DPL for Java API

Are there any plans to port DPL from BDB JE to the Java API of BDB?

no there is not.

  • Steps for java apis and mdm

    Hi all ,
    How we can work with JAVA APIs and MDM .
    Please tell step by step ways.
    thanks in advance.
    Thnks
    nm

    Hi Man,
    You have to specify the correct JAR files in the classpath of the Java Virtual Machine (JVM). The API consists of five JAR files:
    1. mdm-admin.jar
    2. mdm-common.jar
    3. mdm-core.jar
    4. mdm-data.jar
    5. mdm-protocol.jar
    These files in one single archive file with the name MDMJavaAPI_Ver<buildnumber>.zip. you can download this file from the service market place by using mentioned below link:
    http://service.sap.com/swdc
    then goto Download>Support Packages and Patches> Entry by application group -->SAP NetWeaver -->SAP MDM -->SAPMDM5.5 -->Java API
    for the Java API documentation, you can download it from the link below:
    http://help.sap.com/javadocs/MDM/current
    But remember one thing that this JAVA API Version file must be compitable with your MDM Server version.you can verify this as per the build version.
    Hope this will help you.

  • Decoder Ring for Java API?

    Is there any page or resource that can help me understand the conventions used in the Java API? I can often find the methods or classes that I need there (or think I find them anyway) but I don't understand how to know from these API entries what I need to import or what the syntax is for these methods and classes. I'm pretty sure all that information is there if I understood the API's structure better. A reference that explained some of the basics of this document to those of us from non-programming backgrounds would be tremendously useful. Does anyone know of such a reference, either online or printed?
    Another useful resource would be some sort of glossary for programming terms. For instance, if I look up Serializable, the API informs me that:
    "Serializability of a class is enabled by the class implementing the java.io.Serializable interface. Classes that do not implement this interface will not have any of their state serialized or deserialized. All subtypes of a serializable class are themselves serializable. The serialization interface has no methods or fields and serves only to identify the semantics of being serializable. "
    This probably makes sense to someone who knows what Serialization means... I can do a search and eventually find out what the term means after wading through hundreds of search results but I would love to find a single resource I could bookmark or buy that could explain these concepts in a glossary for us members of the great unwashed and unlearned...
    Thanks from a confused wkiraly

    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/index.htmlI know where the API, I know how to look up what I want, I just don't understand how to read it properly yet.

  • OIM - docs for Java APIs and methods, where are they?

    Hello all,
    I am having trouble finding the documentation for the various Java methods. I believe that with 9.0.3 there should be something available, but I can not find it.
    thanks in advance
    Kam

    Sigh...
    Ok, so the API docs are not included in the downloadable version of the docs, only in the live web version. Took me a while to find that discrepancy!
    Furthermore the live web returns 404 broken links for them, but at least I managed to find them squirreled away on the Oracle Japan site.

  • Reccomendations for java API -- reading pdf files?

    Hi,
    I need to write an application that will extract how many pages a particular pdf file has, and some other information about it -- size, date created and so on, but the number of pages is the most important.
    I googled and came across iText, PDF Box and a few others, and I was wondering if anyone else had used those api's for the purpose I described.
    I searched the forums, but the replies I found had to do with writing pdf's.
    thanks!
    bp

    Actually, in case anyone else runs across this, this seemed to work from PDF Box:
                   PDDocument pd = PDDocument.load(new File("pdfFiles/test.pdf"));
                   System.out.println("pd info: " + pd.getNumberOfPages());

    You find examples and code by searching the internet, not by using forums.
    Start with The Java Tutorials - it has trails for the bulk of the Java functionality.
    See the trail 'How to Write an Undoable Edit Listener'
    http://docs.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/uiswing/events/undoableeditlistener.html
    You learn by DOING - not by reading. Actually DO the tutorial example and try to understand WHAT it does and HOW it does it.
    Then search for other tutorial trails that are of interest.

  • Process Performance monitoring Java API

    Hi,
    I am looking for java API's which can help me monitor performance stats like CPU utilization, memory utilization etc on a windows platform. I did get a handle on few APIs to measure memory utilization but somehow monitoring the CPU seems to be a problem. My requirement is to measure CPU and memory for a particular process and not for the entire system. Any pointers on this front would be of great help.
    Thanks
    Bhavin

    I don't see any great free libraries that you can just drop in and make this happen.
    There's an interesting looking product called "SIGAR" that seems to speak directly to what you want to do here.
    Or this might be a great opportunity for you to play with JNI and some C++... awesome! ;-)

  • How to call Java API

    Hi,
    Currently I am getting inputs from another composite, lets say Composite A and in composite B I need to pass the input values ( approx 40 elements are coming from composite A) to Java API ( end system). I have jar file for java API which has 20 different classes. Can you guys suggest me how to map the input values that are coming from composite A to Java API.
    I developed a Bpel process which receives the input from Composite A. Please suggest me for next steps and procedure to follow.
    Thanks.

    I would look into using the Spring component and wrapping your java api in a simple sprint bean class. SOA will then generate WSDL's and do marshalling/unmarshalling of the data between your BPEL and the spring component automatically. It will just look like another service call from within the BPEL but will actually invoke your spring component.
    Thanks,

  • Wanted: StarOffice 6.0 Java API

    Hi,
    I've read some good stuff about the new 6.0 StarOffice, most interestingly of which is the fact that it exposes its features through a Java API! The problem however is that when searching for "Java API StarOffice" at Sun's website I don't get to see any documents that explain the Java API for StarOffice 6.0 to me. I also checked the "Products and APIs" drop-down list at the top left, but with similar result.
    Does anyone know where I can find development documents on StarOffice 6.0 - specifically its Java API overview?

    Thanks GrayMan, that's quite an interesting link. I'm not sure though how much of the OpenOffice API is incorporated in StarOffice 6.0? Is it an exact match? Does StarOffice 6.0 feature more in its API or different things?
    I'm just a bit surprised as well to see that Sun doesn't put out Java API documentation for SO6 on this website. After all, this is the #1 source for Java technology...

  • Can i create more than one attributes for the custom class created using java API

    Hello everyone,
    I have been creating class and its attributes programatically using java APIs, I want to know that is there any way to create multipal attributs for the same class in just one call of API with all the options for each attributes,
    thanks

    You can create a new class and define all of the Attributes at the time the class is created - this is the preferred way of creating classes. Use the addAttributeDefinition() method on ClassObjectDefinition. If you need to add attributes to existing classes, you can only add them one at a time (using the addAttribute() method on ClassObject).

    I assume here that your application is deployed on a different physical machine of where LCES is deployed and running.
    Do the following test:
    - Say that LCES is deployed on machine1 and your application is deployed on machine2. Ping machine1 from machine2 and note the ip address.
    - Ping machine1 from machine1 and note the ip address.
    The two pings should match.
    - Ping machine2 from machine1 and note the ip address.
    - Ping machine2 from machine2 and note the ip address.
    The two pings should match.
    Usually this kind of error would happen if your servers have internal and external ip addresses.

  • Java API for running entire ".sql" files on a remote DB ( mySQL or Oracle)?

    Hi,
    Would anyone happen to know if there's a java API for executing entire ".sql" files (containing several different SQL commands), on a remote database server ?
    It's enough if the API works with MySQL and/or Oracle.
    Just to demonstrate what i'm looking for:
    Suppose you've created sql file "c:/test.sql" with several script lines:
    -- test.sql:
    insert into TABLE1 values(3,3);
    insert into TABLE1 values(5,5);
    create table TABLE2 (name VARCHER) ENGINE innoDB; -- MYSQL specific
    Then the java API should look something like:
    // Dummy java code:
    String driver="com.mysql.jdbc.Driver";
    String url= "jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/myDb";
    SomeAPI.executeScriptFile( "c:/test.sql", driver, url);
    Thanks.

    No such a API, but it's easy to parse all sqls in a file, then run those command:
    For instance:
    import java.sql.*;
    import java.util.Properties;
    /* A demo show how to load some sql statements. */
    public class testSQL {
    private final static Object[] getSQLStatements(java.util.Vector v) {
