Drop down menu trouble

I am trying to fix a slight problem with our company website.
The drop down menu along the top will not work in IE, but it does
work in Firefox. The url is www.citadelap.com. What do I need to
change in order for this to work?

That solution is like putting bandaids on a surgical
incision. I certainly
wouldn't bother with it consdering that you will still have a
dog of a menu
that is not spiderable and not accessable.
It would be much better to use a good, best-practice menu

Horizontal drop down menu trouble

Hello,
I am trying to make a horizontal drop down menu which is
located at the top of my page, right on top of an
image.(www.citadelap.com/index_copy(2).htm). I have my code working
in IE when it is on it's own page, without the image, etc.

I have quickly looked at your markup and found too many problems to discuss here. What I have found so far
There is no DOCTYPE
SpryMenuBarHorizontal is doubled up
There is extensive use of absolute position where it is not neccessary

The bookmarks in my drop-down menu do not appear when I try to "organize bookmarks". When I try to bookmark a page, the folders in the drop-down menu do not appear as choices.

The trouble started when I transferred applications from my old computer. When I click "bookmarks", all my bookmarks are there. When I try to "Organize Bookmarks", it acts like I have no bookmarks. When I try to "Bookmark this page", it does not show all the folders that are in the drop-down menu. There are a number of bookmark files in the appdata\mozilla\firefox\profiles area, none of which are complete. I tried a backup and restore in the organize menu and a backup was created, but I don't know what was backed up. I suspect nothing was backed up. When I clicked a restore, nothing happened.

I'm not familiar with Windows 7, but... is it possible there is a permissions problem with your profile folder, or read-only set on any database files?

Simple Drop Down Menu buttons not working

I'm having a bit of trouble getting a button in a hoover over drop down menu to link to another scene in the .swf movie. I just doing a basic drop down menu (example here: http://www.flashkit.com/tutorials/Interactivity/Navigation/Drop_dow-Phlook-951/index.php) with a couple of buttons with in a movie clip, the movie clip being the "button" someone hoovers over. The buttons however are not going to the corrisponding scene I have them set up to. What's strange is that if I set in the buttons action panel to go to an url instead of a scene, in the .swf movie the button works when I click it...it wants to go the specificed url. Nothing happens when it's set to go to a scene. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the reply Ned. The code I'm using on the buttons is the same method I'm using for the regular buttons (i.e. not with in a movie clip).

I like and appreciate the idea on keeping it with in the same timeline, but that didn't work either. This is all very strange, because as I said, the buttons that are not with in a movie clip work with that method in their action panel. And the buttons with in the movie clip work out to an url, just not a scene or frame number.
I'm using CS4, but I'm not sure which 'Publish' settings I should have it at, and on 'Profile' it's set to 'Flash CS3 Settings (it's either that or 'Flash 5 Settings').

Look, I understand I still need a card attached to the account. The problem is, it won't accept my card because I only have 87 cents in my bank account right now.
If I had known there would be so much trouble with the iTunes card, I would have just put the cash in my bank account in the morning instead of buying an iTunes card (I didn't expect the banks to be open on Thanksgiving of course).
Apple will only accept cards that have a balance. The balance is so small in my account that it won't accept it as a valid card.
I'm going to have to contact Apple anyway to reset the security questions. That's obvious. Your answers were not exactly helpful. You didn't tell me anything I don't already know, but thanks for trying to be helpful.

Show/hide fields when selecting an option from a drop-down menu.

I have a question about creating a Java Script withing Acrobat pro. This is what i would like to do: I created a drop-down menu with several selection entries. Upon the customer making one of the selection entries, i would like for the correct fields that i created to become visible and all other fields to hide. Is this even possible to do? The reasoning behind this is because we have a form that customers have to generate in order to request access to certain financial accounts; we have over 20 different types of accounts and for each instance the customer has to fill out the same form. By creating a drop down menu, i can use the same form by just changing the drop-down selection and clicking on the designated fields for that selection. At this time i have over 20 different forms that poing to 20 different account requests and i would hate to send the form 20 different times to one person. The reason i can not add all fields desired for all accounts is due to the fact that the form would be filled with hundreds of checkmarks and instructions thus making the process too tideous for the customer. Hope you guys can help out.

The good news is, it can be done (and it has been done).
There are a few things to be aware of, however.
The most important is that the form must be planned well, which means that you must think carefully about your logic and even more so about your field naming (hierarchical field names are your friend). One fundamental issue, you have to be aware of, is that this form no longer will be a "standard form". The consequence of this is that you may have to be aware that you might get into trouble when you have to prove that your user filled out that particular standard form (talk to your compliance and forms management people about that).
You also may have to decide whether the form should be usable in Reader. And, if so, how much you want to spend on the right to do so. You will see below why…
There are actually two approaches for dynamically showing/hiding parts of a form. If your form can be separated between a fixed first page (where you also have the account type selection), and a variable part (depending on the selection), you could use Templates, which you spawn according to the selection, and delete pages when you change the selection. This approach is very easy to implement, but requires Reader Extensions Server to allow it to work in Reader; Acrobat Pro's extended rights are not sufficient for that.
The other approach is showing/hiding fields. If you did your homework well, it would be very easy to first hide all subsequent fields, and then show the ones you need in two lines of code. This approach does not require extended rights for Reader at all, as long as your forms will always have the same number of pages, for each of your account types. This approach also works for the cases where the differences between the individual forms are very small. It does also work for showing/hiding bigger chunks of the form. In that case, you might create the "background" separately, and then put it as an icon into a button field which you will show/hide together with the carefully placed on top of it active fill-out fields.
There is a third possibility, which Adobe Propaganda probably would suggest, and that woudl be subforms in LiveCycle Designer. The consequence is, however, that you won't have PDF forms, but proprietary XFA forms instead. And you may have more developing and maintenance work than with the other approaches.
Back to your original question: you could use a Keystroke script evaluating event.changeEx of the combo box field. Depending on that, you would run your action to set up the according form part. The other way to do it would be evaluating event.value in the onBlur event. The latter would have the advantage that the selection has been made, and you get a bit more time to set up the form (this may in fact be an issue, particularly with Acrobat 9 and 10, which may take their time to show/hide fields).
Another possibility instead of a drop down (combo box field) would be a popup, where you would have a button to press, and the list of selections pops up. This second method uses app.popUpMenuEx().

For the last few weeks, my (mid-2007) iMac, with10.7.5 Lion, has been experiencing "freezes". It typically happens when
I'm mousing over an item in a drop-down menu. I then can't quit or restart unless I use the power button. In safe-boot mode,
it doesn't seem to happen, but that disables the built-in speakers, and more. Tech tools and disk utility find no troubles. Any ideas?

Mobile Drop-Down Menu

By now we all know that we can put a Vertical Menu in an Accordion Widget and get a drop-down menu for our Phone layouts.
But! there is trouble with this method when the phone layout is one long page and the links are to Anchors on the same page. When this is the case, touching a link takes the guest to the appropriate part of the page; but!, the menu remains open.
Maybe we need a special menu just for mobile layouts. This menu could incorporate the features of the accordion menu, but would close after a link is touched.

I had this same trouble.
Necessary Settings:
Location Services on. Weather Location services on (both in Privacy Settings)
Today Summary on (in Notification Center Settings)
You need to use the weather application at least once post ios 7 download so it can sync with your location. Make sure you have it set on your current location and not another city.
If it still doesn't show up, go back into the notification center settings and turn today summary off and then on again.
Your weather should show as written summary under the date and time

Firefox addresses in navigation bar are missing/replaced by different drop-down menu

When I type in an address, the drop-down menu no longer contains the same list of addresses as always. Instead, there is a list of locations (minus the actual www.com addresses beneath each one) in bold font and some of the locations are repeated on the drop-down menu but take me to a different site. Its a guessing game where Im going when I click on one. Beside each listing, there is a magnifying glass icon which was not there before. I have been searching/reading for almost 3 hours trying to trouble shoot the issue and Ive even attempted to restore to default with no luck. This is truly annoying me.. Any suggestions?

Drop down menu is a small square and no tab display.

Hey, my tab display is gone, my drop down menu's won't open, such as file, edit, view, history etc.
I have no idea what's going on, I don't want to lose my bookmarks and I can't import them into IE atm.
Any help would be great, if I have to re-install is there a manual way to get bookmarks without going into the menu bookmarks and manage/export?

I have the same trouble with Firefox v.24.0 It occurs on Windows XP, Windows 7 Pro, and Windows 7 Enterprise.
@foodie2 - your workaround definitely works and is far less painful than changing settings which could affect other sites. Great idea!

Drop Down Menu Selection - Make Other Drop Down Menus Visible

I am having some trouble with a simple if-else statement. When a certain selection is made in a drop down box, I would like two other drop down menus to appear. (At runtime, they are hidden.) The current problem is that when I try and select anything in the drop down menu, it will only allow me to select this one option. (If I try to select anything else, it reverts back to the same thing every time.) If I set the "if" statement to trigger for something else, then that option is all it will display and so on. I have made plenty of these types of scripts in other areas of this PDF, but I can't figure out why it isn't doing what I want it to now.
The "change" event is what I currently have this set to. I have also set it for the "enter" event with no change.

Drop-down menu can't merge my events iPhoto 11

I am having trouble getting the "drop down" tab to appear consistantly when I try to "merge" non-contiguous "events" in iPhoto 11.

Here's the situation I just walked through the steps again. Earlier today I was successful merging two events in my library. I selected my Event folders I wanted to merge, then clicked the 'Events' tab at the top of the page, and selected "merge events" from the drop-down. That time it worked.
Then, I just opened iPhoto again, made sure the Events was hi-lighted(side bar), selected two non-contiguous Events while holding down the 'command key', went to the top again to select the 'Events' tab, now the drop down menu does not show a "merge events". This time I was not able to merge Events.
Any suggestions or should I call customer service?

HI thanks for the reply I do not know you but dude thanks for trying to help, we are down here in Indonesia trying to save the rain forest, we are introducing the use of the coconut palm tree to ues in construction purposes, like flooring, studs etc. anyway enough of that, it will all be in the website if i can get it up, we are not trying to be cheap and do the site our selves but I need to know how to do this stuff so I can edit the site, and I really dig it.

My Bookmarks category on the toolbar has a Trojan Horse logo on four of the drop down menu items.

I have a Mac G5 desktop with OX 10.5.8. My Safari browser was hacked by TH malware, and so I deleted it because it is too old to update to Mavericks.
I am now using Firefox. I see now that the trojan is embedded in my Bookmarks bar, on the drop down menu items. I'm am having trouble resetting Firefox, nor can I get the Malwarebytes that I downloaded to open and run. I have cleared the history, cookies, cache on my computer. I have also deleted Java, MSN, and the old email Mail and its settings from the hard drive.
I'm a low-tech techie. Thank you for your ideas,

I have no idea what the trojan is / was but there have been quite a few reports of pseudo ransomware. This demands money and makes it appear that Firefox is locked up. If you are lucky and have that sort of problem it is easy to get out of.
