DP content source location not written to database - Invalid path \\server\share format needed - 80070002

Hi All, i just wanted to ask if anyone else had experienced this issue yet?
We have ~200 Pull DP's and for some time have been having issues with OSD Task Sequences randomly failing with the error 80070002.
More specifically:
Invalid path. \\server\share format needed
Failed to find an available source location
Our Task sequence is configured to access content directly from the DP.  We checked the PackageShare$ and validation state and both were fine.  Next we inspected WMI (root\sccmdp:SMS_PackagesInContLib) and this was fine as well.  Until today,
we had been redistributing the failing package to remediate, but this is very time consuming with some of the large WIMs and Driver Packages, especially over some very slow WAN links.
Today I decided to explore this a little further by examining the Database..This led me to the table ContentDPMap and the two columns in particular 'URL' and 'URLSubPath'.
I noticed that the packages we were having issues with had a URL of the ServerName in UNC format, and a URLSubPath of just '\'.  Other packages had a fully qualified UNC path to the package for URL and a full sub path for URLSubPath.
When we queried the DB further, we revealed 1190 packages to be in this state (for packages supposed to be in the share) out of a total of 42,000 records.
The query we used for this was:
select ContentID,ServerName,AccessType,URL,URLSubPath,URLProtocol,vpkg.Name from ContentDPMap as cdpm
join v_Package as vpkg on vpkg.PackageID = cdpm.ContentID
where cdpm.AccessType = 2 --UNCProtocol
and cdpm.URLSubPath not like '%SMS%' --Packages with issues only have a '\'
and vpkg.PkgFlags = (vpkg.PkgFlags | 0x80) --Limit to only show packages with the 'Copy To Package Share' flag set
Also of note, when a package is marked with a State = 2 the values for URL/URLSubPath are NULL. (State =2 is In Progress).
So my question:
Firstly, has anyone else encountered this?
Secondly - how should I fix it - we tested in our DEV and found that updating the entries remediates the issue with Clients not being able to locate content, but realise this is is an unsupported method.
I will also log this on Connect as it appears to me to be a Bug.

  • UCM content "Web Location" not available

    I installed an UCM on my linux server, and uploaded some contents on that.
    Everything went just well, except I cannot access the content via the "Web Location" (which shows on the Content Information page of the content server).

    I uploaded an image on IPM(WebCenter Imaging), and of course, I could find that file on UCM Content Server.
    The weird thing is that the Web Location of that image was available. After clicking the URL, I was navigated to the IPM login page. I inputted username and password, and viewed the image.
    Do you have any idea?

  • Urgent: can not startup the database in unix server

    hi...i am facing a treamendous problem...
    to shutdown the database(unix environmment), I have connected through putty and from there in the sysdba login, I have given the command "SHUTDOWN IMMEDIATE"
    but after that suddenly the power failure occurred and my local machine from which i was accessing the unix server, got shutdown..
    after the restart, when I am again accessing the putty and connected to the oracle11g server and from sysdba login, given the "STARTUP OPEN" command, then it is showing the error...
    SQL> startup open
    ORA-10997: another startup/shutdown operation of this instance inprogress
    ORA-09968: unable to lock file
    Linux-x86_64 Error: 11: Resource temporarily unavailable

    please help...its very urgent..

    I am using jcreator where i am getting this error while compiling

    it might be due to some BUG in RDBMS...
    First Check the Secondary index in TEST system
    Look at the Transport Number in DEV system, If this is having error, then it will show you the error details also,
    If that not moved Properly then you need to create another request for the INDEX and move it again
    See the threads with similar problem...

    Re creation of database index

    I have tried to repair my Adobe Acrobat 9.0 because it's not working. I got Error 1311 source file not found.

    Verify that the file still exists and that you can access it.
    What do I do now? I can't open any PDF files from the net.
    Also, I have rec'd the following: Unable to find Adobe PDF resource files.
    C\ProgramData\Adobe\AdobePDF\Settings\*.joboptions  Then it said you must have administrator privileges to install these files. Contact your local administrator. How do I do this? I am the administrator on my home computer!

    A couple of things...
    First off I am disabled and sometimes a little slow on the uptake.
    Subsequent to my first query, I was successful in downloading the Adobe
    Reader XI. However it only allows me to view PDF's that reside on my
    computer. If however I want to look at any docs on the web or that people
    send me via e-mail I cannot see them They flash  for a moment, like a tease
    and then say there was a catastrophic crash with not much after that.
    If I follow your instructions below, I presume that I will be deleting the
    A R X1 as well and as it was very very difficult to get it is the first
    place, would you be able to help me with a reinstall?
    I think what happened is that my grandson did a "cleanup" on my computer
    and deleted only parts of programs...and thus the part that are missing
    will not allow for the subsequent updates.
    So...thank you for your patience and confirm that I should uninstall and
    using the cleaner and then reinstall using the links you provided?

  • Where Is The Content Source Name/Titles Stored In The SharePoint Database

    I am trying to tie my sharepoint crawl history (duration of crawls) with the content source.  the MSSCrawlHistory table has the data for calculating the durations but it doesn't give me the content source.  There is a column "crawlid" and "projectid" but I can't find a database table to join that will give me the content source name. 

    That information is not stored in the database. The information is needed by the servers for crawling purposes so it is stored in the registry. You can find content sources stored in the following registry key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office Server\12.0\Search\Applications\6cce8e5e-0ba3-491c-99e5-e6a178964d66\Gather\Portal_Content\ContentSources\0
    The actual guid used will vary. The ending 0 is abritrary, so if you have more than one then you will have keys under contentsources 0..n

    Please check whether the web site allows anonymous access to its content. If not, we need to configure a rule for the URL which allows us to enter the credential to access the content of site

    I'm using FB4 under OSX and for the longest time it refused to load and just displayed errors instead of panes.  Nothing that I could find would fix it (including reinstalling).  Well, it looks like that problem has been resolved in some update, because it has gone away, and I can go back to viewing projects.
    The problem is now when I try to build the project I get the error:
    Source locator does not exist: com.adobe.flexbuilder.debug.sourceLookupDirector.flash
    Any ideas?  My familiarity of eclipse is pretty limited and I don't know what a source locator is.  TIA.

    Looks like those classes are missing from your Flash Builder installation.
    Can you check in installdir/plugins/com.adobe.flexbuilder.debug.xxx/com/adobe/flexbuilder/debug/
    If those files are missing, do a complete uninstall and then install.

      Check the folder path properly, check the file name( file name is case sensitive) you have given correct or not. See that your communication channel is active. Also check the cache status and check adapter status also by that you will come to know wht is the problem.

  • Current VI's Path returns location of original source file, not running exe.

    Running LV 2010.
    I have a VI that opens a PDF style manual when the user clicks a button.  My development project is set up with a main project folder, and 3 sub folders called Source, Application and Installer.  Of course, the source code is in the Source folder.  I also have a copy of the manual in the Application folder with the app.
    When run, the VI uses the Current VI's Path object as a starting point for where the manual is located.  The Current VI's path includes the Source folder in the path it generates.  This is not a problem when running the source code, as the VI is running from that folder.  Problem is, the Source folder is also included in the generated path at run time on the target machine running the exe.  There is no Source folder on the target machine, so I'm at a loss to explain why this is happening.  It's probably a setting in my application builder, but I can't find it.  Never had this problem before.  Can anyone help?  Thanks.

  • Standby Database Location not listed

    We have the primary database created and the primary database, server, and agent and the standby server and agent are listed in grid control targets. but when I go to create a new standby database, the standby server is not listed for selection in the list of servers to select for Standby Database Location.
    The agent on the server appears to be running and uploading fine.
    Windows 2003 server SP2
    Oracle 10.2.0.3 on Primary
    Oracle 10.2.0.2 repository
    Grid Control 10.1.0.4

    We don't have a standby database because the server isn't listed in the list of Standby Database Locations to choose from. We are trying to create the standby database.
    We've tried to Discover the standby server but it seems to already be Discovered because it is listed as a target when all targets are displayed (target type of host).
    It's almost like the grid control sees the server but for some reason feels it's inelligible to be a standby server.
