Dreamweaver will not launch.... HELP!!!!

I cannot get dreamweaver mx 2004 to launch... I've had the
program for a long time and have never had issues with it until
yesterday... I uploaded a site, everything worked fine... Turned my
pc off, tried to launch dreamweaver and nothing. Restarted pc tried
to launch again, and this time I got "dreamweaver has encountered
an unexpected error and needs to close". Same exact thing
tonight... Tried most of the suggestions from the tech notes and
nothing has worked.... Any ideas?????

    I have installed all the CC applications and all are ok except for Dreamweaver CC, it will not launch.  I am using OSX10.9. I have tried to turn Prevent App Nap off but can't because it is greyed out. Any help would be appreciated.

    I am a dummy so please do not give me solutions that are too complicated or at least use terminology that is for dummies.
    Purchased CS3. Did not install it on any computer.
    Bought new computer.
    Installed CS3.
    Think I registered, can't remember 'cause I am a dummy.
    Two months later stupid Vista needed to be completely re-installed.
    Installed CS3 (because my hard drive was wiped clean and Vista was re-installed).
    Registered because it asks me to when I first opened it.
    Dreamweaver will not open. (photoshop etc. does)
    What do I need to do (besides getting a new brain)?

    I have to say I am impressed.
    A call this morning had me speaking to someone who was friendly without being condescending as some men (in my experience, I can't speak for anyone else) are when talking tech to women.
    Unfortunately he could not solve the problem and asked if I could call back while he looked up the solution. I called back and again I was speaking with someone repsectful and friendly. Again the problem could not be solved, but he forwarded my call to a "Dreamweaver specialist."
    This person, also friendly, helped me with an Acer patch and now the program opens. How thankful am I? Very. I was panicking inside at the thought of having to go back, even temporarily, to hand-coding html and css. Phew.

    You music etc should not be affected by problems with the iTunes program, nevertheless it is always a good idea to backup your data.
    You haven't said if there was any error message when you tried to start iTunes. If  there was one please give it in full.
    Also check to see if QuickTime works, iTunes can not work without it. If QuickTime doesn't work, it has to be fixed before worrying about iTunes.
    Then restart your PC and open your Task manger and select the Processes tab.
    Try to start iTunes, does iTunes.exe appear on the processes tab? If so does it disappear again or remain although the programs does not open?

  • Apple programs, Help, Mail, iTunes, Safari, Quicktime will not launch.

    Recently we downloaded some upgrades from Apple and now Help, Mail, iTunes, Safari and Quicktime will not launch.   • Itunes 7.0 will not launch!  HELP!!!

    I too am having the same problem. It's odd: I click on itunes.exe (either shortcut or from the iTunes directory), and through task manager I can see the iTunes process start for a split second before disappearing and then nothing – no error messages, nothing.
    The first time I click the link, I can hear my hard drive whirring away as it normally does when starting an app, but once it fails to start, subsequent clicks on iTunes.exe fail to provoke anything from the PC (running XP Pro).
    I have tried various options found on these discussion pages such as:
    - repair install
    - uninstalling Quicktime and reinstalling stand alone QT
    - uninstalling Quicktime and installing 'alternate' QT
    - turning off anti-virus apps (I use AVG)
    - turning off windows firewall (mind you, if it had then worked after having both of the above turned off; I don't think I'd use it anyway...)
    Grateful if anybody has any solutions; I was really pleased with the jukebox-style artwork viewer of the previous-most-recent iTunes, and I have rarely had troubles before. Have Apple dropped the ball on this one?

    I have no answers for ya, but I do have the same problem, so we are not alone in this.
    My iTunes stopped working after I did a couple of software updates that got my iTunes up to v. 11.4. Since that update, I can't get iTunes to open at all, neither from my dock nor from the Applications menu.
    I'm wondering: Perhaps these latest iTunes updates are simply too advanced for my 10.6.8 operating system? If that's the case, how can I backtrack to an earlier version of iTunes that is compatible with my computer OS?
    Any thoughts?

  • Safari will not launch- any help would be greatly appreciated

    This past week my safari began to fail to launch. It worked fine monday, on my friends home wireless. However when we booted it up Tuesday at our home-also wireless- it would not open. All other internet access works fine-ie ichat, itunes etc., but we can't get it to open with anything. When you click the icon it bounces as it were about to launch but never gets the black carrot under it. I opened the system activity monitor, and it also does not show it launching. I attempted to reinstall it using the number 2 setup disk, but that didn't seam to make a difference. It also will not launch if clicking on a saved html file nor on a hyperlink.... I tried moving the safari file folder and preferences file out of the library onto the desktop and restarting it(I had read that on a different post) but that had no effect...As I am used to working on a plain old IBM computer I'm not sure how else to trouble shoot the mac as its my girlfriends... any help would be greatly appreciated as we can't access the internet on hers to even download netscape or internet explorer

    Your steps so far are OK but you may want to try:
    1 Trash your user library Caches folder (House Icon with short name in Finder window (hard drive window)GOTO:House icon > Library folder > caches folder
    2 Trash the com.apple.Safari.plist file in User library > preferences folder > Safari.plist as well as removing the library Safari folder its self.
    3 you can selectivly re-install Safari 2.0 from your OS Tiger Install disk 1, (see Knowledge base article 301229 for how to just select the Safari Application) without doing a complete system Archive and Install.
    4. Create a new Test user account on the system and test how Safari responds in the Test user, see if its a user related issue and not system issue.
    5. Still no Safari response? have to do an Archive and install (not preserving user and network settings)article 107120
    PS. Issue may be related to actual internet connection connectivity, power cycle cable modem and router or airport if using one as well as the computer(keep unplugged for 3-5 min) and plug the cable modem in and then the router/airport then power on the computer. Do the Airport Admin utiliy (applications, utilities on HD_1)update.
    - do a hard reset of airport knowledge base article 108044(Express base) and 107451 (Extreme base)
    - Check with internet provider for connection issues "cannot find server" ect.

    I'm running Win7, i7 precessor, plenty of RAM. I've purchased/upgraded from Elements/Premier 9,10,11 without issue..Since upgrading to Elements 12 the software opens sporatically at best. I've spent 15+hr's and $60.00 with Adobe Support and still not resolved. Cannot open PremierElements or Lightroom 5 either. Here's what happens..I click on the icon and the timer spins for 5 or 6 seconds and stops. This happens most often after my computer re-boots for maintenance. I've changed the permissions and thought it was fixed but after a week the same thing happens..I've unistalled and reinstalled more times then you can imagine.
    I do appreciate any help you can offer..works fine on my laptop runnning Win8
