Dynamic approve limit value form Z table
Hi friends,
My workflow is triggering with specified condition when SC item values is > 1000 , it is triggering with below logic.
Event -9EV_SC_RVR(Expression: 9B_SC_REVIEWER_001) is placed at the place of First level process level Eval ID. Because
Formula 0V_SC_TOTALVALUE > 1,000(1000 is static value) is specified in Expression : 9B_SC_REVIEWER_001, I am obtiaining First level Approver.
But now, my requirement is changes such a way that , 1000 $ will be fetched in Ztable dynamically. That means, amount value will be changed in Ztable by user.
My problem is how to create a expression to obtain 1000$ value from table so that i can compare in formula expression with 0V_SC_TOTALVALUE.

Did you use any parameter in the FM expression? it seems like the DUMP is unable to convert 00000 00 as number.
If you have assigned the parameter in the FM expression then remove them..

How to dynamically get default value from a table column
Hi all,
Here's my problem: Our front end application sends insert and update queries to a pl/sql package. I've got a procedure that gets a PL/SQL table with all the column names an values, a table-name and a primary key name and value. That procedure creates an insert or update statement. So far, so good.
Now the problem: our front end doesn't know what the default value for a column is. So when a number field doesn't get a value in the front-end, it's inserted with a value '0' though is should ben NULL. My sollution for this is to know the default value of a column: when there's a default of '0', then the value that will be inserted is '0'. When there's no default value and the column can ben NULL, it'll be inserted as NULL. if the column has a not null constraint, a '0' will be inserted.
Ofcourse I can get the default value from the system-views all_tab_columns or user_tab_columns, but our application is installed at some 100 clients, and has various database installations. Most of the times, the tables are in the same schema as our procedure that performs the insert or update, but sometimes some of the tables are in another schema (in the same database) and also sometimes some tables are stored in another database. In all these situations, a synonym for that table exists in the schema.
Is there a api function or procedure that I can call to get the default value of a column? I looked at dbms_sql and dbms_metadata, but those packages don't give me that perticular information. if not, I'll stuck with the 'does table exists in schema' yes->use table, no query user_synonyms to look for the owner of the table (and database link) and query all_tab_columns to get the default value. Only this seems a bit overkill to me.
I hope I'm clear enough? And please don't reply with "don't do inserts this way"! I know, this is not the most optimal sollution, but it does gives us a couple of advantages in our application...there is no way that I can think of, apart from what you have already discovered (i.e. views), where you can determine if a column has a defuault value defined against it.
The other option is triggers, but I guess doing that across 600 tables would not be an option, and besides I stay clear of triggers.
A different approach therefore, if you cannot pre-determine the data, is to consider a post problem handler, hence I suggested the use of an exception handler.
The exception handler works regardless of whether the statement is dynamic or not.

i have created a UDF in marketing document grid area and linked the udf with a user defind table. When i click on the Udf column it show the value list of user table but does not return selected value in column.

Yes, I telling you that its not possible to bind a UDF of system form to a UDT.
its default table will be table of the system form.
If you want to add the data to your UDT, then you can do it by following process:
on the item press event of the add button anhd Action Success==true(i.e. after B1 add its data) you can Add/Update your table. -

How to get selected value from a Table?
Dear Friends,
when i select a value form the table i want that value to be passed to controller for deleting that record,
please help in understaning what code must i write for the same?
the "Zpms_Master_Input.Output.It_P9001.Employee_Code" is the first field which i want to capture in some context or temp. variable to pass it on to controller for further porcessing.
please give a sample code on how do i catch this employee code value and use it for my processing.

While I am trying to create dynamic list of values over a table(table1) having the columns h_id ,head_foot and header.I gave the query for creating the dynamic list of values as
select header d, header r
from g.fw_header_footer
order by 1
where d is the display value and r is return value am getting the error
"1 error has occurred
LOV query is invalid, a display and a return value are needed, the column names need to be different. If your query contains an in-line query, the first FROM clause in the SQL statement must not belong to the in-line query."
Can any one please suggest me where am going wrong.

Split PR/PO values to allow pass approval limit, how can we control this?
Is there a way to limit the number of approvals that can be done on PR / PO per hour / day / week (for the same account, position, category, item).
The purpose of this not to enable users to split the PR/PO values in multiple PR/PO to allow approval limit pass, that is, PR = $3000 will not be approved since it is more that the approval limit of finance manager whereas PR 1 = $1000, PR 2 = $ 1000, PR 3 = $ 1000 will pass.

In option 2 does this mean if I am a member of the help desk who has the privilege to edit the user, I will be able to go to users/manage and another users/manage2 for example. In users/manage, I can view all the fields on the user with no edit button. In users/manage2, I can view only the fields I am authorized to edit, and there is an edit button on this page?
I have never done this so I am trying to imagine what the interface would look like and what the data flow would be.
In option 3, I have never thought of this solution. But now I understand that this could be an option.

Dynamic Action on tabular form: to auto set value for all changes rows

I am using APEX4.2.3 and I am not very familar with JQUERY or Javascript.
I am having a tabular form to support Update and Delete action. The tabular form has 4 columns:
Column A: ID (Number) : Read-only column
column B: Name (Varchar2) : Editable
Column C: Age (Number) : Editable
Column D: ChangeFlag (Varchar2) : Read-only column ==> however, I want this column been automatically upldated by my APEX application
Here is the requirement: First user update Column B, or C or both for # of rows; then user click "Save Change" button. For ALL updated rows, I need to automatically update Column D with below logic:
For a given row,
IF Column D IS NULL THEN
set value = 'M' -- M means modified
ELSE --- column D has a value already
IF last character of Column D is 'M', THEN

I thought this can be done by creating dynamic action on tabular form ... I have researched this on this forum and can't find a good match example ..
I know I can implement this using a DB trigger; however, I want to learn if this can be achived via Dynamic Action.

To change the approval limit for Extended attribute PO Value limits
Hi,
We are on SRM 4.0, in PPOMA_BBP for a local purchasing organisation we want to change the approval limit let us say from 100 to 50 but the system is presenting this field as non editable( In stabdard values sub screen)
In Extended attribute tab in organisation structure after selecting the PO Value limits in SRM 4.0 we see two sub screens
a) Standard values
b) Local values
We want to change the approval limit in standard values sub screen from 1000 to 500, which system is presenting as noneditable.

No values when the approver rejects the form ( HCM forms)
Hi All ,
When i am filling the form with the data from the BAdi and sending it to the approval for the final approval .
Problem : The approver rejects the form . The forms comes into the workspace of the Initiator * where are the values are getting washed off .*
Done : I am attaching all the fields to special fields .Even i have created a operation for this purpose .
Do i have to check the processing type . As of now its the initialize .
Please provide your input and let me know what all things i have to take care in this case .

OmAll "reject" does is send a process code. Your workflow then determines how to handle it based on that code. As for your fields getting "washed out", are you sure you are handing them off correctly? For example, if you are going from one form scenario to another, you have to "map" that passing of fields. If within the same form scenario, I would say either (1) your workflow is set up wrong and you are losing integrity of your process object or (2) your not seeing what you think you are seeing. You can check this in CASE Mgmt and see what is happening all along your process. and as Kevin said...I would not go making all of your fields "special".....that is used for something quite different...I rarely, if ever, need or even try to make any fields "special".....it's just extra work that buys you nothing much usually overall. Hope this helps.

ADOBE Form Using Table with dynamic number of rows

- AdobeDesigner 7.1 in the Developerstudio
- SAP-Portal 7.0 SP15
I have a View with tabstrips and behind the tabs i have defined an event. On one Tab I included a ADOBE-Form with Table. The Data for the PDF sould only filled in the context for the Form when i jump to this Tab. I created the Form by using this documentation [https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/e0859ad1-53aa-2a10-78ae-99e41c407669].
To fill the tablecontext I use the following Code:

Can someone tell me what im doing wrong?

finally i found the solution for the problem.
When you define the interactive Form in the view do not define the property "dataSource" of UI-Element Interactive Form it seems, that the binding is static and not dynamic.
Add the following source to the viewCotroller

when i press "IN" button i want to store follwing in LOG table..
LOGUSER----> This should store the global variable value derived from another form called "login_main"...Actually i called "user_activity" form from "login_main" with global variable..this global variable have the username who is currently logged in...But my problem is i cant insert this value..
NOTE: pls tell me how can i check this global variable is hold value or not...
IN_HR---> This is successfully updated in log table..
in_min--> This is successfully updated in log table..

please don't open multiple threads for the same question. It only adds confusion to those willing to help you, and you won't get quicker answers when posting questions more then once.
Also, mostly solutions to problems are version dependend, so the very first thing you should do is to provide the involved versions (database, forms, java, OS; remember that oracle products have 5 digit version numbers; 10g is not a version number, 10.2.0.5 is; also "Windows" has a lot of flavors; "Windows 3.11" is also "Windows", so don't say just "Windows"). Even if you think a solution isn't version dependend provide the involved versions. It isn't much effort on your side and saves us a question roundtrip when it is needed anyway.
after that you didn't give us much to work with except a - sorry but I don't have any other word for this - ill data model where you seem to want to reinvent the date datatype and some code which seem to compile (no I didn't try it). Oh, and the fact that "it didn't work". Did you debug your code? How do you populate your global variable? Did you inspect your global variable before the insert? Also what should be stored in your global? is it the current logged on oracle user? You could simply use user to get this and forget about the global

please, don't reinvent the date datatype, and fix your data model.

Help on fetching values form the Database Tables
Hi,
I am working on fetching the values from the Oracle base tables.
First the order will be submitted by the customer. Depending on the city name he mentioned I need to route the order details to two different queues.
For example if I(customer) insert a list of values(order details) to a table name "X" with the with city name as "San Jose" I need to fetch the values from this table "X" and route them to a Queue"A".
And again if I insert a list of values to a table name "X" with the with city name as "Milpitas" I need to fetch the values from the table "X" and route them to a Queue"B".
How do I do this in ESB. I know how to use Database adapter and MQ adapter to create connections between Table and queue.
Can any one help me on this.

Your use case may be implemented using Oracle ESB like this:
- Specify a database adapter for reading from DB, your table X. Select an appropriate polling strategy for this. When you finish the wizard, you should have a DB service and get a Routing Service (RS) "for free". The DB service should already be wired to the RS.
- Specify queuing services add appropriate routing rules with filters (that are based on the message content) and message transformations in your RS in order to route data to the queue of your choice.

you need all the records that are displayed in the table view with out selection. why dont you use that internal table itself, which is displayed as table view.
