Download iPad purchases onto macbook.

I have an iPad and macbook. Both are loaded with iTunes and authorised under the same apple ID.
I seem unable to download purchases made with the iPad from iTunes store onto the macbook.
i have looked at other forums and have connected and synced the iPad.
And tried 'transfer purchases'
when trying to download the message is :
"You do not have enough access privileges for this operation.
Please check that the connection to the network is active and try again."
any suggestions please community?

The new songs purchased from your device should be in your Purchased list in the Store, so you can download them from your Mac:  Download past purchases
And going forward, you can set the parameter in your iTunes Preferences > Store to "automatically download new purchases made on other devices."

    Hello there, Whitea08sd.
Something you might want to verify if HD content is available in your country's iTunes Store. The following Knowledge Base article has a great chart that outlines availability of products:

  • Downloading old purchases onto new computer

I have just bought a new computer after my laptop died. Will I be able to download the purchases I have made on  my old laptop onto my new computer or will I have to buy all the albums again?

It depends on what country that you are in as to whether you can re-download them for free : re-downloading. If you are not in a country where you can currently re-download past music purchases then if they are on your iPod then you should be able to copy them to your new computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases, otherwise have you got a backup of your purchases on, for example, an external drive that you can copy to your computer ?

  • I tried to download old purchases onto my ipod on my pc screen it popped up with this "You can download past purchases on this computer with just one apple IDevery 90 days. You cannot associate this computer with a different apple ID for 6 days"

Help is needed i payed a lot for my purchases !!!

You can use multiple AppleIDs to purchase new music but you are limited as to how frequently you can change authorizations for re-downloading  past purchases.  It may well be a measure to deter piracy by stopping a group of people from going around to a friend's computer and downloading purchases on the other person's computer.  It is easy to avoid by making sure you have backup copies on drives at home so you never need to redownload anything.

  • Download all songs onto macbook from iTunes match cloud.

I just bought a macbook pro, i would like to download all my music from itunes match onto my macbook but don't want to manually select the cloud for each song. Is there an easier way to download them all?

This is not the best or most efficent way to get your music onto your new Mac. The best way is to copy all your personal content from an origional computer or backup archive. These Apple KB articles can help you:

If you insist on downloading from the cloud simply highlight all the tracks you want, right-click, and choose "download."

  • Downloading leapard software onto Macbook Pro

I just bought my son a used 17" macbook pro from a private party who purchased the computer in April of 07.
When I bought it the snow leopard operating system was installed. I took it in to have a new install done with the original disks that came with the computer just to make sure all info from the previous owner was deleted. I did not realize that the original start up disks were the Tiger Operating system. What I would like to do is install the leopard system that I purchased for my desktop onto his macbook pro and then upgrade his computer to snow leopard. Is this ok to do since we are in the same family without being in violation of the licensing agreement?
    Thanks

no it's not ok unless you bought a family pack leopard license which allows you to install leopard on up to 5 computers in the same household. regular retail leopard DVDs only allow you to install leopard on one computer.

  • How do you re-download recent purchases onto new computer

Recently had computer refurbished with a new hard drive and I wish to re-download a recent purchase from itunes with out having to pay for it again. The new itunes 10 mentions this is possible, but does not give instructions on how to do it. If anyone know, appreciate your help.

Update iTunes to 10.3.1    iTunes 10.3.1
After it's installed, launch iTunes. Select iTunes store in the source list on the left then click Purchased "new" under Quick Links on the right. You can re download your iTunes purchases in the next window without re purchasing.
Always a good idea to backup your iTunes media.

  • Can I download Elements 9 onto MacBook Pro with Retina?

If so, how do I do it?

Are you using mavericks (os x 10.9) and Safari?
You only need your serial for the actual installation of pse 9, not just to download it.
When i hit that download button using safari, the download icon jumps across the screen down to the Downloads folder.
If you look at the Downloads folder in the dock or click on the top right of the safari window, do you see any indication that the download is happening?

  • Cannot get my iPad purchases onto new computer

My Mac died and when I was migrating into the new one from a backup I seem to have entered the wrong user name in iTunes, which generated a new account.
The email address for the old account no longer exists and I cannot update it to my new one because this is associated with the second empty account which hasn't been set ut with any credit cards or anything. The second irroneous account cannot be deleted and only it can be associated with my only email address.
So I now have an iPad, filled with things I have bought that are not synced to the Mac. I get an option to erase the iPad and overwrite it with an older version from my computer, using an old email address that no longer exists as user name , or to erase the iPad and start anew with the irroneous account which has the correct email address but no content.
I seem to be too old to understand computers anymore. I need help.

I keep my itunes library in on an external drive, so I don't have this problem.  To get the files to your new computer, simply copy them into a location of your choosing.  This can either be in the music/itunes folder, or somewhere completely different.  Then go to the advanced tab in Itunes preferences.  Make sure the copy to itunes folder location checkbox, and the keep itunes organized checkbox are selected.  If you put the files into the original itunes folder simply hit reset.  Otherwise click the change location, and browse to your new music folder.  Itunes will then automatically start adding the files into your library.

  • Still can't download iTunes purchases, please help! incorrectly says "network connection timed out"

I've been trying for 4 days to download purchased media from iTunes and I keep getting this error message "The network connection timed out." I assure you my internet connection works perfectly.
Not sure if this is relevant, but this error spontaneously happened after my most recent purchase on the night of 2/10. I was able to download some iTunes extras right before I made the most recent HD movie purchase, and as soon as I tried to download that, nada!
Here's what I've already tried, but has NOT worked:
    -re-opening iTunes
    -restarting computer (several times)
    -deleting tmp files
    -disabling antivirus ware & firewalls
    -deleting & re-installing iTunes
If anyone has any other ideas to help me out, I'm all ears!
    Thanks!

    hi, thanks for your response!
