hi expert,
actually i want all the variable of smartform in one table.
so i crated ztable,
my logo is in database i want to fetch the logo from z table .
(v_logo logo name in table how can i fetch logo from database with refrence of email id of person)
so plz suggest me step by step method.
i am working on hr module.
condition is if pernr (person)email id chang logo is also change both fields are in one table .

This is very simple, create all the logo's with the actual name of the person or perner.
Use a select query on your table and pass the value of the seleceted record as the name of the graphic in the smartform node.
Something like this:
MAPPING TABLE"
PERNER    IMAGE_NAME
0001           0001
0002           0002
in se78, you logo name should be '0001' , '0002' and so on....
in smartform, based on ur pernr, select a record from mapping table and pass the value of the image name to a variable in the graphics display node.
this should solve your prob.

Hi,
I have uploaded company logo and i am using this logo in my Z*PO smart form, during printpreview it is showing correctly (the alignment and resolution), if i print that, the logo alignment is not proper, it is coming down than what i am aligned, the placement is perfect in printpreview.
Let me know, is there any other setting that i need to make.

Printing LOGO on smartform based on Printer

Hi All,
I want to print LOGO on my smartform(PO) based on a Printer which i am using.If i use one perticular printer(PRIMO) i should get the LOGO and for other Printers it should not appear.Will it be possibel to control the printing based on a printer condition? if yes please suggest me where i can add these conditions.

Based on the device type in OUTPUT_OPTIONS in smartforms interface find out the printer name and write logic for printing appropriate LOGO in smartform.

Inserting Logo in SmartForm
Follow the given steps in order to add a logo,
1) In Smart Forms Editor, In left pane, right Click any Page (say Page1) and select Create -> Window, Give it a name and Description (Say Window1)
2) Right Click on Window (Window 1) and select Create -> Graphics, Give it a name and description
3) In general Attributes, Select Name, get search help (F4) , you will find a list of pictures
4) Select any picture and set its Resolution in DPI
5) Press F9 to open Smart Forms Builder, Select window (Window1) and In Output options window set, size and position of the Logo
6) Set any other parameters if required, save and activate.
7) If there is only 1 Window in the forms, set it as Main Window in general attributes.
8) User TCode SE78 to upload new pictures and logos.

Urgent : Barcode Printing porblem in smartforms.

Hi Experts,

I am be able to see the barcode in print-preview but while i am taking the print of that smartform it shows the value of that barcode...
How to solve this problem?

when i am seeing the barcode in print-preview it is showing the black color rectangles... it seems like barcode but its not giving the output of exact code39 barcode...
How to solve this proble ?

1. go to SE73.
2. choose SYSTEM BAR CODES radio button and then press CHANGE.
3. in the following screen press CREATE. a popup screen will show.
4. you can choose either OLD or NEW barcode technology. I'll go with NEW.
5. name your barcode. I usually choose Z + customer's company name for marketing reasons. continue.
6. choose the symbology. This information should be provided from the person handling the barcode machine itself. We'll go with the popular code 128 for this example. continue.
7. barcode alignment - choose the one that fits your form best. continue.
8. barcode parameters - again, choose the one that fits your form best. continue.
9. save the barcode.
moving on to SMARTFORMS transactions.
go into the smartform style you're using, or create a new one.
1. create a new character format. I usually name it BC for barcode
2. on the second box (barcode) of the first tab (standard settings), you can now choose the barcode you created.
3. save and exit.
and that's about it. from now on, when choosing the style with the barcode in it, you have the option to applying your barcode font to a text the same way you apply any other font.
Hope this helps. There are other ways probably, but this one works for certain. The only problem I had with it, was when using hebrew fonts and barcode together on a zebra printer from the early nineties.

hi Krishna,
This printer does not support ZPL2 so I thnk you cnnot use the device types like LZEB2. It should work to print via windows and a device type like SAPWIN or SWINCF.

Using SSF_OPEN and SSF_CLOSE, is it possible to print the next smartform in the same page?

I'm using SSF_OPEN and SSF_CLOSE, to print multiple smartforms. In between SSF_OPEN and SSF_CLOSE, there is a loop at a smartform. The output prints each smartform in different pages. Is it possible to print the second smartform in the first page since there is still space for printing there?

Hi Jack,
As per my knowledge,
you can't print two smartform in single page because smart form having own page-size.
If your layout page is A4 size then first layout print in A4 page and next layout will be go-to next print page. but if you have different kind of page size for both layout then you can control from printer side then that case both page will be printed in single print page.

Enable print button in print preveiw of smartform

Hi All,
I have a requirment to display the spool. (print program and smartform). But while displaying the spool the PRINT option in menu and PRINT button is not active in the output. Is there any way to enable the print option while displaying a spool.
I am using the following function module for dispalying the spool.
'RSPO_RID_SPOOLREQ_DISP'.
Is there any particular parameter i need to pass while calling the smartform ?
Please give some suggestions...

Check the tcode SPAD
Click on Full Administration Push Button
and Check Device Types tab.
All the Print control options of the spool are maintained.

Standard text printing missing on Smartform

Hi All,
I am using standard text in Smartform.
Standard text contains 'terms and conditions' hence it's used for printing in second page.
For printing standard text one window other than Main window has been created in second page.
Now when I am taking print preview of smartform only two pages are visible and on second page complete standard text is not displayed. As standard text is of two pages then rest missing text should come on third page as a continuity.
But missing standard text is not getting diplayed.
Any suggestion what shall we do to print complete standard text.

I tried to use the 2nd option provided by you but still this prolem is not resolved.
Missing Standard text is not going in a new page.
I tried to expand the window size and now entire text is coming in a single page. But by this way page window is not same as in a first page.
Is there any otherway to print the rest missing text in next page of the smartform.

select your logo in tcode se78 and check if it is color or black and white logo , after that copy your smartfrom to zsmartfrom then goto tocde samrtfrom and click the logo window and change the name.
otherwise goto smartform check logo name and upload the new logo with same name . it will disply new logo. before overwrite the logo check this logo was using some other forms alao..

Create a Logo Node and fill the information in the right side under general attributes.

Urgent!! Printing Barcode using smartforms

req: need to print barcode using smartforms.
【Settings】
The following settings are made already
1. Style ( paragraph, character type(Syatem Barcode ) )is created and activated (T-code:Smartforms)
2. In the smartform I used the above style to print barcode .
※TEXTTYPE = TEXT ELEMENT.
【Execution】
1. I run the smartform in test mode with setting any print parameters
2. Trigger print preview
【Problem】
1. I am getting only BAR's no barcodes.
The bracodes are not displayed properly.
If I test the same system barcode in SE73 it displayed properly.
Is there anyother settings are necessory?

To Create a Bar code prefix:
1) Go to T-code - SPAD -> Full Administration -> Click on Device Type -> Double click the device for which you wish to create the print control -> Click on Print Control tab ->Click on change mode -> Click the plus sign to add a row or prefix say SBP99 (Prefix must start with SBP) -> save you changes , it will ask for request -> create request and save
2) Now when you go to SE73 if you enter SBP00 for you device it will add the newly created Prefix
Create a character format C1.Assign a barcode to the character format.Check the check box for the barcode.
The place where you are using the field value use like this
<C1> &itab-field& </C1>.
You will get the field value in the form of barcode.
Which barcode printer are you using ? Can you download this file and see.

Detailed information about SAP Barcodes
A barcode solution consists of the following:
- a barcode printer
- a barcode reader
- a mobile data collection application/program
A barcode label is a special symbology to represent human readable information such as a material number or batch number
in machine readable format.
There are different symbologies for different applications and different industries. Luckily, you need not worry to much about that as the logistics supply chain has mostly standardized on 3 of 9 and 128 barcode symbologies - which all barcode readers support and which SAP support natively in it's printing protocols.
You can print barcodes from SAP by modifying an existing output form.
Behind every output form is a print program that collects all the data and then pass it to the form. The form contains the layout as well as the font, line and paragraph formats. These forms are designed using SAPScript (a very easy but frustratingly simplistic form format language) or SmartForms that is more of a graphical form design tool.
Barcodes are nothing more than a font definition and is part of the style sheet associated with a particular SAPScript form. The most important aspect is to place a parameter in the line of the form that points to the data element that you want to represent as barcode on the form, i.e. material number. Next you need to set the font for that parameter value to one of the supported barcode symbologies.
