Duplicate check while mapping

Hello,
I have a source message with 2 fields headerID and DetailID.
The target is an IDoc structure with below snippet.
Segment E1E337
     HeaderID
      Sub-Segment E1E440
          DetailID
HeaderID and DetailID in the IDoc segments are mapped to the sources structure fields accordingly.
When there are 6 messages, I am able to see an IDoc with 6 E1E337 segments. This works fine.
I need to insert the following logic:
Check and create the segment E1E337 as long as the values of HeaderID and DetailID are unique. There should not be two E1E337 segments which have the same value for HeaderID and DetailID.
I think this needs a UDF. Can someone assist as to how this needs to be done.

I am a CRM Consultant and working on a CRM VMS integration scenario, wherein BP(End customer) is created in VMS system and this will be replicated to SAP CRM system which has duplicate check active. However we would like to perform the duplicate check within VMS System, so that it checks against existing BP records in BUT000 of VMS System.
Can you share your experience in performing the same?

Yes i understand that we can make certain fields which needs to be validated/checked during customer/bp creation process.
Example:
Customer 1 : Already exists in VMS DB.
First Name: Steve
Last name: Jobs
Mobile: 868686
Email:[email protected]
BP ID/Customer No : 100
Customer 2: Being created by user in VMS DB
First name: Steve
Last name: jobs
Mobile: 868686
Email: [email protected]
Based upon tolerance set by business, system will display a pop up with duplicate message....
User can ignore the message and continue creating new customer/bp record or user can make use of BP/customer 100......
This is how duplicate check works in the CRM System....
Note: when system tries to find the potential duplicate , it is not actually checking in CRM DB, but in TREX.....
So can we achieve similar functionality in SAP VMS System ? if yes....can you please provide config steps or any BADI or user exit ..etc.....

Service principal names (SPNs) are stored as a property of the associated account object in Active Directory
Domain Services (AD DS). I noticed that you have used setpn –X to identify the duplicate SPN. Please refer to following articles and check if help you to solve this issue.

Indexing for Business Partner Duplicate check((Manual Account Creation)

We are working on a BP de-duplication functionality in SAP CORM. We have implemented all the necessary steps for de-duplication. But, we are facing one issue while trying to initially index the data using program - 'SIC_BAS_RADII' using the following input parameters:
Field Name Entry
Object Type BUT
Object Subtype PARTNER
Index Pool Table BUT
Index Pool Field PARTNER
Service Name NORMALIZE_INDEX
Service Profile Profile defined in the configuration of the services
Once we execute this program, it keeps on running for hours. Even after that we are not getting any successful completion message or any report related to its success execution.
We also have option to index BAS_BUPA using t-code SES_ADMIN. Can this be considered as an alternative to program 'SIC_BAS_RSADRINI' ?
Please let us know where are we going wrong in our execution steps/input parameters. Anyone who has previously worked on this functionality, please help?

Hi Amit,
To run the duplicate check you first need to activate the implementations SIC_ADDRESS_SEARCH of the BAdI ADDRESS_SEARCH and SIC_ADDRESS_UPD_TREX of the BAdI ADDRESS_UPDATE.
You can search for duplicates by creating/changing a business partner only if the previous created busines partners were indexed (in TREX) aftre their saving.
1. Activate both implementations.
2. For indexing in TREX you need a RFC-destination to TREX. This RFC destination should be maintained in TA SES_ADMIN as following:
Transaction SES_ADMIN   > Goto Customizing > System Settings.
Here should you enter the RFC destination for TREX.
3. After you maintained the RFC destination for TREX, start SES_ADMIN
   Index   > Create/Activate Indexes, select BAS_BUPA and press continue
4. Before you begin to work with checking duplicates you should do an initial indexing of the already existent business partners from BUT000. Therefore you should start the Report SIC_BAS_RSADRINI with the proposed parameters.
5. After that each saved BP will be indexed and will be available for checking duplicates by the creation of new BPs.
Please check: Transaction SES_ADMIN-> TREX Admin-> Queue Administration -> Function Set Queue Parameters
Select the Queue ID .....BAS_BUPA___1
and set the parameter Replicate After Synchronize   > On.
                      Schedule Time                  All-0:01
Eventually, you can start again the report SIC_BAS_RSADRINI and after 1 minute the data will be indexed in TREX.

Context error while mapping

Hi Experts,
I am using remove context node function to map my target node.The problem is the required node in the target is in higher context than the source node. i have mapped the fields below these nodes normally.
while mapping the nodes i am using remove context function.but when testing the target node is existing only once in payload.

Please find here with you the my suggestion about it.
Look the way you had mapped the gate message and westim message based on existance of gate message, is seems to be correct.
As you have said there will be always only one either get or westim message available. So no need to do any context changes with remove context.
Make sure to add this kind of check condition for all the internal fields also.

Duplicate checking based on the content of the incoming file

Hi,
We have a requirement where in we have to check whether a file has been duplicated or not based on the contents of an incoming file.The threads which I have seen in SDN deal with the duplicate checking based on the filename of the incoming file.
The incoming file has the following structure :
Recordset                                     Occurance-1
       |....... Idoc                              Occurance 1...unbounded
                   |...... segment             Occurance 1
We are required to make a check based on certain fields which occur in the segment.There are about 4 fields which we will have to take from the incoming file and carry out the check.These 4 fields exist in different segments.We will have to update a ztable with these 4 fields and then perform an rfc lookup to check for the contents of the incoming files with this table,and reject or process the file based on whether the entries exist in the table or not.
Please let me know if there is any way this can be achieved.

Duplicate check for Contracts

Dear Gurus,
While creating Contracts, we would like to put a duplicate check for the Contracts. Currently, the system allows us to create a duplicate Contract for the same Vendor, Material, Validity period, etc.
Please suggest if there is a way to handle this critical requirement.

As per SAP standard there is no check for duplicate contracts,
But you can implement the check using the BAdi
ME_PROCESS_OUT_CUST
Typical applications for this BAdI include:
Processing of own objects
Processing of additional data on standard objects
Implementation of additional validations and derivations
Data changes in standard fields
Change in field selection (also relevant to BAPIs)
In the standard system, the BAdI is not active.
The BAdI is filter-independent and can be used multiple times.
The BAdI is released internally only
In the implementation process, use the Methods
PROCESS_HEADER
PROCESS_ITEM

Temporarily disabling Duplicate Check

All,
We're in the middle of DEMO's for our CRM 7 project in QA. Currently when we create a new customer via the Web UI, we get a long response time. After doing some analysis I noticed that when the save function is executed in the Web UI, the program /FLDQ/SAPLAD_DUPL_CHECK_SEARCH is launched in DIALOG and runs for a long-long time. It will eventually complete, but in some instances it times out.
We've elected to go with BOBJ-DQM for duplicate searches, etc, instead of using TREX. However, the DQM functionality only exists in our DEV system, not in QAS yet (long story why). In order to set an appropirate user expectation, we'd like to disable the duplicate checks in QAS temporarily while we get DQM-QA going; just for DEMO purposes. Does any one know how to do this? To me, it seems this would be configuration somewhere, by the functional guys are looking to me (BASIS) to help them out.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

To deactivate duplicate check go to spro>sap netweaver>application server>basis services>adress management>duplicate check.
There choose customazing option Activate Duplicate Check and Determine Limit for BAPIs and uncheck index for BUT000.

BP with Archive flag found in Duplicate check records

we have duplicate check fuctionality active in UI,while maitaing BP in UI ,duplicate records were found and when the same is selected to check the duplicate records ,we noticed that BPs with Archive flag active were also taken as Duplicate records and shown...
is there a way to prevent those BPs not show in Duplicate records list.

If you did not actually register it online or mail in the registration card then it is unregistered.
The result from "Check Your Service" means that no one has registered a product with the serial number you provided.
With regard to the "Tech Spec page", serial numbers can identify the type of product but not necessarily who is the owner.
Buying a product does not mean that it is registered even if it is purchased from Apple online or Apple Stores. Registration is the responsibility of the owner. You can check what products are registered for your Apple ID at My Support Profile. If your MBP is not listed, then register and add the product or go to the online registration page and register it.
Afterwards, your tech service should be able to perform the repair.

i found one BADI ADDRESS_SEARCH. But the method address_search is not getting called.
Is there any other BADI available? how can I handle this issue?

BP is BDT (Business Data toolset) enabled (you can check it by adding break point in FM BUS_PBO and executing BP transaction). You can add your check directly to standard view (the check will be executed each time when user pushes enter) or you could add you check to appropriate action (during saving etc.) there are number of actions which you could use it depends on your requirements. You can find a lot of info about BDT (if you are not familiar) in Wiki.

Error while mapping two times nested table

Hi,
I have a Product table which has nested ProductSubcategory in it.
ProductSubcategory nested table also has nested table ProductCategory inside it.
So there is a nested table inside nested table.
I designed a dimension on warehoue builder and while mapping, i got "ORA-22913: must specify table name for nested table column or attribute" error.
I mapped nested tables before with using varray iterator and expand object, but they were nested once. Is there any solution for mapping two or more time nested tables?
Now i exracted tables and i continuou working but, i wondered is there any way.

I understand your opinion. But I am not sure that the user have enough experience to choose the best option by his one. And about the redundant data: because of this I wrote that he should truncate the tables after the last mapping which loads all data into the real target table.

In other words, user should not be allowed to put any internal order other than statistical order in PR, while creating it with account assignment category K..

Hi,
You can check on business transaction RMBA - it's the purchase requisition. Set it to prerequisites and for the validation select the order type (it's better than a number range - I believe you use different order types for real/statistical I/O) from AUFK (you will see this structure as available, when creating a validation). If you do use the same order type, then check on I/O itself COBL-AUFNR.

Match Codes / Search Helps for Duplicate Check Vendor are missing

I'm trying to enable the Duplicate Check for the Vendor solution we have here and I couldn't help, but notice that when I'm setting up the DB Search in "Define Search Application", the out of the box values for existing search helps are already preconfigured and the values are the following:
BP MC_BP_ADDRESS Address Data
BP MC_BP_BANK_DETAIL Bank Details
BP MC_BP_GENERAL General Data
BP MC_BP_ID_NUMBER Identification Numbers
BP MC_BP_ROLES BP Roles
Unfortunately, when I check in SE11 - those search helps do not exist in the system. How can I get them deployed? Are they part of a Business Set that I missed to install and activate?

Duplicate check: access ID of current business partner

Hello,
we're using BADI ADDRESS_SEARCH to perform duplicate check of business partners in CRM 7.0.
Some relevant address fields are passed to method ADDRESS_SEARCH (e.g. city, country, ...), however, not the partner ID or the GUID of the business partner.
Is there any chance to access the currently processed business partner from inside the BADI method? The former (CRM 4.0, 5.0) BDT function modules "BUPMEMORY" don't work any more.
The thing is that we need to control the duplicate check based on several BP attributes like grouping, BP role, and so on.
Kindly consider that we're not in the IC (interaction center) but in the CRM web client (role SALESPRO)

Hi,
One way is to enhance the custom controller of the BP_HEAD component, add a new attribute e.g., BP No or GUID and set its value on submitorenter event or save event and inside the BADI retrieve the custom controller reference to fetch the BP No or GUID.
