E-mail configuration in notification
Hi Experts,
I want to send e-mail (suppose vendor having gmail or yahoomail) to vendor when notification created.
Please tell me step by step procedure to do this.

Hello,
You can achieve this by using "Followup actions" in Q-Notifications.
Go to SPRO --> QM --> Q Notifications --> NOtifications Processing --> Add Notification Functions --> Define Functions for the Action Box. REfer to SAP standard Notifications- F2 / Q2 which have follow-up activity to "Send Email".
FM - QM06_FM_TASK_SEND_PAPER_ATTACH is being mentioned in standard SAP settings. You can even define your own and get to the requirement.

Need Help in configuring workflow Notification Mailer with IMAP
Hi,
i've configured the notification mailer successfully with SMTP and it's working fine , users can receive mail notifications but the INBOUND processing doesn't work.
i've created a new mail account on the IMAP server (Outlook 2007), but when configure the Notification mailer from OAM it gives me the following error:
Unable to connect to the mail account. Check the host, user name and password.
i tried many documents from the web but till know i can't have a solution for this issue.
EBS version : 11.5.10.2
Please note that i don't have access to MetaLink.
please help if you have any suggestions.

Oracle workflow notification mailer configuration error
hi,
i am trying to setup oracle wf notification mailer and trying to put a test email address so that all the emails go to that email address.
but getting following message,
FAILURE: javax.mail.SendFailedException: Sending failed; nested exception is: class javax.mail.MessagingException: 530 5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command first. p5sm5221427pbd.12
my env:
Oracle R12 on Oracle Linux 5.5
smtp server: smtp.gmail.com
imap server: imap.gmail.com
outgoing and incoming: SSL enabled
my sendmail in Oracle linux 5.5 works fine and using that i am able to sent email address to outside world.
please advice on the above error that i am getting in notificaiton mailer configuration screen.

Error in workflow mailer configuration - Inbound Email Server

I have Windows 2000 SP4.
I have installed Oracle Workflow 2.6.3 Standalone as below
I have installed Oracle Database 10gR1 and Oracle Workflow Server 2.6.3 in same oracle home.
I have installed Apache HTTP Server 9.0.4 and Workflow Middle Tier in the same oracle home.
I have finished installation and configuration successfully.
Now I want to configure mailer parameters.
I have started Workflow Component Container and Workflow Management Container.
When I try to enter paramters for mailer I get error in Inbound EMail Account Server Name.
The error says: Unable to make a network connection.
I do not want to configure Inbound Mail Server but I need to enter these parameters as they are mandatory.
I set Inbound Thread Count = 0 so that configuration does not consider parameters for IMAP server.
My mail server is SMTP server.
Any idea how to overcome this error and continue with notification mailer configuration?
ThanksYou would need to modify all the parameters listed in this script. This script updates each of the mailer and agent listener parameter. You may edit the script to remove all API calls OTHER THAN those for "Workflow Notification Mailer".
Then update ALL the parameters for "Workflow Notification Mailer" with appropriate values with Inbound Thread Count to 0 and Outbound Thread Count to 1. Inbound Server Name, Account, Inbox, Discard and Processed values can be ignored. Make sure Outbound Server Name is valid SMTP Server name.
Values like From, HTML Agent should point appropriately as per your env.

Old Mail configuration asking for receipts
Back in 2006, using my G4, I had found someone's method of configuring Mail to request a delivery receipt from each recipient. The configuration instructions are pasted here:
+• Open Terminal (/Applications/Utilities/)+
+• Enter the folowoing text (make sure to keep all quotes exactly as is!)+
+defaults write com.apple.mail UserHeaders '{"Disposition-Notification-To"="your@address";}'+
+(of course, using your correct email address instead of "your@address")+
+• All future messages sent with Mail will now include the Disposition-Notification-To header which is the one asking for a return receipt.+
+If you wish to turn off this feature in the future, type the following in the Terminal:+

I had turned off the feature long ago. After my G4's power supply failure three weeks ago and the moving of all my files over to the MacBook, someone just alerted me that Mail is requesting delivery receipts. I tried typing into Terminal the instructions for turning the feature off, but Terminal states the UserHeader instruction was never given (and, because this is a different computer, Terminal is correct.)
Does anyone know what I can do to get Mail to stop requesting receipts?
Thanks!Good thought. I had done a global search for 'UserHeader' and the word 'receipt,' but 'UserHeader' didn't turn up anywhere on the drive, and 'receipt' showed up only in places we would expect. But I then opened the Mail.plist file to be sure, and neither 'UserHeader' nor 'receipt' was in there.
I sent a test email from that account to another email account I use and no receipt request was generated. And I'm still waiting to hear back from others I asked. But the strange thing is, this person who alerted me about it said that the requests are being sent back to the email address I was using back in 2006 but haven't used for over a year. So, something old is still lurking, either on my computer or his. Very weird. I just hope I'm not ******* off other folks with those annoying requests!

From my experience, this is affecting BIS, BES, and all services that depend on those (BBM, email, AppWorld, web browsing, application access to internet data, etc.). Troubleshooting specific problems during this outage may be pointless.
Once the outage clears, if things are not yet flowing for you, please try these steps:
1) Register HRT
Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > (it does not matter which line is current) > Register Now
2) Resend Service Books
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
3) Batt Pull Reboot
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
