Download the Update and run locally multiple times.
Is it possible to get the (October 2gb update) bits locally from a machine instead of downloading on every machine i have with Win10? I see various folders, but not sure what would work. 2.5gig at a shot is a chunk.

I was thinking a way to create a ISO file so that we can use this file to perform upgrade, but the method would be a bit of complicated.
Here is my thought and steps.
First, if we update our Windows 10 Technical Preview for Enterprise to 9860 build, we would get a install.esd file under C:\RecoveryImage folder.
In Windows 8.1, here is a tool called update advisor, which would covert the esd file to ISO file, but in Windows 10 Technical Preview, there is no such thing. So my thought is to use the install.esd
to create an install.wim or bootable ISO file.
In my first thought, I want to sysprep an updated OS, but it failed without doubt, because we cannot sysprep a updated version OS. So, I choose to use Reset option. Install.esd would be recognized
a compressed install.wim. when I use reset option in 9860 build, it reset the current OS, and I can sysprep this system now. After that, I was trying to use install.esd file directly in 9841 build:
I copy the install.esd to a 9841 build OS, for example, I copy it to C:\RecoveryImage, and run
reagentc.exe /setosimage /path C:\RecoveryImage /target c:Windows /Index 1 , it cannot reset the Windows OS. So I have to create an install.wim file for deployment.
I use Reset option in 9860 build OS, when it is finished, run sysprep, it ran well, I can capture 9860 build wim file (WDS server capture or dism command). We rename it as install.wim.
Use the captured install.wim to set recovery image in 9841 build (copy install.wim to C:\RecoveryImage, and run
reagentc.exe /setosimage /path C:\RecoveryImage /target c:Windows /Index 1), 9841 build succeed upgrading to 9860 build via Reset and Refresh options.
Refresh would upgrade without losing setting and data.

Getting used to changes in the finder. I finally did see the Adobe Patch installer and am able to update applications individually. Should be able to attend to the main apps I use w/o further difficulty. Thnx for the help.

What version of the OS X are you running? Go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac and report the Version back here.

Hi, cant update IO6. After downloading the update and processing it through Itunes on my mac.... and I have a factory unlocked Iphone 4S. Cant update the software. Waring message is say this devise is not eligible for build. Please help.
Download iTunes using the tab at the top of this page. Then run the update with iTunes closed.

My mac is the OS X 10.8.3. I tried to update the latest Adobe flash player and kept getting 'Actionlist not found.' I have uninstalled, enabled and disabled plug-ins and am still unable to download the update and now have no flashplayer at all. Help!
PS I'm still new to Macs so the more broken down the better.Adobe Flash Player 11.8.800.42 is the most recent version from Adobe. It is a pre-release version. I am using it without any noticeable problems.
The current stable version is Download 11.7.700.169. -

If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.
(You may already have a micro USB cable if you have a camera or other digital device) -
Why does the App store say 'download' to OSX Mavericks when i have already downloaded the update, and restarted the computer?
I can't find Mavericks icon on the dashboard or launchpad either! Help!It sounds like you've installed Mavericks. You can confirm this by clicking on the Apple located at the top left of the screen and choosing "About This Mac" from the menu. You should see a window appear with the text "Version 10.9.1" near the middle.
If it says "Version 10.9.1", then you've installed Mavericks. It still says "Download" in the App Store because you can still download the operating system after installing it. This is useful if you want to download it for a friend, or create a USB boot drive.

I have an iMac OS 10.4. I downloaded Firefox a while ago and I had no real problems with it. Then I got this message that I should update Firefox to 3.6.16. So I hit the "Download" button and I get the "Software Update" which says "Downloading the update" with a progress bar and below it , it says "Connecting to the download server". But it gets stuck there. The progress bar has gone to the end of bar. How can I get hooked up to the Update server?
That is because that Firefox 3.6.x version has been released later than the Firefox 4 version.
If you have problems with updating then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop
* Firefox 4.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
* Firefox 3.6.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
* Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install
* Install the new version that you have downloaded

thanksReset by holding down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go. Try it again. Hopefully it will pick up and re-do the update. Post back here with results.

It downloads the update, then ask what program I want to use to install the download. It gives me the list of software; i.e., Adobe, Office, Notepad, etc.
So - what software do I use to install it since it is not automatically installing the update itself.

If it has a DMG extension, it is the Mac version of the software. -
I have emptied the cache, I have reset Firefox, I have tried doing the start in safe mode. Basically since the last Firefox update (which appeared to be more of a security update) the browser is slower than a wet week! Once you get to something with graphics it is almost at a standstill! I am really frustrated as I use my computer a lot for a lot of things and this is making it near impossible to use! I have done everything suggested in your help thing with no luck. Recently I started buying season passes for TV Shows on ITunes and I have no problem downloading them to begin with but after I download anything else from the ITunes store ITunes will try to download all of the episodes in all of the seasons of every show again. Sometimes I don't catch it before they download so I now have 2 of almost every episode in the season passes I have. If I do catch it and stop the downloads the episodes that didn't get downloaded are there but they are grey .Also it wont let me delete the extras so they are just sitting there taking up space. I have no issue with the individual episodes I buy of other shows it is just the season passes. Actually I checked and it also has a couple of other things in there that I stopped from downloading previously but most of it is the season passes.

When you add them to iTunes--you're just adding the file path to the location on your computer. When you move the file location, iTunes won't know where to look for it and will give you the infamous "!" symbol. Then you'll have to browse to the new location and tell iTunes where to find it.
How many new songs do you add at a time? If it's not many, it's probably easiest to just add them one file at a time.
To find the new songs, the file names should be good clues--they are fairly complete song titles on my computer.
And, you might want to do this each time you download a new song so you don't forget to add them!
