Dynamically changing row color in an ADF table?

Hi,
I am using Build JDEVADF_11.1.1.3.PS2_GENERIC_100408.2356.5660. Can anyone please let me know the code for dynamically changing the row color of an ADF table?
Thanks,
Vik

well you can use EL on af:column inlineStyle property to change the color on condition
e.g
inlineStyle='#{(row.SelectedRow)?"background-color: Silver":""};a example can be found here it is changing color based on Checkbox selection http://baigsorcl.blogspot.com/2010/06/deleting-multi-selected-rows-from-adf.html

  • Dynamic populate rows and columns in adf table

    Hi everybody !
    I have a query thats returns a unic value !
    and I want to populate an af:table with this value !
    i need to execute this query to get the values for each columns .... and jump to next row and continue to execute the query for new values of the columns of the new row !!!
    in backing bean ... im try to do someting like this :
    RichColumn coluna = new RichColumn();
    coluna.setId("id");
    HtmlOutputText out = new HtmlOutputText();
    out.setId("receive");
    out.setValue("Contas a Receber");
    coluna.getChildren().add(out);
    out = new HtmlOutputText();
    out.setId("pay");
    out.setValue("Contas a Pagar");
    coluna.getChildren().add(out);
    this.getTableFluxo().getChildren().add(coluna);
    but i get the same values for all the rows !!!!

    Hi there,
    If you use ADF BC you can make transient variable in the View Object and fill it in the get method,every time the
    get method is executed you will execute the query and change the value of the new transient variable.
    Even better solutions is to extend the query with this extra column and map the table with it.

  • Re: Is it possible to change row colors on array fields ors

    HI Martin!
    Yes, it is possible to change row colors on array fields.
    I have attached a PEX (tools.pex) which has an object which changes FillColor
    and PenColor for Arrays. The PEX has it's own test window, so you can try
    various combinations. (There are a few other Objects in the Project which are
    not relevant
    I'm not sure that you can change colors on individual choices in a scroll list.
    I haven't tried playing around with it.
    The test window actually changes the color of scroll lists as well.
    The object keeps track of which rows have changed color, same with pen color, so
    that when you scroll it keeps track of which rows are a different colors.
    The pex is self-contained, just import the file and do a test run.
    Please let me know if you have any problems.

    I need to create a list field that will allow me to dynamically change the

    you can't do that on scroll lists (the elements are list elements, and don't

  • How to get selected row data of an ADF table in HashMap?

    Hi,
    Can anyone please tell me how to selected row data of an ADF table in HashMap like :
    Object obj = pageTable.getSelectedRowData();
    JUCtrlHierNodeBinding rowData = (JUCtrlHierNodeBinding)obj;
    Now in above code I want the convert rowData in HashMap.
    Can anyone please tell me how to do that? Its urgent.

    Vik,
    No need to ask the same question 3 times...
    In [url http://forums.oracle.com/forums/message.jspa?messageID=4590586]this post, Nick showed you how to get the Row.
    If it were so urgent, you could have done a little reading of the javadocs to come up with code like this (not tested, up to you to do that)
    HashMap m = new HashMap();
    Row r = get it like Nick showed you to;
    Object values[]=r.getAttributeValues();
    String names[]=r.getAttributeNames();
    for (int i=0; i<r.getAttributeCount(); i++)
    m.put(names, values[i]);

  • Dynamically changing the color of nodes in a JTree

    I have created a JTree and want to dynamically change the color of some of the TreeNodes as my program runs. The JTree is displayed in a JPanel. There is an algorithm built into which identifies the nodes whose color I need to change. No user actions is performed (everythign is internal to the program).
    It seems that in the TreeCellRender only kicks in when the tree is first displayed. How do I get it to re-render the tree when the TreeModel changes? It seems that the Listeners are only looking for external user interactions.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

    I think I was a bit too vague in my question. Let me try again...
    I have changed an attribute in a node in a JTree. This attribute is changed after the tree was initially rendered, but while the program is still running. I want to tell the TreeCellRenderer to look again at this node since that attribute that was changed will effect how the node should be renderered. I tried using the nodeChanged() method, but it did not work (the colot of the node did not change). Any advise how I can do this?
    Thanks!

  • How to programmatically change the cell color of an ADF table ?

    Hi all,
    I have an ADF table with some fields on it. Depending on the value of a field named, say, "F1", I would like to change its background color.
    So far I can change the field color with this EL expression inside the InlineStyle table column property:
    font-size:medium; background-color:#{viewScope.myBean.setColor};
    where setColor is a bean function, in where I access the field "F1" via binding, parse its value, and return the right value - so far, so good.
    The bad thing is, the InlineStyle affects that field in all the rows of the table, while I would like to change only the field in the rows, which have that specific value in it.
    So for example having the rows:
    F1
    abc#1 ----> currently selected row
    cde#2
    efg#3
    I want to change the background color to all the F1 fields which have a "1" after the '#' and let the other "F1" row cells background color stay unchanged.
    But as you can imagine, the InlineStyle affect the "F1" background color in all the rows (assuming that the first row of the table is selected).
    So the question: how to access a single cell of a row in an ADF table, and programmatically change its background color ?
    So far I can iterate through the ADF table with:
    BindingContext bindingctx = BindingContext.getCurrent();
    BindingContainer bindings = bindingctx.getCurrentBindingsEntry();
    DCBindingContainer bindingsImpl = (DCBindingContainer) bindings;
    DCIteratorBinding dciter = bindingsImpl.findIteratorBinding("aTableIterator");//access the iterator by its ID value in the PageDef file
    RowSetIterator rsi = dciter.getRowSetIterator();
    System.out.println("rsi getrowcount = " rsi.getRowCount());+
    Row row = null;
    +if (rsi.getRowCount() > 0) {+
    row = rsi.getCurrentRow();
    System.out.println("row attr = " Arrays.toString(row.getAttributeNames()));+
    System.out.println("class : " row.getAttribute("F1").getClass().toString());+
    +}+
    +while (rsi.hasNext()) {+
    row = rsi.next();
    System.out.println("row attr = " Arrays.toString(row.getAttributeNames()));+
    +}+
    Regards,

    Hi,
    I mean a specific cell within a row.
    Here are two pictures that show an ADF table with two rows and some fields on it:
    https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=7D3084D8BF755808&id=7D3084D8BF755808!107&sc=documents#cid=7D3084D8BF755808&id=7D3084D8BF755808!107&sc=documents
    bild_A is what I have, bild_B is what I would like. Note that:
    in bild_A the first row contain a yellow background color for the field F4 and an orange background color for the field F5. This is correct, because F4 has an "1" at the end of its string value, and F5 has a "3" at the end. So far so good.
    But the second row (again, bild_A) has also the fields F4 with yellow background color, and the field F5 with orange background color, even if the value in both fields is 0.
    What is should be, is shown in bild_B.
    The problem is that the solution provided affects all the cells of the column, while I need to change the background color of a single cell, and leave the other unchanged (see bild_B).
    I hope that clarify a bit :)
    Sergio.

  • Change Default Sort Logic Of ADF Table?

    Hello All,

  • Changing row selection of a af:table component in a managed bean

    Hi,
    how can ich programmatically change the selected row of a <af:table> component within a managed bean class?
    I have a table which depends on the date settings of a <dvt:timeSelector> of a <dvt:lineGraph> component. Now when the timeSelector is moved to new dates the table should be refreshed by executing the query for the table again with the new dates. The problem is when the query of the table's view object is executed again the first row will be automatically selected after executing.
    Now I want to achieve that the last row I have selected will be selected again after moving the time selector.
    I searched already in the OTN Discussion Forum but didn't find a fitting solution.
    Thanks in advance!

    The problem is that executing the query moves the current roe to the first one.
    What you can do is to save the current row (its pk), execute the query and then set the current row to the pk of the saved selected one. Set the table attribute displayRow="selected" and set the selected row of the table to the now current row.
    One problem is that you have to be sure the last selected row is still in the record set of the new query result.

  • Changing Row Color In JTable !

    Hi friends
    I have two JTables. The first one has 7 columns and 10 rows (with data) but the second one is empty.
    The user can choose one row from first table and by pressing the ((copy)) button , copy that row to the second table. Is it possible to change the color of those rows(in the first table) that been copied to the second table. I mean if the user choose a row and copy then to the second table, the color of this row wold be changed.
    Can anybody help me with that??
    Thanks

    I think you are heading in the wrong direction here... you want to create a brand new DefaultTableCellRenderer and override the getTableCellRendererComponent method...
    public class MyRenderer extends DefaultTableCellRenderer {
      public Component getTableCellRendererComponent(JTable table, Object value,
                              boolean isSelected, boolean hasFocus, int row, int column) {
                  JLabel lbl = (JLabel) super.getTableCellRendererComponent(table, value, isSelected, hasFocus,
                               row, column);
                  //now I can change the background color depending on the row...
                  if (row == xxx) lbl.setBackground(Color.red);
    }Then use your new class on your table...
    <table.setDefaultRenderer(Object.class, new MyRenderer()); //the class must match what you TableModel returns for getColumnClass();Hope this helps,

  • Dynamically changing rows in JTable don't re-render themselves

    Hi all,
    I've created a customized JTable and component editors/renderers. I also created a class that dynamically inserts new rows into the JTable and can also move entire rows up and down in the JTable. Dynamic insertion is working fine, but I'm having a problem with dynamically moving the rows up and down. One of my implementations has a table with three columns, the first column is always a JLabel in a JPanel, the second column is a variety of custom editors, and the third column is a custom editor for a custom JButton. If I change the value of either column 2 or 3 and then try to change the rows position in the table (up/down), then the cell that was edited remains blank until I click anywhere in the row that has the blank cell. But if I edit either column 2 or 3 and then click on the cell for column 1 in the same row and dynamically change its position (up/down) then the cells are rendered correctly.
    I've tried numerous ways to fix this problem, including fireTableDataChanged() and repaint() on the component in the cell. Any help would be greatly appreciated,
    amlandis

    So I tried updating the UI, but that didn't fix it.
    Do you explictly call editor.stopCellEditing() ? That sets the new value to your model. I override all stop editing methods and make them call their cancelEditing counterparts... and during debugging I watch the model and it has the correct data. I think my table sometime gets stuck in an isEditing() == true state. But is there no way to say setEditing(false)?
    From the BasicTableUI below... it seems like if my table gets into its editing state, the cells won't be rendered.
        private void paintCell(Graphics g, Rectangle cellRect, int row, int column) {
            if (table.isEditing() && table.getEditingRow()==row &&
                                     table.getEditingColumn()==column) {
                Component component = table.getEditorComponent();
             component.setBounds(cellRect);
                component.validate();
            else {
                TableCellRenderer renderer = table.getCellRenderer(row, column);
                Component component = table.prepareRenderer(renderer, row, column);
                rendererPane.paintComponent(g, component, table, cellRect.x, cellRect.y,
                                            cellRect.width, cellRect.height, true);
        }

  • Changing row color through a drop down box????

    Is there a way I can get a table row to change color based on the value of a drop down box? I have 3 color options in the drop down list: yellow, green, red. I'm trying to get it so when I select a color in the list (like for example green) the whole row of that table fills with green. I'm searching for an answer and I can't find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks :)

    Check the code very carfully, you appear to have left off a number of quotes:
    // force to white in case there is no match following
    Page1.Shape.LeaveType.border.fill.color.value = "0,0,0";
    //changes row to red
    if(LeaveType.rawValue == 4) {
    Page1.Shape.LeaveType.border.fill.color.value = "255,0,0";
    //change row to Green
    if(LeaveType.rawValue == 3) {
    Page1.Shape.LeaveType.border.fill.color.value = "0,128,0";
    //change row to Blue
    if(LeaveType.rawValue==2) {
    Page1.Shape.LeaveType.border.fill.color.value = "0,0,255";
    //keep row white
    if(LeaveType.rawValue == 1) {
    Page1.Shape.LeaveType.border.fill.color.value = "0,0,0";
    Or you could use the "swithc(){}" statement:
    var FillColor = "0,0,0"; // white
    switch(LeaveType.rawValue) {
    case 4:
    FillColor = "255,0,0"; // red
    break;
    case 3:
    FillColor = "0,128,0"; // green
    break;
    case 2:
    FillColor = "0,0,255"; // blue
    break;
    case 1:
    break;
    default:
    app.alert("Unkown Leave Type: " + LeaveType.rawValue, 1, 1); // identify unkown leave type
    break;
    Page1.Shape.LeaveType.border.fill.color.value = FillColor;
    You might want to also open Acrobat and check the Debugging Conosole for errors.

  • Change row color

    I am developing an application using Oracle 6i Forms and Developer,and i am new to it.
    I have a datablock on a canvas and i am trying to do sth:
    When the user clicks on a row of the datablock,the entire row background color should change to green and all the other rows to color grey.
    What trigger should i use to make this?
    Thanks

    Indeed,
    The block level will also change the color of buttons.
    In case of the rest of rows gray, what you can do is by default set the background color to gray and override it with the current record visual attribute at block or item level.
    Regards,
    Tony
    PS: You can also use the CURRENT_RECORD_ROW_BACKGROUND_COLOR to set the background color of the selected row.
