E-Filing - HMRC Dev Certificates.

Hi,
I would lilke to do some testing with regards to efiling interfaces with HMRC.
Where do i get the certificates to be loaded into STRUST?
Should i open the link and save copy on the certificates from the link https://secure.dev.gateway.gov.uk/submission.
Should i import in *.cer in the SM59?

As I understand it In Year Movements uses the same EOYR outgoing e-filing setup - assuming you have EOYR Outgoing e-filing setup which is detailed in the existing guides on www.service.sap.com/hrgb then "In Year movements" with the existing Business Connector configuration should be possible
Just an FYI there has been a recent addition to /hrgb in the form of an In Year Movement WMV guide it might also be worth looking at this guide as well in case there has been further updates or developments in this area

SDK 3.0 : code signing error : more than one certificate for my profile ?!

Hi all,
Since I installed the SDK3 with OS3.0, I'm not able to develop on the device because of a provisionning profile issue.
So, I've revoked all my certificates, created properly a new dev certificate, associated to a developer provisioning profile. Every-thing's fine at this step.
But in my app, when a assign this profile (also added in the iPhone), and I build, i get a code signing error which indicates that the associated certificate for the iPhone Developer: xxxx is more than once in my keychain !!??
I've checked the keychain and there is only ONE iphone certificate. So, i really don't understand !
I've redone this step few times, to be sure... But still the same issue !
Any clue ?

I installed SDK 3.0 yesterday and was about to remove and re-install certificate today, until I found this thread.
SDK 3.0 seems to have problems with handling provisioning profiles. If you use Xcode in Japanese, the provisioning profiles are shown as "?" in the popup menu, while if you start Xcode in English, the correct provisioning profiles are selectable.
First, I had the "?" issue, then after I switched the language to English, I faced this "more than one certificate in the keychain" problem ...

Do I need a new certificate when updating the viewer?

I think I remember reading that it's not necessary to have a new certificate for updating an existing viewer on an already published app. Is this correct?

[I assume you mean Android market dev certificates or Apple Developer certficate and mobile provisioning profile]
you don't need a new certificate; just sign your updated app with a valid certificate; make sure that:
* the bundleID (applicationID) is the same as the app you had published
* The marketing version in viewer builder is a higher number than the one on the app store

Apple certificates jungle. Help?

I've prepared on DPS three renditions of a magazine we're going to publish on behalf of a client. Everything works properly up to the viewer builder. Then, I get into trouble. In order to publish, I need to collect a developer provisional profile, a distribution provisional profile, a developer P12 certificate, a distribution P12 certificate, and (is it compulsory with a pro edition??) apple push certificates.
This client had already published a first issue of his magazine with another developer (not using DPS). He has therefore a distribution certificate for this mag. Have I got to create a dev certificate using his account or mine?
Have I got to create a new distribution certificate for the new DPS based mag or should I use the one already used?
I've spent my whole sunday on that and I'm getting mad...

We had the same dilemma with one of my clients.
They already published an App through their own developer account and now we were asked to generate a DPS viewer for them.
At the end, what we've done is we used Team Viewer to remotely connect to their certificate issuing Mac computer and
- generated (export) the existing developer and distribution p12s
- issued CSRs for the developer and production APNS certificates
- generated the APNS p12s.
The mobileprovion certificates for the App are the least problem as they need no CSRs and are issued directly from the iOS Provisioning Portal.

Stuck in Certificate Hell

My certificates may be a tangled mess, and I need advice on how to clean everything up.
I recently published a folio to an existing multi-folio app. All fine there (app update shows up in Newsstand), but when I attempted to use NOTIFY, the process failed because one of my push certificates had expired only days earlier. This is the sequence of events that followed:
• In the developer portal, I deleted the expired cert and created a new one, hoping that would remedy the situation. It did not, as NOTIFY again failed.
• I then attempted to troubleshoot my certificates on the portal, creating a duplicate or two in the process. This may have created more issues.
• Back in the DPS portal, I found that Notifications allows updating or adding Push certificates through a dialogue box. I entered my new certs and their passwords, but got an error stating the Distribution Certificate was not valid (the new Development Cert appeared to work fine).
• I decided to simply edit the app and try resubmitting. I finished the updated build of the app in DPS App Builder. At this point I tried to Download the Development version to test out, but after entering my Dev certificate, Mobilevision files and password, I received an error message stating that my Development certificate was not recognized. The Distribution certs were recognized and the version downloaded with no problem.
Here are my questions:
1) Would it be safe to delete or revoke all certificates in my Apple Developer portal, delete all certs and keys from my Keychain, and recreate them all? Is there another approach that seems more feasible, considering that I may have duplicate certs/keys both locally and on the Dev portal?
2) Would deleting and starting with fresh certs and keys affect the Multi-folio App currently on the App Store in any way?
3) As an incidental issue — when updating PUSH (APNs) certificates in the DPS portal, the dialogue box asks for Development and Distribution APNs certificates. However, on the Apple side, the Developer portal allows for Development and Production certs to be created. Is this a terminology inconsistency, or am I missing something? (I do know, of course, that Distribution certs are created on the Apple Dev side, but they do not seem to be tied to Push services).
Any assistance or sound advice here would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for the complicated description but it feels like a complicated problem.

If your push certificate has expired, you should be able to modify it and download it from the Apple developer portal and then upload it using the DPS Dashboard. Doing that should allow you to send notifications. There is no need to submit a new version of the app. Push notifications aren't part of the app itself.
1) Yes, it's safe to revoke your DPS certs and keys from the developer portal and keychain. I've done this several times for my apps. It isn't necessary, but it's fine.
2) No, deleting the certs has no effect on the app in the store.
3) Yes, there is a terminology oddity. "Distribution" and "Production" refer to the same thing.
Try re-creating your Production (Distribution) push certificate, and then upload it to the Notifications section of the DPS Dashboard. You don't need to change any of your other certificates. If that doesn't work, I think your best bet is to call Adobe Enterprise support. The phone number is listed on the main page when you sign in to the DPS Dashboard.

Custom STS trust issue with SharePoint

This is my first time creating a custom STS and I've been running into some problems with it. I'm using VS 2012 on SharePoint 2013.
I have created a custom STS that I’d like to use to authenticate users to SharePoint. I created simple stand along web-application that I was using to test logging in with the STS and it seemed to work fine. The environment I’m using is as below:
A single App/WFE dev server. SQL is separate.
A custom STS site that I deployed to the server. I gave it the URL
http://customsts.dev I added an entry to the local hosts file for it.
I used PluralSight’s SelfCert 3<sup>rd</sup> party tool to create a new certificate. I added that cert to the Trusted Root Certification Authorities and also to the SharePoint Certificates stores on the server via the MMC.
I use the certificate Key for signing the claim in the STS.
I created a sample stand-alone Non-SharePoint web site to log in using the STS and it seems to work.

I created a SharePoint web-application and called it http://servername:1111.
Next I ran the following powershell set up a new trusted identity provider in SharePoint:

I set the customsts.dev as the Trusted Identity Provider for the web-app at 1111.
I noticed that when I try to log into the web-application, I get the option to pick the authentication, and then get redirected to the login page of the customsts.dev STS. When I attempt to log in, I get routed back to SharePoint and see this error in

Problem rebuilding VMWare Workstation 10.0.2 Modules

Hi,
today I updated my Kernel to 3.14.2-1 and wanted to rebuild the modules for VMware Workstation 10.0.2. Doing so causes the following error.
I used this patch before http://pastie.org/pastes/9090538/.
Has there been major changes between 3.14.1-1 and 3.14.2-1 which cause this problems? It worked before. Someone else experiences this?

my automatic Adobe Flash Player updated tried to install Google Chrome without giving me the opporltunity to opt out?

I witnessed this myself two nights ago while testing an upgrade in Windows 7.
It HAS been reported to development, but... like 99% of the people here, we (myself and the MVP user who reported it) are just Adobe users like you, so reporting it with screenshots was the best we can do.
I use Chrome myself, but only for testing webpages I build, and I've never used their toolbar, because it's an open portal for malware... hence the report filed with DEV.
All we can do now is cross our fingers and hope they have it worked out by the next update cycle.

I am able to see data in RSA3 for 0Customer_attr - ZZCTPLC filed in Dev system.
When I transported the things to Quality, it shows me blank field.
I have checked that extract structur eis active, Include is active but it shows blank.
Even in debugg mode it does not stop at braek-point given in exit code, while same works fine in Dev system.
Please suggest the solution.

Update existing app to support PUSH notifications?

Please can someone confirm this - I need to update an existing app (using an APP ID with a wildcard) to support PUSH notifications. For this I need to have a non-wildcard APP-ID. However now the question is that if I change the APP-ID to be something else, will the App Still update fine (the one using a Wildcard APP-ID). I don't want customers/users to pay for the app again! Please kindly clarify.

Basically when you create a provisioning profile (dev/distribution), you need to associate that with an App ID. Since in the past all our apps were provisioned with a certificate that was tied to an App-ID that was something like com.blah.* we are now unable to use this App-ID for PUSH notifications.
Requirement for PUSH Notifications is to first setup an App-ID for PUSH. Here's where the problem is. If we create a new App-ID for PUSH, we will have to generate a new Distrib/Dev certificate and sign the Application with that certificate. If we do this, existing customers (I believe) will not be able to (1) update their app, OR (2) we won't be able to issue an update to an existing App since the Distrib Certs don't match (nor do the App-IDs) - at least that's my understanding.
I'm worried this all is going to go terribly wrong somewhere. Can someone who's already updated an existing app for PUSH confirm there's nothing to worry about?

How do I install Flash Player without Chrome/Chrome Toolbar - where is the Opt out?

I witnessed this myself two nights ago while testing an upgrade in Windows 7.
It HAS been reported to development, but... like 99% of the people here, we (myself and the MVP user who reported it) are just Adobe users like you, so reporting it with screenshots was the best we can do.
I use Chrome myself, but only for testing webpages I build, and I've never used their toolbar, because it's an open portal for malware... hence the report filed with DEV.
All we can do now is cross our fingers and hope they have it worked out by the next update cycle.

Valid Signing identity not found.

I can able to use the dev provisioning after revoking the developer certificate. All the dev certificates are showing modify status. So no issue with any certificates, y becoz all are dev certificates.
Distribution:
I have already submitted one app in the app store with version 1.2. Now, I wanna release 1.3 version, but while installing the distribution provisionings. It is showing "Valid Signing identity not found" error. I don't have choice to take the p12 from my old. Only one option revoke, I think. If I revoke the distribution certificate, will it resolves my issue. If I revoke, can we upload versions for existing one. How can i resolve my issue "Valid Signing identity not found."

Application Loader unable to unzip .ipa file

I am developing under Flash Professional CS5, working on a PC. Using the development distribution files, my application builds and I can run it on iPhone, iPad, and iPod. Now I am trying to get it to the App Store. I have a distribution certificate which I got before Apple pulled the plug, and was able then to just change the extension to .zip and upload to the App Store (where of course it got stuck until now). This week I rejected my binary in the store, and built an updated version. You can't just upload to the App Store any more; you need to use the Apple Application Loader. This, of course, only runs on a Mac. So, I downloaded and installed the latest version on my Mac. transferred the .ipa to a memory stick, and gave it to the Loader.
I get this curt message "Unable to unzip application"
I have tried renaming it to .zip.
I have tried extracting the Payload and zipping that up again (different error but still no good)
Has anyone else got any applications built on a PC uploaded recently? Please tell what you did

I had almost the same problem. I'm on OS X though. I have my issue solved but it took a lot of trial and error. There were enough clues on this thread though to get me there so thanks everyone. Here's what I went through and what I've discovered:
I compile with Flash CS5
(I was trying Christian's way on the commandline but I forget why I couldn't get it to work, must try it again now. ref:

This creates my .ipa file. I don't know if I need to use the commandline, but I did in order to rename the .ipa file to a .zip file. I then double clicked the .zip in the Finder which unzips it with the default OS X app, not 7 zip or something third party. This produces a folder called Payload. If my swf is set in Flash to publish to Main.swf, then inside Payload I see Main.app
I zip Main.app by right clicking it in the Finder and select the Compress option, again, default OS X compression stuff.
This is the correct way to create the ipa file, and produce the kind of zip file that Application Loader wants.
Along the way, I encountered some other distracting problems. I'll explain those now, but they are not related to the actual ipa/zip/unzip problem.
I had two errors, one about a bad bundle ID. This was in fact a typo I had by one letter. In my case it was ca.abcd.abcs in iTunes Connect, and in Flash CS5's settings, it was ca.abcd.abc. That was a forehead slapper I tell you.
The other error was my app not being signed with a proper certificate. I knew I was using my app store certificate, not my dev certificate (this is important btw). I tried revoking my certificate in the app store as @JimmyInteractive mentioned, but I don't think in my case this was necessary. I still had the same issue after revoking. Avoid this if you can because it's a pain in the a$$ to set up all your provisioning profiles again on iTunes Connect and in Keychain, XCode etc. Prior to trying to get everything up onto the app store, I had of course been developing on my personal device, with my developer certificate. What I forgot to do for app store distribution, is in Flash CS5 change Certificate to my app store .p12 file. I still had it set to my dev .p12 file. Doh!
After I did that and figured out the zipping stuff it all worked. Hope this helps!

I tried to download an e-filing client software from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) website [http://www.wipo.int/pct-safe/en/download/download_client.htm] using Firefox. Clicking the link to download yielded no activity. I eventually tried the same link in internet explorer and it worked. This occurred last week. I have a deadline to complete an international patent filing today; and in order to do so online, I had to request a Secure Digital ID from WIPO. It was approved and received early this morning (Central European Time Zone); and the accompanying guidelines suggested that I use the same computer and browser to retrieve the ID. This meant that since I use Firefox as my default browser my request was also made and had to be retrieved in Firefox. Following the WIPO support instructions I ran into exactly the same problem of inactivity when trying to "Backup" my newly installed ID certificate per WIPO instruction, so that it may be imported into the e-filing software. Please help as soon as you can as my patent deadline is merely hours away. Please also see a response from the WIPO helpdesk below:

Just to follow up on my findings. My last issue regarding the digital certificate was not at the time of initial download into Firefox, but my application required that I backup the certificate into a folder which can then be accessed to sign a submission generated by a third-party Client software.
After finally steering away from the digital signing route by opting for a non digital filing of my project, I later revisited the Firefox certificates list only to find that the 'Backup' button still didn't work or respond in any way whatsoever; however since I only had a single certificate on my list... I threw my hand up in the air and tried the 'Backup All' button... guess what - that worked!! My browser then navigated to a file browser which allowed me to save the certificate to a folder of my choice. Of course this was after the fact as my deadline had already passed and and I had the Administrator who initially granted my secure ID revoke it once I was blocked from downloading it by Firefox.
Just an update/FYI for y'all... But I'm not sure if this type of anomoly is due to a glitch on my computer or a glitch on the browser - but it certainly did catch me off-guard during a deadline.

E-filing for In Year Movements to HMRC

Hi,
We are on SAP version 5.00 (ERP 2004) and wish to use e-filing for In Year Movements to HMRC. Currently, e-filing is set up to send End of Year data via SAP Business Connector version 4.7. Do we need to set up any more message types for this? I was using the user guide for efiling from 2005. Is there a later version of this guide containing details for In Year Movements?

As I understand it In Year Movements uses the same EOYR outgoing e-filing setup - assuming you have EOYR Outgoing e-filing setup which is detailed in the existing guides on www.service.sap.com/hrgb then "In Year movements" with the existing Business Connector configuration should be possible
Just an FYI there has been a recent addition to /hrgb in the form of an In Year Movement WMV guide it might also be worth looking at this guide as well in case there has been further updates or developments in this area
