Dynamic export table parameter

Hi all
Currently im having this issue whereby i need a dynamic export table parameter in the function module. this is because there is a dynamic selection from the database and then i do not know what is the reference type for the exporting table. how to define a dynamic reference type. btw im developing on 4.6C

If you are using an RFC FM it would be different 'cause you always have to type all the parameters.
In case it's not an RFC, of course you can do it.
FUNCTION ZJMOTERO.
*"*"Interfase local
*"  IMPORTING
*"     REFERENCE(I_RUTA) TYPE  ZJMOTERO3
*"  TABLES
*"      TABLE
field-symbols: <fs> type table.
data: a type ref to data.
data: tabla type table of pa0001.
select * into table tabla from pa0001 where pernr eq 1.
assign tabla to <fS>.
table[] = <fs>[].
ENDFUNCTION.

  • Dynamic Export table of a function Module

    Hi Friends,
I have a requirement where fields of  Export table of my function Module is dynamic. It is like the Fields to be expoerted by the Function Module would be stored in a seperate Z table
The Z table would contain the records as follows .
    Table Name              FieldName
    =========
    MARA                      MATNR
    MARC                      WERKS
    and So on..
. How can I define my Export table in Function module dynamically so that the structure of my Export Function Module would be same as that of the Fieldnames in Z table..
    Thanks

Just declare the associate type as "ANY TABLE" in the exporting parameter.

  • Dynamic Function Module call with table parameter?

    Hi All,
I'm trying to call FMs dynamically with PARAMETER-TABLE. These FMs are mainly about searching data from inputs and returning internal table as outputs. I managed to pass data into import parameters as query conditions, but still failed to set tables parameter. The code is like below, could you please help me check what's the problem? Thank you very much!!

if I execute the code, when there has TABLES parameter defined in the FM, I get CX_SY_DYN_CALL_PARAM_MISSING exception with runtime error DATREF_NOT_ASSIGNED. But in debug mode, as shown in the screen shot attached, I did see the field TABLES_WA has correct type. So maybe I misunderstand the usage of PARAMETER-TABLE. Does anyone has experience on it?
    Best Regards,

    Hi Rama,
Yes, I'm not passing value to the table parameter, but that parameter is where I want to retrieve data from FM, not pass value to, so I don't assign any value to ptab_line-value for that parameter.
BTW, I just did some test to pass value to the parameter using the following code and still got CALL_FUNCTION_PARM_MISSING exception:

create data ref_type type table of (ls_import_para-STRUCTURE).

  • I'm getting a "The procedure entrypoint ssSr192x__ssSr192drvssSrReset could no be located in the dynamic link library ssSR192x.dll" because the ActiveX instrument driver DLL doesn't have the function names in the export table.

Is there a way for my CVI project to reference the functions in the ActiveX without including the instrument .fp in the project?
    Thanks much.
I'm confused on how CVI uses ActiveX components and hope someone can help.
I'm using an ActiveX driver from an instrument manufacturer and I use the .TLB to generate a .fp, .c, and .h file. If I register the .dll and load the .fp in my project, all is well. Unfortunately in my application the functions to control this instrument are in another DLL whose .lib I include in my CVI projec
    t. Running the CVI project this way gives me "The procedure entrypoint ssSr192x__ssSr192drvssSrReset could no be located in the dynamic link library ssSR192x.dll" because the instrument function names aren't in the export table in the instrument DLL. Non-ActiveX DLLs have the export tables so everything works for them.
    Program structure with non-ActiveX DLLs:
CVI project (.exe with common.lib in project list)
    |
    V
Common DLL (MeasDMM() with hp1234.lib in project list)
    |
    V
    Instrument DLL (hp1234_measure())
Since I get a .c and .h file from the .TLB, I've tried recompiling the DLL (.dll and .lib produced) and the functions seem to work, but I get "Class not registered" errors unless I play games with the registry so I'm obviously violating numerous Microsoft rules!
Is there a way for my CVI project to reference the functions in the ActiveX without including the instrument .fp in the project? Thanks much.

    Hello Jeff,
Where were your getting the .lib file for the ActiveX DLL? Did you use the "hp1234"
    ActiveX driver generated by the "Create ActiveX Automation Controller" CVI Tool to build a static library? If you open an include file and choose Options >> Generate DLL..., it will generate source code or a static import library to load the specified DLL and load functions specified in the include file (this only works if the functions are exported from a DLL). However, in the case of our ActiveX Automation Controllers, ActiveX calls are used to access a DLL. This means that you do not need an import library. You should be able to open the "hp1234" source file and click Options >> Create Object File. Simply #include "hp1234.h" and add "hp1234.obj" to your Common DLL project;
the .fp file is not necessary. If this does not answer your questions or if you experience further difficulty, please post further details on what you are doing and the errors that are being encountered ("play games with the registry" and "recompiling 'the' DLL" are a bit vague in this case).

  • Passing the Dynamic Internal Table as the Output Parameter of the FM...

    Hi,
How can we pass the internal table as the output from the Function Module TABLES parameter.
SELECT * FROM TVRO BYPASSING BUFFER INTO TABLE <ltable>.
Now I need to pass the dynamic internal table <ltable> as the output in the function module.
    Thanks!
    Puneet.

I can't use TVRO as the table type. The Table name is as the Input. This program will download the contents of the table and create an app server file. It can be for any database table.
so i want the output of this FM should be the data from that table. So what should be the TABLE type.
like in  a program i will use:::
      FIELD-SYMBOLS: <ltable> TYPE ANY TABLE,
                     <l_line> TYPE ANY,
                     <l_field> TYPE ANY.
SELECT * FROM (p_table) BYPASSING BUFFER INTO TABLE <ltable>.
    That is my requirement.

  • Pass Structured table into dynamic table parameter in public method

    Ladies and Gentlemen,
I have a requiremet to pass (1 at a time) any number of tables into a reuseable method in a custom class.  The Method code is as follows:
    method CREATE_OUTBOUND_FILE.
    * Importing VALUE( IV_PATHNAME )  TYPE PATHEXTERN File Destination
    * Importing VALUE( IT_FILE_RECORD ) TYPE REF TO DATA  Table with Output
    * Importing VALUE( IV_RECORD_STRUCTURE )  TYPE STRING OPTIONAL  Record Structure
    * Importing VALUE( IV_DELIMITER )     TYPE STRING     File Delimiter
    * Exporting VALUE( EV_RECORD_CNT )  TYPE STRING Record Count
      Data:
            ls_line_cnt(6) type n,
            lt_data_struc  type zty_ddic_struc_T,
            ls_string      type string.
      field-SYMBOLS: <fs_string> type any.
    * Open Dataset for outputting file details
Open dataset iv_pathname for output in text mode encoding default.
      Assign ls_string to <fs_string> CASTING TYPE (iv_record_structure).
      loop at it_file_record into <fs_string>.
        transfer <fs_string> to iv_pathname.
        Add 1 to ls_line_cnt.
        clear <fs_string>.
      endloop.
      ev_record_cnt = ls_line_cnt.
    where IV_PATHNAME = output destination & filename
                IT_FILE_REC     = data table
IV_RECORD_STRUCTURE = is ddic structure definition for the data table
IV_DELIMITER = file delimiter, in this case, let's say it's C (for CSV)
and EV_RECORD_CNT is a count of numbe of records processed.
Lets say, for example, I wish to load data from table SFLIGHT into the method when program A is executed.  Then another time I wish to excute Program B which is passing in data of table  SFLCONN2.  I hope that by using the "type ref to data" defintion, I can pass the table contents through. Is this true?
Secondly, I'm getting a syntax error saying that "IT_FILE_RECORD" is not defined as a table (and therefore can't be looped at), and therefore can't be read.  How can I access the data in this table in preparation for output.
Any assistance or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Steve

    Hi Stephen ,
Graham already gve part of the solution.
    If you declare
Importing VALUE( IT_FILE_RECORD ) TYPE REF TO DATA
it does not make sense to declare to pass by VALUE because you will not change this refernce in the method. Calling this method, you must pass a refefernce.
    data:
      lr_ref type ref to data.
get reference of <your itab here> into lr_ref.
    CREATE_OUTBOUND_FILE( ...IT_FILE_RECORD = lr_ref ... )
In the method, it goes as graham explained.
Anyway, I would declare the table parameter as
    Importing IT_FILE_RECORD TYPE TABLE
The your code could work, but you will have troube with any non-character fields in the tables.

  • Dynamic TABLE parameter in Sub routine call

    Hi,
Is it possible to have a dynamic TABLE parameter in a sub-routine call? The structure of the internal table will be different during different calls to the sub-routine.
I have a subroutine which has the FM "HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION" to update the infotype data for an Applicant. Now i want to call this subroutine for every Infotype update. So every time the structure of the internal table to be passed will vary depending on Infotype ( eg P0002 for Infotype 0002, p0006 for infotype 0006).
    Any pointers will be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Navin,
    yes, why not.
just use a generic type parameter, i.e.
FORM process USING IT_00x type table IV_type typc.
It depend what yout FORM shall do. If you pass the types name, you can dynamically assign to a field-symbol of the respective type.

  • DYNAMIC INTERNAL TABLE CREATION BASED ON THE CONTENT OF ANOTHER INTERNAL TA

    Hi All
I need to create an internal table at runtime.
I have a selection screen parameter which is specific to country, Which can take values below

  • Help needed in Exporting tables data through SQL query

    Hi All,
I need to write a shell script(ksh) to take some of the tables data backup.
The tables list is not static, and those are selecting through dynamic sql
    query.
Can any body tell help me how to write the export command to export tables
which are selected dynamically through SQL query.
    I tried like this
    exp ------ tables = query \" select empno from emp where ename\= \'SSS\' \"
but its throws the following error
EXP-00035: QUERY parameter valid only for table mode exports
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi,
You can dynamically generate parameter file for export utility using shell script. This export parameter file can contain any table list you want every time. Then simply run the command
    $ exp parfile=myfile.txt

  • Problem with grid display in ALV for dynamic internal tables

    Hi,
I am using dynamic internal tables in my program. To display it in grid format after populating it, I have used the following class and method. Here Im getting sy-subrc = 0 but, the grid is not getting displayed. Can some one pls help me with this.,
DATA: W_GRID TYPE REF TO CL_GUI_ALV_GRID.
    DATA: w_tabname TYPE w_tabname.

Here, <FS_1> is the field symbol of table type and it holds all my data. and LT_FIELDCATALOG2  is the structure of my fieldcatalog
    Thanks and Regards,

    Hi Avinash,
    Either use parameter
    I_STRUCTURE_NAME = W_TABNAME
    or
    IT_FIELDCATALOG = LT_FIELDCATALOG2
    Both are not required.
At the end of ur program simply use a write statement like below. Your program will work.
    IF SY-SUBRC 0.
    MESSAGE ID SY-MSGID TYPE SY-MSGTY NUMBER SY-MSGNO
    WITH SY-MSGV1 SY-MSGV2 SY-MSGV3 SY-MSGV4.
    ENDIF.
    Write /.      <----

  • Creating dynamic internal table with deep structure

    Hi all,
I need to create an internal table with deep structure dynamically. I've already created tables with method 'create_dynamic_table' but I'm struggling with the deep structure.
I would need an internal table with the following structure:
    DATA: BEGIN OF lt_t1,
    s1 TYPE REF TO data,
    s2 TYPE REF TO data,
    END OF lt_t1.
S1 and S2 have to be tables.
It might be possible with RTTS but all the examples in the forums (that I've found so far) are related to at least one DDIC-structure. And that's my problem because both tables are created during runtime.
    Thank you in advance
    Nicola

    Hi Frédéric,
I hope my english is good enough to explain it correctly:
We use a function builder for SEM-BPS which copies data from one Cube to another. This Cube is transactional, so you can't easily read a structure out of DDIC.
The export parameter of this function builder is a table with type 'any table'.
Until today we used a fixed definition e.g.:
      TYPES:
        BEGIN OF xtyp_chas,

         zfbwheroj     TYPE /bic/oizfbwheroj,
        END   OF xtyp_chas,
        BEGIN OF xtyp_kyfs,
          0amount      TYPE /bi0/oiamount,
          0quantity    TYPE /bi0/oiquantity,
          zf03oaws     TYPE /bic/oizf03oaws,
          zf03oqty     TYPE /bic/oizf03oqty,
          zf03ozsta    TYPE /bic/oizf03ozsta,
        END OF xtyp_kyfs,
        BEGIN OF xtyp_zf03g003,
          s_chas TYPE xtyp_chas,
          s_kyfs TYPE xtyp_kyfs,
        END   OF xtyp_zf03g003,
xtyp_zf03g003_t TYPE HASHED TABLE OF xtyp_zf03g003
                          WITH UNIQUE KEY s_chas.
    DATA: lt_ibm_data TYPE xtyp_zf03g003_t,
          ls_ibm_data TYPE xtyp_zf03g003.
So one table (s_chas) contains the characteristics of the Cube and the other (s_kyfs) contains the keyfigures. That's exactly the format we need for the export parameter. At the end of the program, we use the following coding to fill the export table (eto_chas):
    loop at lt_ibm_data into ls_ibm_data.
      collect ls_ibm_data-s_chas into eto_chas.
    endloop.
So in this moment I give this table the structure that is needed to move the data into the cube. I can't change the requirement because it is a standard interface.
I would like to change that coding to be dynamically. Because if somebody changes a charasteristic or a keyfigure in the cube, we would have to change the function builder too. I don't think that the SEM-BPS department will let us know every time they've changed something anyway.
So I hope that my explanation wasn't too confusing

  • Create dynamic internal table with dynamic structure

I have an internal table itab1 that have 12 amount fields from period1 thru period12.  I need to create a dynamic table with dynamic structure for the  period column if the total amount of each column  is > 0.  Any idea on how to do that?
For example if my itab1 has 20 rows and the sum of period1 = 35, sum of period2 = 0, sum of period3 = 5, sum of period4 =0, sum of period5 = 2 then I need to create a dynamic structure for the field column that have the total > 0, i.e  structure struct1 have field period1, period3 and period5 only.  Then I will need to load the data to itab2 from itab1.  Can someone help.
Thanks.  I am on 4.7 and will upgrade to ERP 6.0 soon.
