  • How to declare Dynamic table in Tables Parameters of a Function Module...

    Hi Gurus,
    I would like to Know how to declare a Dynamic table in Tables parameters of a Function Module.
    so that it should be able to hold any table data ....
    I have tried all possible ways of trying to assign fields-symbol like declarations which doesnt allow here ...
    plz Dont reply with the basics of creating dynamic internal tables, coz my case is not an Internal table it is FM table parameter declaration.....

    Hi,
    If you are requirement is to create a function module with tables parameter having a generic line type i.e. no specific line type
    just declare it with a name under Parameter name with out specifying the type.
    A reference function module with such parameter, i would quote is the standard GUI_UPLOAD/ GUI_DOWNLOAD where the parameters specified under TABLES are generic.
    If you want to process the values passed to these parameters in the source code of function module, field symbols would be a preferable option.

  • Structure of Dynamic Table in Function Module

    Hi,
    I'm trying to find a way to get as OUTPUT a dynamic Table from a Function Module.
    I declared a table called T_DATA without a type.
    And this table should have a dynamic table back.
    The problem that I get the data back but, I only found a data without any field-elements.
    The data is there but there's no structure, no table.
    Is there any way that I can send the Data in a proper structure?

    Hi all,
    I am trying to output a dynamic table from a FM. I am a generating a dynamic internal table in the FM. Now i want to assign that internal table to a table parameter of the FM so that i can use that table in the calling program. can this be done?
    regards,

    You may need to look into code of sap function module
    RFC_READ_TABLE

  • Call Function with RFC  dynamic table

    Hi all
    I create a function compare TABLE_ENTRIES_GET_VIA_RFC and CTVB_COMPARE_TABLES, everything is.dynamic
    it works well but, how could i create a dynamic output parameter for table.
    the system show me that RFC and dynamic table don't work.
    i don't want line by line i would like to have the real structure inside of the Function i have everything but i can't move the data to the output parameter table .
    could somebody help ?

    Thx RE (and Mani) for the feedback.
    I think that this URL is sufficient to understand how to pass dynamic internal table via RFC function module, whatever it is input or output. This URL says to use a STRING to store the table content in XML format, via CALL TRANSFORMATION ID, and pass this string as parameter. In the calling program, we have to "decode" the XML back into abap data, Just notice that we don't need to create an XSLT, ID is sufficient.
    For any other information, open a new thread, or ask a precise question.

  • Table function on a collection in Dynamic SQL

    Hello,
    I am trying to create a refcursor by selecting from a collection using table function.
    If I use the Select statement the query executes, but if I put the Select statement in a string
    the collection variable does not get resolved. The resaon I am putiing it in a string is because the
    WHERE clause will be passed a parameter. The code below is an anonymous block but will be changed to a
    procedure once I get it to work.
    I have tried many different ways but was unsuccessful.
    Please see if anybody cann assist or what I am trying to achive is not possible, so provide an alternative.

  • HR Logical database PNP. OO to fill table dynamic table  from PNP  ?

    Hi all
    I want to get some stuff from the HR logical database into a dynamic table
    Here's a real simple example that writes info out to a normal list.
    (report is based on using Logical DB PNP)
    tables: pernr.
    INFOTYPES: 0001,                     "Organizational Assignment
               0002.                     "Personal Data
    SELECT-OPTIONS: language FOR p0002-sprsl.
    INITIALIZATION.
      pnptimed = 'D'.
    GET pernr.
      PROVIDE * FROM p0002 BETWEEN pn-begda AND pn-endda.
        CHECK language.
        WRITE: / p0002-pernr,
                 sy-vline,
                 p0001-ename,
                 sy-vline,
                 p0002-sprsl,
                 sy-vline,
                 p0002-gbdat.
      ENDPROVIDE.
    endform.
    Now what I want to do is replace the write stuff by appending the entries into a dynamic table which I will display as an ALV Grid.
    so I add my structure in the data declarations
    types:  begin of s_elements,
       pernr  type  p0002-pernr,
       ename  type p0001-ename,
       sprsl  type p0002-sprsl,
       gbdat   type p0002-gbdat.
      drop_down_handle  type int4.
    types: end of    s_elements.
    include zz_jimbo_incl.
    build the dynamic table
    create data dref type s_elements.
      assign dref->* to <fs>.
      i_routine = 'POPULATE_DYNAMIC_ITAB'.*
    i_names   = 'NAME_COLUMNS'.
      i_gridtitle = 'HR  TEST'.
    invoker = sy-repid.
    i_zebra = 'X '.
    i_edit = '  '.
    call function 'ZZ_CALL_SCREEN'
         exporting
              invoker     = invoker
              my_line     = <fs>
              i_gridtitle = i_gridtitle
              i_edit      = i_edit
              i_zebra     = i_zebra
              i_names     = i_names
              i_routine   = i_routine
         importing
              z_object    = z_object
              dy_table    = dy_table.
    Now to populate the dynamic Itab the routine below is entered.
    form populate_dynamic_itab changing dy_table.
      assign dy_table->* to <dyn_table>.
      create data dy_line like line of <dyn_table>.
      assign dy_line->* to <dyn_wa>.
    However I can't use GET / PROVIDE / ENDPROVIDE in a Form.
    Anyway round this ---seems HR has an aversion to OO.
    Cheers
    jimbo

    Hi,
    well, GET_PERNR is a so called event_statement. It has nothing to do with ABAP 00.
    Normally it will be like this:
    START-OF-SELECTION.
    GET_PERNR.
    PROVIDE ....
    END-OF-SELECTION.
    -> and here the CALL SCREEN NNNN for ALV-Display.
    Provide-statements you can use in forms of course, and as many times you want during GET and END-OF-SELECTION.
    But as I understood : you just want to save the write-statements?
    I always develop a DDIC-Structure, declarate the data objects in the programm, read the data via Provide into the infotypes, and then make a move-corresponding to my structure. and display it.
    Normally no problem.
    kind regards
    maik

  • How can I filter which records are displayed in my dynamic table?

    I have what I think is probably an easy question for anyone
    who is experienced with PHP/MySQL and Dreamweaver (which I am not).
    I have a website where users login, and then have access to
    their homepage which displays a dynamic table of all of the records
    that they have inserted into a database (this page also has a link
    to the form where they submit a record). However, right now I can
    only get to display all records that have been inserted instead of
    only the ones that they have inserted (which is what I want). How
    can I accomplish this?
    I already have a session variable, 'MM_username', which
    allows me to bind the user_ID to anything I need to, and when a
    user inserts a record, their 'user_ID' is already inserted into a
    column in that record for that table, so I'd like to display the
    dynamic table in a way that filters it out so it only shows the
    records that match the logged-in user's 'user_ID'.
    I've tried to use the filter function in the recordset dialog
    box, nut I just can't get it to work correctly. Any help on this
    would be much appreciated!

    I already tried that. I set the table to filter out and
    display only the records that match the landlord ID to the session
    variable(which I named 'Landlord_ID' not 'MM_username ' like I said
    earlier). When I tried to simply insert the session variable into
    the page just to see what data would show up, the result is just a
    blank space, so the session variable itself apparently has no data
    value to echo in the PHP form.
    Because of that, I have no idea how to tell dreamweaver to
    filter based on the Landlord_ID, even though I CAN echo the
    landlord ID variable in the recordset, I can't figure out how to
    put that runtime value in the filter.

  • Columns in a dynamic table

    Hi guys!
    I'm working with field symbols and dynamic tables and i have this code:
    REPORT  zpractica03.
    PARAMETERS: p_tabla TYPE dd02l-tabname.
    DATA: tabla_name TYPE dd02l-tabname,
          tabla_generica  TYPE REF TO data,
          linea_generica  TYPE REF TO data.
    FIELD-SYMBOLS: <fs_tabla> TYPE ANY TABLE,
                   <fs_linea> TYPE ANY,
                   <fs_campo> TYPE ANY.
    tabla_name = p_tabla.
    CREATE DATA tabla_generica TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF (tabla_name).
    ASSIGN tabla_generica->* TO <fs_tabla>.
    CREATE DATA linea_generica TYPE (tabla_name).
    ASSIGN linea_generica->* TO <fs_linea>.
    SELECT *
           INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE <fs_tabla>
           FROM (tabla_name).
    DATA: lv_indice_campo TYPE sy-tabix,
          lv_valor_campo.
    LOOP AT <fs_tabla> INTO <fs_linea>.
      CLEAR lv_indice_campo.
      lv_indice_campo = sy-tabix.
         ASSIGN COMPONENT lv_indice_campo OF STRUCTURE <fs_linea> TO <fs_campo>.
        IF sy-subrc EQ 0.
          MOVE <fs_campo> TO lv_valor_campo.
        ENDIF.
    ENDLOOP.
    In the last step, I know that I need something like this in order to get one line and save the info in a workarea and then create an ALV :
    Do n Times
         ASSIGN COMPONENT lv_indice_campo OF STRUCTURE <fs_linea> TO <fs_campo>.
        IF sy-subrc EQ 0.
          MOVE <fs_campo> TO lv_valor_campo.
        ENDIF.
    Enddo.
    What I don't know how to do is how can I get the number 'N' ? Can somebody explain me how can I get the number of the columns in a table that can be different any time that i run the program?
    Thank you very much.
    Gaby

    Hello,
    You can use the FM: DDIF_FIELDINFO_GET & pass the table name tabla_name.
    It will return the table DFIES_TAB which will contain the column details. So before this:
    Do n Times
    lv_indice_campo = lv_indice_campo + 1.
    ASSIGN COMPONENT lv_indice_campo OF STRUCTURE <fs_linea> TO <fs_campo>.
    IF sy-subrc EQ 0.
    MOVE <fs_campo> TO lv_valor_campo.
    ENDIF.
    Enddo.
    Add this code:
    DATA: LT_DFIES        TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF DFIES.
        CALL FUNCTION 'DDIF_FIELDINFO_GET'
          EXPORTING
            TABNAME        = tabla_name
          TABLES
            DFIES_TAB      = LT_DFIES
          EXCEPTIONS
            NOT_FOUND      = 1
            INTERNAL_ERROR = 2
            OTHERS         = 3.
        IF SY-SUBRC = 0.
          N = LINES ( LT_DFIES ).
        ENDIF.
    Else you can easily avoid this stuff by EXITing the DO...ENDDO loop.
    Do.
    lv_indice_campo = lv_indice_campo + 1.
    ASSIGN COMPONENT lv_indice_campo OF STRUCTURE <fs_linea> TO <fs_campo>.
    IF sy-subrc EQ 0.
      MOVE <fs_campo> TO lv_valor_campo.
    ELSE.
      EXIT.
    ENDIF.
    Enddo.
    Hope i am clear.
    BR,
    Suhas

  • How to populate a dynamic table according to the choice of the viewer

    Hi there,
    I ran into a dead-end on my  "Events" page.
    There is a dynamic table getting the info from a database. It will initially show the Upcoming Events.
    At this point my question is this:
    *Can I populate the dynamic table based on a condition where the current date and the event date (as in the db) will be compared and if the event date is later than the current date, it will be displayed in the table. Otherwise, it won't.
    If I can do that, can someone please help me out with the code?
    Besides that, on the right side of the page there are 3 options for the viewer:
    1. View upcoming events
    2. View past events
    3. Search events by month and year
    What I want to do is that when the viewer clicks on 'past events', the table will be reset and populated with those events whose date has passed.
    When the viewer clicks on "upcoming events", the table is reset again and populated with the relevant events.
    When the viewer selects a month and a year, search the database to find the relevant records.
    Can all of this be written in php? Since I read smwhere that php doesn't work with onclick functions... i got confused. Cuz the data in my table will have to vary depending on what the viewer is clicking (upcoming events/past events/search events). I do not wish to create separate pages for each type of event.
    If anybody has a better suggestion to carry out this task, please share!
    Thanks!

    >Can I populate the dynamic table based on a condition where the current date and the event date (as in the db)
    >will be compared and if the event date is later than the current date, it will be displayed in the table. Otherwise, it won't.
    Of course. You just need to compare the date field in your database with the current date as returned by your DBMS date function. Assuming you are using MySQL, you would compare your column with the currdate() function and use the appropriate greater than/ less than operators in the SQL WHERE clause. If you don't know what a WHERE clause is then I would urge you to learn SQL as soon as possible. You can't build data driven sites without a basic understanding of SQL.
    >Since I read smwhere that php doesn't work with onclick functions..
    What this means is that php is a server side language, where user interactions always occur at the client site. But that does not mean you can't invoke a server side action from a client side event. You most certainly can and would.
    You might consider adding links to the dynamic table page that pass a querystring to the php script which determine what filter to add in the WHERE clause- greater than the current date, less than, etc.
    Also, in the future, please post these questions to the application development forum.

  • How can i insert into dynamic table  ?

  • Read a csv file, fill a dynamic table and insert into a standard table

    Hi everybody,
    I have a problem here and I need your help:
    I have to read a csv file and insert the data of it into a standard table.
    1 - On the parameter scrreen I have to indicate the standard table and the csv file.
    2 - I need to create a dynamic table. The same type of the one I choose at parameter screen.
    3 - Then I need to read the csv and put the data into this dynamic table.
    4 - Later I need to insert the data from the dynamic table into the standard table (the one on the parameter screen).
    How do I do this job? Do you have an example? Thanks.

    Here is an example table which shows how to upload a csv file from the frontend to a dynamic internal table.  You can of course modify this to update your database table.
