Download error 3259

My boss has an ipad, last week he downloaded the 2 entire seasons of 24, and a season of Rescue Me with no problems at all, now he's trying to download a movie and he keeps getting this error. If those shows downloaded just fine why won't the movie download? Our Windows firewalls are disabled by Group Policy so that's not the problem... and our security software hasn't changed since last week when he successfully downloaded those shows so that shouldn't be the issue either. We don't use proxys. He's wired to the internet so it's not a wireless timing out on him issue. He's on the latest version of itunes. He's logged out of itunes store, shut down itunes, and relogged in... same problem. Anyone have a solution to this? He's driving me f'in nuts asking me to fix this "asap".

If so, can you download without the 3259 while Webroot is in Gamer mode?
(Wondering here if the last batch of definition updates for your Webroot have made it a bit tetchy ... fingers crossed, if that is what is afoot, switching to Gamer mode might get you past that.

I am trying to update my iPad to v4.3.2 but every time the download finishes I get this error message:

Got a free digital copy of Inception, but keeps coming up with Network timed out Error 3259. I can download other movies no worries.

IOS 5 download error -3259?

Hey y'all, I ended up going to "google" and searching out how to download iOS 5 apart from iTunes. I found a link that allowed me to download the operating system, then to go into iTunes, under my iPod, then hold 'left-shift' and click 'restore'. It then let me use the new OS file, and updated my iPod perfectly. Make sure you back up your device before doing this as it restores it to factory settings, but you still get the new operating system. I then just synced my iPod with my computer and retrieved all my apps, songs, info, etc... Go here to download directly to your computer...

OS 5 download error 3259

Trying to download OS 5 (without installing) but keep getting error 3259. It happens right at the end when it shows all of the 740+Mb has been downloaded (ie download has already finished), saying the network has timed out. I have unticked 'protect my pc...' when opening iTunes and disabled firewall and all the antivirus, but am still getting the same error.

Thanks to whoever it was!!!! If you encounter this error when you purchase songs on Itunes: they either stop downloading, or they wont download at all and you receive "Error 3259", the temp fix is this
Pause All downloads and download each purchased song one at a time !!!! This seems to work.

As ridiculous as this fix is, it does work. I had two songs that wouldn't download (error 3259), I told iTunes to download them again, then I paused each of them and then started each one again and it worked.
This is pretty serious bug in iTunes, hopefully they will fix it soon.

While I update my usual podcasts the download is at a snails pace and ends up stopping with a message error 3259. What is 3259? Everything else on my pc runs just fine the only exception being updating my podcasts. Along with the question of what is error code 3259 how might I resolve the problem? I keep getting an error message saying my network connection has timed out when I try to download the iphone 5 software to my iphone 4 while it's connected to my laptop. Then it says make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active. The download gets all the way to the end (takes about an hour mind you), and keeps timing out. It's error 3259. FYI, I have the latest version of iTunes.

Security software on your computer/router is the usual cause of this. Turn off/disable or uninstall all anti-virus software & firewalls. Try again.

When Downloading OS4, I get error 3259

So I just got a new computer after not having a computer for about a year or so. The last update that I have for my 16 GB 3rd Generation iPod Touch is update 2.2.1.I'm trying to update my iPod to the newest software, and when I try to update it, I get this message: "There was a problem downloading the software for the ipod 'XXXXXXX's iPod'. I too am having the same problem. New computer (Dell Inspiron E1505) and new Nano. I've disabled my firewall access, allowed for full access for iTunes, I remain connected to the internet, I remain connected to iTuens store (I can listen to music, see my account info and even see the purchased songs), but I can't download my songs without getting the error 3259 message network connection timed out.
I contacted Apple/iTunes; they haven't found a solution other than disabling my firewalls, which as I've said I've already done.
I contacted my ISP and they thought it was a version problem. They suggested that I try to download iTunes version 6, but that hasn't worked either. I just hope someone has a solution. I'm about to take back my ipod and forget the whole thing. Good luck to you and wish me luck!

Intermittent error .3259 freezes downloads

I use the iTunes store strictly for video, and every couple of days a download is interrupted by error .3259 "network connection timed out." I may download other files before and after, I may be downloading other files simultaneously, but one will get this error. Afterward, Checking for Purchases will only advance the download to where it stopped before; it remains frozen.
The only 'solution' I've found is to periodically erase the .tmp folder in iTunes/Downloads, then start iTunes and Check for Purchases again. If I do this a few times each day, then eventually the download completes. The problem doesn't make sense, none of the routine troubleshooting has taken care of it, and aside from turning me on to the .tmp fix, Apple has been unable to help.

I agree. Big problem with 'this picture'...I contacted itunes support and they told me to contact my isp. Well, I did and after going through a couple of things, my isp said nothing is wrong with the connection, etc. And that I need to get back with itunes. I've done everything EVERYONE has told me and NOTHING has worked. I too have several purchases that I've paid for and can't download. I'm at the point where I'm going to go back to itunes and get a refund. It's a shame that this has not been resolved by now. In the meantime, I've gone to other sights to just get music downloaded. Itunes has so much more though, I wish they'd get involved and HELP!!!

Error -3259 ; I can't download songs

I purchased a CD off of iTunes, but everytime it goes to download the songs I get the message "Error -3259 and it says my network connection has been timed out. However, about 4 of the 20 songs HAVE downloaded. I have tried restarting iTunes but I continue to get the error message. I've downloaded the most recent iTunes system for my Windows Vista computer and it still doesn't work. Any suggestions?

Also on the page showing the blue dot (meaning an unlistened podcast) there is often an exclamation point in a circle. What does that mean?

Something is a bit odd. Your line profile is set to "fast", yet you are showing FEC errors, which would imply the the line profile is "interleaved".
Perhaps it keeps switching profiles, that would make me suspect a problem in the exchange?
Have you tries resetting the home hub?
