Does the Bulk API accept gzipped request content?

I've been trying to send gzipped requests to the Bulk API with the headers Content-Encoding: gzip and Content-Type: application/json and it returns an HTTP 400 response with the message "There was a serialization error."
I've also tried changing the content type to application/x-gzip and it returns an HTTP 400 response with the message:
{ "failures":[{"field":"name","constraint":"Must be a string value, at least 1 character and at most 100 characters long."},{"field":"fields","constraint":"Is required."}]}
These requests work perfectly when uncompressed, it is only when I compress the data and send it to the API that I start running into issues. Will the Bulk API accept gzipped request content?

I don't believe this is currently possible

  • How do I create a Campaign Entry via the Bulk API

I am importing contacts into Eloqua via an Audience App and the Bulk API.  When if I look in the Campaign Entry Report, those contacts don't appear.  If I examine a contact that does appear in the report, I see that it has Campaign Entry and Campaign Membership under Recent Activity.  What do I need to do to make that happen for the contacts I'm importing via the Bulk API?  I've looked through the API documentation but haven't found what I need.

In the Style editor you only see the CSS files used by the website in the currently selected tab.
You won't see any references to the userContent.css file via the built-in Inspector.
Only the DOM Inspector show such CSS rules if you inspect an element that have a matching selector.
You do not need to import the userContent.css file as Firefox does this automatically each time you start Firefox and the rules that apply will automatically be added.

  • Why does the Java API use int instead of short or byte?

Why does the Java API use int if short or even byte would be sufficient?
Example: The DAY_OF_WEEK field in Calendar uses int.

One of the point is, on the benchmark tests on Java performance, int does far better than short and byte data types.
Please follow the below blog talks about the same.

  • Does the logging API provide  "Asynchronous File Handler", like log4j ?

    Hi,
    One more question about java.util.logging:
Does sun provide a standard "Asynchronous File Handler", equivalent to log4j AsyncFileAppender ?
The idea is, logging requests are placed into a queue, which is being consumed by a dedicated logging-IO thread.
    Thanks.

it's a shame, really. the Logging API was blatantly inspired by Log4J, but it's just such a poor cousin in so many ways...

  • How to use the RequestService API to create request in OIM 11g

    Hi Guys,
We are trying to build a custom ADF app (Request Forms) to allow users to request access to resources. We want to use the OIM RequestService APIs (oracle.iam.request.api.RequestService).
We can't seem to find a proper guide to use this service.
Is there anyone who has done this or know how we can achieve this in OIM 11g?
    Thanks in advance

  • Does the Communications API work with Studio 4

I just installed Studio 4 along with the JDK. The Java version that I am running now is:
    java version "1.4.1_02"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.1_02-b06)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.1_02-b06, mixed mode)
    Running on MS XP.
The Communications API seemed to work just fine on JDK 1.3 with Forte 1.0.
I installed the Comm API as instructed and set my ClassPath:
    CLASSPATH=D:\PROGRA~1\s1studio_jdk\j2sdk1.4.1_02\lib\comm.jar;D:\MyProjects\java\GarxFace
    A call to:
    Enumeration portList;
    portList = CommPortIdentifier.getPortIdentifiers();
does not yield any ports at all.
Stranger yet, if I use the auto complete feature in the editor. For example if I type: m_PortID. then no members of PortID show up.
But the code compiles just fine.
Any idea what is going on?

First I found the reason that the auto complete was not working. I had to mount the comm.jar file (you did not have to do this in Forte 1,0, just set the classpath). I thought that I had done that. That is the problem when you work late. ;)
Here is a eexcerpt that I found on a search in another post:
Copy javax.comm.properties to your <JDK>\lib directory.
    C:\>copy c:\commapi\javax.comm.properties c:\jdk1.1.6\lib
The javax.comm.properties file must be installed. If it is not, no ports will be found by the system.
Notice it says that "javax.comm.properties file must be installed"
javax.comm.properties is indeed installed in my JDK lib subrirectory, but it is almost like it is not being found.

  • How does the ActionScript API, Eclipse IDE, Flex SDK, Cygwin & Flex Builder all communicate??

Whats up Everyone! As you might've immediately recognized from the title of this thread I'm new to developing apps with Flex.....
If I've succesfully set up my development environment (Flex SDK, Eclipse IDE, JAVA SDK, Apache Ant, Flash Player, etc.....) & checked out the source code using Subversion, can I start developing my app using the ActionScript 3 API using Eclipse? & how do those different SDK's & programs communicate? How should they be setup?

If you're willing to buy into the FlexBuilder way of doing things, that's probably the way to go. In this case, you don't really need to worry about anything except FlexBuilder (at least for a while). I don't really have any experience in setting up a project with a server component (I always set 'server type' to 'None' and configure this manually), but other than that, the experience has been (fairly) smooth, and I'm someone who's pretty heavily biased towards the command line. FlexBuilder takes care of most of the Flex compiler options, tracking different SDK versions (I have three different ones installed), offers code completion and navigation tools, etc.
To get some of the terms straight (I'm not sure how familiar you are with these, since you just threw them out there--pardon me if I'm being patronizing):
    * the ActionScript API: the function and class definitions built into Flash Player (fl.*) and the Flex standard library (mx.*)
    * Eclipse: a Java IDE, the core of FlexBuilder
    * Flex SDK: the Flex standard library, the mxml and compc flex compilers, some ant tasks for build automation, etc.
    * Cygwin: this does not really have anything to do with Flex specifically, as far as I'm aware--it's a *nix emulation layer for Windows
    * FlexBuilder: the Flex IDE from Adobe, built as a plug-in to Eclipse
FlexBuilder is available in standalone (i.e., pre-bundled with Eclipse) and plug-in versions. Both versions include the SDK. If you're just starting out, I would suggest a FlexBuilder standalone trial, and follows some tutorials out there (or, really, just chose "new Flex project" and explore). In this case, you don't really have to worry about installing or configuring anything else to get started.
Note also that for the upcoming Flex 4, FlexBuilder has been renamed Flash Builder (but I would stick with Flex 3.4 or 3.2 right now unless you really likethe bleeding edge).

  • Does the apple store accept virtual visa cards.

Ok so I couldn't find any section for the actual apple store so this was the closest catogery I could find.
Anyway I got a visa gift card for my birthday and am thinking of ordering the new iphone. But this means I will have to add several more hundred euro onto the card. So I was wondering will the online store accept a virtual visa or will I just be wasting my money

    Thanks Carolyn,
Thanks for your reply. I should have specified that I am in ireland, so the payments page is slightly different from the US one. The best equivalent I can find for ireland is
    http://store.apple.com/ie/help/payments/card_payment
However there is nothing specified about virtual visas here. I found one virtual visa company (not the one I am looking at using) that states "Please notice Apple® does not support Virtual VISA® at iTunes®."
    https://bancore.com/pages/b2c/products/virtualvisa.do
I know the apple store and itunes are different however if it does not work I will have €679 stuck on a virtual visa card that will essentually be of no use to me as it won't be possible to take it off again. There are no physical apple stores in Ireland so the only way to buy an iphone outside of a contract with a mobile phone provider is trough the online store.
I tried ringing their sales line however the person on the other end of the phone did not sound like he had the slightest clue. He just said if the card works on any other online store that it will work with apple which is contrary to what the above virtual visa company say.
Any help offsomeone who has either used or failed to use a virtual visa would be extremely appreciated.

  • Does the REST API offer team member capacity?

I would like to get the capacity for all team members in a project for a sprint. The documentation does not say this is available but it may just not be documented. If its possible, which endpoint would expose this information?

    Hi lgoolsby,
According to Visual Studio Online REST API reference on this
page, there is no capacity for team members of a team project. You can submit a user voice
here to request or confirm the reference.
However, you can view team members' capacity on team web access directly. Thanks for your understanding.

  • Does the Target Audiences setting work for Content Search Web Part Snippets?

I am attempting to create a page layout in SharePoint 2013 that contains a Content Search Web Part snippet.
I only want the CS Web Part to appear for certain users in a defined SP Group.
I set the Target Audience property during the generation of the snippet.

  • Does the iTunes store accept debit cards for purchases?

Because that's the only explanation for why my card won't go through when trying to buy on iTunes. It's my debit card from my bank but I have been able to buy online with it on 99% of websites. If not I will be super mad lol. Thanks for any help!

Sadly, the answer is no. From the link posted at the bottom of the page:
    +PAYMENTS, TAXES, AND REFUND POLICY+
+The iTunes Store, App Store, and iBookstore services (“Services”) accept these forms of payment: credit cards issued by U.S. banks, payments through your PayPal account, iTunes Cards, iTunes Store Gift Certificates, Content Codes, and Allowance Account balances.+

  • HT1539 why does the download only show in shared content on my ipad? and can i access the shared content without wifi ( example driving in car?)

I am using the icloud from a pc, and sharing with my ipad ( 1st generation) new to this. I have downloaded some digital copies into my itunes account. On my Ipad one shows under movies and 2 show under shared. Y is this and can shared content be accessed without being contected to my home wifi?

I did a little bit more research, and if I go into iTunes and choose to display TV Shows and Movies as a List, I get a nice, sortable list of movies and shows to which I can add columns. A column that you can add is called "iCloud Status."
This column shows either Purchased or Ineligible for all of the titles. And this is where things get really confusing.
Sure enough, the items that are "missing" from the iPads, iPhone, Apple TV, etc. are the Ineligible items, but that's not the confusing part. What IS confusing is which items are Ineligible.
A good example is my Deadliest Catch collection -- I own the entire season 3 and 4 of DC; season 3 is Purchased and Season 4 is Ineligible. Back to the Big Bang Theory, I have five episodes from Season 4 -- 3 are Ineligible and 2 are Purchased.
It makes absolutely no sense that episodes from the same season of the same show would be a mix of Purchased and Ineligible!

  • How does the index API work?

    Hello all,
I'm trying to automatically index certain items in my document (as well as automatically generating the final index). For info, I'm currently working on a plugin for CS5.
From what I can gather, it appears that I need to separately insert an index mark into the story (using kInsertIndexMarkCmdBoss) and create the topics (using kCreateTopicEntryCmdBoss).
My problem is with the IndexTopicEntry and IndexTopicEntryNode classes. These classes (which do not inherit from IPMUnknown) have no setters. How, then, am I to create the index entries? Am I supposed to subclass them just so I can write their protected members? If so, why?
Also, how can I tell InDesign to generate the box that contains the index? I haven't seen anything in the documentation explaining how to do this programmatically...

    Sooooo...here's what I've figured out:
When working with indexes, you'll often need the IIndexTopicList. You can get its UIDRef by calling IActiveTopicListContext::GetDefaultTopicList. (Get the IActiveTopicListContext using GetExecutionContextSession().)
    For the topic entries:
To fill an IndexTopicEntry, you really do just create a new object, and set stuff using the getters.
To create an IndexTopicEntry, use kCreateTopicEntryCmdBoss.
To create an IndexPageEntry, use kCreateIndexPageEntryCmdBoss. After processing the command, you'll need to get the UIDRef of the created entry from the command's ItemList.
Then, insert an index mark into the story with kInsertIndexMarkCmdBoss.
Finally, fix the page number using kUpdatePageEntryCmdBoss.
    To actually create the index:
Generate the index using kGenerateIndexCmdBoss. The created index will be put into the place gun.
Get a reference to the index's frame out of the IPlaceGun's Items.
Next, you can use IPlaceBehavior::ProcessReplace to replace an existing graphic frame with the index. Alternatively, you can just copy its contents using one of the QueryMoveStory______Commands of ITextUtils.

  • Does the Intel iMac accept the smaller DVD/CD's that often come as software

I cannot find anywhere any info if the Intel iMac's slot loading drive will accept the smaller type of CD/DVD's. I received one of these as a software install CD to transfer data from an LG cell phone vis USB cable.
