Doubt about getting IPadress of a Domain

What are the differences between getting IP address in the following two methods. Both the methods return same output. I want to know how the
InetAddress.getByName( ) guarantee the same thing as DNS look up
The following are the methods
1. Use InetAddress.getByName( )
              Address = InetAddress.getByName("www.google.com");
              System.out.println(Address);2. Use JNDI method to lookup the DNS server
                  env.put("java.naming.factory.initial", "com.sun.jndi.dns.DnsContextFactory");
                  env.put("java.naming.provider.url", "dns://172.19.25.200");
                 DirContext ctx = new InitialDirContext(env);
                 Attributes attrs = ctx.getAttributes("www.google.com",new String[] {"A"});
                 for (NamingEnumeration ae = attrs.getAll();ae.hasMoreElements();) {
                    Attribute attr = (Attribute)ae.next();
                    String attrId = attr.getID();
                    for (Enumeration vals = attr.getAll();vals.hasMoreElements(); System.out.println(attrId + ": " + vals.nextElement()));
               ctx.close();Both the above methods are giving same IP for google.com
Please help me in this regard lil quickly.... Which is reliable among the above two methods

but do realise that there's no such thing as "the IP address of a domain".
You will get the ip address of a machine in that domain, to be specific the machine that's called or alliased by the name you passed.
And in case of clustered servers (as is the case with the DNS name you used in your code) you can get back any of a number of ip addresses as the cluster will simply give you one of the servers in the clusters.
