Don't Ask Again

I don't want iTunes 10.
I don't want to be asked every day if I want to upgrade.
I Uninstalled Apple Software Update.
Never use ASU and have had it there just to check for updates.
When I want an update, I manually grab standalone installer.
So telling iTunes "thanks but no thanks" is reather lame, useless, it doesn't listen.
Everything purrs and works fine, just this. And Windows 7 has been rock solid. I think just Apple doesn't quite get Windows 7 or that not everyone wants their updates. Some of us like to wait for problems to roll it and get fixed in 10.1 or something.

There are still problems with iTunes 10.1.1 with wait states, with hanging, and as a result will stop playing at the end of one video.
When there was an update, instead of knowing to download the 64-bit version it downloaded and wanted to install the 32-bit version.
This is the type of behavior of an untested program and update process.
And rolling back means restoring media files that were modified and touched by 10.1 too, so even the data is altered.
iTunes 10 is the only application I've run into on Windows that results in repeatable wait states and locked thread.
Attempts to rectify the problem didn't work. Silly me for thinking that now with 10.1.1 (evcen though no technical release note addresses the possibility of a wait chain happening, I figured someone in a lab would, and fix it).

  • How do I untick "Don't ask again" on Script Stopped Working

I started getting a pop up telling me something similar to "A script has stopped working, do you want to stop it or continue" with two buttons accordingly. Also there was a tick box saying "Don't show this again".
I got sick of it happening so regularly and having to tick the Continue button - well it didn't tell me which script had stopped working and I wanted to Firefox to keep working and have all my plugins to continue working so clicked the Continue button, it would be good to know which script is not working so that it might help find out what's wrong and why it's not working... it's like most things that go wrong on PCs, "There has been and error, ---- will now close" Tell us what the error is so that we can report it to the programmers and they can fix it !?!?!?!?!
Anyway, I ticked the "Don't ask again" and clicked Continue...
Now Firefox pauses for about 5 seconds and sometimes longer every so often, and occasionally I see what appears to be this warning dialogue box flicker onto the screen for a split second...!?
How do I untick this box so that I get the buttons back so that I can stop the script working and then I'll be more likely to find out what's making this script not work by some part of Firefox or a plugin then not working and tell someone about it, rather than making things slow down so much...
I didn't know I had all the plugins listed below installed, where do they come from as I don't remember telling the machine that I've got Netscape- which I haven't as far as I know...?!
    == This happened ==
    Not sure how often
== I ticked the box telling it not to tell me again and continue...

  • I checked deny for a site and then don't ask again and I now want to undo that....

I got a pop up box that asked me to deny or allow. I denied and then checked don't ask again. I've searched for a way to reset this and cannot find one. Maybe someone can help?

What exactly did you deny via that pop-up?
Did that pop-up come from an extension or from other (security) software on your computer?

  • Oops, checked "Don't Ask Again". How to get back?

I think I checked the box "don't ask again" when telling iTunes not to transfer Apps from my iPhone to iTunes. I want to put Apps that I purchased on my iPhone to my iTunes now. Is there any way to get it to ask me again? Please help! Thanks

    That's easy.
Make sure your iPhone is plugged into iTunes and then right click on it under "Devices" on the left sidebar. Click "Reset Warnings" and you're all good!
Hope that helps, if you want to see what it looks like, I've taken a screenshot for you. http://h4xr.org/55qm

  • "Don't Ask Again" prompt in Site Put-How to undo

I checked "Don't ask Again" on the Site Put question that asks do you want to upload all of the dependant files, before I realized it was a timed response and defaults to no.  Now I can't undo it because it won't ask me again. As I understand it, I can't actually upload my css files if I don't have this checked yes. Please help?

As I understand it, I can't actually upload my css files if I don't have this checked yes.
Not at all. You can manually upload any file at any time by clicking on it in the DW Files Panel then clicking the Put arrow.
The Check Dependent Files option is purely a convenience offered by DW for those who might forget to upload dependent files. Or those who are doing so regularly and don't want to manually upload.
However it can be more a curse than a convenience if your images and other dependent files never change. There's no reason to keep uploading them if they have not changed.
If it's only your CSS file(s) changing regularly, it's quicker and more efficient to uncheck the option in preferences and upload the CSS file manually.

  • Can't get rid of power point dialog box even though checked "don't ask again".

  • 11g ER: Checkbox "Don't ask me again" for Configure File Type Associations

    Hi JDev team
On opening JDev 11g the Configure File Type Associations dialog opens each time, allowing me to associate JDev with 4 different file types. I don't want to associate the file types with JDev, I haven't found an option to turn this off and it's starting to get annoying. Can you raise an ER to include a check box to ask "Don't ask me again" please?
    Cheers,
    CM.

Ok I've done some digging and I think I've tracked down the issue - I'm guessing that you're running on Vista? This all has to do with the need to have elevated permissions to write to the registry on Vista.
What I suggest you do is manually run JDeveloper as an administrator, having first deleted the Jdeveloper.jprFile, Jdeveloper.jpwFile, Jdeveloper.jspFile, and
Jdeveloper.javaFile entries in the registry. Once you've run JDeveloper in this way you'll ok the dialog. Then on subsequent runs you should be able to run JDeveloper as a normal user without being troubled by the question.
Normally we automatically handle the permission elevation on the first run, but I'm guessing that because you've had previous pre-production builds of JDveloper on your machine that's prevented that from occurring.
Phew, this makes Unix permissions seem simple...

  • I accidently checked the don't ask me again button when closing firefox, how do i uncheck it?

I accidentally checked the box that says don't ask me again when it prompted if i wanted to save and quit. However, i need it to ask me this so how do i un-check the box?

First check the following setting. In the Tools menu select Options. In the Options dialog go to the General panel and make sure the setting "When Firefox Starts" is not set to "Show my windows and tabs from last time", you can set it to either of the other 2 choices.
Now reset the 3 preferences that relate to warning when closing Firefox.
    # Type '''about:config''' into the location bar and press enter
    # Accept the warning message that appears, you will be taken to a list of preferences
    # Find the following 3 preferences, right-click on them and choose '''Reset''' (if reset is not available they will already be at their default value)
    ## browser.tabs.warnOnClose
    ## browser.warnOnQuit
    ## browser.warnOnRestart

  • When I get unresponsive script what will happen if I select Don't ask me again

My PC often is running very slowly and it usually seems connected to a "Warning: Unresponsive script". I always select "Stop script" which usually sorts the problem and with no perceptible unwanted results. On the dialog box for the Unresponsive Script there is a tick box with "Don't ask me again". What action will the system take if I tick this box. Will it '''always''' cancel the script (which I want) or '''always''' continue (which I certainly don't want!)? I need a definitive answer please otherwise I could be hung up FOR EVER!

  • How to re-activate a "don't ask me this again" dialog

Hi, I have a slight problem.
I accidentaly checked the "don't ask me this again" option in the text-to-speech voice selection dialog.
Now every time I do the text-to-speech, it automatically selects Kate's voice which I don't use at all.
I'm looking for an option to activate that voice selection dialog again. No success so far.
Do you know any way to do this?

  • Choosing "Don't ask me again"

I accidentally ticked on "Don't ask me again" and then i chose "Save" from options ..save, quit , cancel when i closed firefox.
Since that time i never get a warning message when i am about to close firefox and every time i start the firefox , it comes up with my last closed tabs .
I already edited in about:config value set to true in ""browserWarnOnQuit" and it doesnt work for me .
Can u help me with this problem please?

Firefox 4 and later versions save the previous session automatically, so there is no longer need for the dialog asking if you want to save the current session.<br />
Use "File > Exit" or "Firefox > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit Firefox") if you want to restore multiple windows or otherwise have problems with restoring tabs.<br />
You can use "History > Restore Previous Session" to get the previous session at any time.<br />
You may need to click the orange/gray Firefox button to see History.<br />
There is also a "Restore Previous Session" button on the default <b>about:home</b> Home page.
You can set the warn prefs on the <b>about:config</b> page to <b>true</b> via the right-click context menu or toggle the value with a double left-click.

  • I clicked "don't ask me this again"; Oops.

I just made an embarissingly small (or maybe just embarrassing) but potentially hazardous mistake. While deleting something, I accidently clicked the "don't ask me again" box when it asked me to confirm the deletion process. So, now if I click "delete", things go straight to the trash - even if it's a mistake.
Is there a way to remedy this? Thanks in advance.

  • Trojan Horse? -- "Don't ask me about buying music again"

I'm really worried -- I clicked to buy a song from the itunes store and instead of downloading, a strange screen popped up reading something like: "Don't ask me about buying music again!" I did not click again, thinking I just opened up a trojan horse. I shut it down and began running my Norton Antivirus immediately. It's still scanning; no results yet.
I'd appreciate a response from anyone else who has seen this or knows something about it. Thanks!

    Thanks for your help, B!
I have Norton Internet Security 2006, fully updated, which is supposed to pick up on adware, spyware and the like. It found nothing.
I also use "NoAdware," which caught a few adware items and an "unidentified malware" item (could've been it). I let it delete all of those things.
I also let my Iolo System Mechanic 2006 do a complete clean-off, just for good measure, then re-started.
I haven't had trouble since, but I'm still nervous about the message that popped up because it did not seem to be related to any sort of advertisement and no one seems to have encountered the problem before.
Anything else I should do? Anyone else ever seen this?
    Thanks,
    WR

  • TS4003 Since the MobileMe move I keep getting a screen that says "IDisk Conflict Resolver." I've done everything asked to "resolve" the problem but it keeps popping up every few minutes. How can I get rid of this?

Since the MobileMe move I keep getting a pop-up screen that says "IDisk Conflict Resolver." I've done everything asked to "resolve" the problem but it keeps popping up every few minutes. How can I get rid of this?

    Ok....so I have found a work around....if not a complete solution.
I'm not sure if deleting your music, uninstalling ITunes and reinstalling and adding your music back will actually affect it but I tried it again. Started from scratch.
I checked the box for "Manually manage music and videos"
Then I moved my music to phone via drag and drop, usually just boxing a row of albums at a time.
I went back into my Iphone and began the sync. The message popped up, "1 Item could not be synced" and the sync stopped. At that point, I just clicked sync again and it started back up again. It took a few go's but eventually I got all my music on my phone.
Ironically enough, the only songs that wouldn't sync were songs that I had actually purchased from Itunes....kinda odd

  • About Firefox plug-ins/scripts without response, don't ask me agin~

    for image:http://zhidao.baidu.com/question/1510245430866340020.html?quesup2&oldq=1
hi, guys, english is my second language, but I'll try my best~~~
Sometime I use Firefox, will tint “Have no response to the script or plugin”, my question is when I choose “don't ask me agin”:
    1. If hint show again, ALL WEB will According to my choice;
    2. If hint show again, ONLY THIS WEB will According to my choice;
    Which one Firefox will perform?
and, if i close firefox, “don't ask me agin” Settings are saved? (or Just for this time, when i start Firfox agin, the hint will show again )
the last question, How can I cancel “don't ask me agin”

Do you mean the unresponsive error message about a JavaScript that is running?
That choice is stored globally for all web pages.
As this can block the Firefox use interface, it is best not to select that choice.
You can reset the related pref on the <b>about:config</b> page via the right-click context menu to undo this choice.
