  • Can't download music from iTunes to iPad mini

    Hi,
I recently bought an iPad mini and I'm having trouble downloading content from iTunes - both new music/films & from purchase history - but I can download apps just fine. It comes up with the following error "unable to download xxx at the moment. Please try again later." I can however download content onto all my other iDevices.
Is there anyway of fixing this problem other than resetting the iPad? Been playing games on the iPad & will lose the progress in the reset process.
    Thanks!

If you are using iTunes 11 go to View>Show Sidebar from the menu at the top of the screen so that you can see the iPad under the devices heading.
Connect the iPad to the PC and launch iTunes.
Click on the iPad name on the left side under devices.
Click on the Music Tab on the right.
Click on all of the albums or playlists that you want to sync - or the entire library if you like.
Click on the Sync Music Heading.
Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes
This will probably be helpful if you are using iTunes 11.

  • Download music from iMac to iPad via iTunes

I just want to move a few albums from my iMac iTunes library onto my iPad 3. My music was ripped from my own CDs and was not purchased from the iTunes store. I am not using iTunes Match. I am using OS X 10.8.2, iTunes 11.0.1, and iOS 6.0.1.
I plugged my iPad into my iMac with a USB cord and selected the iPad under devices in the left side of iTunes. In the Summary pane, only "Synch with this iPad over Wi-Fi" is checked. I clicked on the Music tab at the top, checked Synch Music, and clicked the radio button to sync selected music. Then I scrolled down the list of albums and checked six albums. The horizontal bar at the bottom of the iTunes window shows a yellow bar labelled "Other" but nothing else (i.e., no Audio). Next, I clicked the Synch button. The messages "Preparing to Synch" and "Determining Tracks..." flashed by at the top of the iTunes window, and nothing else happened. No Audio bar shows at the bottom of the iTunes window, no albums appear in the Music app on the iPad. If I open the iPad's name under Devices on the left side of iTunes, and click Music, all the albums and their tracks appear in light gray but this music is not on my iPad. The Synch button still does nothing.
I have also tried dragging the albums from my iTunes music library onto the name of my iPad under "Devices" on the left side of the iTunes window. I see a green plus sign, but when I drop the music nothing happens. If I click the Summary tab and check "Manually manage music and videos," an Audio section immediately appears in the bar at the bottom of the iTunes window. If I click the Synch button, nothing happens except that the Audio section disappears again.
I really don't understand this. It seems like such a simple thing to want to transfer a few albums from my iTunes library on my iMac to my iPad. This app seems so counter-intuitive. Can anyone explain to me how to perform this one simple task successfully? Thank you.

Thanks for the help, Demo. I did what you suggested, except that I could not check "Sync only checked songs and videos" because it was grayed out for some reason. When I clicked the Apply button, iTunes got stuck with a message displaying at the top of the window that said "Step 4 of 4: Waiting for changes to be applied."
What finally solved this problem was ejecting the iPad and disconnecting its USB cable and doing a hard restart, then simultaneously rebooting the iMac. After both devices were back up, I reconnected the iPad with the USB cable and clicked Apply again. This time the music was transferred to the iPad. I think I probably needed to restart the iMac as soon as I updated iTunes to 11.0.1 since this was also necessary when I updated it to 11.0.
I still feel that transferring a few music files to the iPad should be much simpler and more intuitive. Jony Ive, we need you!

  • Can not download music from iCloud to iPad

I've bought a number of music albums through iTunes on computer, and the successfully appeared on iPhone. But I can not download this music to iPad.
I see all my purchses, download starts but ends with error "Can not download this song". I have no iMatch.

Okay, you are using Windows 7. What version of iTunes do you have. Please don't tell me the most current one, go into Help then About iTunes and read what it says.

  • How do I removed the downloaded music from my ipad in the Music app with effecting icloud music?

My music was taking up too much space so I joined itunes match, but the 6 gigs of my music is still on my ipad. How do I removed the downloaded music from my ipad in the Music app without affecting icloud music? I clicked to replace all music with icloud music. They both appear in Music and I don't see anywhere to remove all downloaded music. If I delete all music, I fear it will delete all music in iCloud. I assumed by joining iTunes Match that I would get the 6 gigs back for other items since my music should be on iCloud now. If that is not the case then I need to get my $ back for Match.

Removing music from an iOS device does not remove it from the cloud.
Go to Settings > General > Usage and tap Music (you may need to scroll down in the list). Swipe across "all music" and tap DELETE.

  • HT1689 how do i sync downloaded music from itunes to my ipad?  It will only sync purchased music.

How do I sync downloaded music from itunes to my ipad?  It will only sync purchased music.

You must "Add" the tracks to your library. Select Add to Library from iTunes' File menu. Select your downloaded track(s) then click on the Open button in the file dialog. Once added to the library you can select and sync them in the Music configuration tab in the iTunes main window for your device.

  • When I have downloaded music from ITunes to my IPad then try to play them in music the screen turns black, how do I correct this?

It seems that when I download music from the ITunes app on my IPad and then go to play the songs on the music app the screen goes black. Why and how do I fix the problem?

    Try this:
Make Sure iOS is updated to the latest version
Reboot the device by pressing and holding down the home and sleep/wake buttons (power) at the same time until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go.
If that doesn't work then reset the device by going to settings/general/reset/reset all settings

  • HT1711 How can I download music VDO to my iPad ? I can manage to do 1 music from Boyzone,I tried but no music VDO for me to buy,Please help!!!

How can I download music VDO to my iPad? I can manage to do one from Boyzone,Please somebody help!Thank you.

Ok...I'm going to go through what happens on my PC step by step and see if anybody has a suggestion on what I need to do.
I just plugged in my iPhone...a box pops up that says "Apple iPhone, Camera Connected, Select the program to launch for this action:" I then select Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard and click ok. Then a box pops up that says "Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard...it shows an icon of a camera and a computer monitor and says "Reading Picture Information" it does this for a full minute and then a box pops up that says "The computer cannot detect the scanner or camera. Please make sure the device is turned on and is properly connected to the computer"
Now here's step two that I try:
I go through "My Computer" I can see the camera icon that says Apple iPhone...I right click on it...and one of the options is "Get Pictures" so I click on that...and the same box pops up from before that shows the camera icon and the monitor icon and says "Reading Picture Information" but this time a different message pops up that says "The scanner or camera is in use. Please try again later"
So the next thing I try is double clicking on the icon instead of right clicking...it opens an empty window but on the left hand side gives me some "Camera Tasks" to choose from and I choose "Get Pictures From Camera" The same "Reading Picture Information" pops up and then the same " The scanner or camera is in use. Please try again later" message pops up.
    The phone is not locked.
This is driving me insane...I've been trying to do this since I got the phone 6/29/07 I've ran the windows update to make sure all my stuff is up to date...I DON'T GET IT.

  • Music from desktop wont load on ipad mini

I have downloaded music from cds made folder and it is on my computer now i cant get it onto my ipad mini

You need to put he music to iTunes and also check the format iPad mini supports here are the formats: AAC (8 to 320 Kbps), Protected AAC (from iTunes Store), HE-AAC, MP3 (8 to 320 Kbps), MP3 VBR, Audible (formats 2, 3, 4, Audible Enhanced Audio, AAX, and AAX+), Apple Lossless, AIFF, and WAV.
And one more thing when you post questions please elaborate.
If the format of that disc is something else ....... Download a converter.
MP3, according to me is the best format for ipad mini. Cause MP3 every device supports MP3 format.
AAC can be better for i Products.

  • Can I really not download music from an external website to my IPad Air?

    Hi guys
I've recently just become an apple user and am having some teething problems
Basically I'm a DJ and download music from certain websites ( beatport being one of them) . I have just bought the Traktor app on ipad to try out too.
What I'd like to know is how to save this music to my ipad, someone told me this is not possible....? That sounds completely absurd
There must be a supported/ reliable way to do it....do I really have to download to my comp then drag and drop...? What about uploading what I already have on my computer, can I upload to the cloud then download that way...?
    Please help lol

    Others may have mentioned this.
Download your music on your computer. Then load all your music into iTunes on your computer. Create playlists etc. in iTunes. On the computer. After you've organized your music there connect your iPad to your computer. You can then select the music you want to sync over to the iPad or choose to sync it all.
Any time you add more music to iTunes on your computer a quick sync to your iPad will copy that over for you.

  • How do I download music from my iPhone to my iPad

How do I download music from my iPhone to my ipad

You don't - not directly anyway. You can download the music again in the purchased tab of the iTunes app on the iPad. You will not be charged as long as you use the same Apple ID.
You can also transfer the music into iTunes on your computer and then sync the songs to the iPad. This will only work for music purchased from iTunes.
