yes, there are some whitespaces with very, very bad internet connection :-(
My question: is it possible to download the setup files for Photoshop CC or Lightroom CC over my companys network and install it later on my personal PC at home?

You can download the .exe files for Photoshop and Lightroom from the link: Download New Adobe CC Trials: Direct Links (no Assistant/Manager) | ProDesignTools and then take it to your work computer to install it there.
Note: Please follow a very important instruction given on the website.

Ned, thanks for responding. Internet access is not the problem, I will have a tower computer connected to Comcast.
Isolating the laptop from the internet is the issue.

You can get all the download links to software updates back many years by going to:
www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/ and choosing your software product in the dropdown list at the top and clicking Go. This should lead to a page of updates going back in time. It doesn’t have the .0 versions because those require payment, but the .1-.n free updates to the .0 version s are there.

My father's Mac mini has a slow internet connection. I always update it by taking the update packages that I download on my iMac to his machine. Will I be able to do that with 10.7 (Lion) when it is purchased/downloaded from the Mac App Store?

It seems that Apple's license terms will allow that across Macs that share the same App Store ID, but I doubt that's the case with you and your father. Physically the update package for Lion could be moved, but the licensing issues will have to be worked out. You're not the only person who's concerned with the issue of how to download a 4 GB file for Lion.

Help please with slow internet connection

My broadband speed to my Imac is slow at around 2mbps.
Internet provider is BT Broadband in UK. They have tested the line and I have 8mbps at the router. I have confirmed this by interogating the router ADSL Line status. The router also shows that I have a 100mbps ethernet cable connection to the iMac. However, when I run the BT perforance tester in Safari or Chrome the test result is just 2mbps.
I have tried 2 different routers and have checked the speeds on a macbook pro and sony playstation with the same results. All tests were done with only one device connected to the router.
Why is it that my devices can only get 2mbps When the router(s) have 8mbps?
I'm running OS X 10.8.2 (12C60) on the 27" iMac with a 2.8GHz Intel Core i7

Problem solved!
It took:-
4 day's of discussing this issue with BT though the usual automated telephone answering palava and talking to at least 4 different support team people, all from/in another country with different understanding, communication and training levels.
Running numerous Line tests
Trying 3 different routers (including having to find the old ones in the shed!)
Checking speeds on an iMac, Macbook Pro, iPad and even a Playstation
Methodically checking the settings of the router detail by detail
Running other speed testers
Changing cables
etc. etc...
I finally realised that whilst my connection speed was 8mbps, BT had set an IP Profile for the line of 2mbps. This is not alway's obvious when you run their speedtester as that site doesn't alway's show it to you!
Having rung them again and told them of my discovery I now have between 6 & 7mbps and can hopefully watch steaming video without interuption.
An awful and unneccessary experience - Well done BT!

Hi I'm trying to get photoshop installed on a computer at a location with slow internet and it's taking way too long. Can I download it somehow when I'm at another location to install here? I can't seem to find anything about that?

...and the monthly is supposed to be 30 days? Not many times a day? I will do the annual next time, but had no idea I was going to have extra issues by paying monthly. Logically I'd expect an annual payment to keep Photoshop authenticated for 364 days as long as it is the same computer. Why 99 days? Can I switch midstream?

I have no local network to deal with, just the computer I use directly connected to a router alone. I am the business; my staff of 5 or 6 and myself that is. Our network involves yelling hey (fill in the name) across the office. I gave up the corporate grind 28 years ago.
It's been fine for the last few tries after having issues as often as three or four times an hour last week. No changes have been made between when it was really problematic and now that it seems to be OK. Could it be an incompatibility with some other software? It does seem random and I've seen this off and on for two years. I had the full boat CC for the first year and this same thing happened inexplicably every few weeks. Seems to be related to updates to the actual CC utility, but I'm no techie, I shoot photo's and market products.
For now it's OK as I'll just use the copy of 6 I own in the field.

So I have just signed up with CC as I am wanting to get Photoshop and lightroom
So I have a computer with no internet access, and so I would like to download the CC versions of the software on my work computer.
Once downloaded, I will install the software on the computer with no internet connection, then utilise my mobile phone to teither the computer to the internet to register the products.
So my question is how do this?
Downloading the software using the manager on my phones internet is not an option. (with 300mb per month quota on the phones not an option)
I am wanting the CC features of photoshop not CS6 so registering the cs6 version is not an option.
Also when updates come out for CC where can download those.
(we have had a change of govt so I might get 24mb/s internet in 2019)

Welcome to the Community!
You can certainly download the files on a different machine and install on a computer without internet however you should connect to internet once in a month so that we can charge your credit card.
The option to connect to internet with phone will work however updates needs to be downloaded via internet as the size might be in GB's.
To download the executable files, visit this page http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cc-direct-download-links.html. Remeber to follow the Very Important instructions or else the download will not start.

I've been dealing with a severely slow internet connection with my 2007 mac pro - dual quad core. I have os 10.7.3. I use wifi.
Typically, I'll experience difficulty loading websites completely. Certain sites have a 90% failure rate to load most elements. Other sites operate quickly from time to time. Often, a site will simply fail to load at all. My cable company cannot find anything wrong with my connection and other, newer devices don't have a problem loading sites. It seems the issue is most likely related to my computer.
Interestingly, I can usually "jump-start" the connection by turning my wifi connection off and on and this will (temporarily) allow me to get an image or video to download.
Any ideas?
