Duplicate Messages from a Contacts iCloud and iMessage

From a contact of mine i get the same message from there iCloud address and there phone number but as two different conversations.
Is there a way that i can stop this?

That means the other user is sending imessage from his/her apple id and number - could be the apple id is associated with an ipad and phone number with an iphone.
This isn't an issue on your end.

Forward is a specific action that can be done with iMessages on a phone.
Have your tried turning everything Off and then On Again ?
I say this as I updated to Mac OS X 10.8.2 first then iOS 6 on the devices I had.
On each iOS device there was a restart and at this point I was asked on my Mac to allow the Apple ID and iPhone Numbers to be allowed/added to Messages (I have two iPhones so I said no to one)

And this is the only way to contact with them, because they could use Skype only in overseas. BUT I don't need new friend from other unknow Skype member. I keep blocked all unknow spammers in every day. However in this morning, I feel so scared with Skype on my mobile, I looked at my mobile Skype, I saw it automatically showed me the list of all blocked members. BUT they were all unblocked (contact unblocked) by my mobile (Android version) Skype itself automatically, and listed them one by one on the screen, and about 30 seconds later, they all were disappeared suddenly. I don't know what do to now, is it indicating my account was hacked?And how could I found out all those members again and block them again and delete all of them for ever? Hrm... that may be true and this may be a function of the phone email client that Apple just doesn't do.
No, I can easily MANUALLY delete the messages. I would prefer if I didn't have to do it twice, tho. Once on the mail server and once on the phone.
What I think the phone needs to do is, when it checks the POP, anything NOT there should be removed locally. I think you are correct on POP; the phone will poll the mx (mail exchanger) and the mx will pass off the messages to the phone. The phone then keeps ALL of that unitl you manually delete it.
If, say, I remove a message from the mx, I would like the phone, when next polls, to see that that particular message isn't on the server anymore and remove it locally.
Perhaps it's just me but if I delete the message on the mx itself, via my ISP's webmail interface, I really don't want to have to remove it again from my phone.

As expected, cdm-git also works fine since DMs only work in the root mode as of now.
Just for the record, both type commands output "/usr/bin/startx" and pacman -Q gives "systemd 215-4".

Double click the home button and swipe up the messages app to stop it, then open the app again. This pretty much completely stops the process and freshly opens it again, resolving problems at times. I have had this happen before as well on my iPad, I get a banner, check messages, and nothing new is there.
If that doesn't work, close the app like suggested above, but then restart the phone by holding down the home and lock button for 10-15 seconds until the apple logo appears.

Tried Apple Support by phone, and did a couple of troubleshoots, then my connection with Apple Support was cut off. Issue not resolved yet.

Did the mail get sent? Is the only issue the fact that it appears twice in the Sent folder?

How to make Mail stop marking messages from my Contacts as Junk?

I use Mail to access both my Gmail and Mac mail. Mail has begun marking as Junk messages from my Contacts, including VIPs. In Preferences, I have checked the boxes to have Contacts and Previous Recipients exempt from email filtering, yet they still sometimes end up marked as Junk and sent to the Junk folder. These are all Gmail messages: I use my iCloud account very little. I've unchecked the Trust junk mail headers... and Filter junk mail before applying my rules. I don't see how to make Mail leave my Gmail alone! Can anyone help?

Google recommends turning off Apple mail Junk filters if using gmail filters.

I use Skype 5.8 for Iphone. I would like to get messages - chat messages from all contacts, not only from which I have in my contact list. Is anybody can help me how to do it on Iphone?

ask your children to change their applid to stop receiving that or if they are on iCloud to just delete the account on the iPod and then when it asks to keep or remove contacts from the iPhone. make sure to remove so they will no longer see those contacts
-if they are syncing with a mac or pc just uncheck contacts from the Info tab on your iPhone from iTunes if you are not using iCloud.

It would be so much easier having seperate accounts but we have hundreds of her purchased songs on my account and she would need to be able to access these from her account. Possible?
Also, if we bought a song in future we would want to be able to both have access to it.
Alternatively, what is the easy way to sync two distinctly different contact lists to one iTunes account?

FYI: iTunes account (used to make purchases) is not the same as iTunes library (iTunes on your computer with music, movies, etc.).

You can but you will not be able to limit what she syncs.

Each of you can create your own playlists then sync only those playlists.
Then add/delete from your own playlists to change iPod content.

I guess this may be a feature request. Adobe may think this is a good message for every new eBook.
I sure would like to decide about that myself.

Which firmware your N8 having now? You can check firmware by choosing Call, then type *#0000#.
My N8 works fine on security setting and able to define Phone auto lock period, by choosing Menu>Settings>Phone>Phone management>Security settings>Phone and SIM card>Phone auto lock period>User defined>Lock after(minutes)
You will prompt to enter Lock code each time u define auto lock priod or enable/disable auto lock.

I have had to create a new Apple ID due to my old email being locked/out of use. I can not access my old email/Apple Id to change icloud and imessage to my new Apple ID. Any ideas?

I have had to create a new Apple ID after having my previous email locked and put out of use. I have managed to change my purchasing for music and apps to my new Apple ID but for iCloud and iMessage I can not access my old email/Apple ID to change this.
Any ideas guys. Sorry if this has been posted previous.

click your phone app, tap on contacts, choose the contact you want to block, scroll down and click "block this caller"

today i removed a contact from my Contact list and a couple hours later he replied to one of our conversations and i received it.
i have set the settings to get messages/calls from people on my contact list only.
how much time it takes for skype to fully acknowledge that that person is no longer on my list?

but i'm talking about a 1-1 conversation we had.
for example.
myself and contact Z had a private 1-1 chat.
i remove contact Z from my list.
and a couple hours later he wrote to our private chat and this arrived to me, even though i had set to get messages only from contacts.

At the top it does say All contacts, when I select that I only get my Exchange contacts. On the Groups page I have All Contacts, then Exchange and at the bottom All iCloud. If I select All icloud I only see one contact, mine?!
I do not see any list with my [email protected] My contacts were initially on MobileMe, when I got my iPhone 4 I transfered them to the phone so they were stored on both. I was synching with my me.com account and when I was on iCloud the contacts were nowhere to be found.
I just spoke to an Apple "genius", they told me I probably messed up the backup on outlook, my contacts are lost forever. Starting to wonder why I chose Mac, in this case I got done just like with Microsoft!!
