Down load PO Header text

Hi,
My client is switching from SAP to Oracle. (It was taken over by a company which is using Oracle ERP)
We are keeping all the MM and FI tables in a Data Portal.
We need to take the data of PO Header Texts also.
How to down load the PO header text in to Excel.

you have to write a small ABAP that calls function module READ_TEXT to get the text in a readable way.
Read_Text Function module is used to retrieve the text for a any long text in SAP.
To find the the parameters needed .
1. goto ME23N, enter PO Number
2. Goto-->PO header Text tab
3. click on the TEXT (which you want to know the Text id) , then click the EDITOR Icon
4. when you are in the editor, then choose from menu GOTO > HEADER . in the Next window you will find Text Name. Text ID, Language. etc...

The FM 'GUI_DOWNLOAD' should use the network path like '
10.10.10.10\shared_file\PO.txt'. Pass this value to the file path parameter and execute the program.

Problem in down loading Grid out to Excel

Hi all ,
when i down load grid output into excel using list->export->localfile ->spread sheet,
Some columns headings are down loaded with medium texts and some with short texts (seltext_s) .The same is displayed in default output(with out dragging) . I found that fields with short texts are because of field data length is less than 10 char .customer is asking to medium or long texts in excel when down loaded..
1)Hence i expanded fileds and then down loaded , same short texts are down loaded to XL.
2)I incresed output length for those fields so as to take medium or long texts in default output of report(no need of dragging ) and then down loaded to excel .Still it is taking short texts only in XL .
Will there be any default settings to consider text to considered while down loading or do ineed to set explicitley .Please advise me ..

I constructed fieldcat as follows

Hi A. Caglar Ozkor,
Basically the parmeter layout-colwidth optimization is set to 'X'. I tried out to increase outputlength after setting it to '   ' , then down loaded to excel .In that case also it picked only short texts , Hence I thought there would be some settings to decide what text to be picked while down loading in to excel .

I am unable to see text after clicking on a pdf download.I just get a mid grey screen .I can send the pdf to my blackberry and see it -so the file is ok .I recently was at an official site that gave me an Adobe down load /update .Help please .

Why am I suddenly unable to see pdf (on iMac) when I click on them ?There is is just a mid grey blank screen .I have sent pdf to my Blackb and I can read it there ,so the file is OK .I recently tried to down load a recent version of Adobe reader from a government site -could this be the cause?If so ,how do I uninstall it ?

Problem while down loading data into Excel

since in my header internal table there is no p
type field..but i am getting this error..
Only flat, character-type data objects are supported at the argument

for title this FM have some restriction as it can not take value if its more then 10 length so you need to give length as 10 only for every string then append it with FIELDNAMES = it_header

Truncation of leading Zeros when Down Loading into Excel - OLE Objects

Hi,
Can any one help me on this.
I am using <b>OLE Objects</b> to download Data into Excel Sheet. Data with leading Zeros is getting truncated in Excel.
Ex: Report Output is showing Plant Number as 0002. But when i am downloading to Excel Plant value will become 2 .
   I would like to have it as 0002 in Excel.
I have declared Werks as CHAR of 4.I am using OLE Obects for Downloading into Excel Sheet.
I am using "OLE2_OBJECT" I can not use any other FMs to down load to Excel.As i am modifying this program not creating.

Hi Nirmala,
While downloading to excel sheet, u need to change the number format of cell from General to Text, then leading zero's won't get deleted. For that u need to set the property of the cell. Please check this sample code,

I am trying to down load I tunes on my computer and it keeps telling me it cant find the apple aplication suport

I'll advise you, not to use a bdc-programm for ta's like fb50 - What woud you do, when SAP in future changes the table control to an alv grid control ??
So i advise you , to use Bapis or the standard interface

How to down-load the discussion forum portlet??

I am willing to download the discussion forum portlet from the
portalstudio site.
For that i was suppose to download and install WinCVS first.
I did that but while setting-up the cofiguration.
I had to enter my login name and password,provided by the
otn.oracle.com
WinCVS refused to recognize the login name
i m unable to understand the problem .
And i do not have any other option for downloading the
discussion forum portlet.
Is there any other way to download it
or is there something else ,which is to be done while
installing the WinCVS

Down load data from frames on the webpage

i have a scenario like, down load data from a web page.
i am able to make http requests using httpclient easily, i am receiving correct response also(i can say this as i get the same when i use browser for the same request, i checked page view source and confirmed that i got right response)
my data on the web page are in FRAMES , now when i do the request using the browser , i can view my data on the web page by selecting that particular frame , and view source of that particular frame)
if need to read the data using java program how can i navigate to that particular frame

Default text is populated in header text while creating PO.

Hi All,
         Can someone help me with some inputs on this issue.
1) <b> A particular PO header text is appearing by default when we click on Long Text tab and coming back in the TCode ME21.</b>
2) Irrespective of the organization details, Vendor or Material etc. for any PO these texts are appearing.
3) The path for example :
       Test Example Enter some PO no. (4502756226),                               Goto Header ->Texts -> Texts Overview -> Header Text (Long Text Tab),<---This is where the defualt text is appearing.
4) Imp Note: These texts are appearing ONLY while creation of the PO, but when in Change (ME22) and in display (ME23) not appearing.
Could someone help me out on this.
My steps this far:
1) I tried finding if there is any userexit. I found that all the include files of all the userexits were empty.
2) Kindly suggest me if there any other way to search a solution for this.

               Tried navigating through MM>Purchasing>Purchase order>Texts for PO>Define copying rules for header texts.
              These are meant for coying the header texts right?
              I unchecked the box there and the default header text still appears.
              Tell me if i erred somewhere in the above steps you had told.
             In the meantime..am also trying to hunt down on the FM "read_text" that
             probably is triggering the defualt text to get copied.
             Your answer helped me look at the problem from a diff perspective.

When the user converts the maintanence plan for PRS at the time of IP10 the user wants to know the below
1. Need to get the prs number in the footer so that immediately he can not it down
2. They have some specific text to be updated in the PRS where while converting that in to po the same will get reflected in the PO print previe
at the time of creation of PR itself the same text need to get updated in PR header text and as well as in the item level
