DVDSP Slideshow will not Build...

Hi, I'm wrinting this because I simply cannot build my iphoto slideshows to DVD. Here is what I have done. Maybe I've done something wrong.
I have 7 slideshows from iPhoto that I would like to put into a DVD using DVDSP3. My intentions are to open up with a 15sec intro. Following that intro will be the main menu featuring a submenu for every slideshow. Totaling 7 submenus.
What I did was I took the intro mov and placed it in track 1. I then linked track one to the main menu. I then placed the slideshows from the "stills" tab, onto the menu. I added a background song to the menu, and placed songs to go along with each slideshow.
Finally, I hit build/burn and let it go. It gets to about the 75-80% mark and then it brings up an error.
"Slideshow 5:Invalid Video Asset"
That sounds to me like one of the files can't be understood by DVDSP3. But all the files are the same. The pictures are ALL JPEG / 720x480 / 8-bit / RGB.

Thanks for the help! I got it to work. Thankfully I saved all the original pictures as uncompressed psd's so I didn't loose any quality when I saved them as picts. So I was able to build and burn the final project to a DVD and view it on my home DVD player.
On the other hand, I now have a new problem. It seems that 2 of my 7 slideshows "skrew up" at the end of the their play. I'll explain...
I have each slideshow aligned to audio. I will click on the first slideshow to begin the entire movie. The movie will go fine until it hits the END of the 3rd slideshow. When it does, it begins the 4th slideshow slide and then skips back to halfway through the 3rd slideshow. It also does this to my last show as well! What the heck is going on?!
The beauty of this is, when I click on the individual chapters, they don't do it. Please help, I want to get this project OUT!

CS4 64bit Bridge slideshow will not end with ESC key

I have just installed CS4 64bit on a new computer with Windows 7 64bit. I've done the update so now Bridge sees the CR2 files from my Canon 5D MkII but when I go into slideshow...which I use extensively for quickly reviewing images, I cannnot end the slideshow with the normal ESC key stroke... Which really kills the utility of slideshow. Any suggestions as to getting this to work or other ways to close slideshow? Now the only option is to croll through all the images in the folder at which point slideshow will close.

I can't help that Adobe gave me a download of 64bit CS4...but that is what they did...so obviously they have a 64bit version of CS4.
Sorry, as a Mac user PSCS 5 was the first version in 64 bit, PSCS4 was only 64 bit for Windows, However, like Curt stated, Bridge CS6 is the first 64 bit version for both platforms.
But, your suggestion to check the function of the ESC key in other applications was dead on...It does not work, so Windows 7 needs a bug fix.
Or your keyboard itself needs a spring clean...

Slideshow will not play "Purchased" iTunes Music

I recently updated to iTunes 7.6.2, and ever since then - the slideshows in Aperture (v2.1) and iPhoto (v6.0.6) will not play "purchased" music from my itunes library. The slideshows will play non-purchased music files from my library without any problems! I'm not sure why and would appreciate any help. I'm running OS X v10.4.11. I don't have any problems playing the purchased music files in iTunes or syncing with my ipod. Thanks!

I had the same problem when. I reinstalled X11 from the OSX disks and the problem is now resolved. It might be worth a try.

Back in your own account try this:
Apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.

Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download IPhoto Library Manager 4 for OS XC 10.6.8 and iPhoto 8.1.2 and later or iPhoto Library Manager 3 (for OS X 10.5.8 and iPhoto 7.1.5 and earlier) and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu (iPLM 3) or Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu (iPLM 4) option.
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note 1: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.
NOTE 2: In Lion and Mountain Lion the Home/Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and press the Return key - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.

I don't know where you got the 10.1.3 jdev. Can you get the lattest jdev and try. You need to install latest BPEL engine to deploy the 10.1.2 process from jdev 10.1.3.

After a change...DVDSP disc will not run in PS2

I am having a weird issue with a DVD project that I am working on. I usually test each DVD that I burn on my Playstation 2. The PS2 DVD player can be kind of finicky at times, therefore I think it's a good barometer to test how well it will play in specific DVD players.
Anyway, I was burned over 30 discs of a project and they played fine on my PS2, however I had to make one tiny change to to one of the button titles in a menu. Suddenly the discs will not play in my PS2. Keep in mind that I have been using the same DVD media to burn, and that the PS2 has no problem reading other projects that I have burned.
The odd thing is that the disc will still play in nearly every other DVD player and nearly every computer, with the exception of one PC laptop. I am planning to distribute this project and I am concerned that the disc won't play in particular players such as a PS2.

Yes the playstation can be a pain at times and it's spec implementation can be very intolerant at times. We have Sony as one of our clients and being PS2 and PS3 friendly is of major importance to us as it often tends to be the DVD which goes with the Game ...... Fortunately for us we have the Sony emulators here.
Getting on to your problem, firstly does the old project still work?
And secondly, was the button in the first menu and what was the change?
My first thought would be to recreate that button.

Simple slideshow, will not work in as 3.0

L.S. I have this little slideshow, it is for practise for my students. It always worked well in as 2.0,
5 slides, and two buttons: back and next.
The script in2.0 has: prevFrame and nextFrame in the code
and for the exceptions in frame 1, and frame 5 we made a new frame 1 in the actions layer, and coded the back button, gotoAndStop(5); and a new frame 5, and coded the next button: gotoAndStop(1);
Works.
Now I put the thing over tot as 3.0: And I can not get it to work properly....the buttons work, but when I am on frame 5, and go back to 4, it will go no further than 4, evenso when I go back to frame 1 from 5, I can not go further up than frame 1.
What do I do wrong??

It will be easiest to manage if you just have the buttons coded once for the entire timeline with the special conditions written into the functions instead of switching listeners. And if you use totalFrames instead of the actual number (5), you can add frames in the future without having to change the code... Frame 1...

(Solved) compiz 0.9.12.1-2 Will not build

Hello,
Just went to update to 0.9.12.1-2 and it stopped building with a error. ( mkdir: cannot create directory 'build': File exists )
Looks like this is a new package update as of today 3-18-2015. I will look deeper to see if I can find a fix.

Hello folks. I've added a small fix for building compiz/compiz-bzr with CMake 3.2. See comments for either package.
@karol The real error was related to CMake. The mkdir error came from not having a clean srcdir. Compiz needs to be built in a separate directory which cannot be created twice.

I can see all my events but when I click on slideshow it doesn't load, just get spinning wheel forever.

I believe that I have some information that may help you with the issue you are seeing. There is a folder that may need to be deleted and recreated in order to help you see these slideshows on the Apple TV. There is more information about this folder in this article right here:

If you are using a Mac, you will want to follow these instructions until you get to step 4:
iPhoto or Aperture
If you're syncing from an iPhoto or Aperture album, use these steps to find the iPod Photo Cache folder in the default iPhoto Library or Aperture Library location:
From the Finder, choose Home from the Go menu.
Once there, open the Pictures folder and locate the iPhoto Library file. (For Aperture, this is called Aperture Library.) If you have moved your iPhoto Library or Aperture Library to a different location, go to that location in Finder first.
Control-click the iPhoto Library or Aperture Library file and choose Show Package Contents from the shortcut menu.
In the next window, locate the iPod Photo Cache folder and drag it to the Trash. Important: Do not remove or modify any other file within the library package. Removing or modifying other files may cause data loss.
Close the Finder window.
In step 4, you will be looking for the folder labelled Apple TV Photo Cache, then delete that file instead of the suggest iPod Photo Cache folder. Then follow the rest of the steps as normal. Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities!

FlexUnit4SampleCIProject will not build for me with build.air.xml

I have I6 of Burrito. I downloaded the FlexUnit4SampleCIProject and followed set-up instrucitons on this page:

When I leave in all the default source and run it using:

it goes for awhile and then fails with a:

Fullscreen slideshow will not "slide" automatically

To make it easy for my collegues to show a slideshow in full screen with 5 sec. delay and a soft transistion, I have made one in Acrobat and expect people to run it with 1 click in their Acrobat Reader X. It seems like I can store these parameters in acrobat PRO X under: EDIT-PREFERENCES-FULLSCREEN. There you can take away the "Alert when document requests full screen", set the speed of the full screen slideshow and ask it to loop. THE PROBLEM: even after saving the parameter the file wont start automaticilly to change slides. YES I know i can change the settings back to advance the show in Reader on each computer, but the hole point is to make a Oneclick experience. How can I pack the parameters into the file once and for all? PS You need a PC without Acrobat (only the reader) to remake my problem.

I had the same problem. Here is what you need to do:
1. Collect all your videos in one folder on your Mac
2 Through iTune transfer them to iPad via photo. Now they will be on your iPad
3. Open your presentation in Keynote on iPad.
4. Delete he video.
5. paste he video from your folder with the video in your iPad
6. automate it to come as a cube.
All set to go
