Drop Down Menu Advice

I was wondering if anyone could give some advice as to how I could use drop down menus to switch between 50 different indicators and charts.
So I am building a program to monitor 50 motors. Right now, I have a program (attached) that can monitor one motor. I want to use a drop down menu to select which motor info (out of 50) I can see at a certain time. Selecting from the drop down menu should update all buttons/ indicators/ charts associated with the motor selected. I would also like the motors that aren't visible, but have been selected (with a boolean called Start End Data Collecting) to collect data in the background.
Right now, there is a subVI called Main Station that controls everything needed for one motor. I'm not sure how I'd expand this to 50. The Main Station subVI is in a while loop (while loop is part of main VI) which collects data from a daq on every loop. The Main Station is a case structure that runs or stops if the ON OFF boolean is switched (like a state machine). So all the motors switched to ON should run and collect data even if they aren't visible/selected on the front panel.
Here is a view of the front panel.
As you can see, there are four sections for the indicators/controls and two sections for the charts. Each section will/has a drop down menu. Each menu has a selection of 50 motors (labeled Motor 1, Motor 2,... Motor 50).
I would like the information in the indicators/ chart to show info specific to the selected motor, while the program updates the other motors (that are set to data collection) to continue collecting data. The only data stored is in the charts, but I would also like the controls to remain selected (even if not visible on the front panel) if a user selected them.

Once I started looking at subpanels, that opened up a lot of other discussions about problems similar to mine. In case someone finds their way to this post, here are two links that discuss the topic more. I didn't realize they existed because subpanel was the key word when searching for info on problem and I didn't know subpanels existed (how to search for info on something you don't know about? wish I knew haha).

Time Capsule appears twice in Airport drop down menu

Menu Bar > Airport drop-down menu: My Time Capsule's wireless name shows up twice in my list of wifi sources. Once in the group with all the other routers and again in a group called "Devices".
Long story short…
I start with a perfectly functional, WPA/WPA2 password-protected Time Capsule: Over a year old. Two MbP's using it for Time Machine backup. Connected to a 1.5TB MyBook external HD via usb. Doubles as my wifi router. Everything's connected to it, including my wifi-enabled printer. Works great. No issues.
I get this idea in my head that I need to hide my wifi signal. I figure it out and ¡Viola! Hidden. Then I try to add my wifi-enabled printer to the list of allowed devices in "Access Control". I hit a big snag and can't figure out how to get it to connect (btw, don't buy a Brother printer. Pure crap). So, I give up and revert permissions back to visible, password-protected state.
Skipping irrelevant issues that I already resolved, I now have the wireless name of my Time Capsule appearing twice in the airport drop down menu. It appears with all the other wifi sources my machine detects AND appears at the bottom under a new category called "Devices".
All I want is to have things back the way they were and this anomaly in the drop down menu is a constant reminder that I #1 failed and #2 bought a crap printer.
(Long story long, I guess. Sorry.) How do I delete this "Devices" group from the airport drop down menu?

How can I get rid of "History and Bookmarks" section from the search history drop down menu in safari 6.0.2?

Let's just say I have saved bookmarks of things that i do NOT want my friends to see when they use my computer occasionally. I know they could go and find these bookmarks anyway in the bookmarks menu but they dont snoop around my computer. i would rather it not just pop up when they go to search for something or type in a webpage. If there is no way to customize what shows up in the drop down menu for search results then that is something apple overlooked. Not everybody wants things all in one place. Whats the point of deleting search history and website history if its just going to show the certain things you have bookmarked? Any solution to this would be appreciated. One solution i thought would work was disabling search from suggesting, but i guess that only supresses the webpages not the url/search bar. Oh and this is for safari 6.0.2 please dont give me outdated advice.

Drop Down Menu going up in IE 8- HELP!

I'm new to using the spry widgets in CS3 Dreamweaver, and I'm trying to create my first horizontal menu where one of the items will have a drop down menu. It works in all browsers except for IE8, where it starts at the top of the page and goes down. I've tried adjusting the css for this in a few different ways based on some of the forums I've read, but I still can't get it to work. Could someone look at the css code (below), and let me know how to fix this. Any assistance or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Much!!!

Problems with flash transparent drop down menu over html in some browsers

Hi everyone... this is my first post and it's about an issue
that's causing me a few problems.
I'm currently designing/ building my company's web site, the

1) This layout contains an embeded flash movie (.swf) with a
transparent background, this is the main navigation.
The flash navigation has a drop down menu that animates down
and covers the html page (containing links) below.
The problem is that in most current browsers such as; Firefox
2.0.05 (links below template don't work), Netscape 8.1.3
(navigation drop down and links don't work) and Opera 9.10 (links
below template don't work), any links just below the 'invisible'
transparent area coverd by the navigation can't be clicked 'through
the flash file'. The exception is IE 7.0, everything is fine there.
(it hasn't been tested in any mac browsers though).
Because the area below the navigation on
www.kitachi.info/work is one large dummy jpeg file, the link below
would be a much better example to look at.

The flash navigation is embedded in the html (tlp) template
file using the code below and aligned using an external style
(.css) sheet, this html code not only embeds the flash movie but it
also tells the browser to display it's background and as
transparent. The flash movie is embedded in a layer that sits above
the table.

Does anybody know of any code that can solve this problem or
know a different way of creating a flash navigation with a drop

We won't be able to put the address from a formula into the same cell that you enter the customer's name. We can put the address in the cell under the customers name.
First let's take James advice and concatenate the address in the address table.
Here is the formula in G2

It shows this way because after I clicked on B2 and typed [&"] (no brackets) I typed option-return
This gives you your new line. Then I typed the closing ". I repeated this for the rest of the address.
Next we want to bring this to your order sheet. I prefer using the two formulas OFFSET and MATCH instead of VLOOKUP.
base tells OFFSETwhere to start counting from. Click A1.
row-offset is for the row. we will use MATCH() -1 to give us the row.
What MATCH does is give you the row number where something is found and you can specify an exact match. I usually construct the MATCH formula first and then cut and paste it into OFFSET. MATCH looks like this: MATCH(A2,Table 1::A,0). A2 is what we are looking for, Table 1A::A is where we are looking (the entire column A), and 0 means we want an exact match. Can you see it inside the OFFSET formula? Notice that we had to subtract 1 from its result.
column-offset tells OFFSET which column A=0 so we want 6.
we ignore "rows", "colomns" we don't need them.
If this seems like too much, just break it down into small pieces.

Speaker drop down menu in itunes is not there.

I have airport express and set up airtunes, but itunes does not have a drop down menu to pick which speakers to play through. There seems to be no support docs on this. The airtunes setup page makes it sound like, hey, no problem, just choose the speakers from the drop down menu in the bottom right of itunes. But it just ain't there, and there is no advice on how to make it work. The airtunes instructions are very lame. It works great for the Internet, and all the software is up to date. I've rebooted, restarted itunes, and airport express. No go. They made it sound so great when I bought airport express.

My folders aren't showing up in my bookmark list or the drop down menu when I bookmark a site. Please advise!

I just created a bunch of folders to organize my bookmarks. When I try to bookmark a page and put it in the appropriate folder, none of my folders appear in the drop-down menu. Thanks for any advice you can provide. ~cayugakate

Turns out they were showing up, just all the way at the bottom of my list of bookmarks. I just couldn't see them. If you go to "Bookmarks"->"Organize Bookmarks" and then play around in there with highlighting on "Bookmarks Menu" you should be able to figure it out. Otherwise you just have to move them up to the top individually. Hope that helps! ~Kate

Top Navigation Bar drop down menu's do not work. It is only happening on a couple of my site collections and is affecting on the main page of those collections. There is only one web part on the main page, it is the Picture Library Slideshow web part. When
I remove that web part, the menu's come back and work with no problem. I re-add the web part and the menu's stop working. Not finding any error's in the server logs, there are no visual error's thrown. Any advice on what might be happening? I've checked
the Java update on our computers and it has the latest version. Open to any advice at this point.

How does the Top Navigation Bar dropdown menu issue look like?
Could you please provide a screenshot about the issue, also may detecte the problematic elements by using IE browser developer tool (keyboard F12)?
Please also check if it is related IE compatibility issue.

Flash file is covering my drop down menu

please help. I've created a horizontal drop down navigation
in fireworks 8 and imported it into dreamweaver mx - i also have a
flash file just under my navigation. my problem is that when i view
my html document my my flash file is covering up my drop down menu.
Any advice??? Thanks in advance!

All Active content on a page will always rise to the top, so
to speak,
including Flash, certain form elements, Java applets, and
Active X controls.
This means that each of these will poke through layers. There
is not a good
cross-browser/platform reliable way to solve this issue, but
if you can be
confident in your visitors using IE 5+ or NN6+, then you can
use the Flash
wmode parameter (however, Safari does not support this
properly!).

Creating a Drop Down Menu Attached to Existing Rovvover Menu Buttons

I am working on a website, and I was wondering if one can create a drop down menu for existing buttons. I looked over directions for adding drop down menus for iWeb (http://iwebfaq.org/site/iWebTeardown.html) but wondered how difficult it would be to connect them to the rollover buttons that I am already using in my menu bar.

In iWeb you use the HTML Snippet to paste the code for the dropdownmenu.
You have to find the code first.

Populate a table field from selection made from drop down menu

Hello all,
I'm having a bit of head scratching problem that i just can't get my head around. I'm using Dreamweaver CS4
and phpmyadmin for my site.
I have a form that inputs a record into a table in my database.
The form is a user picking a fantasy sports team. A user selects a player from a drop down menu.
The players name is got from a recordset that accesses the player database, with the values coming
from the id field and the values from the name, so a user selects a player by there name and not
there unique id value. The code for this is as follows:

What i'm trying to achieve is that when a user selects a player from the drop down menu, their price is displayed in the table cell next to the menu. The value is held in the same table of database as the names and id values. I need to do it so the page doesn't need to be refreshed so i assume i need to use some sort of javascript, php and/or maybe ajax. However with java and ajax i have very little or no experience so i'm not really sure what i'm doing. I've been on numerous forums, looked in text books and have been searching the net for hours but i can't seem to solve this problem.
Any help or advice would really be appreciated as i just can't seem to get my head around it,

One way of doing it is submitting the form on change of the selected value and fetch back the query results. Have a servlet invoke the method and set the results in the request.
Another way (not recommended) is to fetch the results corresponding to all the values in the dropdown and have it in the session. The latter solution would obviously be slow.

Drop-down menu cut off by Flash component

Hi,
I am using Flash CS3.
I have a drop-down menu and a Flash component immediately
below it. When I hover over the menu item, it opens downwards but
gets cut off by the Flash component.
This doesn't happen if I replace the Flash component with a
picture.
Any advice what could be done will be much
appreciated.

Adding parameter wmode="transparent" to both Flash parameter
tags and embed tag solved this issue for me.
