Download same music twice

What a crock that they won't let you do it! I am not organized enough to make regular backups of my music, not to mention why the he*l should I? Doesn't apple have a copy already? What's wrong with Audible style library? (where you can always download what you have purchased)
Not to mention. Am I the only one who's pi$$ed about this?

The guy is full of crap. That is completely different and he knows it. If you lose something tangible like a CD, then it is obviously quite impossible to "materialize" another one. The beauty of digital distribution is that you CAN pretty much do that (that is if you willing and not a money vvhore like cough cough)

Is it possible to d/l the same app twice? (and pay twice of course).
DH has discovered he loves angry birds but so do I, so I don't want him playing my game (lol) but when I tried to purchase again it says 'installed'.

I recently installed my 5.1 beta 3 on my iPhone 4 and it wiped out everything on my phone. I didn't have any recent backups so I didn't back up my phone, I set it up as a "new iPhone". Am I going to be charged again for the apps I download if I use the same iTunes/Apple ID? Normally, it says something along the lines of 'this update is free because you previously downloaded this app..", but this time it did not. I'm downloaded a $50 app, so this has me worried.

itunes is playing the same song twice with one delayed enough that it sounds like an echo. I have deinstalled itunes and reinstalled with the same results.

I have solved the problem. i think when I moved the media file back out of public to my account, I put it back into the wrong place and ended up with a media file inside a media file, inside another media file!! So I moved it again and fixed!! Now I just need to work out why i can't share with another account user of same computor.

Hi - I have an iphone and am thinking about getting an ipod so my kids will stop taking my phone to watch videos, etc. If I buy an ipod, will i be able to download my content (purchased or otherwise) from my library to both devices? Or will itunes only let me download to one device? Thanks in advance for your help!

You did not say what os you were using.
For Windows based PC, not sure on a MAC.
Setup an extra account on your PC, i.e. one for you and one for the kids.
Store all your videos and music in a folder called MY Music but on the root of your C: drive not the default My Music under My Documents.
Install itunes on each user account and in the preferences under the Advance tab point your location of music to the folder you setup earlier.
Now add the music to itunes your self do not let itunes decide for you, always say no to itunes managing your music and opt for I will mange my music.
I have not tried this, it may not work, Windows may let you only install itunes once, so give it a go.
Another alternative is to use an external drive for all your media and use a second PC or laptop to do it.
The only thing you need to be careful of is copyright. Only have the music on one device at a time. This should be no problem as you would normally have different tastes in music and not want to listen to the same things.

Itunes login error, then downloading same thing twice!

Yesterday I had trouble logging into itunes store - apparently many others did as well, look at the online community comments from last night. I tried to buy 2 or 3 times, then suddenly 2 were downloading. How do I make sure I wasn't charged 2x? Who in itunes do I connect with?

Welcome to the world of digital media. Your can't really transfer it. I don't know what the rules are about transferring to your spouse but I do know that in some cases when you die, your heirs cannot inherit your digital media. This is why there is still an advantage to buying the CD since the usage rights belong to whomever holds the physical media.
A possible workaround is to burn the songs to a music CD with yout account (tracks only without song titles) and then having your wife upload it as a regular music CD onto her account. It's been a while since i've done this so I'm not sure if it would work now.
Please note that I'm not advocating copyright and/or TOS violations. I'm only suggesting ways to copy music for your own personal use which has traditonally been permitted. I only did this because I wanted to convert iTunes songs to mp3 files so I could burn them onto a data CD for use in my car. It would make sense that since married couples are a joint entity, this would be personal use.

It does not magically appear in a new place. It will only be where you put it.
Copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.

For some reason you have a folder called Backups.backupdb at the root level of the hard disk on which you want to install Yosemite.
Move it to the Trash.
