Drawing Diagonal Line

Hi All,
I am new to flex.
Can anybody please guide in how to draw a diagonal line in
flex?
Regards,
Gopal

Hi KTBusy  ,
You can use image to display diagonal lines (make sure you use .png format so that background remains transparent). Now on top of that use transparent toggle button or push button for alerts or populating values (what ever you want). This will give you the functionality you might be looking for.
Good Luck & keep Posting.

    Hi B,
    as u have the dimension of  the box..so create a box in paint as bmp.....with digonals as u required.....
    upload this image thru SE78...and call it in ur script.......
    and superimpose that graphic on the text box....

  • Drawing a diagonal line?

    Hello,
    This seems like a silly question but does anyone know how to draw a diagonal line that has on-click functionality to input data as well as value based alerts?  Raw xcelsius seems to only come with horizontal and vertical lines.  I tried using Innovista's enhanced line component but it doesn't function correctly (visibility doesn't work) and there aren't any alerts.  The reason I need diagonal lines is because I am attempting to create a very simple display where nodes are laid over a map with lines connecting them together.  Each of the nodes reflects the health of that node, and the lines reflect the health of each connection.  Any ideas?

  • How to make the diagonal line in the swing table cell?

    Hi all,
    How to make the diagonal line in the swing table cell just like the link below?
    http://61.132.17.188/webber/table.gif

    One improvement.. To get a line that is neat, use a bit of Graphics2D
        public void paintComponent(java.awt.Graphics g)
            int w = getSize().width;
            int h = getSize().height;
            // draw a line between (0,0) and (w,h)
            g.setColor(getForeground());
            if (strTop == null)
                strTop = "  ";
            if (strBottom == null)
                strBottom = "  ";
                java.awt.Graphics2D g2 = (java.awt.Graphics2D)g;
              g2.setRenderingHint(java.awt.RenderingHints.KEY_ANTIALIASING,java.awt.RenderingHints.VALUE_ANTIALIAS_ON);
              //g2.setStroke(new java.awt.BasicStroke(14.0f));
            g.drawLine(0, 0, w, h);
            //the following lines will draw the two strings,
            //one above the top of the line and the above below it.
            g2.drawString(strTop, (w/2)+2, (h/2)-2);
            g2.drawString(strBottom, 2, (h / 2) + 2);
            //the x,y for drawString are only based on assumption.   //do necessary changes to suit ur needs.
        }Then create a TableCellRenderer and set it to the Table Header for ur table's 1st row.....
    Cheers

  • How to draw Cross LIne?

    Hi All,
    in my report i need to draw a cross line i.e diagnally.
    How to draw that?
    Thanks ,
    Saravanakumar

    Hello Saravanakumar,
    You could insert an OLE Object > Create New > MS Word Document (or MS Excel Worksheet), draw your diagonal line and insert into the report. As well the OLE Object could be inserted into a section that then underlays the following sections if you require this line to appear across fields.

  • Mid 2010 Macbook Pro diagonal lines on boot screen

    My Macbook Pro has developed this strage issue. The boot screen has distorted diagonal lines all over it, and it will hang on this boot screen.
    Sometimes I can get it to boot by starting in safe mode (it will still give me the distorted diagonal lines) it will then go through it's process and then go to sleep (only if the power cable is not attached). Then I will hold down the power button to turn it off, and then turn it on again, at which point it boots up normally. That said, this doesn't work every time, and is a 30min process with each attempt.
    Has anyone else ever seen this issue before?

    Unfortunately this is becoming an ongoing known problem:

    i want to draw a horizontal line after end of the main window table node. i mean after printing all the line items of the table, I need to print one horizontal line.
    Could you please help me how to resolve this issue.
    FYI: I tried with the below two options. But no use.
    1. desinged footer area in the table node of the main window.
    2. tried with uline and system symbols.
    please correct me if i am wrong. please explain in detail how to draw horizontal line after end of the main window table.
    this is very urgent.

    Hello Valter Oliveira,
    Thanks for your answer. But I need some more detail about blank line text. i.e thrid point.
    Could you please tell me how to insert blank line text.
    1 - in your table, create a line type with only one column, with the same width of the table
    2 - in table painter, create a line under the line type
    3 - insert a blank line text in the footer section with the line type you have created.

  • IMac 8.1 3.06 GHz w/6 MB Ram, Lion and dead HD? all I get is "Gray Screen w/wirlie gig" but now for a new twist a circle with a diagonal line, like don't go. Is this a DEAD HD?

              I have a iMac 8.1 3.06 GHz w/6 MB Ram, and was running Mac OS X 10.6.8. My 500 GB WD5000AAKS was about 90% full. I had an issue with the admin password, it would not accept any of my known passwords. I ran for a while on the fingerprint reader I had, we have two users on the machine in our home. I tried many attempts to fix this problem without success I came up with a plan. That plan was a new HD, used a 2TB Samsung. plan worked like a charm. Installed a 4 GB Ram Chip and the new Samsung, formatted it, loaded Snow Leopard, and loaded what was on my Time Machine backup all was good.
              This was early July, then Lion was available I was happy with what I had, I had 1.450 TB of free space. So, what the heck, lets spring for Lion, that even went well for a not even 2 weeks, enough that I had several Time Machine backups.
               Then monitor goes flash, flash then I try a re-boot same gray screen with whirlie gig that I had when the the HD in my MacBook Pro died. Put the old 500 GB WD back in and all was fine, ran for a day. It was OK except back to no password and full. Went down to my local computer shops here in Rayong Thailand and sprung for a New 2 TB WDXXX, put that in, used my Snow Leopard disk to format and load OS X 10.6.8. I though that all was good, the load from Time Machine was slow and the time remaining was changing all the time, took about 3 hrs for about 300 MB that where on the LaCie.
              Now I have a password issue, however it asks for a password reset that it will NOT take and I don’t even get that now. All I get is the infamous “Gray Screen w/wirlie gig” but now for a new twist a circle with a diagonal line, like don’t go. Is this a DEAD HD? I plan to re-install the old 500GB just to systems check and if all is well I will take the “NEW” 2 TB WD back for replacement. I am thinking that I should put the new HD in and format and load Snow Leopard then up date to Lion then do my Time Machine backup. The only problem is does the circle with the diagonal line mean something more? If so how does one recover Lion with no disk if that is what I need to do. Yes, I have tried control “R” on boot, nadda, no response, “mai dee” no good. Ideas, please.

    I have an iMac 8, 1 that I upgraded Leopard to Snow Leopard.  It was totally updated with the latest from Apple when I bought and tried installing Lion.  The upgrade failed, shot my OS and I couldn't boot.  Had the constant spinner on a grey screen..  did a format of the drive, hdd repair and everything came back clean... got back to Snow Leopard and all the updates on it again and then retried the Lion thing... same bs... dead duck.  Crashed my system one too many times.  I can't see where a few small changes, mostly app related can be classified as an OS upgrade and is not compatible with my iMac.  I have the stuff running on my Mac Pro but have yet to notice anything impressive.  I've always used F3 and really didn't require Mission Control.  Just open you app folder for launch pad... duh?  I use the hot corners anyhow.  As far as Safari is concerned... as a power user, Apple missed the boat on that for me.. full screen etc.. Wow.  I don't like the new Mail either..
    As you can see/read, I'm less than impressed with this release from Apple but I own so many of their products that I will have to put up with it for now... somehow the MS logo should apply to this release Steve.

  • Here are my last 3 duke dollars.  Can someone please help me draw a line?

    I have been BEATING my head on this for well over a week now. I'm new to Java2D and I cannot find even one example of this simple little thing that I am trying to do. Not one.
    All I want to do is draw an image, zoom that image, then draw some lines on that image, and then zoom it and have those lines show up where they should.
    For example, we have an image which has been zoomed. No lines are yet drawn on it.
    A line is added.
    The image is then zoomed in or out one more time.
    How do we get the line to remap to the newly zoomed image?
    What I am doing is:
    0) Load up an image from a file.
    1) Create a zoomed image by using the Image.getScaledInstance() method.
    2) Create a BufferedImage with the width and height of the image AFTER the zoom has taken place.
    3) Create a Graphics2D object by the createGraphics from this BufferedImage.
    4) Place the image into the BufferedImage by doing a BufferedImage.drawImage
    5) Select two points to be the start and end of the line.
    6) Draw the line using Graphics2D.drawLine(start.x, start.y, end.x, end.y).
    7) Zoom the image again (using the Image.getScaledInstance() method.
    8) Create a new ImageIcon using the image from above and override its paintIcon method like this:
    ImageIcon newIcon = new ImageIcon(newImage) {
    public void paintIcon(Component c, Graphics g, int x, int y)
    super.paintIcon(c, g, x, y);
    zoom(); //<---- ZOOM call
    Now in the zoom routine, what do I need to do to get the lines to draw at the proper location and size?
    Remember, the points of the lines (stored in a list as home grown line objects) are in screen coordinates, not image coordinates since they are just click points
    Note that when I use these points to draw a line, all is well (the line gets drawn where it should), but I have problems when I zoom the image.
    Thanks!

    Below is the documentation and method signature of
    Graphics.drawImage(Image img, int dx1, int dy1, int dx2, int dy2, int sx1, int sy1, int sx2, int sy2, ImageObserver observer);The important thing to note is that it does scaling on the fly if the size dictated by the source co-ordinates is defferent than the size dictated by the destination co-ordinates. The source image is always left un-touched.
    So basically your visual data is located in an offscreen image. You can draw a line on that. Then create a new image, get it's graphics and call drawImage(original_image, co-ordinates that cause it to scale how you like).
    Then you can draw lines on the 2nd image, create a 3rd, ...etc
         * Draws as much of the specified area of the specified image as is
         * currently available, scaling it on the fly to fit inside the
         * specified area of the destination drawable surface. Transparent pixels
         * do not affect whatever pixels are already there.
         * <p>
         * This method returns immediately in all cases, even if the
         * image area to be drawn has not yet been scaled, dithered, and converted
         * for the current output device.
         * If the current output representation is not yet complete then
         * <code>drawImage</code> returns <code>false</code>. As more of
         * the image becomes available, the process that draws the image notifies
         * the specified image observer.
         * <p>
         * This method always uses the unscaled version of the image
         * to render the scaled rectangle and performs the required
         * scaling on the fly. It does not use a cached, scaled version
         * of the image for this operation. Scaling of the image from source
         * to destination is performed such that the first coordinate
         * of the source rectangle is mapped to the first coordinate of
         * the destination rectangle, and the second source coordinate is
         * mapped to the second destination coordinate. The subimage is
         * scaled and flipped as needed to preserve those mappings.
         * @param       img the specified image to be drawn
         * @param       dx1 the <i>x</i> coordinate of the first corner of the
         *                    destination rectangle.
         * @param       dy1 the <i>y</i> coordinate of the first corner of the
         *                    destination rectangle.
         * @param       dx2 the <i>x</i> coordinate of the second corner of the
         *                    destination rectangle.
         * @param       dy2 the <i>y</i> coordinate of the second corner of the
         *                    destination rectangle.
         * @param       sx1 the <i>x</i> coordinate of the first corner of the
         *                    source rectangle.
         * @param       sy1 the <i>y</i> coordinate of the first corner of the
         *                    source rectangle.
         * @param       sx2 the <i>x</i> coordinate of the second corner of the
         *                    source rectangle.
         * @param       sy2 the <i>y</i> coordinate of the second corner of the
         *                    source rectangle.
         * @param       observer object to be notified as more of the image is
         *                    scaled and converted.
         * @return   <code>true</code> if the current output representation
         *           is complete; <code>false</code> otherwise.
         * @see         java.awt.Image
         * @see         java.awt.image.ImageObserver
         * @see         java.awt.image.ImageObserver#imageUpdate(java.awt.Image, int, int, int, int, int)

  • Diagonal line on SSRS line chart

    Hi all,
    I'm struggling with a charting issue that I was hoping someone here might be able to help with - I've looked through various blogs without success. I need to insert a diagonal line running the full width of a line chart, representing the linearly increasing
    target value over a month. The actual data will then be a secondary series on the same vertical axis, showing progress against the target based on today's data.
    This report has several limitations that I should emphasise before someone says "Well, why can't you just generate the target data in the SQL query?". It's for Dynamics CRM Online, so the only type of data source and query allowed is FetchXML.
    I can't even use a simple SQL query that returns constant values, let alone an actual SQL DB query. It also doesn't seem to be possible to have any custom code in the report, which makes it even more frustrating. FetchXML is just not set up to do things like
    return constant values in a query, or return a dataset which is the set of days in the current month.
    What I do have is two datasets, one of which returns the actual data, which I've used as the first series in the table, and a second dataset that returns a single value that represents the target for the month. There's no way, as far as I'm aware, to cross-join
    that with a set of dates and then use a calculated field in the dataset to turn it into a linear series.
    I've set the min and max values of the X-axis to show me all dates, and my initial solution to the problem was to have a horizontal line at the target value, as shown below (red dotted line). However, I've been asked to change that to the solid red diagonal
    line as shown:
    Series 1 (Total order value) is the RunningValue of the daily order values, summed across the dates.
    Series 1 data looks something like this:
    [Date] [Order Value]
    1 Mar 100
    3 Mar 20
    3 Mar 35
    24 Mar 400
    Series 2 data just has
    [Target Name] [Target Value]
    Sales Target 25000
    Does anyone have ideas on how I can do this? I'm happy to take any suggestions; the line doesn't have to be interactive or be an action, so it could even be rendered directly onto the chart, if that's possible. The only limitation is that it needs to be
    viewed on screen, and be printable. I'd prefer some sort of elegant approach that allows me to do it as two series on the same chart, but frankly at this point I'm beyond caring how it's done - so long as it works, it can be held together with chewing gum
    and string.

    Hi Anuruddha,
    When you want to see the diagonal line, you should divide the target value with number of values in x-axis,
    let say Month March  has 31 days, your target is 25000
    then 25000/31=806.4516129032258
    But to do dynamic you need to get the number of days in month
    =day(DateAdd("d",-1,DateAdd("M",1,cdate(cstr(Month(First(Fields!workday.Value, "DataSet3")) )+"/01/" + cstr(Year(First(Fields!workday.Value, "DataSet3")))))))
    Create another series like below shown:-
    a Above expression  :-
    = (Sum(Fields!target.Value, "DataSet2")/ (day(DateAdd("d",-1,DateAdd("M",1,cdate(cstr(Month(First(Fields!workday.Value, "DataSet3")) )+"/01/" + cstr(Year(First(Fields!workday.Value, "DataSet3")))))))))*Fields!id.Value
    Run the report:-
    Orange Line is yours previously, Red Line is what you want.
    I am doing calculation in series, so there is no problem for you as you can't write SQL query.
    Below is the RDL code , which will help you to check the expressions.

    I have no idea what JTutor is, but if it tells you to override paint() in Swing, it's not worth its disk space.
    [http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/painting/closer.html] clearly says that for all practical purposes paintComponent will be the only method that you will ever need to override.
