Don't know how to turn ipod own

My ipod from 2004 and the lady who gave it to said it worked, but lost how to turn it on

Oh i see, this is an iPod nano. you hold down the lowest button on the click wheel and it will turn off. You press the middle button to turn it on. Or in your case it might be hold down the play button to turn it off. Look at the top. There is a switch called hold. Make sure it isn't on hold. If it isn't and you can't turn it on, it's probably needing to be charged.
