E-mail attachment problem of ios 4.3

I have the exchange 2010 mail account and recived by iPhone, everything okay before I upgrade the IOS to 4.3...
Now I upgrade the IOS to 4.3, my iPhone can't open the attachment by 3G, it can download, you can see it will finish download job but can't open, or need to waiting 10-15min. (only open the file, not download time...)
I try to using wifi open the attactment(new mail), everything okay...
Anyone know what happen and how to fix it?
Thank you

Ok, I think I have tracked down the reason this is happening and I have also found a solution to the problem.
Cause:
If you copy your itunes music library from one machine to another using the finder (copying the directory ~/Music/iTunes) you will have 2 machines sharing the same library ID. This appears to cause the ipad and iphone running ios 4.3 to be unable to distinguish the 2 libraries and it ends up showing just one of them.
Solution:
Use this KB (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1451) to force itunes to rebuild your itunes library. This have resolved the problem for me and I can now see all 3 copies of my itunes library at the same time.
OBS!
Be aware that if you follow this solution you and you are syncing a IOS device against the library you are rebuilding the IOS device will do a full re sync since it believes the library to be a new one.

  • Mail attachment problem with IP TUNNELING

    Hi
We are an Isp and we have two links separatly from two different service provider, one is for Send traffic and another one for recive traffic, we use simple Gre tunnle and configure it in our router ,the tunnel is active and everything seems works fine ,but when users want to use mail attachment like yahoo mail attachment they have problem : yahoo ask them to attach files they can browse and choose files after that when they want to finish ,the yahoo attachment page process opened and never finish it s job !!!!!!!
    please help.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
this sounds like you are having MTU problems due to the GRE overhead. You can try to fix this with the command
    ip tcp adjust-mss ! f.e. 1400
on the tunnel interfaces. The riouter will intercept TCP MSS negotiation and allow only TCP segments small enough to fit through the tunnel.
Hope this helps! Please rate all posts.

  • Zip file Mail attachment download in ios 7

    Hi
I have downlaoded a zip file attachment from my Mail in ios 7 on Iphone. I am not able to locate the location of the file.
Please help me in locating the file.
    Thanks

    Hi,
as I found this in wikipedia:
Another common problem is the use of '\n' when communicating using an Internet protocol that mandates the use of ASCII CR+LF for ending lines. Writing '\n' to a text mode stream works correctly on Windows systems, but produces only LF on Unix, and something completely different on more exotic systems. Using "\r\n" in binary mode is slightly better, as it works on many ASCII-compatible systems, but still fails in the general case. One approach is to use binary mode and specify the numeric values of the control sequence directly, "\x0D\x0A".
    Back to my issue:
In the UDF I am adding "\r\n" but only the "\n" seems to survive!
In Mapping test line feeds are available and the lines are shown as expected.
Using Notepad ++ to open the created txt file from the mail shows that LF is in the file at each end of line but CR is missing.
CR is only at the end of the last line in the file and is not from the UDF that creates the mail or the UDF that creates the attachment lines. Seems that this is added somewhere else behind the mapping.
This is what I found in galileo computing
(http://www.galileocomputing.de/glossar/gp/anzeige-11241/FirstLetter-Z, SORRY, only available in german language!):
In Parsing of XML-Documents the XML-Parser changes the end of line delimiter internally in general to a simple line feed (LF, #0A) as usual in UNIX. ..... In Windows this could result in problems with readability of  source texts (e.g. in Notepad) which can be solved by choosing the right editor.
My target application is on Windows and not able to "choose" the right editor (PI system is on windoes OS too) !
But Im wondering where the CR at the end of the text comes from when all the \r\n will be replaced with \n as described.
    Ideas are really welcome!
    Best regards
    Dirk

  • Mime-attachment problems on iOS 6.1.3

    Hello all,
I have a problem with multiple iPads running iOS 6.1.3. that I can reproduce every time, and would like to verify whether anyone else can confirm that behavior.
    Environment:
    - Apple iPad 4th Generation, Wi-Fi, 32 GB
    - Apple iPad 4th Generation, Wi-Fi + 3G, 64 GB
    - both iPads run iOS 6.1.3
    - open Outlook 2013 on local PC, select any two e-mails and click forward (those two e-mails will be added as attachments to new message ... extension .eml).
    - add another attachment (e.g. pdf file) to that new message and send it to e-mail address of account that you configured in your iPad Mail app.
    - open received e-mail through your iPad Mail app. Click "Download full message". When download completes, open "mime-attachment". Mail app crashes / closes.
    What I've tried:
    - turn on/off iPad (soft/hard (restart))
    - removed e-mail account from iPad and added e-mail account again
    - turned off all running applications, started Mail app ...
Multiple iPhones running iOS 6.1.3 successfully display "mime-attachment" from e-mails created in described way.
    Thanks, MS

  • 10.4.7 and Mail Attachment problem

The 10.4.7 update has caused major problems for me, on several different Macs. When I send an email to a Windows user, they tell me that the attachment didn´t come through.
I had this problem with some Outlook users before, but now it seems to affect everybody. I found similar problems on a couple of other Mac-forums.

I just recieved an email from F-Secure, after I told them, that no attachments sent from Mail (after 10.4.7) go through to F-Secure / Windows users.
They have investigated the problem and reported this:
The attachments MIME header has the following fields: name and filename.
For some reason Mail removes the blank spaces from the name field but leaves the filename field untouched. These differences in the fields make F-Secure remove the attachment (alarm).
One "fix" is removing the blank spaces from the filename, for example File 1.pdf >> File1.pdf. But this in not easy computing. Everything works just fine with 10.4.6 and before, but 10.4.7 >> is causing the problems.

  • Mail attachment problems

Trying to open an attached email on a mail I forwarded to my iPhone5s from my PC. File reads mime-attachment and just loops everytime I click to to open. My wife's iPhone 5 has no problems opening the mail. Why is this happening on my 5s
There should be a PDF and a word document to be available.

    Steph,
None of this should be happening, especially given that you have switched to Plain Text. The easiest way for me to analyze the issue, is to see a test email, sent in exactly the same way as you would do with one of the people not able to open the attachment.
My email address can be found by clicking on my name to the left, and looking in the bio line of my Profile.

    Dear All,
My mailing programs have started sending .dat file instead of .xls file. Earlier it used to go properly in .xls format.

After 6.10 and higher version,  SAP recommends not to use the FM SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1. The issue could be because of that. check with the SAP note 190699

  • Mail attachment problem

How can I stop some pdf attachments from appearing as the full document and not as an icon when creating a new message in Mail?

OK, that's where the info is "published." And I'm perfectly happy to let both of you have another "box!" As far as I'm concerned, Apple owes each of you an added 'star.' This is just an example of why so many of us have given up on the "Help" files included with most Apple apps, IMHO. This info seems to have been around for over a year but has not, as far as I know been added to the Mail Help info.
I'm aware that every nuance of every action of every app is impossible to publish, much less be maintained. But it does seem that most third-party developers do a much better job of making these kinds of things known than Apple. Perhaps I just expect more from a multi*-*Billion dollar company... 8-| Oh well, everything can't be purfeck lyk mee!!!

  • Mail attachment problems on iPad and iPhone

When I receive an email any attachments do not appear on my iPad or iPhone but only on my mac. The paperclip symbol appears but no attachment can be seen. It is a hotmail account which I have set up to my iPad and iPhone and it has worked previously.

No particular reason I know of they should be available (but admittedly, I don't use Hotmail). Some basic troubleshooting you might try:
    Delete and reinstall teh account
Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.

  • Mail attachment saving problem

    Hi,
When I tried to save a Mail attachment today I got the following warning:
Mail was unable to save the attachment “File.numbers” to disk. Please verify your downloads folder exists and is writable.
The warning must be wrong because other attachments, even of the same kind, can be saved without problems. I observed that only such files are effected which contain subdirectories like numbers, keynote, etc. and my suspicion is, that the saving problems may come from wrong file reading/writing rights within these subdirectories, that the sender of the Mail may have imposed to prevent unwanted changes to his/her file. May this be so? Otherwise, what else?
    (MacOs X 10.5.6, Mail.app 3.5 and, in this particular case, Numbers08)
Thanks for for help in advace!
    Joe.

    Hi Kappy,
Nothing at all. No error message but no copying either, and no change in the curser appearance when dragging to the Desktop.
When I go to Mail --> Message --> Forward as Attachment, the attachment in the composer window can be saved like a normal file and has an appropriate size, eg. the desired original file seems to be contained in there. However, I have no Idea how to extract the original .numbers file from that.
    Strange, isn't it?
    Thanks,
    Joe.

  • New Line Character problem in mail attachment

    Hi all,
my xi-box is in patch level 16. i need to send the mapped xml as a pipe delimited file(a lineitem per line) attachment to a mail id. so i use MTB to content convert the payload and attach the content as an attachment using a custom module and send the mail. Since the naming convention of the attachment (as per my requirement) says the file should be a .txt file, i 've used text/plain as the content-type.
if i open the attachment in textpad or wordpad i can see one lineitem per line; but if i open it with notepad its not the case.lineitems do not appear in separate lines but appear continuously. i 'm seeing a box character as a separator between the lineitems. i'm not able to figure it out why.
i used MTB in file adapter and content converted the payload and opened the file in notepad;it was fine.
But i'm not able to figure out why its happening with the mail attachment. If you have come across such a problem please suggest me to solve this.
    Regards,
    Sundararamaprasad

Is there any way you can send the file in an ASCII format instead of BINARY format. In many of my resolved cases I just change from binary to ascii and it works for eg., while doing FTP.

  • Problems with specifying File Extension of E-Mail attachment

    Hi everybody
I have a problem that seems to be so simple that it almost drives me crazy that I cannot find a solution for it.
I need to send the content of an internal table (some lines) as a mail attachment to a specified mail address.
The format should be normal ASCII, so when I open it with any text editor (e.g. Notepad),  I want to have all my lines there (including CR/LF).
The problem now is - The extension of this mail attachment must be ".key", so the attached file should have the name "L_12345.key" (for example).
    For E-Mailing I use FM "SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1".
This part works fine, also the attachment part works in general.  (I receive the mail and I receive the attachment).
BUT I get either an attachment with the name "L_12345.txt" or "L_12345.key.txt" and in correct format, or I get an attachment "L_12345.key", where the name is correct but format is wrong (no CR/LF - everything in one line).
    Example:
    =======
    Attachment-Content should be:
    Line 1
    Line 2
    Line 3
Name of Attachment should be: L_12345.key
    What I tried:
    TEST 1 **
Declare Attachment in Packing list. ..
      ls_packing_list-transf_bin   = ' '.
      ls_packing_list-head_start   = 1.
      ls_packing_list-head_num     = 0.
      ls_packing_list-body_start   = 7.  "Startline of Attachment
      ls_packing_list-body_num     = 3.  "No of Attachment lines
      ls_packing_list-doc_type     = 'RAW'.
      ls_packing_list-doc_size     = 3 * 255.
      ls_packing_list-obj_name     = 'ATT01'.
      ls_packing_list-obj_descr    = 'L_12345'   "Attachment name
      APPEND ls_packing_list TO lt_packing_list.
    ==> Result: Attachment Filename = L_12345.txt
==> File as I need it (ASCII with CR/LF), but extension wrong
        Line 1
        Line 2
        Line 3
    TEST 2 **
Same as TEST 1, but with:
      ls_packing_list-obj_descr    = 'L_12345.KEY'   "Attachment name
    ==> Result: Attachment Filename = L_12345.KEY.txt
==> File as I need it (ASCII with CR/LF), but extension wrong
        Line 1
        Line 2
        Line 3
    TEST 3 **
Declare Attachment in Packing list. ..
      ls_packing_list-transf_bin   = ' '.
      ls_packing_list-head_start   = 1.
      ls_packing_list-head_num     = 0.
      ls_packing_list-body_start   = 7.  "Startline of Attachment
      ls_packing_list-body_num     = 3.  "No of Attachment lines
      ls_packing_list-doc_type     = 'KEY'.
      ls_packing_list-doc_size     = 3 * 255.
      ls_packing_list-obj_name     = 'ATT01'.
      ls_packing_list-obj_descr    = 'L_12345'. "Attachment name
      APPEND ls_packing_list TO lt_packing_list.
    ==> Result: Attachment Filename = L_12345.KEY
    ==> File Format is wrong:
        Line 1          Line 2     Line3
I have tried several other Extensions (DOC_TYPE), it seems, that the File format is only correct with "RAW", but it seems with "RAW" SAP adds ".txt" as extension to the filename.
Does anyone know how I can achieve having an e-mail attachment with multiple text lines and name "<anyname>.key"
Any help (if possible with example code ?) would be highly appreciated.
    Many thanks
    Harald
