 7200rpm, but this drive is only 5400rpm. If it is, I'd rather not have to change the drive, but look at an external hard drive instead.
I found on Amazon a Seagate 2tb USB 3.0 hard drive, if I stored all my editing files on that, would I see a speed difference? If not, what else would you suggest?

....I have an i7 laptop WITH an NVidia CUDA card......and MTS files are difficult to edit natively.....esp.with more than one track. This AVCHD MTS particular codec is harder to edit than the Canon MOV files from my DSLR.
    However, you CAN improve things without buying a whole new laptop to temporarily get by.....it'll still be slow....but, better.
A.   USE THE USB3 high speed external port.....connect a cheap, ( $30-50) external USB3 DOCK and plug into it ANY 2.5",or, 3.5" HDD (7,200rpm),or, SSD for a fast location to place your media,( video files)AND all cache and preview files.......project files can remain on slow internal "C" drive.
      A super fast,great SSD....the Crucial M4.....has been on sale recently for CHEAP!!!!   Ideally, you would make BOTH drives M4's....and scrap the 5400rpm drive. Using USB 3 is buggy....you have to UNCHECK box in Windows device manager ( under "USB3 Root Hub"), which allows Windows to SHUT OFF the drive whenever it wants!
THEN, if drive still won't work right.....enter BIOS on startup and make sure correct selection is made concerning USB3 controller....I had to select "E" something....rather than "X" something to get it to work....now OK with Windows reporting over 300MB per sec. transfers between my internal M4 SSD and external Corsair Force 120 SSD !!!
B. MOST IMPORTANT FOR YOU :   you will have to do like everyone in "the old days"....like 2 years ago......and TRANSCODE the sections of footage you want to use as source material into a more "edit friendly" codec for your PC and PPro. Unless you are doing pristeen broadcast work..... esp.as a student.....using MPEG 2 is a fine compromise...yes, you lose a little because of compression, ( not really noticeable...you can test).....but, it stays HD and is MUCH easier for you to work with without creating massive files that need a fast data rate to run......you can reseach many other codecs which will work on weaker, older computers. The free DNxHD for Windows works, too.
C. REALIZE that if you really like to edit HD video a lot........READ THIS FORUM THOROUGHLY and STUDY the PPBM 5, ( 6&7) websites to learn as much as you can about what hardware and what setups work...and what doesn't....before spending any money !!! ALSO REALIZE that continuing to edit on your current system may be HAZARDOUS TO YOUR HEALTH .....CAUSING PREMATURE BALDNESS AND ALZHEIMER'S SYNDROME, AS BY THE TIME YOUR MACHINE FINISHES RENDERING....YOU WILL BE DROOLING OUT OF THE CORNER OF YOUR MOUTH IN A WHEELCHAIR AT THE "RETIRED VIDEO EDITORS OLD AGE RESORT" IN SUN CITY ARIZONA !!!!!!!
*** almost forgot!!!!....connect , using HDMI port, an external HDTV or monitor to see entire user interface......you can select the external as a timeline monitor,or, use it for the PPro interface with the laptop screen as the timeline monitor.
Also, INCREASING YOUR SYSTEM MEMORY MAY HELP......the Sony website says you have 8GB memory....not 6......if you only have two slots, it STILL may be possible to place two matching 8GB sticks in there.......this would help, if possible to do.
