Does this speed seem right?

Hello! I've just joined BT Infinity after previously being with TalkTalk FTTC. Got fed up with their poor customer service and finally switched.
During my time with TT, there was an initial line fault and the speed was around 11Mbps. It was fixed after an engineer visit and I saw my speed rock solid at around 21 for a couple of months, before going down to 9 with another line fault. It was traced to somewhere between the cabinet and home again (not on the premises) and after it was fixed, the speed reverted to about 14 where it's stayed fairly constant. The switch to BT happened on 1/3 (no engineer visit), and the speed has been consistent over the three weeks since I joined at around 15. 
I'd probably have thought nothing more, but just found out chatting to the bloke next door who's also with BT Infinity that he gets 25. Seems a big difference  - same house, same build, wires come from same hole in the ground, same distance from the cabinet, and nearer the 21 I got at one time....
Currently using HH3, wifi switched off, Mac connected direct with Cat 5e cable to GigE slot. 
Does it sound like I have a problem, and if so, I'd be grateful for any advice please. Appreciate any help - and thanks in advance.

    I got migrated from ADSLmax over to ADSL2+ about 10 days ago, and since then the line has been training. Please could someone look at the stats below and tell me if this looks about right?
    I changed from a HH1.5 to HH2.0. I was hoping to get about 19MBit/s, based on the fairly low attenuation, but it appears to have settled on 14.5MBit/s. I have left the router switched on without interruption for about 1 week now. It drops and reconnects about once per day, which I assume is normal during training. The noise margin seems to have settled on about 6dB, which I believe is fairly normal as well.
    Any thoughts?

    I would expect the noise margin to fall to 6db or maybe less on a good line and increase conenction speed to about 19mb again assuming good line with no noise problems - just leave it conencted and it should reduce given a bit more time

    Looking for some advice from the community. My Exchange has recently been upgraded to 21CN, when I enquired about an upgrade, I was told my line would only support 3mb to 5mb on an ADSL2+ line.
    This seems a bit low to me, as I have been on steady connection for the last 6 years and my second business line when entered into the same checkers, gives me a connection speed of 11+mb.
    I've spoken to the BT team (and very helpful they have been) and their advice is to stay on the 20CN network but I just wanted to throw it out there and see what folk thought.

    Can anyone share any ideas on how I could improve my connection. I got switched over to 21CN and I've had a slight decrease. Now I was aware that this would happen but I think what is confusing me is that both my direct neighbours have been updated aswell and both have seen significant speed increases, from 5 to 8+mb

    It's a HomeHub 2 I use (neighbours actually use a HH v1) so would a new router help? It's plugged into the master socket, all filters are in good order and there are no extensions in use, ringer wire had been removed so overall, pretty happy with the internal setup in the house. With that time of Line attenuation I would be expecting far higher speeds or am I missing something? I know there is a 10 day bedding in period, just wondering why my neighbours have got faster speeds on older kit and being switched over after me.

    What colors? You mean in code view?
    Actually your last line should be this -

    No problem, sometime the iPod need a Reset to clear the overflowing cache.
    So it's good to Reset once a week or after you recharge it.

  • Setting up development on device - am I doing this right?

    I'm just setting up to do development on the device. I've tried 2 things and I am stuck on both. What I would like to know is if I seem to be doing this the right way.
    1. I made a certificate and uploaded it through the Program Portal. I'm signed up as an individual so I guess that I'm the "Agent" etc. I expected to be able to approve my own CSR. I got the email that is sent to admins that a CSR is pending and I should go approve it. However when I login to the portal I and go to Certificates/Development I see the request is pending but I don't see an option to approve it (my own request). I have downloaded the WWDR intermediate certificate and installed into the Keychain. So I seem to be stuck in this direction.
    2. I tried to run the Development Provisioning Assistant. I completed the first page (app id) and the second (device description + device ID) entering the device id I got from Xcode. When I click continue a dialog pops up in Safari "An unknown error has occurred" / "please try again" and the Assistant screens exit.
    Can somebody who signed up to the developer program as an individual tell me if I am seem to be doing this the right way?

    There are many ways to do many things. Seems you have this written well enough. If it works, don't try breaking it just to see if you can make it better.

    No; but then, I've not had occasion to use TDM. I've been using firerwire drives for over 10 years, both FW400 and FW800, with no issues except a bit of instability using a B&W G3 machine.

Before the recent update and lay out of Itunes this didn't happen i just purchased a movie and downloaded it then synced it to my ipod and enjoyed it. But now this latest movie purchase will not download to my ipod. I have sent the problem to Itumes and if  there is answer i havent received it. Appreciate any advice

    You may need to download a lower resolution version of the movie in order for it to sync to your iPod.

    As you'll quickly realise, clicking the
    ? symbol is fine for finding individual files that may have been relocated, but not for large numbers. There must be a better way
    Look at the Folder panel (left side of Library module) and you should find that the folder/subfolder containing the files that Lightroom can no longer find are shown in Red text. It is the red text that Lightroom uses to help you identify a folder/subfolder that contains files that it has lost track off.
    On the Mac you should
    Ctrl-click (right-click when using two button mouse) the folder/subfolder, a pop-up menu will appear. From the pop-up menu choose the command
    Locate Missing Folder, a dialog should appear. The dialog gives you access to every hard disk connected to your computer or CD/DVDs if they're in the tray. Use this dialog to navigate to the location where the folder is now located, then select this folder (not the files). Finally, press the
    Choose button and allow Lightroom to do its stuff.
    The method described above also applies to the PC version although the dialog is called
    Browse for Folder and the
    Choose button is replaced by
    OK.
    You can avoid getting into a situation were Lightroom looses track of your folders/subfolders by using a variation of above.
