Don't know the password to my old icloud account...can someone help me please?

Okay, I have an Iphone 5s that I'm having problems with. I had a 4s and set up an apple account and Icloud account on that phone but ended up giving it to my mother and got me a new one. Well somehow my new one will not let me restore it back to its original settings. Keeps telling me I need my password to my old account and I have no idea what it could be and it will not send me a email or anything to reset it. I had the find my iphone app on it before and its saying to turn that off I have to have the old password. Guessing that somehow the new phone was synced with the itunes from my old one by the computer and now I can't get past all of it. Can anyone please help???

I have been researching this for hours and can't seem to find a fix. Beyond frustrated and upset now and know I won't be able to sleep tonight

To be honest, that sounds about right.
For example on my 8Mbps (megbits) down service I get around 0.4Mbps upload.  That is the equivalent of (very approximately) 3Mb (megabytes) per minute or 180Mb per hour.  Over 7 hours that would be just over 1Gb.
Obviously, it all depends on your connection speed, but that is certainly what I would expect, and that is why I use my computer for backing up, not iCloud.  So much quicker.

In iTunes you use the Authorize This Computer or De-authorize This Computer option under the Store menu in iTunes' menubar. For Windows use the ALT-S keys to access it. Or turn on Windows 7 and 8 iTunes menus: iTunes- Turning on iTunes menus in Windows 8 and 7.
More On De-authorizing Computers (contributed by user John Galt)
You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.
      1. Open iTunes on a computer
      2. From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."
      3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
      4. Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".
      5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.
After you "de-authorize all" your authorized computers, re-authorize each one as required.
If you have de-authorized all computers and need to do it again, but your year has not elapsed, then contact: Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us.

I recently changed my password to my apple id and was able to log into everything fine except the icloud on my ipad.  It reverted back to an old apple id and I don't know the password.  I have tried all the suggestions and no luck.

You didn't say what you've tried, but f the old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • Do you know to how update my iCloud ID to match my Apple ID if I don't know the password and I don't have access to the old e-mail address?

    Hi Guys,
Do you know to how update my iCloud ID to match my Apple ID if I don't know the password  for the old ID and I don't have access to the old e-mail address?

    Hi Guys,
    I've sorted it
All I needed to do was add my old e-mail address - not as the primary but as an alias. This allowed me to delete the account on my iPhone 4S and re-sign in with the correct e-mail address.
    Happy now

  • I don't know the password to the old Apple ID on this phone. Is there any way to delete the iCloud ID without the old password?

    Help!!!

No, not unless you have a more current iCloud ID that was created by revising this old ID.  If you do, you can go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone, then delete the account.  When you're done, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.
If that isn't the case, and you don't know the password for the old ID, you'll have to reset it yourself (see http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2617) or contact the Apple account security team for assistance resetting it: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699.

  • I am trying to restore my old IPod but I don't know the password and it won't connect to Itunes

I have been trying to unlock my old Ipod but I can't figure out the password and when I connect to Itunes it doesn't allow me to connect because I don't know the password. I have tried their solutions but they aren't working either.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

  • I don't know the password for my OLLLLDDDD iTunes AOL accounts, and thus can't play half of my music. How can I fix this?

I recently had to get a new hard drive on my laptop and thus lost all of my music. I've had my iPod for somewhere around six years, and have amassed a lot of music during that time and gone through a couple computers (mostly because I was working up to a computer of my own...). So, if you can guess where I'm going with this, I have had at least three different iTunes accounts and I still have all of the music on an external drive. My problem is that now that I'm putting my music back on to the new hard drive, I can't play some of the songs because I don't know the password for the OLD AOL accounts. I've tried every variation of password I can think of that I would have used, but still come up with nothing. I tried calling the AOL support number and the guy said he had no idea what I was talking about and hung up on me. To make things even more confusing, iTunes seems to have created an identical account to the one I use now but as an AOL account and I have absolutely no idea what the password is. This means that half of my music/TV shows/movies are not able to be watched/listened to. Does anybody have any idea what I can do to recover my password? Or am I totally screwed?? Please help!

    Ok..
Launch iTunes. From the menu bar top of your screen click Store / Authorize This Computer.
iTunes seems to have created an identical account
No... Apple does not "create" an account for you.
I've had my iPod for somewhere around six years, and have amassed a lot of music during that time and gone through a couple computers
You've purchased iTunes media all this time and never backed it up?

I have the same problem - it is maddening. I rely on this iPad for work so this is not just an annoyance! The above solutions of changing the appleid on the device or on the website do not work.
The old email address no longer exists - I haven't used it in a year probably and I no longer have the account.  I logged into the appleid website and there is no trace of the old email address so there is nothing that can be deleted or changed there.  On the iPad there is no trace of the old email address so nothing can be deleted there either. I have updated the iPad software and the same problem comes right back.  Every 2 seconds I am asked to log in using the old non-existent email.  The device is currently useless.
The only recent change to anything was the addition of an Apple TV device, which was set up using the correct login and password.
Does anyone have any ideas? The iPad has been backed up to the iCloud so presumably it now won't recognize the current iCloud account? So restoring may notbe an option?

How can I delete my Icloud account when I don't know the password and no longer have the email address associated with it?
You need your password to delete it and I need the email address to reset the password.  I feel like I'm going in circles!!!  Please help!!!

Go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address (you shouldn't need to verify the old account).  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

If the iCloud account you are trying to delete is old ID that was later updated to change it to your current ID, you can go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. • New PC asks for authorization and I don't know the password

I purchase a new PC for my wife and transferred the itunes library via an external drive.   I then auhorized the new computer on her account (she has about 2,300 songs).  When I tried to sync her ipod, it came back and said that 221 songs would be deleted from her ipod unless she authorized her account.   The authorization window came up and the Apple ID it prestored was an email account she had years ago that she no longer has.  My sense is that her ipod contains songs from 2 different itunes accounts.  She does not know the password of this old account.  I get prompted for "did you forget the password" and it says it is sending the password to the email address for the apple id.  Problem is that email address does not exist anymore so I am stuck.
The best I can tell is that her old PC had both Apple IDs authorized and she has had that PC for years so her ipod and iphone has worked fine.  Any idea how to get into the old Apple ID if we don't have the password.  The other choice I see is to lose the 221 songs.
    Thanks

Here's what you need to do. First plug the iPad mini into your computer. When you get the message about iTunes not being able to access the iPad because it's password protected, press and hold the power button and home button at the same time. Hold these buttons down all the way through the reboot until the apple goes away. After that you should a graphic of a USB cable and the iTunes symbol. When you see that release the buttons. Close out of the error message in iTunes. You should now be able to restore and update your iPad mini and set it up as a new device, or even restore it from your backup if you have one.
