Dynamic field in forms
Hi there,
I'm working on SCSM forms customization and I'd like to reproduce the behavior of the priority field : change the value of a textbox based on the value of two other textboxes.
At the moment I successfully implemented a custom user control as shown here
http://blog.scsmsolutions.com/2011/08/create-custom-user-control-for-scsm-2010/, I can use the "UserControl_DataContextChanged" method to set values while editing CI or WI but to reflect the new value of my textbox I have to apply changes
and refresh the form.
That's quite ok but it would be "nice to have" to have my textbox reflecting immediately the change. Does someone have any clue on that ?
Optionnal question when retrieving my instance (instance = (this.DataContext
asIDataItem);)
is there's a way to enumerate all available properties name ?

Hi,
Thanks for answering !
Well I guess that if I could update the textbox.text value in real time then commit the value to the class' property when clicking apply would be OK.
For the moment I created a CI class and I'd like to include few financial information. So I added those properties (among others) to my class:
date_Achat : type date (the buying date of the asset)
dec_PrixAcquisition (the buying price)
dec_Amortissement (the amortization time)
dec_PrixResiduel (the remaining value of the asset)
So far here's what I've done, here is the code for the custom control :
<UserControl x:Class="SCSMControls_PrixResiduel.SCSMControl_PrixResiduel"
xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation"
xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml"
xmlns:mc="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/markup-compatibility/2006"
xmlns:d="http://schemas.microsoft.com/expression/blend/2008"
xmlns:scwpf="http://schemas.microsoft.com/SystemCenter/Common/UI/Wpf"
xmlns:sys="clr-namespace:System;assembly=mscorlib"
mc:Ignorable="d"
d:DesignHeight="300" d:DesignWidth="300" Loaded="UserControl_Loaded" DataContextChanged="UserControl_DataContextChanged">
<Grid>
<TextBox x:Name="tb1" HorizontalAlignment="Left" Height="23" Margin="0,0,0,0" TextWrapping="Wrap" Text="{Binding Path=dec_PrixResiduel, Mode=TwoWay, UpdateSourceTrigger=PropertyChanged}" VerticalAlignment="Top" Width="120"/>
</Grid>
</UserControl>
And here is the code behind :
private void UserControl_DataContextChanged(object sender, DependencyPropertyChangedEventArgs e)
// wait binding
if (this.DataContext is IDataItem)
instance = (this.DataContext as IDataItem);
// If this is new incident, set some default properties
if ((bool)instance["$IsNew$"])
//instance["Title"] = "WOW! Now we can set the default value for property!!!";
//instance["Description"] = "And we can use SDK. Current management group: " + mg.Name;
//IncidentTierQueuesEnum.Tier2
//instance["TierQueue"] = mg.EntityTypes.GetEnumeration(new Guid("df3896f5-3145-0546-4d25-e485de6765af"));
instance["dec_PrixAcquisition"] = 1000;
instance["date_Achat"] = DateTime.Now;
instance["dec_Amortissement"] = 3;
//instance["dec_PrixResiduel"] = 0;
//tb1.Text = instance["dec_PrixResiduel"].ToString();
else
//instance["dec_PrixResiduel"] = instance["dec_PrixAcquisition"] ;
Let's say for the moment that I'd like dec_PrixResiduel to be the multiplication of dec_Amortissement and dec_PrixAcquisition (the end formula will be more complex but it'll show me how it works).
Thanks !

How to display or generate PDF417 barcode dynamically in PDF form? I am using Acrobat XI Professional and there is a Bar Code Field in the same through which I generated the same. But I want to generate the same dynamically.
What do you mean by dynamically? When yo set up a 2D bar code field you specify which field name/value pairs you want to include, along with other parameters. But be aware that they won't work with Reader unless you Reader-enable the document with LiveCycle Reader Extensions and include the bar code usage right. It will work with Acrobat Standard/Pro.

Hi Gurus,
I'm working on Adobe Interactive form developed in WDP ABAP. I have a dynamic field called Roles. User can give n number of roles as Input. How can I capture them in my WDP. I know how to capture if there is a fixed field like name, age, email id etc.. Please give me the detail explaination on this.hi,
when you create a form, the UI elements are created by either directlly dragging and dropping the context elements or map form elements with context elements.
when pdf is online its contents are reflected in the Context Attributes.
so if you change/modify the Context Attributes, the change is reflected in the corresponding form fields.

Hello Experts,
I have a requirement to design all fields in a form dynamically..!
It means if the user selects speific fields in a custom config, the form should be genarated with only those fields.
I know it can be done placing fields at design time and then hiding it later.. but I am looking for dynamic fields creation and position and setting its properties dynamically.
Thanx for Ur time.. !hi,
Did you try creating a composite form ?? The sap.help link to creating Dynamic forms is give below

Generate Dynamic fields in an Interactive Form
Hello,
I would like to know if it is possible to generate dynamic fields in an Interactive Forms ?
Best regards,
A.HenryHi,
Yes it can be implemented by using scripts.
Here you can do the hide and visible things and once the field is binded in the interactive form that do not change.
We can utilize the context node elements only once we can put into interactiveform only . we can not use as dynamically as Context attributes.
What you are exactly looking for?
Thanks,
Lohi.

Dynamic field inputs lost when form is emailed
Hello,
I am relatively new to LiveCycle and have been using it off and on to build a series of forms, learning as I go. All work is being done in Designer ES.
I have a form built with several dynamic fields (text fields that display contingent upon a radio or dropdown selection, table rows that are added using a button with addInstance, etc). The form also contains an email submit option which emails the completed form to me (for now), for testing purposes.
I just started testing the form this morning. Locally it tests fine: fields display when they should, table rows are added with all the cell contents that should be there, everything can be completed. When I use the email submit button to send it to myself, then view the attachment, all dynamic areas are missing. They aren't just blank - they don't even appear. So the "root" yes/no/other dropdown appears, but the textfield tied to "other", which I completed prior to emailing, is not visible once emailed.
Any ideas?Hi,
First try going to File > Form Properties > Defaults tab.
There set the "Preserve script changes" to automatic:
This should help.
You may wish to check that each of the objects are set to Name/Normal binding in the Object > Binding palette (global binding will also work, if you want to use thsi for certain fields). I don't think that this is the issue, but have a look anyway.
Hope that helps,

Dynamic generation of form to show table entries
Dear experts,
I am aware of how to dynamically program for form generation when the layout static and is already defined in transaction SFP.
However I have a requirement wherein the form layout is not available . But the form should get generated dynamically and display values from a table in a simple field - value format. ( Just the way SE16 displays table content , the only difference being output should be in a PDF)
Any pointers how I can progress on this.
Appreciated your inputs.
Thank you.

Sahir.How does default checked checkboxes work for checkboxes of type String[]?
The following code works, but it is for form property of type String, instead of String[]:
<form-property name="prop" type="java.lang.String" />

The plant 1 to 20 has to be brought dynamically as headings from T001W table. (Horizontally populate)
Below each plant i need sub-headings "QTY" and "VAL". (Horizontally populate)
List of Materials should be brought vertically from MARA table. (Vertically populate)
Can anyone suggest how to bring out this format for populating data accordingly into the o/p format?
Ur help will be appreciated.

Acually this seems to be just fine. All the underlined words
are variables,
sent from Flash to PHP.
Your variable loadText seems to be shaken a little. Is this
variable the one
you`re looking for?

Dynamic field in select statment.
Hello,
I created a report in which i have two checkboxes in the selection screen. The first checkbox is for the option to bring or not, initial purchase requisitions (BANFN) from EKPO and the second is to bring initial or not, RFQs
(ANFNR). I want the select statment to have this form:
select ...
from ekpo
into g_table
where ..
and dynamic field = " ".
Can this be done ?
i tried to put it as a string but it didnt work. (data: dynamic field type string value "EKPO-BANFN")
P.S i know that it can be by writing the same select code twice.
I just wonder if this can be done by this way

Read Data from the dynamic Field Symbol with key ?
Dear All,
I've 2 dynamic internal tables in the form of field symbols.
Now,I want to loop the item field symbol, read the header field symbol content and then move the corresponding into a final field symbol.
How to read the field symbol with key ?
When I'm trying to give the key clause in the paranthesis it's giving a syntax error.
Any clues ?
FYI .....
* Get the Dynamic Field and Value for the Date/Year and convert it into Year value

* Get the Dynamic Field and Value
ASSIGN COMPONENT gwa_znrows_def-kfldname OF STRUCTURE <wa_rson> TO <fs_value>.
* Populate field for Dynamic Where condition

CONCATENATE gwa_znrows_def-kfldname '=' gv_value INTO gt_where SEPARATED BY space.

Thanks & regards,
Deepu.KTYPES: BEGIN OF line,

col2 TYPE c,
END OF line.
DATA: wa TYPE line,
itab TYPE HASHED TABLE OF line WITH UNIQUE KEY col1,
key(4) TYPE c VALUE 'COL1'.
FIELD-SYMBOLS <fs> TYPE ANY TABLE.
ASSIGN itab TO <fs>.
READ TABLE <fs> WITH TABLE KEY (key) = 'X' INTO wa.
The internal table itab is assigned to the generic field symbol <fs>, after which it is possible to address the table key of the field symbol dynamically. However, the static address
READ TABLE <fs> WITH TABLE KEY col1 = 'X' INTO wa.
is not possible syntactically, since the field symbol does not adopt the key of table itab until runtime. In the program, the type specification ANY TABLE only indicates that <fs> is a table. If the type had been ANY (or no type had been specified at all), even the specific internal table statement READ TABLE <fs> would not have been possible from a syntax point of view. -
LiveCycle Designer 8 Saving Dynamic Field Problem
Just updated to LiveCycle Designer 8 to get around the issue with my users not being able to save the PDF form data. Now my users can save the data using Acrobat Reader 8 but my dynamic fields are not working correctly.
I have several fields that when you click a certain radio button or check a certain box, a previously invisible text field becomees visible. If one of those boxes is checked and data is entered in the now visible text field, then the users saves the form and reopens it, the data is saved but the field is invisible. Viewing the XML output confirms that the data is still there. When the form is reopened the checkbox that makes the field visible is still checked. But to see that data entered in the text field, you have to uncheck and then recheck the box to get the invisible field to become visible once more. Any idea on how to correct this "feature"?
Thanks, DebraHi Debra,
To correct this 'feature', go in Form Properties > Defaults tab, set the Preserve Scripting Changes To Form When Saved option to Automatically.
To correctly using Designer 7.x, youll have to write some script to achieve the same result. Currently, you have a script setting the fields state. All you need is to run the same script when the form is opened. In the example below, a form:ready script will execute the change event script when the form is opened. You can use the docReady event as well.
For example:
RadioButtonList: change event
if (this.rawValue == "1")
TextField1.presence = "visible";
else
TextField1.presence = "invisible";
RadioButtonList: form:ready event
this.execEvent("change");
Hope this helps,
Hélène

Hi Folks,
I have to prepare some PDFs using indesign that will be used for Invoices. Our developers want to be able to add the logo and certain fields dynamically. I wanted to find out is there anything special i need to know to do to make the fields and logo updateable dynamically in the output PDF. What is this topic even under? Would it be a scripting thing? I tried Googling around to find answers but had no luck.
Just to give you an example of what I mean by dynamic fields.... i might have a field title "Surname" with text box alongside. My developers should be able to insert the correct surname into that text box when displaying the PDF
Thanks for your help community!is the PDF generated in indesign going be used as a graphic for the Management Information System (MIS) to put data over the top of, or are "the developers" attempting to use indesign as a database query tool?
indesign's data merge has limited capabilities and using it as a "back end" to generate invoices is something that IMHO is beyond its scope.
can the OP please give more information so that a more properly formed answer can be given? -
Comparing dynamic fields of objects using equals and hashCode methods
To compare the different objects of the same class with their contents like jobTitleId, classificationId, deptId & classificationId was to be done and do some manipulations later using Set and Map. I was able to do that by simply overriding the equals and hashCode methods of Object class and was able to fetch the information (like in the following Map).
Map<LocationData, List<LocationData>>
The following is the class I used (its been shown to you so that it can be referred for my problem statement):
LocationData class
package com.astreait.bulkloader;
public class LocationData {
String locId, deptId, jobTitleId, classificationId;
@Override
public boolean equals(Object obj) {
LocationData ld = (LocationData)obj;
return this.deptId.equals(ld.deptId) && this.jobTitleId.equals(ld.jobTitleId) && this.classificationId.equals(ld.classificationId) &&
this.locId.equals(ld.locId);
@Override
public int hashCode() {
return deptId.hashCode() + jobTitleId.hashCode() + classificationId.hashCode() +locId.hashCode();
Problem:
I'm already known to which all fields of this object I need to make the comparison.
i.e I'm bound to use the variables named classificationId, deptId, jobTitleId & locId etc.
Need:
I need to customize this logic such that the fields Names (classificationId, deptId, jobTitleId & locId etc) can be pulled dynamically along with their values. So, as far as my understanding I made use of 2 classes (TableClass and ColWithData) such that the List of ColWithData is there in TableClass object.
I'm thinking what if I override the same two methods `equals() & hashCode();`
such that the same can be achieved.
TableClass class #1
class TableClass{
List<ColWithData> cwdList;
@Override
public boolean equals(Object obj) {
boolean returnVal = false;
// I need to have the logic to be defined such that
// all of the dynamic fields can be compared
return returnVal;
@Override
public int hashCode() {
int returnVal = 0;
// I need to have the logic to be defined such that
// all of the dynamic fields can be found for their individual hashCodes
return returnVal;
ColWithData class #2
class ColWithData{
String col; // here the jobTitleId, classificationId, deptId, locId or any other more fields info can come.
String data; // The corresponding data or value for each jobTitleId, classificationId, deptId, locId or any other more fields.
Please let me know if I'm proceeding in the right direction or I should make some any other approach. If it is ok to use the current approach then what should be performed in the equals and hashCode methods?
Finally I need to make the map as: (Its not the concern how I will make, but can be considered as my desired result from this logic)
Map<TableClass, List<TableClass>> finalMap;Hello,
What is the relation with the Oracle Forms tool ?
