Doubt in creation of capacity

Hi All
I have a doubt as what effect the "Active version" field has in the creation of capacity.I have created a capacity with 20 number of individual capacities within it and maintained all details pertainng to individual capacity correctly.Now when look for CM07 I am not getting the cumulation of 20 capacities as Available capacity whereas getting only one capacity value.In the creation of the capacity (in the header screen) I have not amended any value against the active version field.
Might this be the reason for the above.Please advice

Hi.Thanks for the reply.I have not proceeded upto routing.On checking only one capacity value i have stopped proceeding further.
Another unusuall thing is SAP help says if you have not enter anything against Active version field then the system will take the 'standard available capacity' for capacity planning.Hence i have the doubt as the standard available capacity viewed in cr13 is cumulative of the 20 capacities,but still in cm07 i am getting only one capacity value as available capacity.
Please advice.

Hi Saket,
Following will be required for created a custom business object.
1. Object Type - ZTEST (Internal Techincal Key)
2. Object Name - ZTESTNAME (Technical Key Name)
3. Name - TEST (Name of BO, it is used while selecting the object type)
4. Description - (Short Description of BO)
5. Program - ZTESTPROGRAM (ABAP program in which the methods of the object type are implemented)
6. Application - A or B.. etc (Area to which your BO is related)
Please remember that you can learn these basic things by giving F1 help on those fields and in HELP.SAP.COM.

Doubts in creation of purchasing gruops

Hi everyone,
We have a pair of doubt in the creation and use of the purchasing groups in SRM 70. Can you help us? Our doubts are:
- Can we create a Backend Purchasing group and define Local purchasing groups below this? Example:
      - BEPG (vvv)
           - LocalPG1
           - LocalPG2
- In a Purchasing group you can assign more than one user. In transaction SoCo, these users can see all the SC assigned to the Purchasing group. Is there any way to assign some SC to a one user and some SC to another user in order to only view their own SC in SoCo?
- In SRM 7 still exists the BBP_PGRP_ASSIGN_BADI? When is execute this badi , after the SC is released or before the WF is activated?
- Our client has the requirement to assign the purchasing group according the product category of the SC. Is mandatory to use the BBP_PGRP_ASSIGN_BADI or can we use another way?

Let me explain a little more. Tipically you have the organizationa structure as follow:
Root
|---Company
>>>>>|------ Purchasing Organitation

Purchasing Group
In this case, the purchasing organitation is the child of the company, and the purchasing group is child of purchasing organitation.
My question is if I can have purchasing groups as a child of another purchasing group.

There are 2 types of secondary indexes...
1) Primary index
2) Secondary index .[we need to create]
Index will be used to improve the performance when you fetch the data from the table.

Procedure
   1. In the maintenance screen of the table, choose Indexes.
      If indexes already exist on the table, a list of these indexes is displayed. Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.
   2. In the next dialog box, enter the
      index ID and choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text
      The maintenance screen for indexes appears.
   3. Enter an explanatory text in the field Short text.
      You can then use the short text to find the index at a later time, for example with the R/3 Repository Information System.
   4. Select the table fields to be included in the index using the input help for the Field name column.
      The order of the fields in the index is very important. See What to Keep in Mind for Secondary Indexes.
   5. If the values in the index fields already uniquely identify each record of the table, select Unique index.
      A unique index is always created in the database at activation because it also has a functional meaning (prevents double entries of the index fields).
   6. If it is not a unique index, leave Non-unique index selected.
      In this case you can use the radio buttons to define whether the index should be created for all database systems, for selected database systems or not at all in the database.
   7. Select for selected database systems if the index should only be created for selected database systems.
      Click on the arrow behind the radio buttons. A dialog box appears in which you can define up to 4 database systems with the input help. Select Selection list if the index should only be created on the given database systems. Select Exclusion list if the index should not be created on the given database systems. Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

Result
The secondary index is automatically created in the database during activation if the corresponding table was already created there and index creation was not excluded for the database system.
You can find information about the activation flow in the activation log, which you can call with Utilities ® Activation log. If errors occurred when activating the index, the activation log is automatically displayed.

A Doubt in Creation of Tech. System for a BW Server in SLD

Hi Experts,
I want to access BI Queries in a BW System in VC 7.1.
When I am trying to create a New Technical System in SLD of CE 7.1 Server, it is giving me the options, to Select the System Types as
1. AS ABAP
2. AS Java
3. Standalone
4. Third Party
So, Whether we need to Select the System AS ABAP or we need to Install anyother thing to get a Systems Option as ABAP.
Also, I read in a SAP Note, That we have to define the System as AS SAP_BW.
Note: BI Kit is installed in my CE 7.1 Server
Please help me to solve this issue.

Doubts in creation of PO for service PR in classic scenario

Hi everyone,
I'm working with SRM 5.5 in a classic scenario.
I have the following process:
1. A PR for services is created in ECC (Item Category "D")
2. The PR is transferred to SRM as SC
3. A bid invitation is created in sourcing cockpit
4. A bid is accepted
5. A PO is created.
In the 5th step the PO is created locally in SRM. Is this the standard behavior?? Why is not created in R/3?

We have a requirements where the LSMW for infotype 22 should be run for a PERNR only if IT-0001 and IT-0002 are maintained. How to do this?
Remember the requirement is only for LSMW and not a BDC.

You can put your ABAP code to validate at different levels such as:
__BEGIN_OF_PROCESSING__
__BEGIN_OF_TRANSACTION__
__END_OF_TRANSACTION__
__END_OF_PROCESSING__
To enable this, in the Field Mapping step of LSMW, choose "Extras" -> "Display Variant" & tick all the check boxes. After this step you see the above processing points. Double click on the Processing point to get the ABAP editor & put your validation as per reqmt.

Doubt with creation of table!

I Have studied that we cannot create tables with that the name of ORACLE SERVER RESERVED clause like select,insert etc. Recenty i came across a query
Create table TIMESTAMP (
                         ENO NUMBER(1)
                       );TIMESTAMP is a datatype but the table gets created without any errors.
In this example
create table "SELECT" (
                        ENO NUMBER(1)
                      );How does oracle differntiate it from the table name and the SELECT clause. I could not understand the logic also of what difference does it make when u give the table name in double quotes.

Why? because I don't know about someone that type sql statements with object names between " ". So, anybody can waste a lot of time trying to indetify why the table name is invalid or they think that need to be grented by the correct privileges. So, if you put an object name in lower case between " " you need to referencing it with lower case, same case with upper case object name.

Doubt regarding creation of technical system.

Hi i am doing interface between R3 and JDBC(third party)
1)I have created one technical system(type as web as abap) for R3 and one technical system(type as third party) for JDBC.
2)but we usually download one software component in IR and we create namespace under downloaded software component(swc). we do create all objects for this interface is under this namespace.
3)when we create technical system it will ask us install product, let us say we assign a prodocut called xyzr3 for Tecnical syste(TS r3), under this we have assigned a software componet(swc) called xyzr3sw.
4) when we create technical system for third party it will ask us to installed product, should i create new product for this technical system or do i need to assign a product xyzr3 witch is already created for R3 TS(tecnical system)?
5)bcz we are using only one namespace for this interface whitch is created under xyzr3sw(sc of r3 ts, type as webase abap)
6) let us say , we have created new product and swc for third party TS, any way we are not importing this sw component in IR, bcz we have imported xyzr3sw(sc of product, ts of r3), so do i need to assign same product xyzr3(witchi is creted for R3) , xyzrsw (swc created for R3) to ts (ts of type thired party)? bcz we are importing only one swc in IR to develop the interface(one name space)

Yes. I think you should create new product here..

Yes. You do not need to import new software component version created for Third party.
But I'll suggest here..since you want to use JDBC on the receiver side...you can just create Business Service ( where you do not have to specify technical details) and you can used as a receiving system. No need to create 3rd party here..

Prefer using ASM ,bu need first configure this,it is not simple processes , because of this you can select just

Work Center-doubt in defining Available capacity

Hi guys,
I have some work centers for which i haven't defined any shifts,i have defined start time,end time & total break time & no of individual capacities ,now the client reqmnt is as follows
No of Individual capacities -7 for 1st shift
No fo individual Capcities -4 for 2nd shift
How to do that?

Sorry for delay in reply.
In defining work break down schedules:
Keep the key say BR1 in the column "BREAK"& go on changing the numbers 1.2......in the column B.No.input you values of diferent timings in the other columns.Save the values
Then in the shift defininition tab. input the value BR1 .
then break time will appear cumulated value.
then use this shift sequence in your work center.
It willsolvew your problem.

Creation Profile in Scheduling Agreement and Schedule LIne

Dear Experts,
Currently I'm working on Scheduling Agreement and Schedule Line.In standard SAP gives the provision of creation profile.I've gone through the SAP help documentation but I'm not clear on that.I've few doubts on creation profile.
1. I've created a profile say XXXX for 14 days JIT and 6 months Forecast.And I maintain the same on Scheduling Agreement additional data.
2.I'm creating delivery schedule respect ot Scheduling agrrement.
3. I maintain the aggregation horiozon in creation profile as 10 days daily aggregation for JIT and 120 days for monthly aggregation for forecast.
4.I run MRP for the header material and I maintain the necessary SA number in Source list.
5. After MRP run I'm not getting the respective schedule lines for JIT and Forecast.
6. What is the use of creation profile in Scheduling Agrrement and schedule line and is it determine ant schedule lines after MRP run.
Please clarify me on creaion profile.
