Don't allow it to save unless field is 'Y'

Hey all,
I am new at this so I apologize if this is too basic. I am trying to make it so that in a SR an agent must select to "Link" our Knowledge Base solutions to the case. If no Link is selected I don't want to allow them to save the record. Any help would be great. I've tried varied versions with this base: *[<bIQLinkedAnswerFlag_ITAG>] = 'N'*

Hey tcarey,
Try Ifnull for this. IfNull([<bIQLinkedAnswerFlag_ITAG>],'P')='N' and give the default value of checkbox as 'N'.
Just to brief you about the IfNull function, it will return you 'P' in case the LinkedAnswerFlag is Null and in case it is not Null then it will return the value 'Y' or 'N'.
I hope this solves your problem.
Thanks,
Mayank

  • Hyperlinks in excel don't allow user to save file in adobe reader

    I created a fillable form for users who have adobe reader. Form works. Users can fill the form in and save it (with same name). When users try to access this same form thru a hyperlink in excel, they are not allowed to save the filled in form using the same name. Can this be corrected?

    Hello,
    Adobe Acrobat is used to design and edit forms, while Adobe Reader is only for reading.
    Once you reader extend any form, actually you enable some usage rights on that particular form and once you open that form in Reader, you will be able to perform the action that you have enabled.
    So the first thing is the end user must have Reader not Acrobat, otherwise no use of reader extending the form.
    Now to your question..
    If you design form in LiveCycle designer, you can use validate element to prevent save, put this in XML source like below.
    <config>
       <present>
          <validate>preSave</validate>
       </present>
    </config>
    If you are designing form in Acrobat itself, you can use script to disable menu items.
    For details please look in this blog.

    update to IOS 6 has been a nightmare. Facebook would allow me to save pictures unless I granted access to my foto album. Does this mean my pictures are going be planted all over the web? The safari keeps crashing and loading is slow. Most infuriating is that YouTube was deleted from my entertainment apps and I now have to pay for it if I want it back!! This is a bloody disgrace.

    Back up all data.
    Boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
    Note: You need an always-on Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection to the Internet to use Recovery. It won’t work with USB or PPPoE modems, or with proxy servers, or with networks that require a certificate for authentication.
    When the OS X Utilities screen appears, follow the prompts to reinstall the OS. You don't need to erase the boot volume, and you won't need your backup unless something goes wrong. If your Mac was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you’ll need the Apple ID and password you used to upgrade, so make a note of those before you begin.

  • [locked] Allow users to save the PDF file

    I've noticed that by using the form Distribution through either email, Acrobat.com, or a shared folder on the network the user can save the PDF file, correct? Do I understand this correctly? One other thing, what if I don't want to email out but just want the PDF form to be available on my website, will the user still be able to save a copy of the filled form for themselves to print or do whatever they want?

    Okay, is this the paragraph?
    15.12.3 For any unique Extended Document, you may only
    either (a) Deploy such Extended Document to an unlimited number of unique
    recipients but shall not extract information from more than five hundred (500)
    unique instances of such Extended Document or any hardcopy representation of
    such Extended Document containing filled form fields; or (b) Deploy such
    Extended Document to no more than five hundred (500) unique recipients without
    limits on the number of times you may extract information from such Extended
    Document returned to you filled-in by such Recipients. Notwithstanding anything
    therein to the contrary, obtaining additional licenses to use Acrobat Pro or
    Acrobat Pro Extended shall not increase the foregoing limits (that is, the
    foregoing limits are the aggregate total limits regardless of how many
    additional licenses to use Acrobat Pro or Acrobat Pro Extended you may have
    obtained).
    I'm not trying to break any laws but just curious as how Adobe would track that information. In any case, I'm not trying to capture/extract any information from the PDF form. Mainly what I'm trying to do or like to do is just allow the user to save the form. I don't want to capture or extract any information from the PDF form. My form is about three to four pages long and all I'm trying to do is allow the user to save the form that they partially filled and allow them to save the form so they can come back whenever they want to and finish filling up the form and that's it. I'm not looking for any data coming back to me. The user is required to print the form so their is no electronic information coming back. Is this still violate Adobe's limitation above?

  • Since updating Firefox to 6.0, my Quicktime Pro on Mac OSX 10.6.8 won't allow me to save MP3s, although I can listen to them on the page.

    I recently updated Firefox to 6.0 and it quit allowing me to save any mp3s downloaded to the page, although I can still play them in Firefox.
    For a very brief time, I was able to save them after the update, and I believe it has something to do with bit rate, as I was asked whether I wanted to increase the bit rate. I clicked yes, but didn't take note of whether it was 32, 64 or something else.
    Next time I restarted Firefox, it went back to the original setting and I don't know how to change it. I even purchased another copy of Quicktime to see if that would help, but it didn't.
    I'm also having this problem in Safari, so it's probably a Quicktime fix, rather than Firefox, but if there's anything you can tell me, I'd really appreciate it.
    Apparently, there are third-party Quicktime softwares that will help, but I don't know what they are or what they do. Can you help, please?

    If you upgrade to Lion it comes bundeled with it!
    To get it on your Mac Pro just copy the aplication from the aplication folder on your MacBook.  You can do this via a thumb drive or over a local network connection.

  • "Could not save as 'filename' because of a program error."  Won't allow me to save in ANY format!

    I have a large file (3500x8300px) that i have been working on in Photoshop CS4 and i tried to save it after working on it for about 30 minutes and got the following message: "Could not save as 'filename' because of a program error."  I tried saving it as .psd, .pdf, .tif, even .jpg and received the same message each time.  I closed down all other software to ensure that there was enough memory available but to no avail.  I then just closed my MBP and waited until the next day hoping it was just a glitch and might work later on.  I opened it up the next day (forgetting about the save issue) and worked on the file for a few more hours and then tried saving it again. (that's when i remembered the issue...too late...the work was already done).  Nope...still won't let me save it.  I'm afraid i'll have to restart the program but cannot afford to lose this work.  Any thoughts on how to fix it?
    *note: i tried 'save for web' and it allowed me to save it as a flattened image (although rather slow due to filesize) but i need it in a layered format.
    ANY HELP would be much appreciated!
    Thanks.
    **(I'm running PS CS4 v. 11.0.2 on a MBP 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 4GB 1067 MHz DDR3 and have Lion OS X 10.7.2.)

    There's a long-standing issue in which Windows 7 Explorer sometimes gloms onto image files in the process of caching thumbnails in Thumbs.db files.  Thing is, Windows 7 itself no longer uses these files, because a new thumbnail caching subsystem has been implemented that uses a central database, but the Thumbs.db creation has been maintained by default for compatibility.  The good news is that you can turn it off via the Local System Policy editor, to get some relief from file access conflicts.
    Do you have Windows 7?
    If ao, and you have no legacy apps that need Thumbs.db files, you can do this:
    Click Start, type gpedit.msc into the search box, and hit Enter.
    When the Local Group Policy Editor comes up, navigate into:
    > User Configuration
    > Administrative Templates
    > Windows Components
    > Windows Explorer
    Right-click the entry Turn off the caching of thumbnails in hidden thumbs.db files and choose Edit.
    Enable the setting.
    Log off Windows and back on.

  • How to save data fields within Collapsed PanelBox

    Hi All
    I have JDeveloper 11.7. I have a Panel Box with Panel group layout having some simple adf fields like (InputText, SelectChoice, Text Area etc). All these fields are mapped to a simple Java Entity with Setter and Getter methods. OnSave, in Managed Bean, I save the data to Database.
    If Panel is Open, all fields get Saved. BUT if I enter data and Collapse the Panel, those Fields are NOT getting Saved. I guess this is Expected behavior of ADF Not to Render or Submit any data from InVisible or Collapsed Panels. My need is to Save those fields even if Panel is Collapsed. Do any of you know this behavior and have any solution. One way is if for each field I have autoSubmit=”true”, it gets Save even if Collapsed. But I have like 20 Panels with total about 400 fields. I don’t want to set autoSubmit for all of them. I am looking for any property to set at PanelBox level itself. I tried flags like immediate, contentDelivery, persist etc but it did not work. Is there something I can do like on Disclosure events.
    On a Page, I have 5 Panel boxes. User enters data in each Panel, collapse it to get more space for next Panel. Unfortunately I cannot disable the option to NOT collapse them.
    Thanks
    Ravi Jegga

    Thanks Timo. I am already doing autoSubmit for few fields and yes, they get saved. But I have like 300 fields spread across multiple tabs and each tab having multiple panel boxes. I was looking at alternate way to fix this something like panel box level,or with min lines of code. If there is absolutely  other way, I may end up doing autoSubmit for all 300 fields. Are there any side effects / performance issues if I set this flag for all the fields.
    Thanks

  • [solved] systemd service files don't allow quotes

    Why is it not possible to use quotes in
    ExecStart=
    section of systemd service files?
    For example, I can't use service file like this
    [Unit]
    Description=Pacman mirrorlist update
    [Service]
    Type=oneshot
    ExecStart=wget -O /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist.backup "https://www.archlinux.org/mirrorlist/?country=DE&country=NL&country=PL&protocol=http&ip_version=4" && cp /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist.backup /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist && reflector --verbose -l 50 -p http --sort rate --save /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist
    because systemd will not run it because of presence of quotes:
    Feb 26 08:48:36 nanoBox systemd[1]: [/etc/systemd/system/reflector.service:7] Executable path is not absolute, ignoring: wget -O /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist.backup "URL=http...
    Feb 26 08:48:36 nanoBox systemd[1]: reflector.service lacks both ExecStart= and ExecStop= setting. Refusing.
    I can remove quotes and then the service will run, but the URL parsed to the command will be cut in half, ie it will stop on the first "&" sign and only DE mirrors will be probed.
    Is there some way around it other than creating a separate executable file and calling it from the service? I don't want to multiply unnecessary files if there's way around it.

    Not "is" but "was". Disappearance of that assumption was precisely the reason of starting this thread.
    I had to read this a few times, but I think you mean it as follows. You assumed you could copy from the shell to the service file and it would work the same way. Then you got an error (about the abolute path) so that assumption "disappeared". So far so good. But you didn't exactly figure out what was different, you formed a new assumption and based your thread on that:
    "systemd service files don't allow quotes" (title)
    "Why is it not possible to use quotes in ExecStart= section of systemd service files"
    "because systemd will not run it because of presence of quotes:"
    Like frank604 says, quotes were never the issue (in fact, they are one of the few things with special meaning for both the shell and systemd), yet you still seem to think they were:
    Lockheed wrote wrote:The actual wrong assumption on my part was that this command would run without quotes as service. It does not.
    It is a shame you only quote the first part of my last reply and ignore the questions in the second part. You did almost the same thing with my reply before that and I suspect you also didn't read the man page I mentioned the first time. You basically give me the impression that you think you have it all figured out (even though you come here looking for help) and my follow-up questions aren't worth your time. That usually makes me "move along" pretty quickly, but I'm trying one last time, because even though "The service now works", I'd like to see that you actually understand why it didn't work before.
    The only thing you really answered was "Changing paths to absolute made no difference.", but that shouldn't be, so when you mentioned empirical evidence, I basically repeated the question asking for some of this evidence (as in exact error messages for one or more modified ExecStart lines).
    When I take your service file and give wget an absolute path, systemd happily executes wget, but then wget complains because it gets "&&" and "cp" and "--save" etc. as arguments. Those errors are what I see in systemctl status/journal, no longer anything about an absolute path. This is because "&&" has no special meaning. You can use semicolons (";") to separate commands instead (explained in the man page section on command lines) or multiple ExecStart lines like frank604 used (which is cleaner IMO).

    I have real a lot of posts that say to click Command+Option while opening iPhoto and this will open the Photo Library Repair window, but... this is not happening.
    Be sure you're holding the correct keys and that you're holding them long enough. Depress them before clicking on iPhoto and don't let go until the menu shows up.
    If you don't want to lose those photos, make a back up now. Hopefully it's not too late.

    Photoshop CS5(64Bit): "You don't have permission to save to this location. Contact the administrator to obtain permission."  I am the administrator and give myself permission. What can I do to save the file? This is the user's PC, licensed PS CS5 software and Win 7 OS.

    Temporarily save to another folder, until you figure it out.
    Just because you are the owner and are the sole administrator, does not always guarantee that you have permission. There are several folders that you can not access no matter how hard you try. As for folders in your document folder, it is more likely a basic permission setting that took on permissions of a copied file. Some folders and files are set to a child/parent default setting, meaning the child folder/file (the one you are accessing) has the identical settings of its parent and when the parent changes, so does the child.
    You can alter the parent or the child folder/file.
    Right click on the folder/file select properties.
    Click on the security tab.
    Click on each of the group names and see what permissions are set.
    You can then edit a group if necessary.
    If it will not allow it, you may need to use the advanced button to create a new copy of the group which should happen when you alter its settings (In other words, you don't have to physically create the copy, it does it for you when you OK the changes)
    The administrator should have full access to the folder in the documents folder, if you are listed as an associate of the administrator group your name should also be listed there with full access. The System should also have full access.
    All other groups should have reading access only if they exist.

  • APEX don't allow modify rows in columns which are Primary Key ?

    I have tables:
    http://img508.imageshack.us/my.php?image=21269582oe8.jpg
    book(id_book - "Primary Key", title, year); book_author(id_book - "Primary Key", id_author - "Primary Key"); author(id_author - "Primary Key", name)
    I have created a new page -> Form -> Tabular Form for table 'author' because I would like to add new authors, modify and delete. During creating this page I have choosen column 'id_author' as 'primary key column 1' and everything is OK (I can't modify column 'id_author' - this column is autoincrement and I can modify column 'name').
    BUT I have also created a new page -> Form -> Tabular for table 'book_author' because I would like to write numbers as id_book and id_author, modify and delete them (so add relations between tables: book, book_author and author). During creating this page I have choosen column 'id_book' as 'primary key column 1' and 'id_author' as 'primary key column 2'. And on website I can't modify (edit) these fields. And I can't also add new row because I see in each column in new row: (null).

    Single-column and non-meaningful so you never want to update them. In the case of your example, you would need to add an ID column to the book_author intersection table. Honestly, I was so blown away (and pleasantly surprised) by the lack of rebuttal and the "thx" that I went ahead and put together an example of how I would define the book_author table:
    create table  book_author
       (id varchar2(32),
        book_id varchar2(32),
         author_id varchar2(32),
         modified_on     date,
         modified_by varchar2(255),
         constraint book_author_pk primary key (id),
         constraint book_auth_book_fk foreign key (book_id) references books(id),
         constraint book_auth_author_fk foreign key (author_id) references authors(id)
    create unique index book_author_uq on book_author (book_id,author_id)
    create or replace trigger  biu_book_author before insert or update on book_author
    for each row
    begin
         if inserting then
              :new.id := sys_guid();
         end if;
         modified_on := sysdate;
         modified_by := nvl(v('APP_USER'),user);
    end;
    /Good luck,

  • Why is bookmarks not allowing me to save to folders

    The old version allowed me to save bookmarks directly into a folder I had already created now it is a one click save and is only going into unmarked bookmarks. What is going on??

    Click the arrow at the far right (outside) of the folder field (i.e. not the arrow in the folder field, but the one further to the right) in the "Edit This Bookmark" window to access the complete folder list.
    This full folder list also opens if you click the drop marker in the Folder field and click the "Choose..." item.
    The full folder window has a button to create a "New Folder" (look for a button with "New Folder" or a "+" under the folder list).
    If folders in the list aren't expanded (i.e. are closed) then look for a, possibly faint, arrow icon to expand (open) the folders.
